Cool Hand Angelica
"Sweetie, can you come here for a moment?"
Angelica thought about telling her father no, that she didn't have a moment, but realized that it would be best to see what he wanted. After she'd been caught trying to rip out Tommy's tooth she had faced a really long punishment and only recently been allowed some privileges back. Not as many as she would have liked but better than only getting a few basic toys to play with, no dessert, and not being allowed to go anywhere. She hadn't even been sent to Uncle Stu and Aunt Didi's! Her mommy had told her that they'd decided to give her and Tommy some distance, so that hopefully the baby wouldn't freak out when he saw her…

"So how does it work, Tommy?" Phil asked.
"I'm not for sure. I think its like a magic spell. When daddy shows me a picture of Angelica I just scream and cry and then I don't have to see her at all for a whole day!"
"Do you think if we do it we won't have to see her?" Lil asked.
"Worth a shot!"

"What is it daddy?" Angelica asked.
"We wanted to talk to you about something fun we think you'd like to do this summer," Drew said, making Angelica frown. Fun to do? But she was still being punished.
"Is this like when you say Brussels sprouts are yummy when they aren't?"
Drew chuckled nervously at that and Charlotte took over. "Not at all. Your friend Susie is going to a day camp this summer… we drop you off for a few hours and you get to do a lot of fun activities. Swimming, hiking, learning how to row a boat…"
Angelica though frowned at that. "I don't know…" Honestly she'd much rather spend her time watching TV. She'd just gotten that privilege back, after all!
Charlotte, having realized real quickly this would be a hard sell, moved to her pitch. Dr. Jasper had thought having Angelica be around kids her own age would help as she spent far too much time around babies and that led to her acting out. So Charlotte decided to change her approach.
"Well, if you don't want to be like Cynthia, PI, I understand…"
"Wait!" Angelica said, starting at that. "What do you mean Cynthia PI!?"
"Well, what does she do on the show all the time?" Charlotte asked. "She doesn't sit around watching TV, after all. She is out there running and hiking and swimming after the bad guys."
Angelica's eyes lit up, images of her learning to be an awesome detective like her idol dancing in her head. "You… mean I could do all that?"
Drew and Charlotte shared a look, knowing that their little girl was going to be camp bound for sure.
