The Blizzard
"Oh look at that," Chaz said, shaking his head as he looked over Chuckie's firetruck. "one of the wheels popped off."
"No big deal, I can fix it up," Stu said, rubbing his tail bone where he'd hit it. He moved towards the basement as the phone rang. "Pop, can you answer that?"
"Sure thing!" he said, hefting Tommy up and carrying him over to the telephone. "Pickles' residents."
"Hey pop, I just wanted to let you know I'm going to be gone a little while longer."
"It ain't cause you're scared of this blizzard, are ya?" Lou complained. "This ain't nothing. Why I remember-"
Didi cut him off. "Oh no, nothing like that. We're just looking for the twins' winter clothing. Don't need them freezing when Betty takes them home."
"Well, that makes sense. Alright, I'll let everyone know." Lou hung up and walked Tommy over to the sliding door so the baby could watch the snow fall. "See there sprout, gonna have a rare winter wonderland out there tomorrow!"
Tommy let out a little gasp of surprise. He remembered seeing snow when they went to that big fun building with a lot of tiny homes built into it. He'd gotten presents and played games and he wondered if he would get to do that again!
"Though… this does seem odd ta get this heavy snow at this time of year…"
Up in Heaven the blond creator frowned as he looked over a map of the western united states while also consulting a calendar. "Run this by he again, Trixie."
Stu and Drew's mom nodded. "Right. So we had Christmas a while ago. Then summer. Now we are back to winter again."
"So its almost Christmas time?"
"No, we haven't hit that yet."
"Halloween?"
"Not there either. This is second winter. Then there is second summer, then first fall, then third summer, then we circle back to Spring skipping everything… I know there is Passover and Chanukah in there somewhere… another Christmas, another Halloween, another Christmas, a Mother's Day but no Father's Day-"
"And this is all in one year?" he asked.
"Actually its all in one month."
"So Tommy is still barely one year's old."
"Correct."
"But Dil hasn't even been conceived yet because he's still here." He waved at the jellybean-headed soul who was currently staring at the map in confusion.
"Correct."
"And how long will it take him from then to being born."
"9 months."
"Okay, so then Tommy will almost be 2."
"Not really. See, 9 fetus months and 9 baby months-"
The blond creator just began to walk away. "This timeline is stupid."
"You asked about it!"
"Because this chapter didn't have much for me to fix!"
"Meta!" Dil cooed.
