Radio Daze
"Would you look at them go," Didi said as she watched the babies play with the newspaper. Phil and Lil were having a little tug of war while Chuckie was pushing Tommy around on another one, the bald baby throwing his arms out and giggling up a storm. "Amazing what kids can do with their imagination."
"Speaking of imagination isn't it time for your radio show to come on, Pop?" Stu asked.
"Speak of the devil it is!" Lou said. "Come on kids, we need ta get some treats before we tune in! Stu, Didi, ya sure ya don't want ta join in?"
"Thanks pop but I think I'll use the quiet time to clean up," Stu said. "The living rooms gotten to be a bit of a mess."
"And I want to go through Tommy's old toys and get them cleaned up before packing them away."
"Suit yourself!"
About ten minutes later Lou had the babies set up in his room. Tommy and the rest of the sprouts got Reptar cookies to nibble on while he and Angelica were sharing some of his home made caramel corn. "Grandpa, how are we supposed to enjoy the show without seeing it?"
"You use your imagination!" Lou told Angelica, placing her on his lap. "You can envision the characters to look however you want! They'll describe what is happenin' but its up ta you ta come up with the pictures!"
"Huh…" Angelica said, not quite sure how that would work but it did get her some yummy popcorn so she was willing to give it a try.
And she had to admit… ti was rather fun to listen to the show. The babies got distracted and began to play but that just meant her and her Grandpa got to enjoy the show themselves, just the two of them.
