Hiccups
"That spider's really scary, Uncle Stu," Angelica said.
"Maybe," Stu said as he carefully took the spider outside, "but you are just as scary to it."
"Really!?"
"Well yeah. You are much bigger than it, after all. And remember, the spider is just doing its job."
That made the little girl frown. "Spiders have JOBS?!"
"They sure do! See, spiders make sure that other bugs don't get into the house. You ever see ants go after food outside?"
"Like when Tommy dropped his lollipop and couldn't have it anymore?" Angelica asked.
Stu nodded. "That's right. Ants can get into food but spiders help stop them." He set the spider out on the back step. "Luckily they can do their job outside as well as inside."
"Huh… that doesn't seem that scary then."
"It isn't. They are different but that doesn't make them bad." Stu motioned for Angelica to follow him. "Come on, isn't your show starting?"
"Oh yeah!" Angelica said, grabbing her cookies and heading into the living room… in time for her and Stu to see Tommy eating some popcorn that Stu had dropped on the floor. "Ew! Tommy is eating dirty popcorn!"
"Which is why its good we don't have ants in the house," Stu said as he picked Tommy up to make sure he wasn't going to choke on any of the popcorn. "Hey champ, why don't you sit with dad, okay?"
Tommy smiled… before letting out a hiccup.
"Oh!" Stu said as Tommy jolted at the strange sound and sensation. "That was a big hiccup champ!" Stu began to rub Tommy's back, patting it slightly. But Tommy let out another hiccup. "Hmm… Angelica, can you get a pacifier out of Tommy's bag?"
"What for, Uncle Stu?" Angelica asked.
"When you were Tommy's age you got the hiccups sometimes and a pacifier got rid of them real quick." Angelica came back with the blue pacifier and Stu teased it against Tommy's lips, the baby taking it and sucking on it. At once his hiccupping stopped. "There we go!" Stu said.
Tommy smiled as he sat on his daddy's lap, glad the hiccups were gone…
…till he realized he was sucking on a pacifier like a little baby, letting it drop onto his lap in horror.
"All done?" Stu said, having no idea his son was going through an existential crisis.

"I can't believe he's gone," Trixie said softly.
Melinda placed a hand on her shoulder. "He isn't gone. He's off to start his life. Which is going to be wonderful. Dil will-"
"SUFFER!" the blond creator cackled, rubbing his hands together. "Oh… oh I am going to enjoy tormenting that little jerk!"
Melinda and Trixie just glared at him.
"What?"
An angel knocked on the… well, cloud. "Sir, your first appointment for replacing Dil is here."
"Awesome," the creator said.
"Poof!" a baby fairy declared.
"…no," the creator said, banishing him to Hell.
