Opposites Attract
"What do you wanna do, Chuckie?" Tommy asked as the two moved away from Phil and Lil who were playing near an ant hill. They weren't interested in that so they walked through the quiet little park their mommies had taken them too. Off to the side Didi and Betty were relaxing with a teddy bear in the baby carrier, chatting about Stu's newest project.
"Well… I was thinkin' maybe we could blow on some dandelions?" He shifted, knowing that Tommy would probably not like that at all and suggest a scary adventure.
"Hmmm… okay."
"I guess we- wait, really?"
"Yeah!" Tommy said. "I've been thinkin'… you like to do some safer stuff and I likes to go on adventures. And both of those are fun! I love dandelions! They are soooo puffy!" Tommy threw his arms out. "If all you do is gos on adventures it isn't special no more! Like how if you eat too many cookies they don't taste no goods. So I think we should take turns… we blow on some dandelions then maybe we can explore that bush over there."
Chuckie considered that. "Well… I guess that wouldn't be so bad. And then we could find some bugs to talk to. But not the ones with too many leggies." He wiggled his fingers.
"Yeah! And then we can see if my mommy will push us on the swing!" He paused. "But not too high. Cus I know that makes you sick."
"…aw, you remembered!" Chuckie quickly hugged Tommy. "You're my bestest friend in the whole world, Tommy!"
"And you're mine Chuckie! Now come on, let's find some dandelions!"
"Its nice that everyone gets to do what they want," Phil said… right before his mother picked him up.
"Come on their, pups, don't want ya playin' with them there ants!"
The twins pouted.

"So is anyone else concerned that the little girl treated bandaids like they were drugs?" Melinda asked as she watched Sam offer up bandaids to another baby like they were deathsticks.
"I'm more concerned none of you noticed I switched out Dil with a teddy bear," the creator said idly.
"Wait, what?" Trixie said, blinking in surprise.
"Reread. Didi and Betty are with a teddy bear instead of Dil. He was so meaningless to the plot I was able to switch him with a stuffed animal!"

At the Pickles' home Dil pouted in his crib, annoyed that his mommy hadn't even noticed he'd been left behind. Well, she would be sorry… he offered so much to a trip to the park. Like…
Uh…
Uh…
Dil looked up at the sky.

The creator stared back down. "Don't look at me, not my fault your character was never developed beyond pooping and hitting!"
