Junior Prom

"Elisa, honey, could you stand still for a moment?" Lucy said as she worked on her daughter's prom dress.

"Mom!" the teen snapped. "This is important." She focused back on the phone. "Now then-"

The world froze.

"One day your mother will be gone," the blond creator said, appearing in front of Elisa. "She won't be there to help you anymore. But more than that… even the small things, the little things… she won't be there. You might just want to tell her a funny story or watch a show with her or ask her about a book you both read… and then you will remember that she is gone. And you are going to, in that moment, regret EVERY cruel word you ever said to her." He stared right at her with tears in his eyes. "It will BURN you."

He turned and stared right at the babies, who had also remained unfrozen.

"Same with your daddies. And your brothers and sisters. And your cousins and your friends. One day they will be gone. All of you will wish you had ONE second more with them and HATE how you wasted that time being angry or selfish."

He raised his hand. "Remember that."

With a snap of his fingers the world moved again.

"Elisa, I-"

Lucy blinked when her daughter instantly collapsed in her arms, hugging her tight. Before she could say a word Susie was tackling her, crying and holding her firmly.

"My heavens!" Didi said. "What brought this-OOMF!" She gasped as Angelica ran up and gave her a hug.

"Tommy!" Dil wailed, grabbing onto his brother and hugging him close as Phil and Lil gave Chuckie a big hug and apologized for all the mean things they'd said about him.

"Feel better?" Aria asked.

"…no," the creator whispered even as she wrapped her arms around him from behind.
