All's Well That Pretends Well

"Oh, that was a big sneeze!" Didi said, Angelica nodding as Drew held out a tissue for her to sneeze in before setting her bag down by the door.

"Yeah, Angelica might be coming down with a cold."

Didi pressed her hands to her mouth in shock. "Well, we can't take her to the Dummi Bears! That could cause an international incident."

"No Dummi Bears?" Angelica asked in horror.

"Its fine," Drew assured her. "Charlotte, can you watch the kids?" Charlotte nodded, picking up Dil and giving him a tickle while Tommy and the other babies looked over the catalog. "Angelica, remember to stay away from your cousins, okay?"

"Yes daddy!" She hurried off to look through one of her picture books.

Drew pulled Didi into the kitchen. "What was that?"

"What was what?"

"It's a cold, Didi. An international incident?"

"Well… it is French Canadian…" Drew just stared her down, annoyed. "We can't take her, Drew, she could get other kids sick."

"We have a mask for her to wear, hand sanitizer, and right now she is keeping her distance from Tommy and Dil."

"Its far too risky. I wouldn't want Angelica to be Patient Zero."

Drew folded his arms over his chest. "What, Angelica goes into a bubble because she has the sniffles? If she were running a fever and throwing up I'd agree but you are being ridiculous!"

Didi narrowed her eyes. "I'm sorry but I am thinking of the children and not just Angelica."

"And are you thinking about how Dil will probably scream and cry and ruin the show for others like always?"

"How dare you-"

"Or Tommy will need a diaper change so all the kids will miss out?"

"At least they won't get anyone sick."

"You know what?" Drew said, moving towards the door. "Charlotte, Angelica, and I will go separate from you, so we don't risk your precious babies… and I'm pretty sure TOMMY gave Angelica her cold!"

"Drew?" Charlotte asked, coming from the living room.

"Bro?" Stu called out, exiting the kitchen.

"Stu, sorry but you'll have to manage your family on your own. Angelica apparently isn't welcome in your sterile environment!"

And with that Drew left. And he managed to scalp his tickets for different ones far from the rest of their friends. Angelica did go to the show but she definitely was flagging by the end, falling asleep because she didn't feel good, but did have a good time. And for Didi she found herself with her hands full, trying to deal with Dil who DID cry from the loud noises and Tommy needing a diaper change. She got many glares from those around her thanks to Dil's sobs and finally ended up waiting outside for the show to end, which upset Dil that he wasn't able to watch.

And the next day Charlotte called to inform her that no, they wouldn't be watching Tommy and Dil for her.

Or for a while.
