Chuckie Collects
"That's a really neat rock, Chuckie!" Tommy said happily as Chuckie told him the story about his favorite rock and why it made him feel brave. "Its nice you have something like that! I feel the same way about my favorite Reptar toy! Or my studriver." He paused. "Or… I did." He rubbed his little head. Ever since his mommy and daddy had gotten the new playpen he almost never used his screwdriver anymore. "Hey!" he said suddenly. "I have an idea! Let's look to see if there are any other rocks that remind you of happy things!"
"That's a great idea!" Chuckie said and the babies set to work. And while they found all sorts of really interesting rocks that day only two more were added to the 'collection'. One was a pretty orange one that reminded Chuckie of his own hair and it made him giggle and another was a smooth white one. He liked that one because it kind of looked like Tommy's head!
"What do you have?" Stu asked, seeing Chuckie trying to carry his rocks. "Oh, those are nice. Hey… why don't I make you a little carrying case so you can bring those with you!"
Chuckie loved that idea and gave Tommy's dad a hug for the suggestion. And while within a week he forgot all about finding new rocks he would sometimes look at the soft little fanny pack Stu had made just for him and smile.
