Before Buffy jumped to her death in “The Gift”, she slept with Spike. When Willow resurrects her, she essentially re-animates ALL of the dead cells in Buffy’s body. In other words, not only does the spell resurrect her, but it also gets her pregnant.

Upon the death of Joyce Summers, friends and family gather in Sunnydale for the funeral. However, unlike Joyce’s body, buried secrets don’t stay underground forever.
