Urahara woke with a start "what's going on?" He asked confused looking around. Kumiko, sat on the floor a few feet away, started laughing
"I think you woke yourself up with your snoring" she told him around her chuckles
"I don't snore". Urahara insisted gently, rubbing his tired eyes "I fell asleep?"
"a little over three hours ago". Kumiko confirmed, getting up to come sit on his desk
"you should have woken me up". He said through a big stretch
"you needed the sleep. I managed to sort most of the paperwork anyway . There's not loads left for you to do" Kumiko said, swaying her feet back and forth
"you must have been bored out of your mind" urahara said, checking how far he got through his papers before dozing off
"you're snoring kept me company ". Kumiko laughed, as he swatted at her mumbling "I don't snore "
"I had some visitors for a while too". She started, a bit worried how he might react "Matsumoto, Momo and renji came to check on me. Apparently it's becoming known what happened last night with Kurotsuchi."
"how the hell did that get out so quick?" Urahara asked looking at her, making sure she was ok
"Lieutenant genshiro okikiba. Apparently he told renji , hearing we were friends. " she explained "the girls kinda bullied me into a sleep over tonight ". She added, hoping he wouldn't object
"that sounds like fun. It'll be good for you after yesterday" he told her with a smile. "Just keep your Reiatsu tracker with you please"
that went easier than I thought it would Kumiko mused deciding to push her luck while it was going good
"so about me going on missions?" She trailed off
urahara sighed, putting down his pen he turned to look at her again
"you can still go on them". He said, adding at her big grin "just, just not yet. Please. I want to keep you close for a few days. Make sure Kurotsuchi dosent try anything"
"that's fair,". She conceded, jumping off the desk to give him a loud kiss on the head "thank you"
"yeah yeah" he grumbled getting back to work
Kumiko smirked walking back to her paperwork
maybe shunsui is right. She laughed silently maybe he does have a hard time saying no to me
Kumiko moved her bag to her shoulder, holding the plate of cupcakes she had made after work in on hand and raised her other hand to knock the door gently
I hope this is the right one she thought
the door was opened quickly, Matsumoto laughing, grabbed Kumiko by the arm and dragged her in
"you made it!" She told her happily "come on. We're in the bedroom" she told her before dragging Kumiko down the hall
upon entering the bedroom Kumiko saw Momo sat crossed legged on the bed, reading a magazine.
"hey kumiko, you find the place ok?" Momo greeted her kindly
"yes thank you, sorry I'm late, I was just finishing making these". Kumiko said raising the cupcakes she was carrying
"ooh. They look good! Here pass them to me so you can go into the bathroom and get changed". Matsumoto said, grabbing the cupcakes from her.
Matsumoto was wearing short pink sleep shorts with a matching crop top
how that thing is containing her breasts I'll never know Kumiko silently wondered. It's a cute outfit though
turning to Momo she saw the woman was also in her pyjamas. Long black bottoms and a long sleeved button up top. Kumiko smiled at the completely different tastes the woman have.
"go, hurry. Then we can't start". Matsumoto shooed her away
"ok ok I'm going" Kumiko laughed
Returning from the bathroom, now wearing silk blue shorts and matching vest top. The same one she had bought with the few woman on their shopping trip. Hair thrown up in a messy bun. Kumiko entered the bedroom, throwing her bag on the corner before climbing up on the massive bed.
Huge pile of sweets, chocolates and kumikos cupcakes sat in the middle
"I've never been to a sleepover before". Kumiko admitted to the woman, laughing at their identical shocked faces. Both mouths open
"well I'm glad we could be your first" momo said, being the first to shake the shock
Matsumoto grabbed some of the chocolate digging in
"so, bummer about your date being canceled "
"to be honest we completely forgot until we went to bed. There was just so much happening, it slipped our minds " Kumiko said to them
"what happened?" Momo asked concerned
"what do you mean "we went to bed" ?". Matsumoto said using finger air quotes
Kumiko laughed at them speaking at the same time
"after Kurotsuchi ambushed me. Kiske went ballistic. Drew his zanpakuto at him" pausing at their gasps "shunsui stopped him doing anything though. Ukitake took me home to calm down while they went to see the captain commander ". Kumiko recalled what happened. Both woman hanging on her every word
"when they joined us back at mine, me and Kiske kind of got into it. He was telling me I couldn't go anywhere without him again. And no more missions. I didn't react very well " Kumiko laughed bringing her hand up to rub the back of her head, unknowingly picking up the trait from her friend
" how did that lead to Kyoraku staying in your bed". Matsumoto pressed her
"ukitake tried to get urahara to leave, but he said he wouldn't leave me alone. So shunsui offered to stay. I asked him to sleep in the bed with me "
"did anything happen?" The blonde asked desperate for details
"we kissed". Kumiko said waiting for their girly squeals to die down laughing
"how was it?" Momo asked her shyly
Kumiko sighed " amazing"
The three woman were on the bed catching Kumiko up on who was dating who. Who was sleeping with who, and all the other juicy gossip in the Gotei 13.
"how about Kira?" Kumiko wondered, hugging a pillow. "Is he dating anyone?"
"completely devoted to his work that one. He's so boring". Matsumoto whined
their laugher was cut off by a sudden knock at the window, the sudden fear Kumiko felt quickly died away as Matsumoto climbed over the bed to open the curtains.
The smiling faces of renji and shuhei waving through the window made Kumiko laugh
"and just what are you doing here? No boys allowed!" Matsumoto told them opening the window so they could lean in
"renji dragged me". Hisagi laughed as renji shoved him "he wanted to raid your haul". He added nodding to all the junk food on the bed
"come on, let us in and share already". Renji said, looking towards all the mouthwatering treats
"what do we think girls?" Matsumoto said turning to them with a smile, "should I send them packing?"
"let them in rangiku, we won't eat it all anyway". Momo said as Kumiko laughed
"always said you were my favourite, Momo". Renji told her with a grin as he started to climb through the window, falling to the floor as Matsumoto thumped him on the the back of the head
"damn it Matsumoto " renji said from the floor, rubbing at his sore head "what the hell was that for?" he added giving her a dirty look as he got up, making room for Hisagi to climb though, laughing at his friend.
"maybe if I was your favourite I wouldn't have hit you" she laughed. Going back to sit in the bed.
Renji huffed at her, sitting down between Momo and Kumiko, hand reaching out to grab a cupcake
Hisagi found some space between Matsumoto and Momo, but sitting a little closer to rangiku than was strictly needed
"where did you get these? They're amazing". Renji commented, taking another bite
"Kumiko made them". Momo offered, handing one to shuhei he was leaning over to reach
"you made this?" Renji turned his attention to Kumiko
"I did. " she told him with a smile, pride swelling up inside her. Kumiko loved to see people enjoying what she has cooked
"it's really good". Renji offered, Hisagi nodding in agreement
kumikos "thanks" was overshadowed by Matsumoto speaking over her
"what are you guys doing sneaking into girls windows anyway. Didn't you have plans to go drinking?"
"Kira canceled," Hisagi offered " and Kotsubaki left early, it seems ukitake is unwell again"
"so we decided to come annoy you instead ". Renji finished
"ukitake is unwell again?" Kumiko asked again, worried for her friend
"I don't think it was bad". Hisagi told her, seeing her concerned face "Kotsubaki and Kotetsu just tend to overreact where their captain is concerned "
Kumiko nodded. Deciding to take some time tomorrow to go and visit him, maybe I should take him some more soup too? thinking about how much she had put in the freezer last time, was suddenly cut short at everyone's laugher, she had missed something
"yeah, apparently one of the lower seats convinced amagai to join them for drinks,". Renji was speaking "he passed out and Kira had to take him back home, he didn't want to leave him to join us" renji laughed
Kumiko joined in, remembering the effect the captain had on her
"you know, he made me have the same reaction ". Kumiko remembered fondly
"what?" Hisagi asked confused, light blush on his face as Matsumoto leaned over him to grab some more chocolate
"when I went to see amagai? to see how I would react to his spiritual pressure? It made me incredibly drunk " Kumiko laughed along with them
"that sounds like fun". Matsumoto said giggling
"it was, it was a good reaction. Even if I did embarrass myself "
"what did you do?" Renji asked her
"I fell over, twice. And I told him his hair was fluffy" Kumiko grinned at him
"how many captains have you had reactions off so far kumiko?" Momo asked
"about half? " Kumiko tried to recall, counting on her fingers "some of the lieutenants too"
"we can make you have reactions?" Hisagi asked shocked "I didn't know that, I thought it was just the captains"
"so far any reactions to the lieutenants has been mild, it's more feelings than physical reactions, if I get one at all" Kumiko explained
"why do some effect you and others don't?" Renji asked confused
"its to do with how strong you are, if I'm stronger, I don't feel anything. If you're about the same strength I tend to feel something. The reactions increase with your strength " kumiko explained
"you'll definitely get a reaction off me" renji said a little smug "ow!" He finished, rubbing at his arm where Momo hit him
"don't be an ass". She told him softly as everyone else snickered
"what kind of reactions have you had so far Kumiko ?". Hisagi started his questions again, fully interested
Kumiko thought for a minute, trying to decide which she could speak about. Shunsui is a definite no.
"Kiskes one is fun" she decided on an easy one "he makes me have uncontrollable laugher" earning a few giggles from the girls "amagai makes me drunk. ukitake has the sweetest, he makes me feel completely safe and protected. Even if I have no control of my body, that's one of my favourites "
"what does your body do?" Matsumoto asked her
"there's like a pull coming off him. It makes me rest my head against him. we've actually been training, trying to get me to fight the pull of it. " Kumiko said, smiling at the thoughts of her friend
"how's that going? Are you managing to resist?" Hisagi questioned
"it's hard work, I'm exhausted after, but we're making progress slowly" she confirmed
"what other reactions have you had?" Renji asked her again " my captain told me you had a bad reaction to Kyoraku? What was humph " renji suddenly got knocked off the bed, a swinging pillow had hit him in the face, pushing him off
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT MOMO" renji shouted, climbing back up on the bed, only to be hit with the pillow again
"pillow fight!" She shouted back at him, whacking him on the back of the head laughing
everyone quickly grabbed a pillow and started swinging wildly,
Kumiko was laughing at their antics, quickly dodging an incoming swipe delt by Matsumoto
she was glad she came
after the pillow fight had died down, and they had all stayed up chatting and eating a ridiculous amount of junk food. Matsumoto yawned dramatically, arms raising in a stretch. Hisagi averted his eyes, blush appearing on his face, Kumiko caught it and stifled a giggle
he's got it bad for her she thought happily
"right, time for you to leave boys" Matsumoto told them "we're ready for bed, and don't want you touching us in our sleep"
renji scoffed at the notion, eyes darting to Kumiko and back before anyone had noticed. Renji stood up with a stretch of his own
"as if I would feel you up in your sleep, rangiku " he told her "I'd loose my damn hand" he mumbled, knowing how deadly the woman could be
he reached over grabbing another cupcake "im going to take one for the road" he explained as Hisagi climbed over Momo to join him at the foot of the bed
"you should make some of these for the Halloween party" He told Kumiko
"Halloween party? "
"you don't know about it? Every year the captains and lieutenants, couple of higher seats all have a big Halloween party. Basically we all dress up and get drunk " renji explained
"Kyoraku is hosting it this year" Matsumoto told her "his are always the best parties, everyone gets incredibly drunk"
"but. It's July". She asked confused, making the others laugh
"captain Kyoraku always insists on doing it in the summer, so we can use his gardens." Momo explained " He's not a fan of the cold"
"that sounds like him " Kumiko smiled "but I'm not a captain or lieutenant, so I won't be invited will I?"
Matsumoto laughed at her " between Urahara and shunsui? You'll get an invite." She told her
"even if you didn't we would have brought you as a plus one anyway " waving her off
"gives us a good excuse to go shopping again". Momo said "we need to buy costumes"
"right, shoo" Matsumoto jumped up pushing the boys towards to window "or we'll never get any sleep"
"alright we're going,". Hisagi laughed jumping out the window
"could of let us use the damn door". Renji grumbled. Taking care not to loose his cupcake in his climb.
"good night ladies " Hisagi popped hi head back in the window giving them a wave
"yeah, later". Renji said walking off
"goodnight!" The three woman called after them laughing, Matsumoto closed the window behind them. Before jumping back into her bed
"that was really fun, I've never had a pillow fight before ". Kumiko said laying down now that renji wasn't taking up the space next to her
"Matsumoto laughed, nudging Momo "we don't have them either . Where did that come from Momo"
"it was the quickest way I could think to get him to shut up. " she laughed before turning to Kumiko "I know what reaction Kyoraku have you, I was with my captain as he had kenpachi were talking about what happened in the captains meeting". She explained kindly "I didn't want renji bugging you for an answer "
"thank you" Kumiko told her "I didn't know how I was going to answer that"
"wait, what reaction did you get with Kyoraku? " Momo and Kumiko shared a glance, kumikos cheecks flushing " oh please? I can't be the only one to not know"
"he makes me feel incredible pleasure," Kumiko caved and told her " it forced me to my knees and made me moan, it was mortifying "
half expecting to hear her laugh, Kumiko was shocked when Matsumoto crawled over and hugged her
"sorry, that does sound embarrassing " she told her "but hey, at least it was Kyoraku eh? I bet it won't be long before he has you moaning without his spiritual pressure" she laughed pulling back
making Kumiko laugh as well
"come on, let's go to sleep". Matsumoto said, handing Kumiko a pillow.
The three woman climbed into bed, throwing the blanket over them, Kumiko laying across the bottom, under Matsumoto and momos feet
"good night girls"
