"Don't you go getting fresh with me, Owen Harper; I'm already spoken for. I've got a good man back home who I love, and I wouldn't hurt him for anything."

That's what Gwen should have said the first time Owen came on to her, and every other time since. She should have stood firm, stayed true to Rhys, ignored temptation, acted honourably, but she hadn't. She'd gone willingly to Owen's bed, not just once but time and again, even though she didn't love him, barely even liked him.

She'd done it because it was thrilling, because it made her feel daring, sneaking around behind everyone's backs, keeping secrets. But it had been wrong, and now the affair was over she felt so guilty. How could she ever look Rhys in the eyes again?

If she admitted to what she'd done, even if she apologised and told him it would never happen again, why should he believe her? Even if he forgave her, he wouldn't forget, and her affair would forever come between them.

Maybe there was a way. If she gave him Retcon, she could apologise, he could forgive her, and never remember her betrayal. She'd wipe the slate clean.
