"What've you got there?" Jack asked, coming up behind Ianto and peering over his shoulder at the gaily decorated wicker basket on the tourist office counter.
"It's a gift basket," Ianto informed his boss as he carefully checked the contents, moving a couple of items into better positions.
"Who's it from? Oooh, After Eights, I love those!" Jack reached for the familiar dark green box, only to have his hand slapped away. "Ouch! What was that for?"
"It's not for us, Sir, it's a thank you gift for DI Swanson. If not for her, we might still be trapped in our own base, Gwen would be dead, and who knows where Suzie would be? It's only right that we should show our appreciation to the person who got us out of that mess."
"I guess you're right, but couldn't we just send her a bunch of flowers? I mean look at this; haven't you gone a bit overboard here? Wine, chocolates, assorted nibbles, premium coffee beans, and are those scented candles?"
"Detective Swanson likes vanilla."
Jack frowned. "How'd you pay for all this?"
"I used your credit card. Now sign the gift card, and maybe I'll get you some chocolates."
