Author's Note: This is actually a crossover with the anime Full Dive: This Ultimate Next-Gen Full Dive RPG Is Even Shittier than Real Life! but I didn't see that as an option to choose, and I don't know how to add it.

Chapter 1: Taken Advantage Of

Today was going to be a good day, Bakugo was sure of it. This afternoon he'd be purchasing the new All Might Battle Challenge, along with virtually everyone else in the class. In just a few hours, they'd be able to experience being All Might. The hype was real.

It was all anyone could talk about. Including Deku. Especially Deku.

Listening to him gush about being able to play as All Might, experience what it felt like to have his quirk… it didn't feel right. The shitnerd didn't even have a quirk, why should he get to experience one?

That thought percolated throughout the day, right up until the bell rang. Deku was practically vibrating at that point, and shot up the instant class was dismissed. He wasn't alone though, and Bakugo had already let his lackeys in on the plan.

It wasn't really difficult to catch him on his way out of school. The halls were crowded, and nobody was really paying attention. Deku didn't even see them until he reached out and pulled him aside.

"Give me your money."

Deku stared at him in complete incomprehension, "W-what?"

"You heard me, Deku, I need money to buy the new All Might game." He didn't, of course, his dad had given him more than enough, but that didn't matter.

"B-b-but," Deku blubbered, "I saved for months! You should ask-"

He set off an explosion that rattled Deku, "You don't deserve to play as All Might, now hand it over."

Deku started to sweat, "Kacchan please!" He begged, going teary-eyed. It was a truly pathetic display. "I made a reservation the day it was announced! I've read every article about it!"

That was when Fingers snatched the wallet out of Deku's pocket. The quirkless loser's eyes widened, "Hey! Give it back!" He just shoved him into the wall and held him as Fingers pulled out the cash.

Just enough to buy the game. He smirked, snatching the largest bill out, "That works." He dropped the rest, bills fluttering to the floor as he and his lackeys walked away snickering.

Time to be All Might.

Izuku scrambled to recover his money, snatching up bills, a sense of dread filling him. He didn't have enough. Kacchan had taken just enough that he couldn't afford All Might Battle Challenge. Tears filled his eyes as their laughter filled his ears.

No! He had to get that game! He had to! Maybe he could find it at a discount if he begged? Or promise to pay the rest as soon as he could? He knew it wasn't likely, but he had to try. He'd beg for cash if he had to.

The hunt was met with immediate disappointment. It wasn't surprising when the clerk at the mall laughed off his meek suggestions of paying off the balance later, and asking for a discount just earned a scoff. He hit other chains, only to get similar results.

He continued his miserable search, being rejected time after time after time. He couldn't help but cry, just a little (okay, maybe not *just* a little). How could Kacchan do this to him? It was… it was almost *villainous*. He tried to block out the thought, but it wouldn't go away. He felt miserable and ill just thinking about it.

He gave up on chains, hoping and praying that an independent video game store might show more compassion. He was proven right, they didn't laugh at him at least, but he still didn't get a copy. It was already getting dark when he finally stumbled into the last shop he could find on his phone, Game Shop Kisaragi.

For a moment, he worried it had already closed. It almost looked abandoned, with a few old arcade cabinets outside and glass doors that looked opaque from lack of cleaning. He couldn't let that deter him. He ran to it and pulled the door open to reveal wall-to-wall shelves of games all neatly organized. He blinked in surprise and walked in, tinny techno filling the air as he looked around.

And then he spotted it, a poster announcing they had the newest All Might game in stock! He almost ran to the shelf, grabbing the first copy he could and… he stopped and stared at the game in his hands. "All Might Battle Arena?" He asked aloud. Yes, it was All Might in his brilliant costume, smiling up at him, but it wasn't the newest All Might adventure.

It was three years old.

He couldn't help but feel disappointed as he slipped it back onto the shelf. That was when he heard someone clicking on a computer and he turned to see, he immediately gulped. There was a girl sitting at a computer, a very pretty girl. A very pretty girl wearing a shirt that outlined her figure almost perfectly.

He gulped again.

Was she an employee? He looked down the aisles but didn't see anyone else. But she hadn't greeted him either, so maybe she was just… he didn't know, renting their LAN like an internet cafe? He wasn't even sure people still did that, he was never invited along to anything like it.

If she was an employee though, he had to ask her. She was his only hope to get All Might Battle Challenge. "U-uh, e-excuse me?" He asked, voice trembling as he spoke.

She looked up immediately, a broad smile crossing her face, "How can I help?"

His mouth went dry. He'd never really talked with… girls before. None of the girls in class would talk to him outside of teasing or mocking him. And he really didn't know anyone outside of class. He'd talked with women before, but none as attractive as the one in front of him.

No! He had to focus! All Might needed him! Or the other way around!

"H-hello," He stammered, "I was hoping–do you have All Might Battle Challenge?" His voice shrank as he spoke, growing ever more embarrassed until ending in a squeak.

"Did you say All Might Battle Challenge?"

He hesitated before nodding. "Y-yeah. The one that just came out?"

She began to laugh. A small little laugh that quickly escalated into cackling that set the hair on the back of his neck on end.

"A-are you okay?" He asked, cringing.

Her hand slapped the table and she got up, marching over to him. His eyes widened as she approached, and he tried desperately to look her in the face. "That franchise is dead. Seriously, how many are they gonna churn out?"

His jaw dropped as he stared, "What?"

"C'mon, we're living in the twenty-third century. That's the eleventh All Might game! All they change is the title."

"They add new villains!" Izuku protested weakly.

She snorted, "New villains who get curb stomped. It's the same game every time."

"So… you don't have it in stock?" He asked, trying to duck the subject.

She placed her hands on her hips and stared down at him, "What are you, a lemming? You're only buying the game out of habit. It's like following his career, he wins every time, it just gets boring after a while!"

"B-but if he lost, people would die." Izuku stammered, backpedaling.

"Yeah, but this is a video game! There's never any challenge! You might as well be watching a movie."

"That–" That made a surprising amount of sense, as much as he warred against the thought. Playing as All Might was thrilling, but he couldn't remember losing before, not even on the harder difficulty settings. "Huh." He bit his lip, "B-but wait, don't you work here? Why would you try to convince me not to buy the game?"

"Hey, chill," She took another step closer, "I got what you need."

His eyes widened even as he took a step back so he could maintain eye contact, "How much?"

"Ten thousand."

His mouth went dry, "Yen?" He asked desperately.

"Yup."

"Before tax?"

"After."

His heart skipped a beat! He had enough! Her smile lingered on him, and for a moment she looked almost angelic, a savior he could get the game from!

"What do you say?"

"I'll take it!" He said, fishing out his wallet.

She headed over to her computer desk and began digging through the counter, "Just give me a second. Should be right around here." He could hear the shuffling of games and felt a jolt of excitement when she announced "Jackpot!" in a singsong voice.

He almost threw the bill at her in his excitement, grabbing the game while she thanked him for buying only for him to do a double take at the game cover. There was no All Might on the cover. None of the bright colors or fancy costumes. Instead, it was a black cover with kanji for Kiwame Quest dominating the center and a stylized sword pointing to the bottom of the box beneath it.

Even as his mind began to process it, she teleported to the register and put his money in the till. He blinked, as she closed it, his mind still catching up. "W-wait." He found himself saying, "I didn't–"

She stood up, towering over him, "Try the game, nerd. It's a way better hero game than All Might Battle Challenge. We're talking full-dive VR. An RPG that's the absolute ultimate in realism."

"B-but I want to play as All Might!"

"Look kid, you want to be a hero right?" He couldn't help but nod, and she smiled, "I don't know what your quirk is, but pretending to be All Might won't teach you anything."

He groaned, face falling, "I… I don't."

"Huh?"

"I don't… have a quirk."

She blinked at him, and then her smile returned, "That's great! Even better!"

"W-what?" He looked back up at her, "How could that be even better?"

"Kiwame quest doesn't have quirk functionality. You'll have to train to become a hero just using your abilities from the real world."

Now it was Izuku's turn to go wide-eyed as she apparated in front of him and turned the box over in his hand. The warning was clear, players wouldn't have access to their quirks in-game. He blinked, staring at it before catching the CERO rating. "W-wait, this is ZZ! Can I even buy this?" He didn't even know ratings could go that high.

"Relax, it's not restricted against guys your age."

"But I'm only fourteen."

"It's just a guideline for retailers. You're good." She hesitated, "Okay, maybe don't show your parents." Izuku's shoulders collapsed, and she gave an exasperated sigh, "Look, I promise it'll be okay! I'll even be online to help."

"You play it too?"

"Oh yeah, I spend a lot of time logged into this one." She smiled at him, "I can teach you whatever you need to know. I'm very patient with noobs."

"But how will I find you?" His voice took on a plaintive whine.

She rolled her eyes, "My name is Reona Kisaragi, Reona to my friends. You can chat me in-game, but if you want to make sure I'm on, I can give you my contact info."

"What?" Izuku asked in a squeak.

"Look, just give me your phone and I'll put in my contact info." And then she held out her hand.

Izuku stared at it like a snake waiting to bite. If he gave her his phone to add her contact info, she'd see he only had his mom, Mrs. Bakugo, and Kacchan's numbers in there. And Kacchan's hadn't worked in ages. "I-I can enter it?" he said feebly, sweating in a panic.

"Sure, whatever." She said and rattled off her number. He sent a text saying hello, and heard her phone chime. One check later and she gave him a thumbs up, "That should do it. See you online!"

And before he could say another word, she teleported back to her computer.

Author's Note: Ah. I've been planning to write this for a while. I'm not sure how many people here have watched Full Dive, but I loved it. For those familiar with Full Dive and worried about where I'm going with this, I recommend you review the tags and think about Izuku's personality versus Hiroshi.

And if you don't think Bakugo would rob Deku to stop him from getting something he wanted, I recommend you rewatch the first episode. This is very much in keeping with his attitude while in Aldera.
