Five days. That's how long it's been since anyone has seen Spider leave the shack. To say Kiri was mad would be an understatement. She was beyond furious with her dad, and especially her mother. She remembers when her dad returned home after speaking with Spider. She pressed him until he told her about their conversation.

Oh was she mad. But what made it worse is when her mom was mad at Spider for yelling at dad. After that, she stopped talking to her parents.

Lo'ak and Tuk tried to get her to talk to them, mainly because Lo'ak felt like their family was starting to break apart and Tuk hates seeing her family fight, but Kiri was stubborn.

She wouldn't, not until her parents made things right with Spider and swear that Spider would not be sent to Earth.

She lost him once, the thought of losing him again... she wouldn't know what she would do.

She tried to visit him immediately after her dad told her what happened. But when she put in the passcode, which was the day her and Spider met, it wouldn't work. She knocked but Spider wouldn't answer. She knew he was in there because she had heard him talking to himself again.

She tried again, that time bringing Spider food, but again no answer.

So for the past days she brings him food, knocks on the door, asking if she could come in, and when no answer she would remind him that she was there if he needed her, leave the food, and come back during the next meal.

Lo'ak and Tuk tried to go with her, but she told them that it would probably be better if it's just her for now.

She hated this. She just got her best friend back and now it feels like she's losing him again.

She couldn't sleep that night, so she decided to try to talk to Spider.

As she made her way, she thought about what to say to him.

She expected the night to go many ways, but she didn't expect Spider to be leaving the shack and heading to the forest.

Kiri stood still for a moment, surprised that Spider was outside.

When Spider entered the forest, she followed. Not to close, not wanting him to know she's there.

Kiri followed until she lost him. She only looked away for 2 seconds, looking at the forest in awe, and lost him.

Great...

"Why are you following me?"

Kiri turned and saw Spider right behind her.

Kiri's eyes widened. The forest providing enough light that Kiri is certain of what she's seeing.

Spider's eyes were yellow.

But how? The last time she saw him she saw his eyes were brown. They've always been brown. How could they-

"I will ask again." "Spider" spoke as he unsheathed his knife. "Why are you following me?"

Kiri went to grab her knife, but only grasped air. Now remembering that she left her knife back at the pod. So instead she held her hands up.

"Spider, please, put the knife down." She pleaded.

"Spider's" eyes seemed to soften for a moment before going back to being cold.

"Are you alone?"

Kiri nodded.

"Spider" seemed to be in thought before he finally sheathed his knife.

"Go back." "Spider" said, walking pass her.

"Wait!" Kiri spoke reaching to grab "Spider's" arm.

He turned to her, leaning back a bit when she leaned closer, squinting her eyes.

She backed up, not letting go of "Spider", and let out a hiss.

"You are not Spider! Who are you!? Where is Spider!?"

"Spider" smiled sinisterly. "Spider always said that you were smart. But I didn't think you would find out about me this soon."

"Spider" forced his arm out of Kiri's grasp.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Scorpion. Oh, and as for where Spider is. He's in here," He points to his head. "Sleeping peacefully. You're probably wondering how I came to be, sadly, that's for me to know and you to find out."

Scorpion chuckled, enjoying seeing the look on Kiri's face.

"I'll tell dad!" Kiri speaks with warning in her tone. She didn't trust this Scorpion.

Scorpion's face went terrifyingly blank for a moment before rage filled his eyes and pounced on Kiri, surprising Kiri with the amount of strength he had, knife unsheathed and at her throat.

"If you dare tell anyone about me, not only will you endanger yourself, but you will endanger Spider. And I know that's not something you want. And don't think about telling Spider about this. He wouldn't believe the one who abandoned him, over the one who has comfort him, cared for him, protected, and love as a sibling."

Kiri honestly couldn't believe what she was hearing. But she knew, he was right.

From what it sounds like, him and Spider have spend more time together than with anyone else. The chances of him believing her are low.

She sighed in defeat. "Fine. I won't tell anyone. But if I find out that you hurt him in anyway I will tell people."

"...Fair enough." Scorpion said as he got off of Kiri, putting the knife away.

Scorpion pointed in the direction they came from. "Leave. And if you ever follow me out here again I will rip you tail off."

Kiri gave him one last look, before turning and leaving.

She could feel Scorpion's eyes on her until she was far enough.

What was she going to do? Scorpions was right that she could unintentionally cause Spider harm.

Who knows how her parents would react?

She doesn't trust Scorpion. But she worries for Spider.

Maybe she could talk to Spider. Tell him that she knows about Scorpion. But he would ask how.

Well people don't call her a freak for nothing. And not just because she's not a full Na'vi.

She smiled at herself.

"Someone's at the door. It's not the Sully's." Scorpion spoke as Spider was eating some oatmeal, something that Scorpion spit out when he tried.

Spider turn towards the door. He used the extra blankets that Norm had given to cover the windows and the door, he didn't after the talk with Jake, angry.

"How do you know?" Spider whispered taking the last bite of oatmeal and started quickly washing the plate.

"I've memorized how the Sully kids knock. And I'm sure Jake and Neytiri wouldn't come knocking." Scorpion did have a point on the last bit.

Spider drys his hands and went to the door.

Out of everyone he expected, it wasn't Roxto.

"Roxto?" Spider said, stepping outside, closing the door. "What are you doing here?"

Roxto and his family had went to visit his aunt in another village 5 days ago. He didn't know he was back.

Roxto stood up straight, hand behind his back. Keeping eye contact with Spider. "During my time away I found out that my aunts village was one of the ones attacked by the sky people."

Spider felt his blood go cold as Scorpion was ready to attack if necessary.

"My aunt spoke of a human that saved not just the lives of her village, but the lives of the other villages attacked. When I asked what the human looked like, she said that they looked like you."

Roxto stare softened. "You save them."

Spider lowered his head. "But their homes were still destroyed."

"Homes can be destroyed and rebuilt. You saved the lives of many and for that," Roxto grabbed his wrist and turned Spider's hand, palm up. "My family and I give you this." He places a small white shell with light blue stripes.

"For your songcord."

Spider couldn't believe it. But before he could say anything Roxto spoke. "I owe you Spider. Anything you need or need help with, ask." With that he turned and left.

Spider just stood there staring at the shell.

"You earned it." Scorpion spoke with pride.

Spider smiled, turned, and was about to put in the code when he heard. "Spider!"

Spider turned and saw Kiri running towards him.

Spider wanted to turn and quickly put in the code and go back inside, but Kiri was already in front of him grabbing his arm trying to drag him somewhere.

"Oh Spider, I was blind before. But Eywa has shown me the truth! There is something inside of you, but don't worry! I'll take you to mom, and if she can't help then-" "NO!"

Kiri froze when she heard Spider yell. Spider yanked his arm out of her grip, fear in his eyes. Unlike Scorpion, who was angry, wondering what Kiri was up to.

"How much do you know?" Spider questioned.

"Eywa has shown me that, whatever that thing is, is the reason why you have been acting strange." She spoke.

Spider couldn't believe it. "Please, don't tell people. They wouldn't understand. I swear he's not a threat! He's my friend and- and if you got to know him, you'll see."

Kiri's eyes held distrust then soften. "Ok, I won't tell anyone. But you need to tell me everything. Deal?"

Spider nodded and motioned Kiri to follow him inside.

Scorpion wishes that looks could kill. That way Kiri would be at the center of the planet.

"I-I have no words." Kiri said, grief in her voice. Spider had told her the same thing Scorpion told him of how he came to be. That included telling her about the machine.

It was silent while Kiri processed the information.

"So while we were here living our lives, you were forced to go through this... this..." Kiri couldn't say it. To her it was forced tsaheylu. A crime against Eywa! She couldn't imagine how much pain Spider went through. She was trying hard not to cry.

Spider put a hand on her shoulder. "I-it's ok Kiri. I'm here now." He moved his hand, cupping her face. A reassuring smile on his face. "I'm ok."

Kiri smiled, tears in her eyes, grabbing her mask to take a breath, then put a hand on the back of his head, and connected their foreheads.

Something they both have done since they were young.

And something that they would keep doing until the end of time.

Scorpion remained quiet, allowing them to have their moment.

Kiri backs away and wipes her tears. "Is that why when Norm suggested a brain scan, you said no?"

Spider looked away and nodded. He knows that Norm would never hurt him, but the thought of a brain scan scared him.

Kiri gave Spider a look. "Spider, you need that brain scan. What if that machine left any permanent damage and we don't know?"

Spider's eyes turned yellow. "A little late for that because if he gets a brain scan they'll see me. And I already checked there was no permanent damage."

Kiri stared at him, then sighed. "Ok, I can see you point." She points to his eyes. "Do your eyes always change when your in control?"

Scorpion nodded.

"What about your stripes? I know there wasn't extra paint."

Scorpion seemed to need a moment to think of an answer.

"I... I'm not sure. They just appeared. I looked at his skin cells where the stripes were and they were different. I don't know how it happened."

Kiri gently grabbed his arm, examining the stripes.

Scorpion yanks his arm away. Giving Kiri a look that said 'If you touch me again, it's not going to end well for you.'

"Sorry."

"Apologize to her." Spider tells Scorpion.

He sighs. "I'm sorry too."

It was quite until Kiri spoke. "I love what you did with your hair Spider. It looks amazing." She didn't get a chance to compliment his hair sooner.

Scorpion stared at Kiri for a moment and said. "He says 'thanks.' I actually, was the one that did his hair." And helps Spider take care of it.

Kiri was a little shocked by the answer but then smiled. "You did a wonderful job. I especially love the braids and having the beads at the end of them."

Scorpion looked at her, not expecting a compliment, a small smile creeping on his face.

Kiri noticed that Scorpion had a different smile than Spider.

Scorpion was happy. He finally finished his project. Now all he had to do was wait for the perfect time.

He was about to enter the shack when he stopped and looked at the sea. He's thought about going in but never did. He then shrugged, figuring it wouldn't hurt.

He walked up to the sea and hesitantly, walked in. He went deeper until he was swimming a bit from the island. The sea was beautiful during eclipse.

He swam around, watching the glowing and colorful fish swim around.

Pandora was beautiful, Scorpion wonders what the other parts of Pandora look like.

He wouldn't mind exploring all of Pandora, seeing all the different parts.

He can imagine exploring with Spider. Traveling Pandora. Far, far, from both the Sully's and the sky people. Not having to worry about war. Living their lives as they please.

Just him, Spider, and...Quaritch.

He wonders where he was. He had to be alive, from Spider's memories, his wounds weren't fatal. Unless he was found by Na'vi, he should still be alive.

He needs to find a way to convince Spider that Quaritch is his true family. He needs to wait for the right moment, give Spider the projects he's been working on, and find the right words to persuade him.

He didn't want to resort to the other solution. He kinda did it before.

But whatever happens, there is one thing Scorpion is certain about, he WILL keep Spider safe.

Spider felt like all of his bones were sore. Like if he was swimming the whole night.

"That would be my doing. I wanted to experience the sea myself. Figured the best time was during the night."

Spider stretches. "Yeah," his voice drowsy. "That's for the best." He stood up and went to the bathroom.

He started brushing his teeth when Scorpion said. "I think you have something all over your face... and body?" Scorpion wasn't sure if he was seeing things right.

Spider spits the foam out. "What do you-" Spider saw it. Bioluminescent markings, or as Scorpion likes to call it, Na'vi freckles.

Spider leans closer to the mirror to get a better look since it was bright and a little hard to see.

Spider blinked once. Twice. Leaned over to turn the lights off.

They were still there. Glowing in the dark.

He flicked the lights back on and stared at the mirror, mouth open.

Both stared at the mirror for a moment before Spider raised his hand and slaps his own face. "Ow!"

Scorpion rolled his eyes. "Did you expect that slapping yourself was painless?"

"Oh I'm so sorry. It not like I suddenly woke up and see these on me." Spider replied sarcastically.

Scorpion bit his tongue and said. "Are you going to tell Kiri and Roxto?"

Roxto had become the only one, aside from Kiri, that Spider talked to. They all grew close over the two weeks. He accidentally found out about Scorpion. He over heard Kiri talking to Scorpion outside the shack, thankfully he swore to not tell anyone. Spider had been surprised that Scorpion took an interest in Roxto. He figures it has something to do with him being a different type on Na'vi since he only knows the forest people.

"I-I don't know. Roxto is visiting the Tree of Souls to visit his grandfather. He asked if me and Kiri would accompany him since he doesn't like to go alone."

"Why doesn't he just go with his parents?"

"He said that they were busy. What am I gonna do?" Worry in Spider's tone.

"How about this, I've never took control around Roxto. I'll take control and just say that it happens when ever I'm in control. As for Kiri, she won't question it at the moment. So it should be enough time to figure out what to say."

"You sound so confident."

Spider feels Scorpion hug him. Sometimes he wonders how he can the heat for Scorpion's body.

Scorpion didn't reply. He didn't have to. The hug was enough.

"Where's Kiri?" Scorpion asked as he stepped outside the shack. Roxto didn't look at him, he looked like he didn't want to answer but spoke anyway. "When I went to get her, her and her mother were arguing. She said that she would see us when we returned."

Scorpion felt anger. "Let me guess, she was mad that Kiri was spending all her time worrying about Spider?"

Roxto looked at him with confusion before realization hit him. "Scorpion?"

Scorpion brought his hand up to his forehead and extended it. "I See you, Roxto."

Roxto returned the gesture. Still somewhat surprised. He knew of Scorpion, but they never spoke to each other.

Spider and Kiri told him about the eyes, but not about the dots on him. He poked Spider's skin in curiosity and amazement.

Scorpion flinched, not used to people touching him.

Roxto retracted his hand. "Sorry."

Scorpion shook his head. "No worries."

Roxto helped Scorpion get on the liu, put a hand on Scorpion's/Spider's chest, and they left the village.

Scorpion watched the sea in awe as the went to the Cove of the Ancestors. He could even feel Spider's admiration for the sea.

Once they reached the Tree of Souls they got off the liu and swam closer.

Once they were close enough Roxto grabbed his queue and made the connection.

Scorpion stayed close, knowing Roxto was close to his grandfather, and was still hard for him to accept. It was understandable that he didn't want to alone visiting his grandfather.

"It looks different than the one back at the forest." Spider said. Scorpion flinched, Spider hadn't spoke at all. "It is. I wonder what the Tree of Souls looks like everywhere-" Scorpion froze. "Do you hear that?" It sounded like a heartbeat.

"Yeah... it sounds like a heartbeat. Strong. Mighty."

Scorpion looks at the Tree of Souls. He stares at it as the heartbeat continues.

He reaches a hand and as soon as he touched the Tree of Souls, a light flashed and he was no longer in the sea.

He was in the forest. Not only that. He was in his body, not Spider's.

"Scorpion?"

He turned and saw Spider, without his mask. He would've freaked out if Spider hadn't spoke. "Where are we?"

Scorpion looks around. "I...I'm not sure." Scorpion stood straight, ear twitching. "Someone's coming." Pulls Spider behind him.

A figure appears. "Never thought I'd see you here."

Spider looks like he's seen a ghost. "N-Neteyam?"

Neteyam smiles. "It's me."

Spider tried to go to him but Scorpion held him back.

"Scorpion?"

"How are you here? You died."

Neteyam looks at Scorpion. "So you are Scorpion?"

"*hiss* How do you know my name?" Voice stern and threatening.

Neteyam holds his hands up "Easy. I'm not a threat. I'm here to send a message. To both of you."

"From who?" Spider asked.

"From Eywa."

Spider and Scorpion stare at him shocked

"She says she sees both of your struggles. And will help you."

"Help us how?"

"You both will see." As soon as he said that the roots from the ground lifted from the ground and started grabbing Spider and Scorpion.

"What the-" They tried to get their legs out but they couldn't move them an inch.

The roots kept growing trapping them. They kept struggling but nothing worked.

Scorpion watched as the roots kept covering Spider. He watched as the roots covered his head. He saw fear in his eyes before the roots covered his whole head.

The root were starting to cover his head.

He felt something.

Something he hasn't felt before.

Fear

When Roxto disconnected from the Tree of Souls he figured he, Spider, and Scorpion would return home and meet Kiri at the beach. They would talk until they decided to sleep. Perhaps swim a bit. Maybe even spend time in the shack.

But what he didn't expect was to see Spider having a, what he believes is called, a seizure.

He froze as Spider was shaking violently, his eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he looked like he was struggling to breathe.

Roxto quickly swam to Spider, grabbed him, swam to the surface, and quickly called for the liu.

Thankfully the liu came quickly and Roxto got the both of them on the liu. He looked at Spider and saw he wasn't breathing.

Panicked, he ripped Spider's mask off and breathed into Spider's mouth, like how he remembers how Neteyam did with Kiri. After a few tries he managed to get Spider to breathe he told the liu to swim back home quickly.

Leaving behind Spider's mask.

Kiri waited patiently for Roxto and Spider to return. She had a argument with her mother so she couldn't go with. Though she doesn't mind to much, it'll give Roxto, Spider, and Scorpion some time spend together. One thing Kiri likes about Scorpion is his curiosity about Pandora. They all made a joke about traveling all around Pandora, but that actually sounded like a great thing to do.

Kiri kept waiting until she saw Roxto and Spider on a liu. She smiled until she saw Roxto's scared expression and Spider limp on the liu.

Kiri ran up to them and helped Roxto get Spider off and lay him down on the sand "What happened?!"

"I don't know. When I disconnected from the tree he was having a seiz-ure. I came as fast as I could."

Kiri saw that Spider was breathing. That was a good thing reusing eSpider didn't have his-

"Roxto."

"Yes?"

"Where's his mask?"
