Gibbs and Tony enjoyed their time in the shower together, though after what they did they really did need a shower. By time they were finished, they were wore out not only from having shower sex but from their day at the zoo. They held each other and were out. During the middle of the night a storm came up scaring Kami. She found her way into Tony's room and climbed in the bed in-between the guys.
Unfortunately, Gibbs didn't get to do the one thing he loved in the mornings, getting to see the sunshine in the bedroom window and making Tony's face look like it was almost glowing.
McGee called him around 4 a.m. to inform him of a sailor that had been found in the Potomac.
As Gibbs went to get out of bed, Tony stirred slightly, but didn't fully wake up. As Gibbs was getting ready to leave, he gently brushed a hand over Tony's hair and kissed his forehead.
"I love you Tony. I'll see you at work." Gibbs smiled.
Tony mumbled something but remained asleep. Gibbs turned his attention to Kami, who was snuggled up next to Tony, her small body rising and falling with each breath. He kneeled down beside her, kissed his fingers, and lightly touched her forehead.
"Bye, princess. Papa Gibbs has gotta go to work." he whispered.
As Gibbs stood up, he cast one last glance at Tony and Kami, their peaceful expressions bringing a bittersweet smile to his face. He quietly slipped out of the room, leaving them to their restful slumber.
Gibbs got in the sedan and took a deep breath, steeling himself for the challenges that awaited him at work. Though his duty called, his heart longed o be back with Tony.
Something felt off. He could feel it in his gut, but he couldn't put his finger on what it was. He pushed it aside and wanted to hurry and get the case done. He was looking forward to seeing Tony and Kami later that morning at the office. Whatever the feeling was, it would subside after he saw the love of his life and the beautiful toddler
