Chapter 32: Mission Briefing.
At the briefing room, lots of Osean, IUN, Emmerian, Ustian, Sapinish, Erusean, Aurelian, Leasathian, Belkan, and Yuktobanian pilots, along with Trigger and the LRSSG, Mobius, Garuda, Windhover, Avalanche, Sky Kid, Stingray and Sol squadrons and the volunteer pilots are sitting as they prepare for the mission briefing. Everyone stood up at attention as Lincoln entered the room. A briefing screen loads up, showing the Planet Earth.
"Everyone here? A lot of you probably haven't met before, but just listen up for now. Two days ago, the question on whether or not we are alone in the universe has been answered. A massive alien mothership has entered Earth's orbit and has deployed two dozen smaller City Destroyers, as we called it, with the intention of annihilating the world's major cities and they are 15 miles in width. Most of the world's capital cities like Oured, Cinigrad, Dinsmark, Farbanti, Gracemeria and San Salvacion are destroyed. A counterattack was initiated the next day, but ended in disaster due to the alien shield defenses and their attacker's weaponry. Due to this, the world's militaries were forced to retreat from their bases to prevent the invaders from destroying them, and take refuge at unknown locations. Now for most of you, you were forced to take refuge at Area 95. You have also learned that we have a captured alien spacecraft that crash-landed here back in the 1980s and we have fixed it and is now flyable. Now, a new plan is about to take effect soon. Here's your mission. Our radar has detected an alien City Destroyer heading southeast. For the past day, we couldn't stop the invaders' ships due to their defensive shields, which will cause the lives of thousands of air force pilots worldwide, but now a new proposal to get rid of the shields is in motion. The proposal was made by a civilian name Henry Grabner. Here's the plan. Our captured alien attacker will be flown to space, piloted by OADF Captain Michael Wilson, TAC name Shooter, with Grabner by his side. They will approach the alien Mothership. Once they dock with it, Grabner will upload the package. They will fire the nuclear warhead and escape from the ship. We will monitor it from our command center. Meanwhile, aircraft, with Trigger leading the charge, will approach the City Destroyer. However, do not engage the ship until the package has been delivered. Once the package is delivered, Trigger will fire a single missile at the target. Once we get a confirmed hit, you are cleared to engage it. Our ground forces at Area 95 will assist you in the assault." Lincoln said.
"With so much at stake, this will be the largest global counteroffensive in the history of mankind." Fencer said.
"That is if mankind survives this invasion." Windhover said.
"No way we're gonna let these aliens take this planet." Count said.
"We're gonna let them know that this is OUR home. We had it first." Viper 2 said.
Jaeger then noticed the looks on Trigger, Mobius 1 and Talisman's faces.
"With the looks on the faces of Mobius 1, Talisman and Trigger, I know exactly what they want to do." Jaeger said.
"If Trigger, Mobius 1 and Talisman are ready to kick alien ass, then so am I." Húxiān said.
"Damn straight. We're with you three." Skald said.
"The Ribbon Fighter, Gracemeria's Angel and Three Strikes flying together in battle. Three aces. Never thought we would ever see that happen." Seymour said.
"Same here." Omega 11 said.
"History in the making." Jaeger said.
"This is it, the fate of mankind rests on your shoulders as well as other military pilots from around the world. Remember, we need heroes after this war too. Make it back in one piece. Dismissed and Godspeed." Lincoln said.
