Many hours later, it was now dusk, and with still no luck trying to reach the Never-Realm, P.I.X.A.L. and Dragon were sitting on the steps while Maggie had gone inside to help Cirrus with her baby. "I am beginning to wonder if there could be a reason for our failure." P.I.X.A.L. said as she got up and puts her hand on her hips.
"Like what?" Dragon asked.
"Perhaps there is something about the nature of the Never-Realm itself that prevents the Traveler's Tea from working? Perhaps it is the only realm which cannot be reached by Traveler's Tea?"
"Let us hope it is not so." He grabs the teapot. "Otherwise, the Ninja are lost forever, Cirrus will never speak to me again, and her son will grow up without father figures." He pours the tea into the cup before standing up and waves the steam forward. Soon, a portal opens to a dark skied realm with green mist.
"Is it the Never-Realm?"
Dragon looks closer. "I am not sure." They both look at each other until growling is heard. "Did you hear that? It sounds like the Land Bounty."
"I do not believe that is a mechanical sound." P.I.X.A.L. starts to back away.
"It has to be. Listen." He looks closer, only to see a tentacle wrapping around a tree before more appear. "No. Impossible. It's the Departed Realm." He starts to wave steam at the portal while backing away as the tentacles start heading toward it. "No!"
The portal starts to close, only for the tentacles to start coming out while forcing the portal to expand. "Something is coming through." More tentacles slowly started to come out and start to wrap around the monastery until something comes out.
At the same time, Maggie and Cirrus come out to the training ground. "What is it now?" Cirrus asked as she rushed over to them while Maggie limped while using the broken Gyorui spear as a cane. They both then look at what is coming out of the portal until it was fully out. It was the Preeminent. P.I.X.A.L. quickly moved right to avoid a tentacle before pulling Dragon back to avoid another and soon pushes everyone down to the right to avoid another.
They all soon turn to see the Preeminent leaving the monastery. "No!" Dragon yelled as the Preeminent leaves the mountain. Dragon opens the gates to see the Preeminent taking off as the girls came up behind him. "What have I done?"
"The Preeminent?" Cirrus asked, recognising the creature.
"The Pre-what?" P.I.X.A.L. asked, not knowing since she was inside Zane's head at the time.
"The Preeminent is the living embodiment of the Cursed Realm." Maggie replied.
Cirrus then turned to Dragon, angered. "This is all your fault!" She said, coming up to him and started to poke him fiercely. "If you hadn't have been that desperate, you wouldn't have released it!"
"Cirrus, please." Dragon replied. "I didn't mean for it to happen."
"Cirrus." Maggie said, coming up to her. "That's enough. We have to deal with the problem at hand right now."
"Sound the alarm and alert the city." P.I.X.A.L. said. "I will take care of the Preeminent." She rushes back inside while Maggie, Cirrus and Dragon head for the console.
In the hallway, P.I.X.A.L. quickly gets out three shurikens before entering the living room and throws them at the dartboard, moving it back. She then grabbed a nursing bottle close by and throws it at the button to hit it, opening the secret elevator in the process. She vaults over the couch and backflips to head inside the elevator before it closes and she places her hand on the scanner.
In the hangar bay, alarms were going off as P.I.X.A.L. somersaulted out of the elevator through the opening door and runs towards the centre as a hatch opens up to unveil her mech on a platform. She quickly climbs onto it, gets in the control seat and starts up her mech. "Initiating Protocol Kaiju." Her helmet soon slides on and the visor opens up as she checks her control panel to see everything is fully charged. "Primary laser initiate." She presses a nearby button, activating the thrusters. "Halo jets initiate." She then pressed another button to boost them. "Safety protocols disabled." Her helmet's visor soon closes before she controls her mech to fly out through the opening vehicle bay doors and heads towards Ninjago City.
In Ninjago City, civilians see the Preeminent move along the street, slamming its tentacles around before they quickly start to run away. "Evacuate." A nearby PA speaker called out. "Evacuate. Evacuate. Evacuate. Evacuate. Evacuate." A helicopter flies up next to the Preeminent.
Inside the helicopter was Gayle and Vinny. "What is that thing?" Gayle asked.
"A slimy tentacle monster." Vinny replied, stating the obvious, making Gayle roll her eyes.
The Preeminent grabs a nearby car, making its alarm system go off before throwing it at the helicopter, but misses as it flies past while the Preeminent whipped its tentacles across the city.
In the helicopter, Gayle turns to Vinny as he started to film her. "Gayle Gossip, Ninjago City News, on the scene, over midtown, where a gigantic creature is attacking the city." The Preeminent soon rises up behind her before roaring, sending the helicopter flying ahead of its direction, spinning. "We'll be back after a short message!" Pretty soon, Gayle and Vinny scream as they were bounced around by the spinning before P.I.X.A.L.'s mech shows up, catches the helicopter and puts it on a nearby rooftop. Gayle sighs out of relief as she gets up to see her saviour. "Samurai X." Vinny gets up as well. "Thank you."
"Thanks are unnecessary." P.I.X.A.L. said. "It is the civic duty of all citizens to-" She was cut off when some of the Preeminent's tentacles soon wrapped around her mech, drags her back, and throws her into a nearby building.
She drops down, leaving a crack in the road before jumping back and moving to the left as the Preeminent nearly strikes her with its tentacles. It then turned to the mech and roared before P.I.X.A.L. raises the mech's left arm to fire some missiles at it. The Preeminent raises two tentacles to its eye to protect it, and the missiles soon explode. P.I.X.A.L. quickly turned the mech around and takes off as the Preeminent soon chased after her. While she flew up into the air, the Preeminent lands on a rooftop as P.I.X.A.L. turns the mech around, narrowly missing a tentacle swipe as she circles around it and tries to strike the Preeminent, only for it to raise a tentacle to swat her away. P.I.X.A.L. manages to regain control and charges at the Preeminent, ramming into it and brings it down to street level with her, crashing into a building. She lays down a punch, briefly fazing it before trying again, but it jumps out of the way before striking the mech, sending it sliding down the road with alarms going off inside it.
The mech soon stopped as Gayle and Vinny ran at the corner of the rooftop they were on to see the Preeminent coming towards it. "You're getting all this, right, Vinny?" Vinny was more concerned, instead of aiming the camera out to them. "You should be getting this."
"Oh, uh..." Vinny muttered as he raised the camera to Gayle and starts filming, but she moves it down to P.I.X.A.L. and the Preeminent.
The Preeminent was slamming at the mech with one of its tentacles before it soon got up and moves aside to avoid another slamming before raising a fist and strikes the Preeminent, knocking it into the air. Once it had landed, P.I.X.A.L. moves the mech towards the incapacitated opponent. "Preeminent, please desist in this course of action." She said. "If you will follow me back to the monastery, I will guarantee your safe and speedy return to the realm of your origin. Do you understand?" The Preeminent raises a tentacle, seemingly agreeing. "Thank you for choosing the path of peace and-" Another tentacle instantly sends the mech flying back, blasting through several buildings before landing on the ground. As P.I.X.A.L. gets the mech to get back up, the Preeminent started to approach her before she turned to it. "Very well. Just remember, this was your choice." She then charged towards the Preeminent, who does the same before they immediately clash.
Somewhere in the city, a woman was in her car, listening to some music. "#Bring love, Bring love, Bring love to me#" Cole, Geoff and Gewuji's voices were heard on the radio. "#Bring love, Bring love, Bring love to me#"
The radio soon emitted some static before stopping, confusing the driver. "For those of you just tuning in, I repeat, Samurai X is battling a giant monster downtown near Borg Tower." The woman immediately became concerned.
The woman soon power slides before stopping and gets out to evacuate the area as P.I.X.A.L.'s mech skids close by before grabbing the car and throws it at the Preeminent, who seats it aside with a tentacle. P.I.X.A.L. then raised the mech's left arm to fire a missile at it, but the Preeminent raises some tentacles to protect its eye and the missile explode upon hitting them before jumping into the sky. P.I.X.A.L. then raised the mech high to chase after it and fires two more missiles at it. The Preeminent quickly turned and lets the eye swallow the missiles, surprising P.I.X.A.L. before they explode inside it and belches out the smoke caused by it. P.I.X.A.L. quickly turns the mech around as the Preeminent started to chase after her before she presses a button, opening a hatch, which brings out some kind of handle and comes out, which the right hand catches before the left hand raises the top of it, activating what appeared to be a giant sword. She soon turned around and charges at the Preeminent, sword at the ready before striking. Upon landing past it, the Preeminent roared in pain when one of its tentacles was severed from the attack and turns around to face P.I.X.A.L., who also turned around and charges toward it, spinning to avoid some tentacles while slicing them at the same time, making the Preeminent roar in pain before turning around to P.I.X.A.L., who raises the sword out to it. "Once again, please desist in your course of action." She said. A tentacle soon wraps around the mech's right arm before the Preeminent throws her aside, crashing into a building and losing the sword in the process. The sword stabs itself on a nearby car while P.I.X.A.L. lands close by before a tentacle wraps around the right arm. She tries to slap at it and pull back as alarms inside the mech go off, but the Preeminent manages to pull the arm off the mech.
"P.I.X.A.L., am I reading this right?" Dragon asked through the console's monitor as P.I.X.A.L. raises her visor. "You're haemorrhaging power." The Preeminent starts to slap the mech about. "You've got to get out of there!"
"At this moment, that is impossible."
"But your power reserves."
"I am the city's only line of defence. There is no backup plan." She closes her visor before preparing to charge past the Preeminent, only to end up struck by the mech's severed arm. She slowly gets back up as the Preeminent whips at the mech with its tentacles before striking it with the arm, sending it flying to a nearby substation, where it breaks the fence down upon landing. P.I.X.A.L. raises her cracked visor and then looked up to it before getting up and pulls out a wire, which starts to spark electricity as the Preeminent moves towards her.
"P.I.X.A.L., what are you doing?" Maggie asked through the mech's console's monitor.
"Attempting to replenish energy reserves."
"No." Dragon said through the mech's console's monitor, coming up next to Maggie. "Not a power overload. That much raw energy could burn you out."
P.I.X.A.L. then turns to the photo of her and Zane. "That is a risk I am willing to take."
"He doesn't mean burn out the mech." Maggie said through the console's monitor. "He meant burn out you. Your robotic body is plugged into the mech's systems. P.I.X.A.L., it's too dangerous."
"If this doesn't work, please tell Zane, I love him." She prepares to insert the wire into the exposed socket where the right arm was.
"P.I.X.A.L.!"
"P.I.X.A.L., no!" Dragon said through the console's monitor before she inserts it. The electricity started to recharge the mech's systems before P.I.X.A.L.'s eyes start to emit small sparks as the Preeminent comes towards her before she looked towards it. With a roar of determination, the Preeminent swings a tentacle towards her, but P.I.X.A.L. raises the mech's hand to catch it before pulling it back, dragging the Preeminent along and raises a leg to kick it. The Preeminent roared in pain as it was sent flying before landing in the middle of the street. One by one, civilians start coming out of their hiding spots, including Hayden, Navis, Scars and Sammy. The mech was lying down close by.
"P.I.X.A.L.? P.I.X.A.L., are you there?"
"P.I.X.A.L.?"
The civilians start to move slowly towards both incapacitated combatants before P.I.X.A.L. soon opened her eyes and gets up. "Did it work?" She asked.
"P.I.X.A.L. Yes, it worked! You are amazing."
"I did only what was required."
"P.I.X.A.L., you really are amazing." Maggie said through the console's monitor.
"Does that mean Master Wu is no longer angry with me?"
"Yes." Dragon said through the console's monitor. "That's what it means." P.I.X.A.L. soon smiled.
Several minutes later, P.I.X.A.L. was dragging the Preeminent away by a tentacle as the civilians cheer for her, and some were bouncing on another tentacle. "And so, the dramatic conflict ended moments ago when Samurai X defeated the creature, saving dozens of lives, my own included." Gayle said as she reports the whole scene. "Which is why I'd like to end this broadcast with a simple thank you, Samurai X."
