Spencer woke up before Trina. Feeling the need to shower more now than ever, he slipped out of bed and slipped into the bathroom to do just that. After fifteen minutes of showering and washing his hair, he felt human again. He wrapped a towel around his waist and stepped out of the bathroom, then remembered that he had left his watch on the sink. Rolling his eyes at himself, he went to open the door just to find it stuck.

"Great service this place has," He grumbled, trying to open the door, not even noticing the towel drop from his waist as he struggled to open the door.

"Spencer?"

It was the sound of Trina's voice and feeling her eyes glued on him that made him notice the lack of the towel.

"Trina," Spencer quickly grabbed the towel and wrapped it around his waist more securely this time, but not fast enough to keep his girlfriend from getting an eye full. "You're awake."

"Am I really?"

Spencer bit his bottom lip, trying not to laugh. The urge died anyway when he noticed the heat of desire in her eyes. He nervously swallowed and looked at the door. "Um...no. You are sleeping actually….um just lay back down, close your eyes...and you'll wake back up. You can tell me all about it when you do."

"I don't believe you," Trina frowned, the skepticism clear in her voice.

"Try it!" Spencer grinned, thankful that the door finally opened for him to run inside and close it firmly behind him. He closed his eyes and slid down onto the floor, feeling more embarrassed than anything. Who knew what Trina was thinking of him now.

After fifteen minutes, he felt more ready to face her again, so he returned to the room to get some fresh pair of clothes.

"It's about time that you're out of there," Trina slid out of bed and grabbed a change of clothes before entering the bathroom and closing the door behind her.

Spencer sighed. He should have thought of that. Well, she didn't say anything. Maybe she really did think that it was a dream.

…..

With the evening just starting, Spencer decided it'd be best to try the local fare for dinner. So he went to the front desk to inquire about the restaurants in the area. Trina was standing at the entrance, waiting patiently when Spencer approached.

"So where are we eating?" She asked. "I hope it's something local so we can have something that we can't get in Port Charles."

"Wow, aren't we picky?" Spencer teased.

"Spencer…"

"Alright, alright. How do you feel about seafood? Mind you, we're in Maine, so it's probably going to be the freshest seafood you've ever had in your life."

"Sounds delicious!"

"Ok, Cherrystones here we come. Want to uber it?"

"That's probably best. That way, we won't get lost."

It didn't take long for the Uber to arrive and for them to be seated. Trina looked around, taking in the ambiance.

"I love how it's set up here," Trina smiled, really wishing that she had brought her sketchbook.

"Me too," Spencer opened the menu. His mouth nearly watered at what was offered. "Baby, you may have a time picking out what you want. Everything looks so mouthwatering."

Trina just stared at Spencer, something sparkling in her eyes. "It sure does."

Spencer peeked at her from over the menu and noticed that she hadn't even opened her menu yet and why was she looking at him like that? "Aren't you going to open your menu?"

"Huh? Oh, yes," Trina shook her head as if to clear it and began looking at the menu. "The lobster roll looks good...a bit expensive though…everything is kind of expensive…"

"Trina," Spencer reached over and touched her hand. His eyes were warm and inviting and the warmth of his hand made her want for him grow even more. She swallowed and dropped her gaze from his, afraid of what he'll see there.

"Yes?"

"Get whatever you want, okay. Don't worry about it."

"I can't help it, alright? It's just...I'm not used to dining like this."

"I know. Believe it or not, neither am I. But this is our vacation. Vacations are the time to splurge, you know? I want to show you a good time, so let me."

Trina sighed and gave a coy smile. Oh, he could show her a good time for free...but she didn't dare tell him how...not yet."

"Oooh, they have a lobster and crab BLT...I wonder what that would taste like…"

"I have an idea. You order the lobster roll and I order the BLT and we can sample each other's meals?"

"That sounds good. And we can have blueberry pie for dessert."

"Or chocolate cake…"

"And to drink...that white sangria looks good," Spencer grinned, feeling satisfied.

Trina's fingers curled around Spencer's and she met his gaze again. "Thank you for this trip. I'm really enjoying being here with you. With no interruptions."

"I'm enjoying it, too. I'm sorry that it was so hard to do this in Port Charles. All of the interruptions...it was really getting to be too much."

"It was. The problems will still be there when we return though. Running away like this...it won't make them go away…"

Suddenly Trina's phone buzzed. She was tempted to ignore it, but something told her that it might be important. "Just when I say that I'm happy not to be interrupted…"

"It's ok. Go ahead and answer it," Spencer shrugged, having a feeling what the call was about.

"It's Joss...ugh, she knows I'm on a trip," Trina sighed and answered the phone. "Hey, we're just having dinner. What's up?"

"Oh my god, Trina. You won't believe it! Esme's in jail! They arrested her this afternoon!"

"What?! Oh my god!" Trina looked at Spencer, who was busy playing with his napkin. "What happened?"

"According to the news, they found evidence of what she did to us! Can you believe it? Some anonymous source had turned it in and the police deemed it usable so they arrested her and took the baby into protective custody. I think Sam and Dante are trying to get custody with Spencer being out of town...does he even know?"

Suspicion began to grow in Trina's mind. How could Spencer not know? He never mentioned anything about Esme or the evidence...if he knew that she had gotten arrested, wouldn't he tell her?

"This is such good news! Don't you agree? She's going to be out of our lives for good! There's no way that she can get out of this!"

"Oh, yes. It is good news. I just hope that the evidence keeps holding up and won't get anyone in trouble."

Joss gasped. "Trina, you don't think…"

"Let's not talk about it anymore, Joss. Just in case…"

"Right...well I just thought you should know. I hope that you're enjoying the sights…"

A certain sight flashed through her mind and she couldn't help but smile. "Oh, I most certainly am."

Trina hung up the phone and gave Spencer a pointed glare. She knew that this trip had been too good to be true! He had been up to something shady and thought getting her out of town would get him out of trouble. Think again. "Alright, Spencer. Tell me that you had nothing to do with Esme's recent arrest."

Spencer's stomach dropped. He should have known that Trina would figure it out, but he hoped to make her understand why he did what he did...in private. "I...I can't."

"Oh no, Spencer...what did you do?"

"I did what I did for you, Trina...for us!"

"What?"

"We would never have been free of her, don't you understand that? And when her memory returns...it's more than likely that you would be her main target...I couldn't let that happen again. I couldn't let her target you just because...we're together. So I did what I had to do to get her out of our lives for good and make sure that she can never target you again. Heck, she's probably faking anyway! I mean...all those interruptions...they didn't make any sense…"

Trina closed her eyes and sighed, understanding why he did what he did, but still not happy with it. "If they find out that evidence is not real, Spencer...they'll put you away. I won't ever see you again and she'll go free anyway…"

"It was anonymous, Trina. They won't know that I had anything to do with that evidence, I promise you. Please, don't worry about it. Let's just enjoy this trip. Enjoy being together without all the problems back home interrupting us."

"Spencer…"

"Trina…"

"Alright, alright. I'll let it go. For now. But I am not happy with what you did, you hear me. I hope that it doesn't come back to bite us. I really do."

"We'll just stay on the run then. Like Bonnie and Clyde," Spencer smirked.

"They were gunned down in the end, you know."

"They were the very definition of ride or die," Spencer shrugged.

"Is that what we are, Spencer? Ride or die?"

"Of course. At least on my end...you don't have to feel the same way, though. I mean...I just know

how I feel for you and...my feelings for you are the purest, truest thing I've ever felt in my life. I'd do anything for you."

Trina felt her annoyance melt away at his words. How could she ever stay angry with him when he said things like that, and over Esme Prince of all people?! A girl that had framed her for a crime that she did not do! At least, she knew that Esme did do the crime that Spencer's evidence proves her to have done!

"I'm ride or die for you too...in case you haven't noticed by now."

"Oh, I have. Way before now...before the Haunted Star...when you had every reason not to be."

"You know, forget Esme. This is our first dinner together on our trip. Let's order, eat, and plan what we're going to do tomorrow."

"Yes ma'am," Spencer grinned, signaling for the waitress so they could make their order.

…..

They returned to their hotel room stuffed with food and good cheer. Spencer was shedding his jacket and tossing his keys onto the nightstand, wondering if he should power up his laptop now that dinner had been eaten.

"We should really look at what we can do here. I'm thinking about a private tour of the park...what do you think? We can see some of the sights...hey we can search for Moose!"

"There's only one sight I want to see," Trina put down her purse and kicked off her shoes. "And I don't have to leave this room to see it."

"Really? What would that be?"

"The sight that I saw earlier...that I know wasn't a dream."

Her words made him pause and slowly turned to look at her. Spencer couldn't help but think that she was the cutest little thing, sitting on the bed, staring at him coyly with those big doe brown eyes of hers. She looked so innocent right there, but he knew that was where the innocence ended. She had more...wicked things on her mind at that moment.

Still, he was going to play dumb. Like he had no idea what she was talking about.

"And what sight was that? Hmmm?"

"A very beautiful man losing his towel...and a beautiful muscular body, just waiting for me to explore it…," She slowly stood up and sauntered over to him, her eyes taking all of him in. "You are wearing too many clothes right now, Spencer."

"Really? Well, that is a problem. How shall we solve it?"

Trina reached him and slender nimble fingers began to undo the buttons. "Like this…," She finished unbuttoning his shirt and pushed it off of his shoulders onto the floor.

"Trina…"

"Now the pants," Her hands gripped his belt and began to undo that as well.

"Are you sure about this? We don't have to do anything that you don't want to do…"

Trina didn't pause as she undid the belt, unzipped his pants, and pushed them down off his body, leaving him only clad in his boxers. "I don't know how far I want to go...but I do know one thing….I want to be close to you tonight…"

Spencer watched as Trina quickly shed her own clothes, to where she was only clad in her bra and panties. She wrapped her arms around him and smiled up into his eyes.

"I can't get over how good your bare skin always feels when I get a chance to touch it…," She breathlessly whispered.

Spencer lifted her up off the ground and had her wrap her legs around his waist. "Same to you, Ms. Robinson…what do you want to do now?"

"Make love to you. I've been wanting to do that since that moment on the Haunted Star," Trina confessed, claiming his lips in a passionate kiss.

Keeping their lips connected, Spencer carried her over to the bed and lowered her down onto her back. He pulled out of the kiss to look deeply into her eyes, looking for a hint of doubt.

"Are you sure? We can stop right now if you want…"

"I'm sure. I can't wait any longer...not when we're going to be sharing a bed from here on out. I want to be with you, Spencer. Starting tonight…"

Spencer's smile was bright and beautiful and full of the passion he felt for this beautiful woman in his arms. "I just want you to know, Trina. I am in love with you. There's not a doubt in my mind that you are and always will be the love of my life."

"I love you too, Spencer. You are the love of my life, after all, we've been through, it can't be anyone else."

Spencer didn't say anything else from that moment on, he just reclaimed her lips in a passionate kiss. From that moment, for the rest of the night, Spencer and Trina explored each other's bodies and came together for the first time in a loving, passionate, way that told each other just how cherished the other was. They reached the highest heights and came down in a euphoric state that sealed their love together.

Laying in each other's arms, after making love for the first time, Trina and Spencer knew that they had just taken the first step in a new stage of their relationship and nothing in this world would ever tear them apart. Not without a fight.
