New Year's Eve: December 31, 2009 11:40 PM

The main group of us eight friends were celebrating New Year's at Michelle and John's home in Tampa. We had about twenty minutes left until the Ball Drop.

"Hey." Ted looks at me and Michelle as we're both getting another drink. "No getting drunk until after midnight, you two."

"You always spoil the fun, DiBiase." Michelle comments.

"This drink won't make either of us drunk anyway." I roll my eyes. "Plus, you're in no position to tell me what to do, Ted."

"Randy, John...do you want Rissa and Chelle to be drunk before midnight?"

"Michelle," John looks at his wife. "If you're drunk before midnight, you aren't allowed to drink next year."

Michelle frowned. "You're no fun. What happened to you? We used to have great times drinking with Rissa and Randy."

"It's not 2004 anymore, babe."

Ted turns to Randy with a raised eyebrow. "Randy?"

Randy shrugs. "I'm not Marissa's keeper. I won't tell her what to do. Actually, babe, do you mind making me another drink too?"

"It'd be my pleasure." I turn to Ted after taking Randy's glass. "You're such a bitch."

"The nerve." Ted remarks. "You are not being a responsible twenty-seven year old, Rissa."

"Not my keeper, Ted." I replied as I brought Randy his drink. "Shit, I don't like being told what to do in general."

"No shit." Randy comments as I sit next to him.

I rest on Randy's arm. "If you just agree, you won't achieve anything in life."

"I agree with Marissa on that one." Cody adds.

I throw a cork I find at Ted.

"Did you just throw a damn cork at me?" Ted asks.

"She did." Eve comments. "And it was hella funny. I think I'm also helping myself to another drink honestly."

"Hell yeah, power to you, Eve. It's New Year's Eve. We can all have some fun, even if Ted is acting like a bossy misogynist trying to have Randy and John tell me and Chelle what to do." I remark.

"Ball drops in ten minutes." Maryse comments.

"I'm not acting like a misogynist." Ted gives me a dirty look.

"You kinda are." Eve smirks at Ted. "And I'm sorry, but you're in the room with four women who won't take misogyny."

"I'm not misogynistic." Ted turns to Maryse. "Babe, do you think I'm being a misogynist?"

"Well…" Maryse turns to Ted. "I don't think it's intentional."

"Don't think it's intentional? So you think I'm being one?"

"Trying to get John and Randy to get on Michelle and Marissa about drinking did kinda come off misogynistic. I know you didn't mean it to be, but it did kinda come off that way."

"Oh."

"I think you owe them an apology."

"Sorry, ladies."

"You're forgiven this time, but pull that shit again, and we'll have issues, Ted." I responded.

"Understood, I'm sorry."

Randy pulls me close to whisper in my ear. "I think after the ball drops, I'd like to have some time with you in the bedroom if that's alright with you."

I smile. "Fine with me, handsome."

"Do you have anything you want to get done in 2010, Rissa?" Cody asks me. "Outside of getting the Divas of Domination back together on TV because we know you're working on that."

"Uh, yeah, actually, I think after whenever I lose the Women's Championship, I want to finally go after the Divas Championship. Obviously, getting both is a possible career achievement. Hell, Michelle has done it. I think 2010 is the year for me to do it."

"I could take that Women's Championship off of you at Royal Rumble and set you on that path real quick." Michelle remarks.

"You might, but we both know I won't lose it without putting up a fight, Chelle."

"I wouldn't want it any other way, Rissa. I say we take care of Mickie no issue, and then whatever happens happens."

"Sounds like a plan to me. Guys, come here so we can take a picture together that I can post."

"You're gonna post it even though it'll break kayfabe with you and Michelle?" Ted asks.

Michelle shrugs. "Bring it on. We've broken kayfabe already. Half expecting us to already have some heat for it."

We take a picture together. I post it on my Twitter account.

We have a few minutes left until the Ball Drop.

"You know what New Year's resolution I'd like to have?" Randy asks me.

I turn to Randy. "What would that be?"

"I think this year we should aim to do more stuff together that's not work related. By we, I mean you and me. I want to do relationship stuff."

"Does this mean more dates?"

"I think it does. I would like to focus on some things outside of work this year when it comes to us. What do you think?"

"I think that sounds great. I'm on board with that resolution for sure."

"I'm glad. I say we start that as soon as possible."

"I agree."

"Good, we're on the same page, Rissa. Can't wait to spend 2010 with you."

"Same here, Randy."

At ten seconds left, we all start to count down to the Ball Drop.

"Ten!"

"Nine!"

"Eight!"

"Seven!"

"Six!"

"Five!"

"Four!"

"Three!"

"Two!"

"One!"

"Happy New Year!"

Randy pulls me into a New Year's kiss. I kiss him back.

"Happy New Year, sweetheart." Randy whispers as we kiss.

"Happy New Year, Randy." I whisper back.

Randy and I stop kissing and exchange a look. We both go to head to the bedroom we're staying in.

"Where are you two going?" John questions.

"We're going to get a start on our joint New Year's resolution." Randy answers as he pulls me to him.

"And what's that?"

I shrug. "Spending more time together that's not work related."

John narrowed his eyes at us.

Michelle laughs. "Have fun, you two. Just please keep it down."

"We'll do our best." Randy smiles before pulling me upstairs with him.

Randy takes me into the bedroom and closes the door. "Happy New Year, indeed."
