DEFINITE RAGNAROK AND POTENTIAL INFINITY WAR SPOILERS WITHIN. After years apart, Loki and Thor are finally battling side-by-side again, but it only takes a split second to change everything.

Yet another drabble of mine about The God of Mischief.

Left to his own devices (and an absolutely heroic pile of alcohol) Loki, now posing as the King of Asgard, decides to take a shot at fixing his presumably deceased identity's little PR problem in the most dramatic of ways. It goes okay. (written for a tumblr prompt, minor spoilers for Thor: Ragnarok)

"I miss the sun on my face. I miss the wind in my hair. I miss the sweet smell of the orchard on the spring, the scent of the flowering apple trees. I long to hear the singing birds on the canopy, the buzzing sound of the bees, collecting the nectar from the flowers. My heart aches to feel the warm grass on my bare feet, as I walk through the garden on the first days of summer."

Sometimes all Thor needs is someone to hold on to, and so Brunnhilde is there.

As the traitorous prince remains in prison, it is unlikely they will ever speak again after the ceremony. That is, until a series of assassination attempts occur and force them back together.
