Miku walked down the main hallway of Odaiba high school. Miku was a kind blue-eye girl with long black-hair and fair-skin. She walked out the backdoor and saw Davis standing standing under a tree. Davis was the same age she was and they had met at the school dance. Miku hurried over to him saying. "Let me walk with you."
Davis and Miku would often walk home together. As they walked they talked about school. Their home lives and up coming movies they want to see.
"There's a new romance movie coming out tomorrow," said Miku. "Do you wanna go see it with me?"
"I sorry but I can't," he remarked sadly. "I can't afford it right now. My moms cut off my allowances. She said she tired of me spending it on video games."
Being in high school Davis and Miku did have a lot of money. So going on a date to the movies was beyond them.
"There has to be something we can do together," she commented.
"We can go walking," joked Davis. "Walking is free."
Miku smiled and rolled her eyes. "We've had such a hard week at school I think it would nice to go on a date...We need to find to something romantic that is free."
Davis didn't know what to say. He couldn't think of anything romantic that didn't cost money.
They arrive at Miku's home and Davis wished her good evening. He turned and left and as he walked home he tried to think of something romantic that didn't cost money. The next day Davis and Miku sat together on a blanket inside a rose filled meadow inside the digital world. A picnic basket saw beside them. Davis would have had lunch with her inside his apartment but with his parents being home. He didn't consider it to be romantic.
"A picnic," said Miku. "What a great idea."
"It doesn't coast anything to eat," remarked Davis.
They started to eat when a stomping came from the distance.
"What was that," she asked looking around.
Boom. Boom. Boom. The ominous stomping came closer and closer.
Three tyrannomon smelling the food stomped through the treeline and looked down at them.
"Umm? Run," said Davis taking Miku by the hand.
The tyrannomon ran toward them and they hurried off to a digital gate returning to the real world. Davis and Miku landed face first on the floor inside his bedroom.
"OK. The digital world is out of the question," groaned Davis.
The next day Davis and Miku visited the outdoor theater where they sat with a group of on lookers. The outdoor theater was free today so Davis got them tickets. As the play began Miku took hold of Davis' hand and leaned in close to him.
"This is wonderful," said Miku happily.
Half way through the play a clap of thunder rolled across the sky and icy torrents of rain started pouring down on everyone's head. Davis and Miku jumped up and ran off. They hurried down the street and ducked into a coffee shop.
"I so sorry," he said. "I should have checked the weather reports before suggesting we go to the play."
"It's OK," she assured him. "Just don't let a tyrannomon eat me."
The shop owner spoke from behind the counter. "Hey. Are you two going to buy something or just stand there?"
"Do you take pits of sting and pocket lint," inquired Davis.
The owner glared at them and a moment later they hurried down the rain soaked street. A few minutes later Davis and Miku sat side by side inside her living room.
"Getting caught in the rain. That's kinda romantic," commented Davis.
Their eyes locked and they held hand. They leaned in to kiss each other and Miku's mother Hana stepped in trough the front door.
"Hi honey," she greeted her daughter. "Am I interrupting something?"
Miku sighed unhappily and rolled her eyes.
