Little Urusei Yatsura story I wrote focusing on Ataru and Lum. Hope you like it. :)

Lum's golden eyes sparkled as they gazed up towards the sky.

Sitting on the edge of a cliff that overlooked the sea, the blue-haired girl was observing the stars that were shining above her. There were so many of them to fill the night sky. The young alien was used to seeing them up close from the spaceship she used to reside in. Taking them in while far down below, she found herself appreciating their beautiful from Earth.

"Just look how pretty the sky is…" she said to the person sitting beside her. "…Darling."

"I know." Ateru nodded. "It's incredible to think that's where you came from, Lum. Never had I thought that somewhere in the voids of space was the right girl for me."

Lum placed a hand onto her heart. She was moved by the touching words her husband had said about her. He had come a long way from chasing after and flirting with every girl he'd come across. Since he'd finally realised she was his true love, he had become a lot more mature and down to Earth…

…which was ironic seeing as she was the one who had come from another planet.

"Look!" Lum exclaimed, pointing towards something else in the night sky which had caught her attention. "Isn't the moon beautiful?"

The alien girl's cheeks turned a faint shade of pink. She had indirectly made her feelings clear to Ataru. Passing a comment about how beautiful the moon was happened to be a way in Japan of saying 'I love you.'

Lum placed her free hand over the one pressed against her heart. She braced herself for the reply that was to come from her husband.

"Nowhere near as beautiful as you, Lum!"

A soft gasp escaped Lum at the sincere words spoken to her. The blush which filled her cheeks deepened as she turned to face the one who had whispered them to her. Ataru was smiling at her. He was making no effort to scamper off or push her away from him. He stayed right by her side, his face filled with a look which Lum had once thought she would never receive from him.

It was a look of love.

"Oh, Darling!"

Unable to control her intense happiness, Lum giggled heartily as she threw her arms tightly around Ataru - before accidentally electrocuting him

"Arrrrrggggghhhhh!"

Ataru screamed as the electricity contained inside Lum's body erupted through his. The peaceful atmosphere of the night was disturbed as he wailed in agony. The silver light of the moon was nothing compared to the golden glow which came from the shockwaves the alien girl was sending to her husband.

Even though Ataru's feelings and attitude towards Lum had changed a great deal, her habit of electrocuting her 'Darling' while embracing him was showing no sign of ending any time soon.
