Hello. So, this is the re-continued version of "Silently." While the update schedule of this will be like that of the original version, it might also take even longer than usual because I have school, track, and all the other Fanfics I've started on other apps, such as AO3 and a few on Wattpad.
So my apologies if it takes forever to post the second chapter.
Not a lot of the original will be changed. (Ok That's A Lie.) But there will be changes, such as a bit of a change in Chizomi's personality. And a bit of their appearance. As well as a change in their Quirk.
Not a major change, of course, but a change to make her not be Overpowered as fuck.
And finally, her backstory shall change as well.
Also, I am not fluent with sign language, so apologies if some things are off.
A final thing before we start, the title might not be permanent, I'm in between titles and want some opinions.
I'm trying to decide between "A Deafening Voice In The Silent Crowd" or "A Silent Voice In The Deafening Crowd" not much of a change, but, still I wanna know which one you guys prefer.
Now, enough of me, I shall start the story.
(And the beginning time will also change.)
CHAPTER ONE
ATAKIRI CHIZOMI: ORIGINS
"I-I am scared, Mama." She signed, her green eyes watering, and her hands twitched, making it hard to understand what she was saying. Her Mother looked down at her child and smiled softly, her pink eyes crinkling at the sides, although, it didn't seem to be genuine.
"Don't worry, Chizomi, I'm just going on a trip to see Papa. You won't even know I'm gone. But I promise, I'll come back." The mother said, her voice silky-sweet, although, there was a strange tone underlying it.
The young girl gulped and looked ahead at the small house in front of her. She tried to put on a smile, to stay positive for her Mama, her large, green eyes held a confident look in them.
"Don't worry, Mama. I won't cry, not again. In fact, I promise you that I will never cry ever again until I am super old, like Grandpa was." She signed, the large smile on her face grew as she became more confident. Her Mama chuckled and patted her olive-haired head.
"You promise?" Mama said, her lipstick shined in the light of the lampposts.
Chizomi nodded, a stern smile adorned her lips, "Yes Mama. I promise," she needed to do what Mama said. She always did what Mama said.
Except during the incident.
"Good, now, why don't you go say hi to Aunt Kri, I'll be right behind you."
She started walking to her Aunt's front door, she hadn't seen her in a while, so she felt kind of awkward. She was just about to knock on the door before she halted, hearing a car start up. She looked behind her and her green eyes widened.
Her Mama's car was racing away, leaving screeching tire tracks in its wake. Her breathing hitched, and she let out a strangled gasp, her Quirk activated and it caused the sidewalk and flower beds in front of her to all be sent flying. Cracks appeared in the concrete, and slabs of it went flying into the street, as well as the flowers and dirt.
Her breathing started to become loud, and erratic, breaking more of the yard in front of her, as well as making quite a racket.
She wasn't sure how long she was out there, attempting to keep her promise, and trying to wrap her head around why Mama left her behind, before the door behind her slammed open and her Auntie Kri had stopped her from causing more damage. She had used her Quirk, she knew that now, to make her calm down.
Maybe she had just forgot something at home?
Or maybe, she had just forgotten to talk to Auntie, and say goodbye, she was probably just really excited to see Papa in that place with the stones?
Yeah, that's it.
Mama didn't abandon her, Mama would never do that.
Mama will come back.
TWO YEARS LATER
She looked out the window, her eyes wide, today was the day. She just knew it.
Today was the day Mama was coming back.
Auntie Kri had talked to her, saying that Mama wasn't coming back. But she knew that was just silly, Mama had promised, and you never break a promise.
Chizomi had kept her promise to, she hadn't cried ever since that day. Even when she had scraped her knee while learning to skateboard with Auntie Kri.
She had gotten better at it though. She could even do a trick on it.
Chizomi couldn't wait to show it to Mama.
"Chizomi-chan! It's time for lunch! Why don't you step away from the window and after we can go get candy from Kevin?" Auntie asked, she stood just a few feet away, holding a tray with two plates of food on it.
Kevin was Auntie Kri's friend from the Candy shop, he was a nice guy, but he seemed to be very indifferent most of the time. Auntie Kri said he was from a place called "America." Chizomi hadn't learned about it in school yet, so she had asked her teacher, Midoriya-sensei, about it. She had smiled and said that they would be learning about America soon, which they did.
America was weird.
"Can I just stay here a few more minutes? I am sure that Mama will be here in just a few minutes, do you think you could make a plate of food for her?" She signed, a begging look on her face, she gave her Auntie the best puppy-dog eyes she could muster, but Auntie just sighed. "I could just give her my food! I am not that hungry anyway."
"Now, now, Chizomi, I know you think your Mother will be here soon, but I think it would be fine if we ate without her, I'm sure she wouldn't mind." Auntie said, her pink eyes crinkling as she smiled at her seven-year-old niece. She had grown so much since that day.
"...Ok. I guess it is ok." She signed, slipping down off of the window sill, her flouncy, green skirt flew up for a moment, before falling back down and reaching her dark green leggings.
It was odd, to her Auntie at least, that she never wore anything but green. If it wasn't green, she wouldn't wear it.
'If only it was the same with food...' Her Auntie cupped her own cheek with her hand, which had a strange tattoo on the wrist.
Chizomi had asked about it once. Her Auntie had froze and then suddenly asked her if she wanted to go get candy from Kevin.
The two sat at the table, before Chizomi started digging into her food. The two ate, with Chizomi taking turns of eating and signing in-between bites of food.
She was just telling her Auntie about a new friend she had made at school, a little purple-haired boy, by the name of-
*DING*
Auntie froze while Chizomi turned to the door, her head tilting slightly. She turned back to Auntie and furrowed her brows, why did Auntie look nervous.
Auntie Kri stood up, slowly making her way to the door.
*DING* *DING* *DING*
She peeked through the little circular thing, Chizomi forgot what it was called, and she immediately became tense. Chizomi stood and walked over to her Auntie, about to ask her what was wrong, before Auntie cut her off.
"Chizomi, why don't we play a game? Hm?"
She instantly smiled, she loved games!
"Ok, we're going to play hide-and-seek, there's a person outside that's the seeker, you are the hider." Auntie said, her voice soft and quiet, "You remember the hidden spot in the bathroom connected to my room, right?"
Chizomi nodded again.
"I need you to hide in the hidden room in the back of the bathroom closet, and when you get inside, I need you to lock the latch. Alright? And you need to be as quick as possible." Auntie was starting to scare her, but she nodded. She needed to do what Auntie said. "Ok, now, go."
She turned around and ran straight to the stairs, running to Auntie's room and into the bathroom. She opened the closet and then closed it behind her, and crawled to the back, feeling around for the little latch of the door. When she felt it she opened it, to the best of her abilities, it was mostly blocked by the stuff on the floor. Then she crawled inside, closing the hatch behind her and pushing the rusted lock into place. It was hard, she hoped she would be able to open it again when Auntie came back.
DOWNSTAIRS
'Not today... NOT TODAY!' The thoughts raced through her mind, she raked her hands through her brown hair, her eyes wide.
She thought she had specifically asked for three more weeks! It hadn't even been twelve days!
She attempted to calm herself down, regaining her composure. She reached for the doorknob and twisted it.
It opened to show two people standing there, a man and a woman.
"Hello, sir, mam. What can I do for you?" Her voice was shaky, and she attempted to not show how scared she was.
What happened next made her freeze.
The woman pointed a grey gun to her head. Her eyes widened and her breathing started to become quicker.
"Where's, the money, Atakiri." The man demanded, he had a mask on, just like the girl, just like they all did, everytime.
"I-I thought I told you, I will have it in just a few more weeks, please. Just- just give me more time-" She said, her voice breaking and tears starting to well in her eyes.
"We don't got any time, Atakiri. You know that." The woman said, her voice almost as gruff as the man's.
"P-please... I-i, I promise! I promise I'll get the money to you! Just please give me more ti-"
A loud bang rang out through the house, making the small girl in the crawl-space jump. She didn't like that sound, it reminded her of the gun shots she heard on Auntie's crimes shows.
She waited for a bit longer, hoping Auntie would come back, she never liked dark spaces. It reminded her of when Mama had dropped her off at Auntie's.
After a few more minutes she smelled something, something weird. She sniffed a bit more, before coughing.
Was that smoke?
She furrowed her brows, a few more seconds passed before she started to feel a little warm.
Now it was just getting scary.
She looked for the lock and pulled on it, not caring if she lost the game anymore. She tugged at the lock, it moved, but only slightly. She bit her lip and pulled harder.
But it didn't move.
'Auntie... Where are you? Please! I don't like this anymore!'
Thoughts raced through her mind, she couldn't cry, she promised. She started banging her fists on the door, hoping someone would hear. She hit the wood as hard as she could, her eyes wide and breathing becoming frantic.
She wanted to yell for help, but what if she caused more damage? She couldn't do that to Auntie's house.
She heard something, footsteps, loud thundering footsteps, coming from outside. She started hitting the door even harder, her hands were starting to hurt, and her mind was getting foggy, and it was getting really, really hot.
She couldn't take it anymore.
"HELP!"
A loud crash came from near the bedroom he had just looked in. He looked behind him and noticed a large dent in the wall. He ran back into the bedroom, covering his mouth and coughing. He then noticed the bathroom door, he ran into it and was shocked by what he saw.
The closet doors had been thrown off their hinges, the mirror and sink were crushed into the wall and had caused the large dent. He looked back into the closet and saw a small form crawling out of it, it was a small child. She couldn't have been more than seven, her green hair was tousled and coated with dust. She looked up at him, blood running from her mouth as she started to cough. He quickly caught the child as she started to fall to the ground, he scooped her up and quickly ran out of the rooms.
He looked down at the girl to assess her injuries, she had a long cut across her eye and mouth, blood gushing from it.
He ran as fast as he could to get out of the house, the main entrance was blocked, so he had to go through the back.
"Damn..." He said, under his breath, there was a large piece of debris blocking the back entrance, he looked around, and saw a window.
He rammed his elbow into the glass, barely making a dent. He winced, this was thick.
"Is this shit bulletproof?" He yelled, his eyes twitching, both from the smoke and the annoying windows.
The child twisted her head to the window, and attempted to sit up in the man's arms. She coughed, before taking in a deep breath and speaking.
"HELP US!" Sound waves came crashing from her mouth, and caused the window to shatter, and the walls around it move, as well as breaking the large vase that was to the side. Auntie had liked that vase.
The man looked at the child with large eyes, but immediately jumped out the window, accidentally landing on his behind. Just as this was happening, the room that they had left collapsed, from the weakening caused by the fire, or by Chizomi, neither of them knew.
The man looked down at the child in his arms, who had started coughing loudly and violently, blood spurted out of her mouth each time. And each time, more sound waves came out of her mouth, causing more damage to the yard and crumbling house.
"Shit..." He looked around, seeing the medics and waving them down. "Hey! We Need Help Over Here! I've Got A Kid With An Out Of Control Quirk! She's Hurt!"
As soon as he said that, a lot of the bystanders gasped as they saw which child he was talking about. They all knew that child, she had brought them all sweet trinkets and treats she and her Aunt had made multiple times. They all knew her, and seeing her like this, was something all of them wished they had never seen.
It had taken a while to calm her down and take care of her injuries, they had to wait to treat her throat when they reached the hospital. It took hours to put out the fire, and by the time it was all out, the house was nothing but charred pillars and ash.
The man from before had come to check up on the child, he was surprised to see another man there. He had short black hair, and dark brown eyes, he was also in a pink and white uniform, with a little white hat, that had a pink stripe.
"And who might you be?" He asked, his voice breaking the silence.
The child made multiple motions with her hands, he furrowed his brows, not understanding. The young man in the uniform sighed.
"She says I'm a close friend of her Auntie's, which I am. Her name is Atakiri Chizomi, and I'm Kevin." The man sighed, his voice was higher-pitched than the other man had expected. "Who might you be?"
"The name's Oslomo Hiroto. I was the one that got her out of the house." He answered, he eyed the other man up and down, which didn't go unnoticed.
"Ah, well, I thank you for that, god only knows what would have happened had you not been there..." Kevin said, standing up to shake the man's hand. Hiroto frowned before sighing and finally taking Kevin's outstretched limb.
Chizomi made more hand signs and Kevin appeared to be quite flustered at what she said, but Hiroto just raised an eyebrow.
"What did she say?" He asked, his blue eyes were confused, not understanding what was going on.
"Uh- well- y-you see-" Kevin was cut off by a doctor walking into the room.
She raised an eyebrow at the three of them, before sighing and looking back down at her clipboard.
"Are either of you two related to this girl?" She asked, her brown eyes focused on the two men.
"Uh, no. I was a friend of her Aunt's. And apparently he was the one who got her out of the fire." Kevin jutted his thumb at the taller man next to him.
"Well, are there any relatives we can call?" She asked, her gaze flicked to the small girl, who just smiled at her. She was surprised, the girl seemed much better than before.
"Well, not really. Her-" Kevin was cut off by the small girl jumping up and off the bed, grabbing hold of the stand which held her IV.
"Mama. Mama. We can call Mama." Her hands were quick and she fumbled over the signs, making everyone pause, before Kevin finally sighed.
"Chizomi, we can't call your Mother. Remember? She left." He kneeled down and rested his hand on her shoulder, a frown on his face, and his voice was gentle.
"If there is a family member we can call, we must know about them." The nurse said, her voice becoming stern. Kevin sighed and gestured for her to follow him, and the two of them, followed by Hiroto, went out in the hallway, closing the door behind them.
Chizomi tilted her head, not understanding why her friends had left her alone.
Oh well.
She felt tired anyways, maybe she should lie down in the weird, smelly bed?
Yeah, that sounds nice.
She let go of the IV rack and climbed back inside the bed, pulling the blankets to her chin and turning on her side. She closed her eyes and quickly fell asleep.
I wonder where Auntie is?

"Kevin. Where's Hiroto?" The teen signed, their large green eyes furrowed at their friend. He sighed and sat up from his spot on the couch.
"Be patient, Chizomi, he said he would be here. He'll be here," Kevin said, smiling slightly. The young girl rolled her eyes and stuck out her tongue at her caretaker.
He smiled, a soft one, one that she knew well. She plopped herself down on the couch next to him, hugging him from the side. He chuckled, wrapping his arm around her and placing his head on her shoulder, she then took suit and placed her head on his.
"You're a good kid, Chizomi," He said, his voice quiet, she maneuvered her arms and started signing.
"More like the best kid," A smug smile was on her lips, Kevin chuckled slightly, his eyes closed and his breathing became soft and even.
Chizomi rolled her eyes, moving around carefully to set him on the couch. She placed a pillow underneath his head, and pulled the blanket up to his chin. He snored softly, and a click could be heard.
Chizomi smiled at her phone deviously, she was definitely saving that picture for later on.
'Blackmail, motherfucker.'
She closed the app and stuffed her phone in her pocket, carefully walking into the kitchen. She opened the fridge and pulled out an apple, rinsing it in the sink and pulling out a knife and plate.
She fucking hated having braces.
As she was cutting up the apple, she heard the sound of the front door, she turned her head, narrowly missing her finger. Gently placing the knife down, she ran to the front door. Seeing her other caretaker, taking off his shoes and coat, and running up to him.
She tackled him in a hug, smiling, he let out an 'Oof' sound before returning the gesture of affection.
"Glad to see you too, Chizomi..." He said, ruffling her olive-colored hair. She nodded and grabbed his hand, pulling him into the living room, "What? Is there something you need to show me?"
She nodded, setting him down on the couch and gently waking up Kevin. He stirred, before sitting up and looking at his partner.
"Ya' sleep well, Kev?"
"Eh, could have been better..." He said, stretching before looking at Chizomi. She was staring at the both of them with the letter held tightly in her hands, Kevin nodded and turned to Hiroto, gesturing at the letter, "Something very special came in the mail today, and Chizomi has been dying to open it and show us."
Hiroto furrowed his brows, looking at the letter, before a silent alarm went off in his head.
"No Way!"
"Yes Way!" Chizomi had to suppress the giggles that were worming their way through her vocal cords.
"Open It! Open It! We Need To See!" Hiroto said, a large smile replacing his tired face from just a moment ago.
Chizomi nodded and sat down on the side of the table, smiling widely, and started to gently open the letter. When she reached in, she felt two things, which made her puzzled. She pulled them out, one was a metal disk, small and thin, and the other was the actual letter. She placed the letter down softly, opting to look closer at the disk.
"What is that, Chizomi?" Hiroto asked, leaning forward to get a better look. Chizomi shrugged her shoulders in response.
Suddenly, a whirring started up, and Chizomi dropped the disk on the table, and a blue light came from it. Everyone froze, before the blue light formed into a mini version of the number one hero:
"All Might?"
"YES IT IS I! I AM HERE, AS A HOLOGRAM!" He yelled, startling everyone, "I AM HERE TO INFORM ONE, ATAKIRI CHIZOMI, OF HER ACCEPTANCE INTO UA HIGH-SCHOOL!"
"SHE GOT IN!?" Both Hiroto and Kevin yelled, while Chizomi had the largest grin anyone could ever have, upon her face.
"YES! ATAKIRI CHIZOMI HAS BEEN ACCEPTED INTO UA HIGH!"
"FUCK YEAH!"
"Hiro!"
"Sorry!"
Chizomi covered her mouth, swallowing down the giggling fit that threatened to burst her lungs. After a few moments of calming herself, she turned to her parental figures and enveloped them both in a bear hug.
To say that the trio was happy was the understatement of the century.
NOTES

I've given you all far too many excuses, and I apologize for that. From now on I will attempt to be more realistic with you guys, so do not expect frequent updates. In fact, don't expect updates because it takes me so long to write these at all.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this, and thank you for sticking around this long.
