"Bye, Woody! Buzz! Rex, Hamm, these small green men, Sarge! See you again!" Sora exclaimed as he waved them goodbye. He had just locked the keyhole for this world. Hopefully the Heartless shouldn't bother them for a while. Plus, it was kinda fun being a toy.

"Sora!" Donald called by the exit of the world.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm coming!" Sora called.

Sora hopped into the Gummi Ship and waved off his new friends while the ship hovered up. Sora took the wheel and drove it out of the world. "What's the next one?" Goofy asked.

"No idea. We'll find out when we get closer," Sora replied.

Sora drove the ship for a little before Donald stopped him. "Sora, it's getting late. We should rest."

"Donald is right," Goofy said.

"Alright, fine," Sora said. He pulled the ship onto an asteroid and parked it. He turned the lights off.

Sora woke from Goofy waking him up. "Hey, Sora? You okay?" Goofy checked, worry in his voice.

"Hm? Why?" Sora asked, one eye open.

"The Gummi Ship won't fly," Goofy explained. "Donald is his usual, grumpy self. I just got up."

"Have we had breakfast yet?" Sora asked, closing his eye again.

"Donald is making it. At least trying to."

"He can get it."

"You getting up?" Goofy checked.

"Yeah, give me a minute." Goofy left Sora while he went to help Donald make breakfast.

Sora was awoken again, but by Donald this time. "Hey, sleepyhead! Get up!"

"Breakfast isn't ready yet, Donald!" Goofy called. "He can sleep until it's done! Plus, we let you sleep last time."

Donald grumbled and rejoined Goofy. A few minutes later, Sora joined them. His hair is a mess and he had eye bags. "You okay, Sora?" Goofy asked, concern in his voice.

"I'm so..." Sora yawned, "...tired." He put his head on the table. Goofy and Donald shared a glance with each other. "Did you get any sleep last night?" Donald asked.

"Yeah, I got some," Sora said, his voice a little muffled from the table. "It was kinda cold last night."

Donald and Goofy shared worried glances with each other. "You're not sick, are you?" Donald asked.

"Why?" Sora checked, his head still on the table.

"Well, for one thing, your hair has never been this bad in the morning. Two, you look-" Goofy elbowed Donald. "...like you...didn't sleep well," Donald recovered.

"It was a little hard to sleep," Sora admitted. "But I already have some nights like that."

"Yeah but you don't look like a mess when you get up!" Donald countered.

While Donald argued with Sora, Goofy walked towards one of the cupboards. He pulled out a thermometer and then returned with the two of them. "Here," Goofy said, handing it to Sora. Sora looked up from the table. "Just take it," Goofy said.

Sora accepted the thermometer and put it in his mouth. Donald aggressively cooked breakfast after Goofy told him to stop yelling at Sora. Goofy waited for the thermometer to beep. Once it did, Sora handed it back to him, then leaned his chin on his hand.

Goofy walked over to Donald and showed him the thermometer. "One hundred?" Donald cried.

"What?" Sora whined. "I can't be sick! I have to stop-" Sora was cut short by a coughing fit.

"Sorry, Sora. You have to stay in bed," Goofy said.

"I have to stop Xenmas, and Xigbar, and Xehanort, and-" another coughing fit cut him short.

"You know the rules," Donald said, pointing a spatula at him.

"The Heartless can hold off for a day," Goofy assured him.

"Darkness never stops!" Sora cried.

"Sorry, Sora," Goofy said. "If you don't go to bed, I'll just carry you there."

"But...the Heartless!" Sora tried.

"Now, Sora!" Donald said sternly.

Sora whined as he walked back into bed. He knew there was no point in fighting them. Maybe he could sneak out when they weren't looking to stop the Heartless.

"And no sneaking out either," Goofy said. How does he know what he was thinking? Is Goofy telepathic?

Donald came in a little while later with Sora's breakfast. "Here, Sora." He put his plate on the ground next to his blanket. "Thanks, Donald," Sora said.

"Eat your breakfast. It'll help you get better," Donald said.

"Yeah." Sora grabbed his plate after sitting up, and put it in his lap. He was quiet for a second. "I know you don't want to be sick, Sora," Donald said. "But you can't prevent it. All you can do is make it better."

"Yeah, I know but," Sora sniffled, "Xehanort is still out there. He's probably taken over a world at this point."

"I'm sure he hasn't and won't," Donald said reassuringly. "There is no darkness without light."

"Yeah, but-"

"Sora."

Sora inhaled. "Fine." He started eating his breakfast. Donald waited until he had a few forkfuls and then left.

He finished his breakfast. He looked around. "I don't see Donald or Goofy nearby. Maybe I can slip this into the sink..." Sora muttered.

Sora uncovered and quietly stood up. "Where is everyone?" he pondered. He brushed off the question and grabbed his plate. He tip toed into the mini kitchen and placed his plate in the sink. He turned around to be greeted by Goofy. "What are you doin' up?" he asked.

Sora screamed. "I'm-uh-I'm just...just...getting a snack?" Sora tried.

"Want to try again?" Goofy said.

Sora sighed and slumped his shoulders. "I was putting my plate away."

"And where should you be?"

"In bed." Sora sighed. Goofy watched him as he went back to bed. He then came to Sora a few seconds later with a glass of water. "Lots of water helps fight the germs," Goofy said.

"I don't want to be sick," Sora complained.

"No one likes being sick," Goofy said. "But it's just a part of livin'."

"Yeah, but it's annoying."

"Yes it is."

"Where's Donald?" Sora asked.

"He's fighting off Heartless. We found a ship full of 'em getting closer."

"I should be out there helping!" Sora said, rising from his bed. He coughed again.

"You should be lyin' in bed, Sora," Goofy said, pushing Sora back down, gently.

"But, Donald-"

"His magic is strong. He can handle himself," Goofy replied.

"But what if Xenmas comes back?" Sora asked. "Who will stop him?"

"I can go help Donald if he needs it. All you need to worry about is gettin' rest and feeling better."

"But-"

"No but's, Sora," Goofy said sternly. "You can't stop anyone while you're sick. You'll just get worse."

Sora flopped back down onto his pillow. "I hate being sick," he muttered, crossing his arms. "We all do, Sora." Goofy pulled the blanket up. "If ya need anything, just call."

"Fine," Sora grumbled.

A few more minutes, Sora got up to go to the restroom. Once he left, he saw Donald and Goofy fighting Heartless outside. "I should help them," Sora whispered to himself. Sora called his Keyblade. His arms dropped. "Whew, a little heavier than I remember," he said to himself. He forced his arms back up. He struggled to keep them up but managed to do it.

Sora walked outside, struggling with his Keyblade, an joined Goofy and Donald, but kept to a corner to himself. If Donald and Goofy see him, he'll be stuck inside again until he gets better. There are so many things he has to do. He has no time to wait for his illness to go away. He appreciates their efforts to help him, but the Heartless don't rest. There is no time for him to rest either. The Keyblade is the only weapon that can stop the Heartless. Goofy and Donald know that.

Sora took out one Heartless with a weak blow. The Keyblade feels way heavier than he remembers. It takes more out of him to swing it even once. By the time Sora had defeated three Heartless, that when Donald noticed him. "Hey! Sora!"

He ran over to Sora and pulled the Keyblade out of his hands. It vanished into small blue orbs. "What are you doing?"

"Trying to help," Sora said, punctuating the sentence with a few coughs.

"You're not rested yet! You need to get back to bed!"

"But you guys need help!" Sora complained.

"We can take care of this, Sora. You need to be rested and better if you want to do anything!" Donald replied.

"But-"

"No but's, young man!" Goofy called from nearby. A Heartless bounced off of his shield. "Back to bed, mister!"

"But-"

"Come on, Sora," Donald said, pulling Sora's pant leg.

"But I can fight them! Look!" Sora pulled out his Keyblade again, his arms dropping like before. "I just have to...lift it up first." Sora lifted his Keyblade and defeated two more Heartless. The Heartless fled.

"See? I can handle it!" Sora exclaimed. "Let me help!"

"You need to go to bed, Sora," Goofy said.

"But I'm feeling better!" Sora coughed again. "Your cough says so otherwise," Donald said.

"Back to bed, young man," Goofy said, pushing him back inside the Gummi Ship.

"But..."

"You heard, Goofy!" Donald said.

Donald followed Goofy and Sora back into the Gummi Ship. Sora sat on his bed while Goofy pulled the blanket up again. Donald handed Sora the thermometer. Once it beeped, he checked his temperature. "One hundred and one. Sora, you need to rest."

"But...I feel great..."

"Lie down," Donald said. Goofy picked up the empty glass and walked out to fill it up. "I'm...not tired..." Sora tried.

"Yes you are," Donald said. He walked over to one of the shelves on the wall and pulled off a stuffed animal of a fish that Sora got when he visited Ariel for the second time. Sora likes collecting souveniers from each of the worlds he visits.

Donald walked back over to Sora and handed him the fish. "If you close your eyes, you'll go to sleep." Goofy came back into the room, placed the cup of water on the ground nearby, close enough for him to grab it but not to knock it over, and left the room, after smiling at Donald.

"Now close our eyes. Don't worry about anything. You'll go to sleep," Donald said, covering him and the fish up as Sora uncovered.

"But...the...Heartless..."

"Shh," Donald shushed. "Go to sleep. Goofy and I can handle whatever comes our way. Your always protecting us so let us make it up to you."

"Donald..."

"It's okay, Sora. You can rest." Donald walked out of the sleeping quarters.

Maybe Donald was right. Maybe he should get some sleep. But there are so many Heartless to worry about. They didn't flee until Sora dealt with some of them. Although, he couldn't really hold his Keyblade. It's usually pretty light. It weighs nothing.

Maybe Donald was right. Maybe he shouldn't worry about the Heartless. He's seen Goofy and Donald in action. Sora does usually take out the majority of them. However, if he didn't have Donald and Goofy, he would be lonely, and probably dead. A while ago actually. When he first became a Keyblade Master.

In Traverse Town, he had no idea what he was doing. If it wasn't for Pluto, Sora would never have found Donald and Goofy. He would've been alone with no idea what he was doing. He would've had no one to talk to and he probably would've died. Plus, Donald is letting him drive the Gummi Ship now. He can tell Donald is still upset by it but Goofy insisted.

Now that he thinks about it, all of his adventures have been with Goofy and Donald. Goofy got smashed by a huge rock once while fighting and army of Heartless but that didn't stop him. Goofy got right back up and rejoined them. They're stronger than they look.

Maybe he should put his trust in them. Besides, if he keeps moving around, he's never going to get better. Maybe he should sleep. Donald and Goofy can protect him. That's what they've always done.

Sora woke later. Goofy is making dinner while Donald is checking the Gummi Ship's fuel. "Hey there, Sora!" Goofy greeted. "Feelin' better?"

"Actually, I am."

"Let's check your temperature!" Donald said, waddling over with the thermometer. Sora sighed and accepted it. The thermometer beeped so Sora pulled it out. "Ninety eight," Sora said, smiling at the device.

"Hey, that's great!" Goofy cheered.

"We have have dinner and head out!" Donald cheered.

"Right! Let's eat!"
