Journey And Discovery By Adults
One day, in a small town in Equestria, there lived two unicorns. Their names are Night Light and Twilight Velvet and they are the parents of Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor. The two unicorns greeted each other in their kitchen, planning on what business they had to do that day.
"Good morning, Twilight," the male unicorn said. "Morning, Night," the female unicorn said, "Nice day to start out." "Yes," Twilight Velvet replied with a smile. Today, both unicorns were going to meet up with several ponies in Canterlot. "Well," Night Light said, "Today will be something."
"I agree," his wife agreed, "Ready?" "Yes," Night Light said, "Let's get going!" And the two set out to meet up with these ponies. "Ready?" Twilight Velvet said. So, the unicorns, Twilight Velvet and Nigh Light got out of their house and started out their day together.
"Yes, to Canterlot," Night Light said. Today will be something for the two.
Out on the rock farm, the Pie family are working on their rock farm. "All right," said Igneous Rock. They have four sisters including Pinkie Pie and Maud Pie. The sisters who chose to work on the farm at the time, Marble and Limestone Pie worked really hard harvesting some of the rocks.
"This load of sedimentary rocks must go out to Canterlot," Cloudy Quartz said. The two sisters understood their mothers order and continued working. Later, Igneous Rock and Cloudy Quartz wet out with a cart load of sedimentary rocks to take to Canterlot, leaving Limestone Pie in charge of the farm.
"Let's get moving!" Igneous Rock said, hauling the heavy cart. His wife, Cloudy Quarts helped out as well. They have no idea that they'll be running into several ponies in Canterlot.
In Ponyville, at Sugarcube Corner, Mr. and Ms. Cake had just given a set of pies to two Pegasus ponies, Mr. Shy and Mrs. Shy. "Thank you," Mrs. Shy said. "No problem," Mrs Cakes replied, "Happy to serve you."
Soon enough, Mr and Mrs Shy returned home. They are Fluttershy's and Zephyr Breeze's parents. However, on their way home, they've stopped in Canterlot.
Also, some time later, two other ponies, Cookie Crumbles and Hondo Flanks, both unicorn ponies, had just picked up an order of doughnuts from Sugarcube Corner. They are Rarity and Sweetie Belle's parents. "We are busy today," Carrot Cake said.
So, both Cookie Crumbles and Hondo Flanks set off for Canterlot, too, unaware of several ponies they'll be running into.
Also in Canterlot, there are Windy Whistle and Bow Hothoof. They've just cheered their daughter, Rainbow Dash at a small Wonderbolt tournament, both Pegasus ponies. This time, Rainbow Dash had accepted their support and cheering. The other members of the Wonderbolts accepted their presence too.
Later, after that, Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistle were walking around Canterlot, still happy for their daughter to win the tournament. Rainbow Dash didn't mind winning but that's another story for another day.
As the two excited Pegasus adults were walking around, at that time, both Night Light and Twilight Velvet had just finished their meeting with the other ponies and now were walking back to their home.
"Nice ponies, m'dear," Night Light said to his wife. "Yes," Twilight Velvet agreed. However, as Night Light and Twilight Velvet were walking towards Windy Whistle and Bow Hothoof, Igneous Rock and Cloudy Quartz had just finished delivering their rocks to a customer in Canterlot and were on their way home as well.
Also, Mr and Mrs. Shy along with Cookie Crumbles and Hondo Flanks were unknowingly walking towards each other. All of the adult ponies were unknowingly walking into each other. That is exactly what had happened.
The ten adult mares and stallions ended up walking into each other in the Center of Canterlot. They were all surprised. "Are you?" Twilight Velvet said. "You?" Hondo Flanks said. "You too?" Mr. Shy said.
After exchanging a lot of 'are you?'s, every pony finally understood. "Well," Windy Whistle said at last, "This is one unique meeting." "We can see that," Igneous Rock said, "Mr and Mrs Happy!"
"Uh, actually," Bow Hothoof said, trying to correct the irate earth ponies. Then, they've all realized something. "Twilight Sparkle, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy?" they all said at the same time.
Not only they are the parents of the ponies who've saved Equestria multiple times, they also realized something else. "We're all here for a reason," Cookie Crumbles said. "Wait," Hondo Flanks said, "There's something else."
"Like we were all guided here for a reason," Mrs. Shy said. "But what?" Cloudy Quartz asked. At once, the ten adult ponies left Canterlot together. "Now what?" Hondo Flanks asked. "We don't know," Night Light answered.
"Well," Igneous Rock said, starting to get irate again, "First we ended up running into each other and now, we don't even know why the hell we're out here in the middle of nowhere!" "Now calm down," Cloudy Quartz said, somehow trying keep her husband calmed down. "Is your husband that hotheaded?" Mrs. Shy asked Cloudy Quartz.
"A lot of the times," Cloudy Quartz answered. "But still, Windy Whistle said, "We don't have a clue why we're here. We have a purpose of being in Canterlot to see our daughter compete and win."
"But now," Bow Hothoof said, "We don't know why we're brought out here." "It felt like some ponies were guiding us here," Cookie Crumbles said. "But for what?" Twilight Velvet said.
The ten ponies were trying to figure out the mystery when suddenly upon reaching a empty space outside of Canterlot, the ground underneath them collapsed.
The ten fell into a dark pit and as a result of the opening strangely closing up above them darkness surrounded the ten ponies.
"Now what?!" Igneous Rock asked indignantly. "Hey! Someone is touching me!" Cloudy Quartz shouted. "Ooops," Bow Hothoof said, "Sorry." "We need an idea," Windy Whistle said. "Let me do something about this!" Night Light said and he lit up the area with his horn.
"Now we can see," Igneous Rock said. "Wow," Mr. Shy said, "That's bright light." "Well, I'm doing a better job than this Snails colt," Night Light said. "Okay," Twilight Velvet said, "Let's not say negative things about that dork."
"Oh well," Night Light said. They saw many passages in the dark tunnels. "Now what?" Mrs. Shy said. Then the ten ponies felt a mysterious presence again. "Something?" Cookie Crumbles said. "Something is guiding us," Cloudy Quartz said, "Maybe a way out of here." "I'd go with that," Igneous Rock said. "So will I," Windy Whistle added in.
"Let me be the leader," Night Light said, still lighting up the dark tunnels. The adult ponies followed Night Light, who was being guided by something headed down one of the dark tunnels, illuminated by his glowing horn.
But instead of arriving out in fresh air, the ten ponies arrived at an ancient place. "This isn't the outside!" Igneous Rock said. "What?" Night Light said.
Suddenly, torches were lit like magic and the whole area became illuminated. "What is this place?" Mr. Shy asked. "And I don't need this anymore," Night Light said, turning off his horn. "Why were we brought here?" Cloudy Quartz asked.
"Maybe we can find a way out of here?" Twilight Velvet suggested. "Good idea," Igneous Rock said and the ten ponies searched the area. Just then, Twilight Velvet and Igneous rock came across a hidden chest.
"What's this?" Igneous Rock asked. "This must have something to do with that Starswirl fellow that our daughter is obsessed about," Night Light explained. "Who?" Mr. Shy asked. "Starswirl," Cookie Crumbles answered, "An ancient wizard from the times before Celestia and Luna."
"Oh," Windy Whistles replied. "I knew that," Bow Hothoof said. They opened the chest and an ancient book fell out. "What's this?" Twilight Velvet asked. "It looked like it was written by this Starswirl fellow," Night Light concluded, "It has his signature on it."
The ten ponies were about to take a look inside, but they chose not to. "This is wonderful," Bow Hothoof said. "We must let them know about this," Cloudy Quartz said. "Right," Windy Whistle said, "But still, how do we get out of here?" That is when part of the wall collapsed.
"Looks like that's our answer," Hondo Flanks said. "Right," Cookie Crumbles agreed. The ponies took the book with them and they'd left the ancient room. Upon doing so, the hole in the wall magically rebuilt itself. "That is magic," Twilight Velvet said.
"It was like some ponies wanted us to have this book by this Starswirl fellow," Night Light said. The ten adults decided to return to Canterlot.
What the ten adult ponies didn't know is that they were led by the spirits of Pear Butter and Bright McIntosh, the deceased parents of Applejack, Apple Bloom and Big Mac. It is true that they had a reason for them to find Starswirl's mysterious book.
At that time, Twilight Sparkle, Spike and Rainbow Dash were together in Canterlot. "Well," Rainbow Dash said, "I didn't mind winning, but it felt great to participate!" "Right," Spike agreed.
Then Twilight Sparkle noticed ten adult ponies walking towards them.
"Mom and dad?" Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash said together. "Along with Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Fluttershy's parents," Spike said. "Twilight," Night Light said, "We had an adventure and we've found something that you might light."
He then handed his daughter Starswirl's ancient book. "This is," Twilight Sparkle said, "Starswirl's other book." "Never heard of it," Spike said. "You wouldn't believe us if we'd told you," Hondo Flanks said. "Well," Twilight Sparkle said, "I'll believe it. Thanks, mom and dad!"
"You're welcome," both Twilight Velvet and Night Light said. Every pony is happy that day.
Nearby, watching the ten ponies, is an elderly earth pony, named Grand Pear, who was also visiting Canterlot as well. He then looked back at the lonely place and thought about something.
"Thank you, my daughter," he said, "For bringing every pony together. I wish I could have done the same thing too. Same goes for your husband."
"So what's next?" Rainbow Dash asked. The adults were about to answer that question. "Oh, hold on," Windy Whistle said suddenly, getting out a certain book. "What?" the other ponies replied.
"Baby pictures of Rainbow Dash!" both Windy Whistle and Bow Hothoof said together, showing the other adult ponies Rainbow Dash's baby pictures.
"AHHHHHHHHH!" Rainbow Dash screamed in embarrassment. "Oh boy," Spike replied.
