You know, I never expected to be reborn. Specially not in a world with devils, angels and all of the mythology you probably heard about in school or when reading the Percy Jackson series. Guess life (does it count if it's a new one?) has a way of making you eat your words.

Now, reincarnation isn't the most surprising event ever, as we've all heard about the possibility in one way or the other, but to reincarnate in someone else's body? In someone you know was supposed to be just a fictional character? That surely takes the cake. I don't know how I got here, if someone put me in this body and universe, timeline or whatever it is you read in those fanfics. I guess I should at least thank whoever did this to me that they put me in Gasper Vladi's body before he went and started crossdressing.

You might be asking why i'm not mad. I mean, there at surely a lot more beneficial characters to be reincarnated into, right? Rias Gremory with her Power of destruction? The only reason she didn't stomp her enemies is because of laziness. Kiba with his sheer versatility with creating swords with effects ranging from "I cut better" to "Fuck your regeneration, phoenix bird guy"? Even the Main Character, Issei, who has one of the most cheater type of Sacred Gears ever, being the Red Dragon Emperor and all that.

They all have so much potential if using their heads right (too bad nobody in this story knows what that means), but that's just the thing. Potential. Evolution. Always getting better. The Satan class monsters out there aren't feared only because they're strong, but because they feel unreachable. If anyone could get there with some effort and training, they wouldn't be nearly as powerful as they are politically, never mind feared. No, they're there because they had the potential to get there, maybe even get stronger if needed.

Kiba may have versatility, Rias can have her Power of Destruction and Issei can have his bullshit "I double my power whenever I want" shenanigan all he wants. Gasper? He (or should I say me?) has the most untapped potential of them all, save for maybe Issei. Now, being thrown headfirst into a dangerous worlds with Dragons, Gods and being that can kill me as easily as they breathe? Most people would be way over their heads. Me? They say the best way to deal with a sociopath is to not play their game, but what can the other players do when I'm the one who can see all the pieces?
