It was a lively Saturday night, and the city's hottest bar was bustling with people looking to unwind and have a good time. Jessica, dressed in a little black dress that hugged her curves perfectly, had decided to let loose and enjoy the weekend with her friends. Her red lipstick added a touch of confidence to her already striking appearance, making heads turn as she laughed and danced with her companions.
Harvey, casually dressed in a dark button-up shirt and jeans, had spontaneously decided to join his friends for a night out. He spotted Jessica across the room, her presence drawing him in like a magnet. He smiled to himself, deciding to give her space and not interfere with her fun.
As the night progressed, Harvey found himself engrossed in conversations with his friends, enjoying the music and the lively atmosphere. Every now and then, he would glance over at Jessica to check on her, but she seemed to be having a blast with her friends.
As the hours went by, Harvey noticed that Jessica's friends had left the bar, leaving her alone. He frowned slightly, concerned for her well-being. He continued to keep an eye on her discreetly, hoping she'd be okay.
However, his concern turned to alarm when he noticed a group of guys approaching Jessica. They were clearly intoxicated, and their intentions seemed anything but innocent.
One of the guys, who was particularly bold, leaned in too close, invading Jessica's personal space. "You're a real firecracker, huh?" he slurred, his words oozing with suggestive intent.
Another guy chimed in, making a crude remark about her appearance. "Hey, pretty lady, how about a dance?" he asked, attempting to grab her hand without permission.
Feeling uncomfortable, Jessica tried to maintain her composure, laughing nervously and politely declining their advances. However, the guys were persistent, and their hands began to wander, grazing her arm, waist and back inappropriately.
Jessica's smile faltered as she tried to dodge their advances, her discomfort growing by the minute. She felt trapped and annoyed, wanting nothing more than to escape the situation.
However, the guys seemed persistent, and one of them decided to take things a step further. He placed a hand on Jessica's lower back, attempting to pull her closer. "What's the rush, babe? Let's get to know each other better," he said, his words slurring together.
Feeling uncomfortable and invaded, Jessica gently removed his hand from her back, her smile faltering.
At that moment, Harvey decided he couldn't stand idly by any longer. He excused himself from his friends and made his way over to Jessica's side.
Harvey's expression was composed and unreadable as he approached, but there was a flicker of anger in his eyes. Without skipping a beat, he slid in beside Jessica, putting himself between her and the guys, creating a protective barrier. He greeted her with a casual smile, trying not to let on that he had noticed the tension in her demeanor.
"Hey, Jess," Harvey said, raising an eyebrow inquisitively. "Mind if I join you for a bit?"
Jessica's heart swelled with gratitude as she welcomed his presence. "It's good to see you Harvey," she replied, trying to steady her breath.
As Harvey put himself between Jessica and the guys, he attempted diffusing the tension. "Sorry, guys, but the dance floor is closed for renovations tonight."
Jessica couldn't help but chuckle at his quick wit, grateful for the distraction from the uncomfortable situation.
The guys didn't take kindly to Harvey's intervention and tried to challenge him, but he remained unfazed. He stood tall and unyielding, making it clear that he wouldn't back down.
"Come on, man, we're just having some fun," one of the guys slurred, trying to downplay their inappropriate behavior.
Harvey's eyes narrowed, and he shook his head with a knowing smile. "Fun shouldn't come at someone else's expense. Now, be gentlemen and give the lady some space."
The tension hung thick in the air, and the guys finally seemed to realize that Harvey wasn't backing down. Slowly, they dispersed, muttering complaints under their breath, but leaving Jessica alone.
"Jessica chuckled softly, shaking her head. "You always have a way of coming to the rescue, don't you?"
Harvey smirked, flashing his trademark confident grin. "Well, what can I say? It's a gift."
"Thanks, Harvey," Jessica said, her voice slightly more serious, but relief evident in her eyes."I really appreciate what you did back there. You're a good guy."
Harvey's demeanor softened, and he gave her a genuine smile. "Hey, what are friends for? I couldn't just stand by and watch those jerks bother you."
Jessica placed a hand on his arm, a gesture of gratitude and affection. "Well, thank you. It's nice to know I have someone looking out for me."
Harvey's heart skipped a beat, and he felt a surge of warmth for his friend. "Always, Jess."
They shared a heartfelt moment before Jessica's playful side returned, and she nudged him teasingly. "Just don't let it get to your head, Specter. I still think you're insufferable most of the time."
Harvey laughed, feeling a sense of lightness despite the seriousness of their conversation earlier. "Likewise, Pearson. You can be pretty unbearable too."
Jessica mock gasped, placing a hand over her heart dramatically. "Harvey Specter, are you saying I'm not perfect?"
Harvey raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes."You? Perfect? I don't know where you got that idea. Now come on, let's get you out of here. My place isn't far."
They arrived at Harvey's apartment, and he guided her inside, making sure she was steady on her feet. "You can crash here tonight," he said, his voice gentle. "I'll take the couch. You can have the bed."
Jessica nodded, feeling a mix of gratitude and embarrassment. "Thanks, Harvey," she said softly. "You're a good friend."
Harvey guided Jessica inside and settled her in the room with a glass of water and aspirins for the morning. Pulling a blanket over her he sat by her side, keeping an eye on her until she fell asleep.
The next morning, Jessica woke up with a pounding headache and a sense of embarrassment at her behavior the night before. She looked around, realizing she was in Harvey's bedroom, and memories of the bar came flooding back.
As she stepped into the living room, she found Harvey sitting on the couch, a playful smirk on his face. "Good morning, sleeping beauty, feeling any better?" he teasingly asked her, handing her a glass of water.
Jessica blushed with embarrassment as she nodded, taking a sip. "Yeah, thanks," she said, her voice still slightly hoarse from the alcohol. "Look, Thanks for last night. I'm sorry you had to deal with all of that"
"Don't worry about last night," Harvey said, sitting down next to her and waving away her apology. "We've all had our fair share of drunken nights. It happens."
Jessica smiled appreciatively, touched by his understanding. "Thanks for taking care of me," she said sincerely. "I don't know what I would have done without you."
Harvey shrugged, trying to keep things light. "It's what BFFs do," he quiped, giving her a playful nudge. "Now, let's get some breakfast in you. I know a great place that makes killer pancakes."
