A/N: I decided to write something and it's not very long. Just a glimpse of what it would be like if I started a longer story for Jace/Gaia….here's what I came up with.
OOOOOOOOOO
Jace stood across the room from a creature that wasn't supposed to be there on such a cursed planet. The very fact that she stood there blew his mind. Her wings of pure white feathers were closed behind her, waiting to be used at any moment.
"Gaia," she said to his unspoken question. "My name is Gaia."
Jace blinked. "So you can read minds?"
The creature cocked her head to one side. And speak to them directly…
Jace smirked. "Neat trick. Why haven't you told the others what your name is Gaia?"
The creature shook her head and crossed her arms. "I'm not interested in giving away all my details to them. Names are powerful things, Jace. You should know that as a Shadowhunter."
Jace copied her arm cross. "So, you're freely giving me your name?"
"Not everything is free."
"What that's supposed to mean?"
Jace watched the angelic creature move around the room, looking at the various weapons entombed in glass. He had been watching her since she had come there. There was something that he couldn't place about her. There was something that pulled him to her.
"Some random things are not free. You know that."
Jace saw her glance at him and look away with a slight blush in her cheeks. "What's this? Do angels really blush?"
Gaia's wings rustled. "You're not earning that response for free."
"Why?"
"Because."
"Good answer."
Gaia drew her wings in and frowned. "The rumors about your smug attitude are true, I see."
"What rumors? Or is that not freely given either?"
The angel smirked. "You're catching on."
Gaia turned and walked from the room. Jace, not one to be easily dismissed, followed after her. She led him to the front door and made to open it. Jace grabbed her hand to stop her.
"No, you're not going out there, Jace said, holding her hand firmly. "Too many possible dangers."
Gaia stared at him. "You're touching me."
"So?"
"No one in this building has been brave enough to touch me. But you…"
Jace smirked. "If you wanted touching, I could show you a thing or two."
That flush of color returned to her face. Jace decided that he liked the rosiness on her pale skin. There was something that made it more lovely than any other girl around. He was sure he was going to make it happen again and again.
"Shut it," she muttered, looking away from him. "You're not…you're so…"
"Good looking? Handsome? Daringly open?" Jace teased.
"You are horrible," Gaia told him. " No one would dare touch an angel and then make that kind of comment."
"That's makes me nobody then." Jace smirked at her and pulled her away from the door. "Don't tell me that angels don't have fun like that?"
Gaia shook her head as he pulled her closer. "No, no, and no."
"Boring!"
"You're never bored then?"
Jace turned to her. "I don't just sleep around."
Gaia sighed. "Not what I said."
Jace pulled her down the hall and into a library. He shut the door behind them and made sure it was locked.
"What are you saying?"
Gaia tapped her temple. "I can see your thoughts…they're different than the others. You don't view me as just an angelic object. You see me as desirable."
Jace looked away. "Don't know what you're talking about."
"I've seen you mentally take my clothes off," Gaia pointed out, almost teasingly. "You've been doing that for a while."\
"And what of it?"
"I don't know why you would do that. There's nothing particularly special about me or my body."
Jace shook his head. "You don't see you the way that I do. Or a normal boy would."
"There's nothing though."
Jace put his hands on her hips and lifted her onto the sliding ladder, acting like it was a perch. "Hold it! You're not saying that you're not a girl like you look like?"
Gaia crossed her arms. "Are you going to keep me suspended up here?"
Jace smirked. "Possibly. Until this little angel here, tells us that the angel is pretty and can be touched."
Gaia rolled her eyes and remained silent. Jace touched her cheek and waited for her to speak. But she didn't say anything."
"You're not concerned?"
"Nope. I heard about you."
"Rumors lie."
"Or make a man great," Gaia said, looking at him with a raised eyebrow. "But that remains to be seen."
Jace cocked his head to one side. "You're willing to play Chicken?"
Gaia smiled. "You'll lose."
Jace smirked and lifted his hand away from her cheek. He put his hand on her knee and slowly started sliding it up. His eyes remained trained on Gaia's pure blue eyes. She looked at him with a small smile and didn't move a muscle.
How are her eyes so blue? They're like sapphires…and she's not squirming. A girl would normally be shrieking and squirming about me touching them this way.
Jace curved his hand over her thigh and moved closer to his intended target. He cupped her and Gaia didn't say a word, didn't move. Jace lifted his brows in surprise and pulled his hand back.
Gaia wrapped her hands around the side bars of the ladder. "You lose?"
"I wouldn't call it losing on my part," Jace said, smirking at her.
"But you lost the game?"
"True enough." He leaned towards her. "But I touched you though."
Gaia hummed. "Rumors lie."
Jace gripped her hips again and looked her in the eye. "This doesn't."
Gaia's lips were impossibly soft and sweet when his touched hers. Jace was instantly addicted to the taste and took the kiss deeper. Gaia moaned softly as he pushed up her skirt and touched her, really touched her.
"Are you…?" he asked breathlessly as he pulled back to let her breathe.
"Does it matter?" Gaia asked, staring at his lips. "This is what we both want…"
Jace kissed her again and sheathed himself inside of her…
OOOOOOOOOO
Gaia leaned heavily against the ladder with a spent Jace leaning between her naked thighs hours later. She stroked the back of his neck, playing with loose strands of golden hair. Jace chuckled.
"You're a naughty little angel, aren't you, pet?"
Gaia hummed. "Rumors about angels…all lies." She squeezed her thighs around him. "We're just as needy as you are."
Jace pressed a kiss to her lips, unable to help himself. Gaia sighed when he pulled away.
"Your friends are looking for you," Gaia announced, fixing her clothes back into place. "And people are looking for me. Best get away while we still have time."
Jace smirked. "You're going to see more of me soon."
Gaia nodded. "I expect to." She slipped off the ladder and crossed to the door. "See you soon, Jace."
With a whisper, she disappeared through the door and Jace felt her walk away. He frowned and wrenched the door open.
"Wait!" he called out.
Gaia turned and looked at him in confusion. Jace crossed the distance between them. He took her hand and squeezed it.
"Together," he said.
There was a gasp as people stepped into the hall. Someone pointed at them.
"Jace is touching her!" they gasped. "He's touching the Angel!"
If only you knew, Jace thought with a smirk. I already have plans for this little angel's stay here…
Me too, her voice whispered in his head. Me too.
OOOOOOOOO
A/N: It's not very long and I don't intend to make it longer. Maybe one day when I have enough free time, I'll write something longer for Jace/Gaia. But for now, it's one shots. Thanks for reading and adios! -Scarlet
