Hi fans, here new fanfic about our favourite couples BD/BK. Don´t be surprised, I was inspired in this story by DylanlovesBrenda „Journals D´amour". My story is a bit more BK though. I hope so anyway. So read and enjoy. If you have questions…asked me…
This fanfic takes place fifteen years after the finale. Also 2015. If you read „Journals D´amour, this story is similar. I just rewrote them a bit. Due Luke´s sudden death, I rejuvenated the kids a bit. In my fanfic they are only fourteen and younger. Brenda and Dylan still live together in Beverly Hills. Well they are now in their forties.
Chapter 1 A normal life
Antonia grabbed the remote control and switch over. Kyle almost dropped his glass and lunged at his sister.
„Toni, why are you changing the channel? We want to watch Bugs Bunny."
But Toni didn´t want to hear anything about it and kept zapping.
„Granny…Toni takes out Bugs Bunny." Kyle yelled towards the kitchen.
A little later Iris appeared with Sheila from the kitchen. They carried a bottle of juice and four glasses.
„Toni, why are you switching? We´ve made our decision, haven´t we?" Iris looked at her eldest granddaughter.
„But we already know this episode." Toni looked annoyed at her grandmother and then at her brother.
„One more episode and then we´ll switch programs, okay Kyle, Toni?" She took turns looking at the two children.
„All right, Granny." Toni exhaled.
„Did Mom and Dad get in touch yet?" asked Sheila.
„No. Maybe they´ll enjoy the Seine a little longer. Oh, I have to go to Paris too." Iris started daydreaming.
The ringing of her phone pulled her out of her thoughts. She looked at the screen and saw her son´s familiy photo. She looked at her watch.
„Hi Dylan. We were just talking about you. Are you still awake? What time is it at you?"
Toni looked at her grandmother. Then she heard her father´s muffled voice.
„I know. It´s three in the morning. But Brenda wanted to know how the children are doing. We had been to the theater for the midnight show and have only just arrived at the hotel."
Iris smiled into the phone. „Yes, your loved ones are here having dinner." She smiled at Toni and gave her her phone.
„Hi Dad. Yes, we´re fine. Would you like to speak to Kyle?" Toni handed the phone to her brother.
„Dad, I passed Granny in the race today." Kyle was all excited. „And today Granny even cooked for us."
Toni and Iris heard Dylan laugh through the phone. Then they suddenly heard their mother.
„Kyle, honey, remember to moisturize your skin afterwards."
„No Mom. I won´t forget." He looked at his little sister Sheila. „Sheila would like to speak to you." Kyle handed the phone to Sheila.
„Mommy, when are you coming back?"
„Next week honey." She heard Brenda´s caring voice.
„It´s soon. Understood. No, it´s great with Granny. We went swimming earlier. Alright Mom, we´ll call tomorrow. We love you."
„We love you too." They heard Brenda and Dylan speak at the same time.
Then Sheila hung up.
What the kids didn´t see was that Brenda and Dylan were laying naked in their king size bed. When the call ended, Dylan picked up his phone and placed it on the bedside table.
„Well, you heard…it´s all right. Now no more calls." Dylan mumbled.
Brenda closed her eyes as Dylan´s hand slipped between her legs. She was ready. Brenda could already feel Dylan´s hard cock against her back.
She turned around. „I just wanted to make sure." She placed her lips on his and immediately felt Dylan´s delicious tongue.
„Greetings from Mom and Dad. They´ll be back next week." Sheila yelled happily to her siblings.
„They´ll enjoy the time from their little rascals." Iris took turns patting her three grandchildren´s head and laughing.
And while the kids ate Iris´ Hawaiian food, Iris proudly took turns looking at the latest family photo. She had to smile. Her son now had a full beard and had turned a little grayer. His face was also more prominent due to its wrinkles. Her son was now forty-one years old. With her daughter-in-law, on the other hand, time seemed to have stood still. She still had her long brown hair that was slightly wavy at the top. She and Dylan had been married for fourteen years and were on a long weekend in France for their wedding anniversary. And to keep the kids under control, they had asked Iris to live with them until then.
The McKay´s doorbell rang.
„That must be Aunt Erica." Kyle jumped up and ran to the door. The twelve year old opened the door.
„There´s my favourite nephew." Erica hugged Kyle lovingly.
Then ten-year-old Sheila came running. Toni just waved at her aunt.
„Hi Granny." Erica hugged Iris and Iris grimaced.
She didn´t really like it when Erica called her Granny.
„Are you hungry Erica? There is still enough there."
„Yes gladly. I´m starving." Erica walked into the kitchen. „And are our lovebirds enjoying their vacation?"
„Yes, they called earlier. They´ll be back next week." Iris drank her glass of water. „Do you have to go today?"
„Yes." Erica ate a pie of vegetable. „I have an appointment with Brandon."
Iris looked at her.
„It´s just business." Erica explained.
A little later they said goodbye and during Erica drove to Brandon´s Iris looked at photos. She liked doing that when she was looking after the children. Brenda with a big belly in London, Dylan with Toni in his arms, Brenda pregnant with Kyle. Dylan was sitting next to her with Toni on his lap and Toni had her little hands on Brenda´s stomach. Brenda was pregnant with Sheila. Again Dylan sat next to her with Kyle on his arm. Toni was sitting next to her mother and she and Kyle had their hands on Brenda´s stomach. Now the children were grown up. She looked at photos of Dylan in a wetsuit with his kids. Toni was a reflection of her father. Kyle looked like Brenda, just like Sheila. Iris was so proud of her son. She was so happy when Brenda announced she was expecting a baby. Then she thought about Dylan and Brenda. What were they doing now? Iris took a sip of water.
Since Toni didn´t want to continue watching „Bugs Bunny" she went upstairs to her father´s office and looked around for a book. She often did. She liked to read her father´s books.
„Here Granny. Look what I found in Dad´s office?" Toni came to Iris with a small book.
„I don´t know if you father is okay with you just being in his office?"
„Dad doesn´t mind. I always get inspiration form my school essays from his books."
„What do you find?" Iris looked at the book. „Dylan´s Diary." Iris swallowed.
„This is Dad´s Diary. What do you think it says in there?" Iris suspected something. She knew that her son had a wild past, especially with women. She just hoped the content was mature.
Toni opened the book.
„To the woman who saved me from myself…
With you the earth was a bed of grass
We slept in it like two seeds
With you I was more than I am
Your mouth, the sun
Everything made possible
I´m burning with the love I´ve lost
When I lost you
Jack Grapes
Toni drew her eyebrows together.
„Who?" She looked at Iris. „Someone my father loved and lost?"
Iris looked at her questioningly. Did Dylan talk about his first wife Antonia Marchette? Even Brenda and Dylan named her first-born daughter after her.
„Does Mom know about it?" Toni was irritated.
She wondered if that was why this book was hidden? Her mother would never have walked through those shelves. She took a deep breath, afraid to turn the page. Antonia Iris McKay was a romantic at heart. Her parents were celebrating their fourteenth wedding anniversary. They seemed to be in love. They had a long history that even stretched back to high school and every now and then trough the years. They had known each other since childhood.
„Holy shit." Toni blurted out. „Wasn´t Mom Dad´s first choice? Wasn´t she his soul mate, as she had claimed before?" She took a deep breath, afraid to continue. „Wasn´t Mom Dad´s first love?"
„We will only find out if you read it." Iris took Toni´s hand and Toni began to read the first two pages.
Iris listened carefully. It was also interesting for her to learn how the love story between her son and daughter-in-law started. Now and then Toni let out a sigh. Her father was an excellent writer. She felt like she was there when they met. Iris was shocked. On the one hand about the fact that the diary was a gift from her ex-husband Jack and on the other hand how alone Dylan was in his childhood. And then she was happy to hear when and how Brenda came into his life.
„…there are two things I´m very aware of after tonight. First, Brenda makes me want to be a better person. I want her to be proud of me. She sees something in me that I never knew existed. She makes me feel safe and I need her in my life. And the second, which is so strong that I never thought it possible…I was in love with her. I fell in love with Brenda Walsh after only one date….Dylan"
Toni closed the book and pulled it to her chest as she sat up. A smile crossed her face. This unpublished book was really about her mother. So many questions ran through her mind. The dedication, the poem by Jack Grapes, I burned with love I lost when I lost you. Toni knew her parents had a long story, what exactly went on in that story was a misery, but he lost her. How could he lose her? They had apparently been together for fifteen years. Fourteen of them married. That was their story, at least from her father´s point of view. Why hide? It seemed beautiful. Iris smiled too. She was relieved that the journal was about Brenda. She hugged her granddaughter.
„It´s already late. Off to bed." She kissed Toni on the head.
„Good night Granny."
„Good night Sweetheart."
And Toni disappeared into her room. However, she couldn´t let go of the diary in her mind. She hid it under her pillow and found her blissful sleep.
The next day, Iris was shopping with Kyle and Sheila, Toni lay on her lounger in the garden and continued reading the diary. Suddenly she heard a bicycle bell. She looked up and saw a curly blond head.
„Hi Sammy." She smiled at her cousin.
Samuel James Walsh smiled back, got off his bike and walked over to Toni.
„Hi. What are you doing right now?"
„I found something from Dad yesterday." She pointed to the leather-bound book that was now resting on her lap.
Toni took a deep breath. „It was hidden in Dad´s study. He wrote a book about Mom."
Sammy took the book from her and leafed through it. He stopped at the back of the page and read aloud. „It was an amazing wedding. Donna and David were actually married. It was an incredible sight. However, Brenda didn´t come. Something about a play, I was more than a little disappointed. Brandon didn´t come back to L.A. either. Maybe it was better. Maybe it should be. Less complicated. Now I could completely count on this thing happening again with a certain unnamed blonde."
Toni snatched the book from her cousin. „Don´t jump any further."
Sammy laughed. „What blonde…I thought you said it was about your Mom?"
„I don´t know." Toni spoke softly and looked at the book again.
Thoughtfully, she gently ran her hand over ist.
„I haven´t gotten that far yet."
„Well, how far have you gotten?" Sammy seemed interested, although not very literary.
„Their meeting…first date?" Toni smiled at her cousin which made him roll his eyes.
„God, you´re so dreamy and sweet, it´s disgusting." Sammy shook his head.
Toni took a deep breath. „Yes…seems too cute." She murmured.
Sammy cocked his head, his hand came to his cousin´s shoulder as he squeezed it gently.
Toni looked at Sammy. Sammy was the perfect mix of his father and mother. He got his blonde hair from Kelly. Brandon had the curls as a child too.
„Where´s Nate? You always ride your bikes together, don´t you?" Toni changed the subject.
Sammy´s hand fell from Toni. „Nate had helped Mom in the kitchen because he messed up again. He hid Dad´s article."
Toni looked at Sammy. „Where did he hide it?" She asked.
„In Mom´s closet. Mom found him by accident."
Toni just shook her head.
„So this book, huh? It sounds pretty interesting." Sammy thought for a moment. „Aunt Donna and Uncle David were married since when, 2000? That was fifteen years ago. We are fourteen and thirteen years old and Uncle Dylan is talking about a blonde here. You have to tell me what´s happening." He got up from the lounge to head back home.
Toni smiled, wondering the same thing. Now that Sammy jumped ahead for a second, she was curios how her parents got together. Gathered enough to sire them anyway.
As soon as Sammy left, Iris and her siblings came back. Kyle and Sheila immediately ran towards their big sister.
„We brought the Cheerios. For tonight." Sheila handed Toni the pack.
„Thank you very much. That´s kind of you."
„We just saw Sammy drive away."
„Yes, he was a bit bored. His brother´s on kitchen duty."
Sheila laughed.
Toni´s cell phone rang loudly. She looked at the front panel. She picked it up.
„Control call." She smiled and answered. „Hi Dad."
„Hey Darling…how´s my little girl?"
„Dad…I´m not a little girl." Toni rolled his eyes.
„Yeah, yeah..so you keep telling me. How is the home front, you and your siblings? I don´t listen to loud music." Dylan giggled.
Toni pressed the loudspeaker. „Hello Dad." Cried Sheila.
Then Kyle came too. „Hi Dad."
Dylan pressed the speakerphone and Brenda´s voice came over the phone.
„Hello folks."
„Hey Mom." All three shouted.
Tony continued. „No Dad…we don´t stay up too late, we don´t dirty the house, we don´t annoy Granny…" Toni prayed down. „How are you?"
„Well, France is wonderful. We hired a limousine today and it took us to french country. We had a picnic…it was great." Her father´s tone was sweet and then they wrinkled their noses at hearing their mother giggle, kissing sounds coming through the phone.
„Disgusting boys." Toni whimpered and Kyle laughed.
He waggled his eyebrows at his sister. When he heard her parents laugh over the speaker.
„What have you done?" Brenda asked you interested.
„Kyle and Sheila went shopping with Granny and just got back. We want to cook together right away. I did something in the garden and then read." She lifted the leather-bound book from her lap and rolled her eyes, sighing.
„These are my children." Their father sounded proud. „Okay, well…we miss you. We´ll get back to you tomorrow." Dylan said as they heard more kissing sounds.
The siblings looked at each other and pretended to choke.
„We miss you too. Have fun!" Kyle got up now and went to the garden gate.
„We love you all." Brenda called through the phone.
„We love you too." Said Toni back.
She pressed her phone and took a deep breath. She wished she was in Europa right now. She loved paris.
„Why didn´t you tell Dad you found his book?" Asked Iris from the door.
Toni shrugged. „I don´t know…it appears to be private. It wasn´t directly visible. It was hidden, I don´t know if he wanted me to read it."
But Iris put her arm around Toni´s shoulders. „Your Dad certainly wouldn´t have scolded you. He would have beeng lad if you had been honest."
Toni looked at her Granny, shrugged again.
Of course Dylan would understand if she told him right away. He was always happy when he gave her suggestions for writing. Like Dylan, Toni was interested in things like literature, poetry and surfing. Kyle, on the other hand, was a jock. He was interested in all kinds of sports like basketball, surfing, baseball. He took everything with him. At the same time, he also showed an interest in musicals. Sheila, like her mother, was interested in dressing up and role-playing.
„Come on." Iris pulled her out of her thoughts. „Let´s make dinner."
Toni took the book, got up and followed Iris into the kitchen.
After Dinner they went shopping with Iris. Erica joined them. After that, Erica went surfing with them. Iris watched them smiling and took pictures of them for Dylan and Brenda.
At evening Erica said goodbye again through the night. Toni laid the leather-bound book on her dresser and pulled down her sheets, turning off her light by her bed. As she curled up under her warm blanket, she thought to her mother and father. How crazy they were about each other. It made her smile. She had grown up with true love. It was hard to imagine her father or mother with anyone else. Her thoughts were interrupted as she heard as her cell phone rang. She reached out and reached for it when she saw a text message from Sammy.
S: Have you read on yet? Do you already know who the unknown blonde was?
T: No, not yet. I will continue reading tomorrow.
She switched off her phone and laid it gently on the brown leather-bound book. She closed her eyes and thought about her parents again. There were a few things she learned from just reading a little of her father´s diary. He met her mother when they were sixteen. She already knew that. He seemed crazy about her, she knew that too when she saw her these days. But I heard she went somewhere and didn´t come to Donna and David´s wedding. Which surprised Toni. Donna and David were still close friends of their parents. Although her father seemed disappointed her mother didn´t show up, it seemed he was in a relationship with someone else, or at least resuming one. She stared at the book again, she could spend all night reading it. She sat up and reached for it. She turned on her bedside lamp and opened it where she left off. One more entry, maybe two, and then she would really go to bed.
Okay fans, I hope you like it….Review please
