It's time for Ruby's first Gym Battle. Now, here's the next Question; If I was to write another Ruby Gillman Pokemon Fanfic, what region would you like her to be in?

Chapter 7

Triple Leaders, Triple Threats.

"Wait, so, uh", said Ruby, still confused. "THIS is the Striaton Gym?".

"You bet", answered the red head. "My name's Chillie".

"I'm Cilen" added the green head.

"And I'm Cress" finished off the blue head.

"Oh, uh, I'm Ruby Gillman" said Ruby.

"So, I take it that this is your first gym battle?" Asked Chillie.

"Yeah", answered Ruby. "So, who do I fight?".

"You actually get to choose here", answered Cilen. "You can choose any one of us to fight".

"Well, I uh", said Ruby. "If you don't mind, I, I'd like to challenge all three of you!". The restaurant was silent. Chillie then broke it.

"All three of us?", asked Chillie. "Are you sure?".

"Yeah", answered Ruby. "I got three Pokemon, a-and there's three of you, so uh, I was thinking, uh".

"A three on three battle?" Asked Cilen.

"Yeah, that, a three on three battle" answered Ruby.

"Hmm, a different flavour to a familiar recipe", said Cilen. "I like that".

"Then let's get this show on the road" said Chillie. He then walked over to a lamp and pulled it down. One of the walls then opened up, to reveal a battle field.

"Well now", said Cilen. "Shall we get started?". Ruby went to the right side and the brother's went to the left.

"You ready for this Ruby?" Asked Cress.

"As ready as I think I need to be" answered Ruby as she took out three Pokeballs.

"Alrighty then", said Ruby. "Oshawott! Patrat! Pansear! Time to fight!". Her Pokeballs then opened up and her three Pokemon came out.

"Time for you to meet OUR partners" said Cilen before he and his two brothers threw their Pokeballs. Chillie had a Pansear too. But Cress had a monkey that was cream and blue and looked like it had a pool on it's head and Cilen had a cream and green monkey that looked like it had a bush on it's head and they responded with cries of 'Panpour' and 'Pansage' respectively.

"Okay, I recognise Pansear", said Ruby as she took out her Pokedex. "But, who are they other two?".

Panpour

The Spray Pokemon.

The water that is stored in the tuft on it's head is full of nutrients. Plants that are watered with this water grow very large.

Pansage

The Grass Monkey Pokemon.

Pansage often share the leaves on their head with weary Pokemon. These leaves are said to be incredible stress relievers.

Ruby then put away her Pokedex.

"Okay then", said Ruby. "Time to battle! Oshawott, use Razor Shell on Pansear! Pansear, use Fury Swipes on Pansage! Patrat, use Bite on Pansear!". Ruby's Pokemon then charged forward!

"Pansear, use Dig!" Shouted Chillie.

"Panpour, use Mud Sport!" Shouted Cress.

"Pansage, use Bullet Seed!" Shouted Cilen.

Chillie's Pansear dug underground and avoided Oshawott's attack. Panpour fired rounds of mud wods from it's mouth at Patrat, even getting one in Patrat's mouth. Pansage then fired seeds from it's mouth rapidly at Ruby's Pansear.

"Pansear, try Fury Swipes again!" Shouted Ruby. The tips of Ruby's Pansear's fingers glowed white, it charged forward and struck Pansage.

"Use Water Gun!" Shouted Cress. Panpour then fired a stream of water from it's mouth.

"You use Water Gun too!" Shouted Ruby. Oshawott then fired a stream of water from her mouth. The two then collided.

"Use Bite!" Shouted Cilen. Pansage then bit Oshawott, causing her to lose the water gun fight.

"Use Incinerate!" Shouted Ruby. Her Pansear then fired a stream of fire from it's mouth.

"Use Water Gun again!" Shouted Cress. Panpour then fired a stream of water at Ruby's Pansear.

"Patrat, use Tackle!" Shouted Ruby. Patrat then tackled Panpour.

'This is not good', thought Ruby. 'When I attack one, the others are gonna defend it. Hmmm, *gasp* wait. That's it'.

"Patrat, use Bite on Pansear!" Shouted Ruby. Patrat then charged forward with it's mouth open.

"Use Dig!" Shouted Chillie. His Pansear then dug into the floor, avoiding the attack.

"Now, Oshawott!", shouted Ruby. "Use Water Gun and aim for the hole!". Oshawott then fired a stream of water into the hole. A part of the floor started to crack and Chillie's Pansear came out in a guiser of water.

"Tackle it, Patrat!" Shouted Ruby. Patrat then tackled Chillie's Pansear, knocking it out.

"Use Fury Swipes!" Cress and Ruby shouted. Panpour and Ruby's Pansear charged forward with glowing fingers, just as they were about to make contact…

"Oshawott, Tackle!" Shouted Ruby. Oshawott then tackled Panpour, knocking it out.

"Guess it's time to break out the big guns", said Cilen. "Pansage, use Solar Beam!". Pansage then absorbed solar energy into it's palms.

"That can't be good" said Ruby. She then saw that Patrat and her Pansear were panting heavily.

"Looks like it's all on you, Oshawott" said Ruby. Oshawott looked back at her.

"Oshawott Oshawott wott" said Oshawott. She then opened her mouth and blue energy was gathering up in front of it.

"What's going on?" Asked Ruby.

"That's Water Pulse", answered Cilen. "Ruby, I think your Oshawott just learned Water Pulse".

"Whoa, that's so cool", squealed Ruby. "You learned Water Pulse. 'Kay, time to finish this". Soon, both Solar Beam and Water Pulse were finished charging.

"Pansage/Oshawott, use Solar Beam/Water Pulse!". Pansage then fired a beam of solar energy from it's hands and Oshawott then released a ball of water. The two attacks collided, creating a smoke cloud. The water pulse then came through and trapped Pansage inside, spinning it around a few times before disbursing and dropping Pansage, who was now knocked out.

"Well, Ruby", said Cress. "As one of the Striaton Gym leaders, I am proud to say, you won".

"I, I won?", asked Ruby before giving off a big smile. "I WON! WHOO HOO!". Pansear, Patrat and Oshawott then jumped into her arms and she cuddled them.

"You all did so well", said Ruby. "Thank you". Her Pokemon then jumped out of her arms. The three brothers then walked over to her, with Chillie carrying a tray.

"You, were amazing, Ruby" said Cilen.

"Quite a battle for your first gym", added Cress. "I just know you're gonna do great in your future".

"So", finished Chillie. "We are proud to present you with the Trio Badge". Ruby then took the badge, it had a gold outline that was shaped like three diamonds with three smaller ones inside, each coloured to match one of the brother's hair colours.

"Sweetness", said Ruby. "Today's a great day, because I just won, the Trio Badge!". She then took her badge case out, opened it and placed the badge inside.

"I've, been avoiding this question since you first arrived", said Chillie. "But, why is your skin blue?".

"Chillie", admonished Cress. "Don't be rude".

"You were probably wondering the same thing" said Chillie.

"It's a skin condition, that's all" said Ruby before giving off a nervous laugh. The three brothers just raised an eyebrow to this.

"Well, I better head to the Pokemon Centre", said Ruby. "Gotta heal up my Pokemon". She then ran out.

"That is one weird girl" said Cilen.
