Okay, reply time!

lordgemini- The reason I'm saying I don't change a ton, is because there is a lot in others that I change way more in comparison. Today is a great example. Please don't feel bad about comparing. That's the whole purpose of this. Here, the reason Madison covered Ethan is because she wants that deal too, and her confessional before the cover-up shows who she plans on reaching out to help, so she needs him to stay. Hope that clarifies it. Glad you're liking this version much better!

Episode 4, which will be a least favorite for most (R.I.P. a legend here)

Episode 4: Total Flood-out

Rain was crashing down on Karon Island. The whole lower level of the island was now starting to be covered in rain. Chris was on a boat where the dock would normally be, wearing a green rain jacket. "Last time, on Total Drama Karon Island," Chris announced, "we went paintballing and had a little fight. Not everyone was very good at this." Clips played of Flora freezing up against Norm, Hannah getting shot point blank, and Chad getting thrown up in the net. "On the other hand, some people were incredible." Clips played of Paul enacting his plan with Flora, Sheldon's fatal shot to Norm, and Ethan firing the shot to throw Chad in the net.

"Things got dicey when Jonathan accused Ethan of sabotage that he totally did, but Jonathan's little crush decided not to vouch for him to save herself and a potential ally." Clips played of Jonathan's point being refuted by Angie and Madison not speaking up, followed by Ethan and Madison's deal in the woods. "In the end, Chad bit the bullet for Norm's failure against Sheldon, which was a cause of...a lot of things. But, we learned that Chad's whole Chad schtick was fake! Now everyone's sad he's gone." Final clips played of Chad's elimination and his trip on the Launch of Shame.

"We're flooded with good ratings right now!" Chris said as rain poured down more and more on the island, "so much that we're way overhydrated, so we're kicking someone off today, like we always do." He grinned. "Who will take the hit today? Will the Hens manage a win, or will the Bunnies keep their streak going? Find all that out today on Total! Drama! Karon Island!

Opening Sequence

[Various cameras and other director equipment come popping out of various points on the island. Firstly, it appears out of a large tree, then out of a hole at the entrance to the mines, and finally, shooting all the way from the top of The Chasm.]

Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doing fine,

[The camera zooms all the way up at the top of Mount Karon. Kara is at the top, observing something as Kayla jumps off of the cliff and starts flying downward, opening up a parachute at the very last second.]

You guys are on my mind,

[The camera moves to the beach, where Gretchen falls off of the rocky cliff and lands face first into the water, still splashing around happily anyway. Nearby, Juan is relaxing in the water as Hannah pops up next to him, evidently annoying him.]

You asked me what I wanted to be, and I think the answer is plain to see,

[Near the beach, the fourth boat is still wrecked and crashed into a rock. Helio lifts the boat out of the water to move it, all while Daniel is still on it, shocked at the boy's strength. Meanwhile, Madison emerges from the boat wreckage as well, and Jonathan offers his hand to help, which she takes begrudgingly.]

I wanna be famous!

[Further into the woods, Paul is narrowly racing against Sarah in a race. The pessimist trips over Sheldon and crashes to the ground, upset over his loss because of it. Flora rushes over to check on the safety of both the boys.]

I wanna live close to the sun,

[At the base of Mount Karon, Randall is decked out in climbing gear, excited to start moving up the mountain. Next to him, Alexa, looks significantly disinterested, sleeping on a log instead of watching.]

Go pack your bags cause I've already won,

[In the forest, Chad is screaming and jumping around to different trees, while Angie stands in the middle of all of it, covering her ears and getting increasingly more agitated.]

Everything to prove, nothing in my way, I'll get there one day,

[As Chad makes more noises, Ethan and Norm watch from a tree in the distance, before both of them exchange an understanding nod. Next to them lies an empty poison bottle.]

Cause I wanna be famous!

[In the dining tent, Chef and Luna are conversing rather calmly, before a strike of lightning crashes down on the tent. Chef runs out, but Luna appears unfazed by it, instead calmly glancing upward.]

Na na, na na na na, na na na na, na na na na na na!

[The camera moves to the dock, where Luna appears out of nowhere, spooking Paul and Kayla. The two glare at her, the former giving up on caring much faster than the latter.]

I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous! I wanna be, I wanna be, I wanna be famous!

[The camera drops down to the mines, where Kara is lurking, and she presses a button that launches out a ball of fire. The fire reveals some sort of odd structure inside the mine, bursting into a big glow that transitions to the fire.]

I wanna be famous *whistling*

[Everyone is circled up at the fire. In the middle of all of it, Jonathan leans in toward Madison, who jumps backward, accidentally landing in Ethan's lap, where she is even more freaked out. Above them is the sign that reads 'Total Drama Karon Island'.]

The Bouncing Bunnies were having a very relaxing morning following their second victory. "I'll tell ya," Alexa muttered groggily as she was just waking up, her hair already perfectly straight and like she spent hours on it, "we just need to keep winning, I wouldn't mind this group in the merge."

Kayla sat on her bed, watching Alexa's hair. "Okay, first of all, you just woke up, I cannot believe your hair is like that." She blinked a few times before shaking it off. "Okay, anyway, I think I could live without a couple of the boys. Sheldon is getting on my nerves just by existing, and Paul is a walking nightmare to be around. I could go without them."

Flora sighed. "We're still winning, I don't think fighting is the solution," she assured the brat. "Plus, Paul and Sheldon were essential to our win yesterday, we should make sure they are respected for that. Paul helped me out when I didn't want to shoot that paintball gun." She smiled sheepishly. "Sorry again about that. I hope I can make up for it."

Kara patted the pacifist on the shoulder. "Don't beat yourself up over it," the curious girl told Flora. "Everyone has things they're bad at. Some of us could learn to be as nice a person as you." Kayla rolled her eyes at her sister's sly remark. "Well, I'm gonna head outside and take a walk." Kara threw open the door, only to see the water level was reaching the bottom of the cabins' stairs. "Well, I guess this is as far as I go."

"I predicted something like this would happen," Luna shared, already dressed and outside. "I slept on the roof in preparation." She smiled. "Apologies, I guess I should have told you that." She shrugged. "Regardless, it seems that loud boy, Chad, from the other team, has left us."

Alexa looked shocked. "Huh, that's weird, he was cooking Randall and I in the challenge yesterday, and he got Daniel and Helio." She shrugged. "First they keep their liability, then they boot one of their best. Angie's a weird leader, I bet she'll go soon for losing another challenge." She turned to Luna. "Any intel on the challenge today?"

The psychic shook her head. "Regrettably, the heavy rain is clouding my judgement, I'm afraid we'll have to do our best here without any help. Maybe the boys are doing better than us."

In the boys' cabin, things were just as bad. Helio was doing push-ups with Daniel on his back in the corner, as Paul came in with a loud groan. "Flooded out there," he said with disgust, "things are probably going to be awful today with how wet it is. And I'm on a bottom bunk, my stuff will probably get flooded too."

Sheldon raised his head. "Impossible," he told the pessimist. "The weather yesterday didn't indicate rainfall for another-" Paul shook his upper body off at Sheldon, who was now covered in water. "That settles it. It's very much precipitating outside." He shrugged. "Hopefully that won't affect my little project." The nerd was scribbling away on a notepad of his, which the boys were all ignoring.

At that time, Randall dropped in from the roof of the cabin and opened the door, sopping wet. "Wow, it's coming down out there," he said with a sneeze. "I think I got a cold from sleeping out in the rain." He shook his head. "Kinda weird, since you know, it was perfectly clear last night."

That caught the attention of the girls' cabin. "Wait, you noticed it too!" Kara shouted, running out to the porch. "It was looking like it'd be super hot today but now it's way below average temperature and hurricane level rains." Her eyes lit up. "And the other day, there was that thunderstorm. Something really weird is going on here."

Kayla came out to the porch as well. "Kara, would you be a dear and close that door? If my ears have to hear Pencil this early in the morning, I'm gonna throw someone's stuff in the flood, and if you were the one who opened the door, it'll be yours."

Now everyone was coming out to the cabin porches to join in on the conversation. Paul walked out, still wet from earlier. "Like you've been doing any better?" he remarked. "Pencil saved us from having to send someone home yesterday. That's reason to keep him around." He narrowed his eyes at her. "I'll see to it that he gets to stay around and keep doodling on the little notepad he's been doodling on."

The final remark got the attention of the brat. "Notepad?" She peered over the cabin porch to see the water still rising to the steps. "Eh, maybe not now, but I'll get that thing." Paul looked offended on Sheldon's behalf. "Come on, he could be planning how to betray your trust!" Sheldon was inside, listening to the whole thing.

Sheldon: "It is nice to see Paul appreciates my intellect and other abilities. But, I was doing something quite different, now that the possible eliminations have been narrowed down to eighteen factorial. After eliminating the unreasonable chances, it was a simple task to guess the whole game." He smiled. "Probability is such a fun concept!"

Kayla: She looked upset. "The more challenges we win, the more I can take this lousy team to the merge and crush them. But I'm not a fan of Paul's little buddy. I'm going to make sure next time we lose it's him who goes, and that notepad is gonna be how I do it."

The Happy Hens were win a similar situation. Norm was laying in the room with Juan, peering out the window. "You voted Chad last night," Norm pointed out to the Spaniard. "Thanks. I appreciate you helping us out like that." Juan nodded with a smile. "That reminds me," Norm added. "You've been able to respond to everything I've said so far."

Juan suddenly looked a little nervous, but continued not to say anything about it. "Something tells me that you understand more than you let us believe," Norm concluded. "But, it doesn't really bother me. You voted for Chad, so I'm going to let this one go under the radar." Juan looked more relieved at that. Norm looked at the door. "Jonathan and Ethan have been out there for a while. Wonder what they're discussing so civilly."

Out on the porch, Jonathan had shut the door behind him as Ethan was out looking at the rain. "I know you're responsible for Chad," he accused Ethan. "You threw the challenge to get him out. I saw it with my own eyes, and Madison saw it too." He sighed. "Your presence scared her too much to vouch for me. I'll make sure you leave today."

Ethan groaned. "This again? First of all, I took out two Bunnies with him, that was a good trade for the team. Chad's usefulness and potential usefulness ran out, and he hurt my ears." He then laughed. "Oh, and Madison wasn't scared by me. It was you, that's why she didn't stick up for you." Jonathan gasped. "You spend too much time around her, she'll catch on that you like her."

Jonathan gasped again. He looked around to see if any of the Bunnies were outside. Most of them were on the porch of their cabin, but they were all arguing, Kayla spearheading it. He checked inside and Norm seemed to be trying to say something to Juan. "Who told you?" he asked the anti-villain sternly. "I didn't tell anyone."

"You did, just now," Ethan reminded him. Jonathan smacked his forehead with his palm, realizing his blunder. Ethan laughed again. "Alright, here's my new deal. You'll keep your accusations to yourself for now, and I'll keep your crush to myself for now." He paused. "Oh, and if you throw any challenges, I tell her anyway." He held out his hand. "C'mon, let's win a challenge for once today."

The lover boy grimaced. "Fine, I'll agree to that." He took the boy's hand and shook it. "You won't come out on top for everything you've done. It's only been two days. What won't you stop at?" That last sentence hit Ethan hard.

Jonathan: "Anything to keep her from knowing," he said in defeat, "but once I tell her how I feel, I'll remind everyone how terrible of a person Ethan is. Chad was useful still, he has no idea what he's talking about." His eyes lit up. "What if I was able to get evidence? Oh...that'd be good..."

Ethan: "The conditions are perfect," he explained. "Everyone knows already, so I lose nothing, and it keeps him a bit further from Madison now that he's more paranoid." He then sighed. "And now it's been a whole ten minutes and I'm scheming already again." He shook his head. "Fine. Today, I do nothing. I work my deal with Madison, but other than that, I just try and win."

At the girls' side of the Hen cabin, everyone was inside except for one person, who was in the doorway. "Isn't this so nice?" Sarah said with a calming sigh as she stared out at the flood. "A bit more inches and we're looking at a free pool to swim around in!" She looked in to see Angie relatively upset. "Is something wrong?" the swimmer asked.

The hothead threw a punch at a wall, groaning. "Sorry," Angie said as she shook off her hand. "I just feel like I took up the mantle of running this team in challenges, but we never win, and then people are going behind me on the votes." She looked at Madison. "You swapped to Chad last minute, clearly," she pointed out. "We could have gotten Jonathan if you kept your own vote."

Sarah came back inside and put a hand on Angie's shoulder, who was now slumped in the spot she punched the wall. "I'm sure she had her reasons," the swimmer argued calmly, letting Madison not have to respond. "But I think you're doing fine. The boys have been at odds, maybe they'll suddenly behave themselves today?"

Hannah groaned. "That's so stupid," she said to them. "I get I'm one to talk, now that I've blown two challenges. But I promise I'm here to play! As long as Juan is here, I'm ready to be here." Her confidence was not convincing to any of them. "Hey, at least I'm cooperating today. I can't get any pictures of my sun-kissed gorgeousness if there's no sun."

"Sure, whatever," Angie yielded. "I won't relent today then. Let's show those Bunnies what we can do." As she finished, Chef pulled up on a boat, with two large boats behind him. "Oh no," the hothead complained, "I'm gonna yell at something..."

"Get in a boat!" He pushed a boat toward the middle of the Bunny cabins, and then one to the middle of the Hen cabin. Sarah, without hesitation, jumped into the flood, grabbing the boat effortlessly and bringing it to each side of the cabins to load the team up. No one was as willing on the Bunny side, but eventually they all made it in. "Off to The Chasm," Chef told them, getting odd looks from the cast.

The campers were now all at what looked like a river. "That's a deep river," Kara pointed out to Chris and Chef, "I mean, like, I can't even see the bottom. Isn't that so weird?" She waited to get a reaction from the hosts, but neither of them looked convinced.

Chris cleared his throat to get everyone's attention. "Good morning, campers," he said with a laugh, getting no happy responses from the group. "Hope you all are enjoying our weather. We didn't pick it, so we're sort of improvising." Kara raised an eyebrow at that last sentence.

The host gestured to The Chasm, which was now completely filled with water. In it, there was multiple different obstacle course-looking objects including a wall, sweeper arms, and a giant iceberg, as well as a pool of mud in the middle of the water. "Welcome to our really easy obstacle course," Chris introduced. "Well, it was easy, but now we have water, and a lot of it, so now we're going to make this a bit more fun."

Chris got out eight sets of handcuffs. "You'll be doing this obstacle course in pairs, that are chosen semi-randomly. I pick four people on each team, and they all get a partner." Chris turned to the Bouncing Bunnies. "Bunnies, you have two extra players for this, so two of you get to sit out and you can be immune from a vote if you lose too."

Kayla's eyes lit up instantly. "I volunteer me and Paul!" she yelled out before Chris even had a chance to say anything else. "C'mon, it's an obstacle course, it can't be that hard for you all." She got a bunch of glares from her team, showing that they may not have been thrilled with that choice.

Chris nodded in approval. "Fine, sure, I don't care. Paul and Kayla, you two are outta here, have a seat on the logs over there." Paul and Kayla swam over to two logs that were sitting out of the water. "Now, our choosers." He turned to the Happy Hens first. "Hens, your choosers, in order, Juan, Ethan, Jonathan, Norm." The four boys looked very tensely at each other. "Bunnies, you can have Helio, Luna, Sheldon, and Randall." The four Bunnies seemed much happier than the Hens. "Choose your partner!"

Juan stepped forward first, Hannah looking very excited and eager to be his partner, but her face fell instantly as he walked right past her and held onto the arm of Sarah instead. The social media freak screamed as Ethan went next. "Well, Sarah was the best option for a water challenge..." he took a look behind him at Jonathan. "I pick...Madison."

"You can't do that!" Jonathan said with a shout. Everyone turned to him. The lover boy shook his head and regained his composure. "Whatever. Angie, let's go." The hothead looked less than pleased to be working with Jonathan. Hannah let out another sigh as she went over to Norm.

Hannah: "I can't believe Juany-Swanny just grabbed onto that girl's arm!" she exclaimed. "Sadie...Sasha...eh, I forget, non-popular people aren't really my thing." She flipped her hair. "I'll show them to regret their choice of picking me last!"

Without hesitation, Helio grabbed onto Daniel, throwing him on top of his shoulders like he did the day before. That put Luna up next. "All of you have so much to offer," the psychic pointed out. "But...certain victory is assured through...Flora." The pacifist looked surprised by the idea, but was happy to be picked.

Sheldon went next. "Most of the good options are gone," he muttered to himself. "I would have loved to counteract against my lacking physical prowess with a suitable athlete, but I will be forced to settle for Kara, I believe." The curious girl didn't care for his analysis of her. That left Randall and Alexa, who exchanged an odd glace at each other as Chris handed them the last pair of handcuffs.

"We have our teams then!" Chris announced. "Here's how the course works. If you beat the other team, you get a point for your team. But, if you get the fastest time of the day, your team gets an extra two points, which will pretty much guarantee you the win for the day!" The teams looked shocked at that scoring system. "That means all of you have to try today. Gee, it sure stinks that the Bunnies sat out their two most athletic players, huh?"

Paul elbowed Kayla in the arm, who simply sat there with a confident smirk. "The course is simple," Chris explained. "It's a four-leg race. First, over the giant wall, into the water, then climb out, and go through the sweeper alley, where you might want to watch your legs." He paused to laugh at that one. "Then, you wade through our floating mud puddle. Chef's real proud of pulling that off despite the rain." Chef grinned. "Finally, a dive under our iceberg obstacle will put you at the end of the race!"

"Line up!" Chris then called out. Juan and Sarah got together first, the two standing next to each other oddly, with one cuff around Juan's wrist and the other around Sarah's ankle. Helio had one arm up to keep Daniel attached as he sat on top. "You two are earning the first point for your team, and the first to get the two point bonus. Who ever wins this will be up by three." Sarah got into a starting position, leaving a confused Juan. "And...go!"

Sarah threw herself into the water instantly, leaving Juan to fall in promptly after, gasping for air as he was thrown about their way to the wall. Helio kept pace with Sarah, but the two together were unable to keep up with the ace swimmer. Sarah and Juan were the first to get to the wall. Sarah began climbing as Juan followed behind her, gasping for air still. "Finalmente! Aire..." he muttered in relief once he got a chance, but as soon as they were up the wall, Sarah dove back in and sent him under again.

Helio and Daniel made up to them through the wall as Helio had just jumped over the entire thing like it was nothing. Sarah continued the cycle of constantly regaining her lead once they got to an obstacle and losing it as Helio bruised through the second obstacle, not even fazed by the sweeper arms on his legs. "We need fast move," Helio called out as they made it to the mud puddle, but they ended up losing their lead even more since Sarah swam through it like it was nothing.

Once the two Hens popped out from the mud puddle, Juan began gasping again. "One more to go!" Sarah cheered, beginning to swim under, dragging Juan with her. The two made quick work of the iceberg, and made it to the other side. "Yes!" the swimmer cheered, "We did it!" Juan was almost ready to pass out. "Oh, right, forgot you were attached to me."

Sarah: "Juan was light enough, I imagined him like drag, and just let myself not be put down by my speed going down. But, I crushed that, and my team will thank me I'm sure," the swimmer said with a huge grin.

"Sarah crushes the first round!" Chris announced. "With a killer time of a minute and forty five seconds, the Happy Hens look unbeatable from the start!" Sarah looked pleased with herself, as Juan was still getting water our of his ears. "Up next, we'll have Ethan and Madison versus Luna and Flora!" Jonathan looked angry that the race was even happening.

Flora turned to Luna, the two cuffed by the wrists. "I would like to win," Flora told the psychic, "but I want to win without stooping to cheating. Please do not teleport us during this race." Luna refused to respond. "Luna?" The psychic shrugged again, ignoring Flora.

Madison and Ethan had a different plan in mind. "Let's move together," Ethan instructed the hopeless introvert. "If we do everything at the exact same time, we're effectively doubling our strength at any point." He turned to her. "Just stay in sync." Madison nodded, seeming pretty confident in the plan they had made.

Chris rang the air horn, and the two pairs jumped in the water to get over the wall. Madison and Ethan were moving their arms in perfect sync as they climbed over the wall, leaving Flora and Luna stuck at the bottom. "Well, here's your wish," Luna said with a sigh. "We're going to lose if you don't let me." She made her eyes grow a bit green. "I need your consent, please." Flora continued to hesitate.

Meanwhile, Ethan and Madison had reached the second obstacle. "Jump at the same time as me, we both go down if one of us gets hit." He then got an idea. The anti-villain grabbed onto Madison's hand, causing her to blush furiously. "When you feel me jump, jump too." The two began jumping in perfect sync again, and got through the sweepers without issue.

As the two made it through the mud puddle, Luna and Flora were still stuck at the wall, so they weren't able to get over it. "This is going to fail for us," Luna argued to the pacifist. "Don't you want to win? If you're the reason we lose today, and that we almost lost yesterday, you might be on the chopping block, I don't want that." Flora looked more and more uneasy.

The other duo was now reaching the final obstacle. "Just one more to go," Ethan noted. "We weren't as fast as Sarah, but that means we still have the lead, and it'll be nearly impossible to beat us." The two began diving under the iceberg, keeping perfect pace with each other as they moved through the depths.

Luna was growing more frustrated. "Okay, I'm done asking nicely," the psychic said, "I want us to at least have a chance." She grabbed onto Flora. "You're going to feel like you're being thrown upward." The two then teleported all the way to the finish, where Flora looked very dizzy from the first time teleporting. "You'll feel better in like, 10 minutes," Luna assured her. "...sorry."

Chris blinked a few times to check the results and make sure his eyes weren't playing tricks on him. "Uh...alright. I guess I forgot to ban that. Luna and Flora win round two! Their time isn't the best, but it's still a win. Bunnies are on the board now! Get ready for round three coming up!" Ethan and Madison looked upset at their loss. Off to the side, Jonathan looked angry.

Jonathan: "I'm not mad they lost," he said with a huff. "Luna teleported, there was nothing we could have done. I am upset at how well those two work together. That should have been me in perfect sync with Madison!"

"Round three," Chris announced, "is going to be Jonathan and Angie versus Kara and Sheldon! Get cuffed up and lined up at the start!" Sheldon put their handcuffs on each teammate's wrist, while Jonathan and Angie did the same, just a bit more begrudgingly. "The Bunnies could really use a win here. Ready...go!" The air horn went off, and the teams started.

"Don't even think about throwing," Angie yelled at Jonathan as they jumped to the water and swam to the wall. As they climbed out of the water and started climbing the wall, Angie continued. "I can tell you're angry, and I don't really care why, but whatever you're angry about can't be as much as I'm angry we haven't won yet."

Jonathan groaned as the two made it up the wall. "Of course I'm not going to throw," Jonathan assured her. "We've lost twice now, a third time will just keep us from winning ever again." He glanced behind them. "They haven't moved yet. That's weird." With a shrug, the two continued moving toward the next obstacle.

Back at the front, Kara was just standing there, spacing out. "Something looks very wrong," she said glancing at the sky. "Is it more curved than normal? What's our elevation here?" Meanwhile, Sheldon was tugging on the cuffs, but his weakness combined with Kara's current alertness made the curious girl simply not feel it.

Sheldon yanked harder, finally getting the Kara's attention. "They other team left millennia ago. We need to make haste!" Kara snapped out of it, and the two got moving, a bit slower than Angie and Jonathan were moving. They struggled up the wall, neither having super great physical strength. Both were out of breath by the time they were at the top. "Perhaps...we should not have exiled...our best physical attributes..." Sheldon muttered as he looked right at Kayla.

Kara froze at the top, as Sheldon was trying to pull her along again. "It's kinda high..." she said as she shuddered, looking down at the jump from the top of the wall to the water. "I mean, not that high...just...ugh..." Sheldon groaned again as his teammate was frozen in place. "Sorry," she said to Sheldon, "I'm really messing this one up."

Sheldon looked ahead at where Jonathan and Angie were at. "I suppose it's for the best," he relented, seeing them at the iceberg obstacle already. "Success was denied from the start when you froze up looking at the abnormal sky. Kara gasped. "Of course I've noticed," Sheldon bragged, "I know what's going on, but I wouldn't dare spoil your personal enlightenment." Kara didn't like that answer.

"And that does it!" Chris announced, as Angie and Jonathan pulled themselves to the end. "The Happy Hens are now up four to one, but Sarah's time stays on top! A win from Alexa and Randall can get the Bouncing Bunnies a win!" Kara looked disappointed in her own performance, while Sheldon was angry at the curious girl. Kayla and Paul noticed this as they sat to the side.

Kayla: "Crap...Kara might be being set up," she grimaced. "Okay, no matter. It doesn't matter who's on the bottom with him, as long as Sheldon goes, and since he failed big time today, he'll be ripe for the picking. I just need to get that notepad."

Kayla let out a yawn. "This is exhausting, and you're not much for conversation," she told Paul. "I'm gonna go take a page out of Alexa's book and sleep in the cabin." Paul glared at her. "What? We're immune. Anyway, let me know how they do." Kayla ran off to the cabins, hoping to get some time to herself to grab what she needed.

Chris called out for the final round. "Our last round is Norm and Hannah against Alexa and Randall. The Bouncing Bunnies really need to make a comeback for the win here. Let's see if they can pull it off!" He rang the air horn once they were set up. "Go!"

To everyone's surprise, Alexa and Randall were moving. "Wait, is she actually good?" Angie asked in shock as Alexa looked to be trying. Norm and Hannah were behind them, trying to catch up. When they got to the wall, Alexa and Randall were flying up it, thanks to Randall's climbing ability. "Oh my gosh," Angie said with a groan, "we're going to get beaten...again." She let out a yell.

Randall seemed surprised. "I thought you hated putting in work," he said to Alexa as the two made it to the second obstacle, where they were running forward through all the sweepers. Alexa was swiftly dodging everything, while Randall was jumping high enough to dodge multiple sweepers at once.

The underachiever shook her head. "Oh, this stinks, but I'm not about to get voted off because I was too lazy. The bare minimum has now become beating that swimmer girl's time. So, this is me...trying." The two jumped right into the mud pit, way ahead of Sarah and Juan's time.

Jonathan huffed. "Well, I'm not going to sit here and let them win," he complained, watching the rest of his team sit there. He made it over to Chris. After waiting a second, he yelled out, "yes! They past the time! We win!" Chris looked really confused at what Jonathan was doing.

Randall turned back at the last second. "What? I didn't think-" Randall noticed Chris's confused expression. "It was a trick, keep going!" Alexa and Randall went under the iceberg as fast as they could, but when they got up to the surface, it was over the time they needed to get. Norm and Hannah didn't even bother finishing due to the other team finishing. "Oh no..." Randall said.

Chris rang the air horn again. "Thanks to some quick thinking with Jonathan, the Happy Hens keep the fastest time points, bringing the score from four to one to four to two. The Happy Hens win their first challenge!" The Hens all cheered, very excited to have a win. Angie looked relieved, as did Ethan. Jonathan beamed to himself as he saw their cheers.

Jonathan: "Did you see that?" he boasted, "I just took out an entire team with one sentence. Imagine what will happen when I get the evidence I need on Ethan." He laughed. "I so have this game in the bag."

As the Bouncing Bunnies were returning to their campsite, Kara still looked upset. "I'm really sorry, everyone," she pleaded again. "I hope you can forgive me for such a blunder." She didn't get any responses, but Flora smiled at her, which she took as a good sign. The curious girl looked around her team. "Has anyone seen Kayla?"

At that moment, Kayla burst out of the cabin doors from the boys' side. "I got you!" Kayla yelled at Sheldon, holding his notepad in her hand. Sheldon did not see the giant issue with this. "Look at this," she called out, "he's been 'doodling' in his notepad as Paul defended, but he actually wrote out who's getting eliminated every day until the finale, with him winning! He's plotting our demise."

"Nonsense," Sheldon defended. "That is not what it is. I am merely making predictions based on challenge proficiency and ability to dodge eliminations." He grinned. "You should be flattered. Seventh place is very respectable."

Kayla started to cackle. "Yeah, okay, and it says you're the last person standing. How stupid is that?" She threw the notepad down and stomped on it. "I've said my piece. Let's let elimination decide which one of us goes. Oh, wait. I'm immune."

As Kayla walked off, Paul gritted his teeth. "Yeah, today," he pointed out. "A big play like that is going to get you sent home next time we lose, which could be tomorrow." He sighed. "Sorry, Pencil," he told Sheldon, "I'll try my best to save you, but I never make any promises."

Paul: "Kayla may be immune, but Kara isn't, and she blew it today. I might have a way to save Pencil after all." He sighed. "I need to solve that riddle and get that idol, it could really help me out."

Kayla: "Paul is immune today, but his little buddy is gone today. I'll weaken him before I put him in the dirt." She laughed. "I didn't get myself eliminated with that play. Now they just know they need to fear me."

ELIMINATION III, BOUNCING BUNNIES

The ten Bunnies walked all the way up Mount Karon to the bonfire, where they were greeted by Chris and Chef, the cook holding nine marshmallows. "Have a seat," Chris instructed. The front five were Kayla, Kara, Alexa, Randall, and Paul. The back five were Luna, Sheldon, Daniel, Helio, and Flora. "You all blew your first challenge today, and luckily it was a collective failure.

No one looked like they had anything to say. The team was all very tense at the moment. "All right, let's get into it. Paul, Kayla, you two sat out and probably could have helped out, but because of your selfishness, you two are safe." Two marshmallows went to Paul and Kayla, as well as some unhappy looks from the others. "Also safe today, Flora and Luna, who got you all a point." Luna gladly caught the marshmallow, while, Flora looked a bit apprehensive.

There were now only five marshmallows left. "Only five to go, but it won't be Helio or Daniel." The boys got their marshmallows and smiled at each other, happy to still be in the game. "Alexa, you're also safe." The underachiever caught the marshmallow before dozing off for the rest of it. "That leaves two marshmallows and three people," Chris said.

The host looked at Kara first. "Kara you let your fear of heights and curiosity freeze you up and cost your team a much needed point." Kara sighed heavily. "Randall, you listened to Jonathan? Really? That cost the fastest time points and the challenge. And...Sheldon. You have to understand that a chart predicting every elimination looks very suspicious." Sheldon shook his head to disagree. "...Randall, you're safe." Randall sighed as he got his marshmallow.

There was now only one marshmallow left. Chris held it up in the air. "Kara, Sheldon, only one marshmallow remains. One of you is getting to stay, and one of you is getting to be launched into the sky where we might find you after if we remember." Both people looked really nervous. "This one was close, but tonight the loser is going to be...

...Sheldon!" Chris threw the final marshmallow at Kara at a faster than normal speed, causing her to get hit in the head with it. Sheldon looked shocked that he ended up losing. Paul shot Kayla a glare as the brat smirked. "Can't say this was a shocker to anyone but you, kid."

Sheldon looked angry. "I'm the smartest person here! I could have been such an asset to you!" He huffed. "Whatever. I'll see that you all regret that choice, especially you." He looked right at Kayla. "Seventh. No higher." He then made his way to the Launch of Shame, leaving behind a very weirded out Kayla.

Chris shrugged. "It's always the smart ones that have something awful to say at the end," Chris said with a sigh. He pressed the button, sending Sheldon out of the game. "Eh, good riddance," the host said as he and Chef left the Bunnies by themselves.

Kayla: "Eh, I made a few enemies today," she claimed, "but seeing how that vote went, I have more friends than I do foes. They better watch themselves."

Chris and Chef were now at the island's dock, where the water had suddenly returned to a normal level, leaving no trace of the flood. "Yeowch. Paul's gonna be mad about that one. Will Kayla be punished for her attitude and snooping? Can the Bunnies remember how to win? And what somehow 'suspicious' thing will I do to get questioned tomorrow?" Find out next time, on Total! Drama! Karon Island!

Vote Confessionals:

Alexa: "I'd rather avoid picking people who messed up challenges, since I probably will too. Sorry, Sheldon."

Daniel: "Tough call. I think everyone's going with Kara? I can't tell. I'll vote Kara."

Flora: "It pains me to see this team turn against itself. I refuse to vote for anyone."

Helio: "Puny boy need go."

Kara: "I don't really approve of her method, but I need to thank Kayla for saving me. Bye, Sheldon."

Kayla: "That went well. See ya, Pencil."

Luna: "I respect Sheldon too much, as well as predictions too much. I'll vote Kara for losing us that point."

Paul: "Pencil needs to stay, we don't have any brains on this team. I'll weaken Kayla by voting out her sister."

Randall: "If Kara stays, then she's the next person to go. I'll need that. Sorry, Sheldon."

Sheldon: "Preposterous accusations lead to failure. Speaking of failure, I vote Kara."

Total: Sheldon (5), Kara (4), no vote (1)

Eliminated: Sheldon

Team Standings:

Bouncing Bunnies: Alexa, Daniel, Flora, Helio, Kara, Kayla, Luna, Paul, Randall

Happy Hens: Angie, Ethan, Hannah, Jonathan, Juan, Madison, Norm, Sarah

Eliminated: Gretchen, Chad, Sheldon

When I read through the old version of this chapter, it took me three tries to figure out the rules. That's literally just bad challenge design. But, I think I restored it to a point system that made more sense. Plus, I made it so people had motivation to play after Sarah went. Let's look at some of the other big changes:

- Luna and Flora's team. Flora was forced to cheat by Luna this time, instead of Luna also giving up at the wall. This led to their win against Madison and Ethan.

- Sheldon's chart was not found until after the challenge this time. Kayla used her time off to make something happen, and the flood at the beginning also stops proper team interactions, so the chart would have been safe anyway.

- The Bunny vote: Kara was moved to the bottom two this time, and her failure in the challenge was more apparent too. It felt more important to Paul and Kayla's rivalry that way. Also to note, Flora also doesn't vote now. This is the closest Bunny vote in the series, and Flora not voting actually made this easier.

Not a ton changing here, just making the challenge more cohesive. That'll be a big theme, because last time I never even wrote out how the challenge worked, and I'm sure it happens again. What did you think of this version of The Aqua-stacle Course? Sorry Sheldon fans (which there's apparently a ton of), but his loss here is crucial to his Submerged development that makes him, well, him. Anyway, leave a review please, and I'll catch you next time!
