Chapter 2: Suspect: Jason Voorhees

After Calling the police, and informing them of her mother's murder, Carrie White was found by them, who then took her down to the local police station for questioning about the incident. The police also called paramedics to see the extent of Margaret's injuries, and see if she could be saved… but unfortunately, The Police were informed that Margaret White could not be saved, the extent of her injuries were fatal…

Carrie was sitting in an office, with her head down in tears, after the police informed her that her mother had died, although Carrie already knew, from the moment she got out of the prayer closet. Despite knowing Carrie was the only person in the house with her mother, they were not convinced that she was the attacker, after finding no DNA of Carrie on Margaret's body, not to mention a smashed back door, and muddy & bloody boot prints, proving that someone else had broken into the house and murdered Margaret. On top of all that, the body of the boy who mocked Carrie earlier, he too had been found brutally hacked and bleeding slashed up dead too…

As Carrie kept her head down, she then looked up, at the sound of the office door opening, as a female police officer, with long blonde hair, & the name: 'Shepard' on her badge came in, to check up on Carrie, as well as ask more about the attacker…

"Hi Carrie…" Officer Shepard said to Carrie, who gave a shy look. "It's ok sweetheart, no need to be frightened. I am sorry about your mother…"

"It's ok… Miss Shepard…" Carrie replied in a snuffle.

"Call me Tina. Carrie, I need to ask you, this man that killed your mother, what did he look like?" Tina asked Carrie, while trying to keep him calm.

"I… I don't really know how to describe him… He was wearing really rotted clothes… He had a mask on… and he was wielding a machete…" Carrie replied nervously, as Tina also felt a familiar feeling she'd felt before…

"What kind of mask?" Tina asked nervously herself.

"It… It looked like one of those old vintage Hockey masks." Carrie replied, as Tina suddenly knew Who Margaret White's killer was… "Are you ok? Tina?"

(Memories of Jason's Rampage from 1988 replay through Tina's mind…)

"I know I shouldn't tell you about this Carrie… But I think I know who that man who murdered your mother is…" Tina said with fear… "His name was Jason Voorhees…"

"Jason Voorhees?" Carrie replied in a puzzled tone…

"He's a legendary mass murderer, who kills people, but cannot be killed himself…But I don't understand how he could be over here, he only appears on Camp Crystal Lake in New Jersey…" Tina replied with fear still.

"How do you know all this Tina?" Carrie replied nervously.

"I encountered him at Crystal lake many years ago when I was your age… He killed nearly everyone else who was there with me, including my mother too…" Tina replied and explained, as the room started shaking.

Carrie looked around, before realizing it was not an earthquake, or even her… It was Tina…

"Oh my God…" Carrie gasped.

"I'm sorry Carrie, I don't think you should have seen that…" Tina replied nervously.

"You have them too?" Carrie asked in shock and concern.

"What do you mean Carrie?" Tina asked in concern back.

Carrie did not reply, instead, she used her powers to flicker the lights in the office, as Tina realized, whatever powers she had, Carrie had them too, leaving Tina in surprise, just as a male officer came in, with the name: 'Jarvis' on his badge.

"Is everything ok Tina?" Officer Jarvis asked Tina…

"Tommy, Me & Carrie White think we may have Identified & know who murdered her mother…" Tina replied, as Tommy closed the door behind him… "It's Jason… Jason Voorhees…"

(Tommy remembers from when he killed Jason as a 12-year-old, to when he accidently brought Jason back from the dead years ago…)

"Oh God… Are you absolutely sure it was him?" Tommy asked in fear…

"Carrie confirmed the attacker was wearing Jason's well-known attire, especially the Hockey Mask…" Tina replied with fear again.

"Damn it… We better keep extra eyes for when he shows up again, it was bad enough at Crystal Lake, but in a town like this, he's bound to create a bigger body count…" Tommy said with fear and anger…

All this talk of Jason Voorhees had made Carrie extremely worried, as Tommy & Tina then tried to keep themselves and Carrie calm…

"Carrie, do you have any other relatives here? Or someone who you think will look after you?" Tina asked the shy and worried Telekinetic teen.

"I… I do not have any family here… Can you call Miss Rita Desjardin?" Carrie replied nervously.

"Rita Desjardin. How do you know this person Carrie?" Tommy asked.

"She's my school gym teacher." Carrie replied, still in a shy tone, before Tommy left to find Rita's details and call her…

(Sometime later…)

After Rita was called from the police station, informing them Carrie was there, Rita wasted no time and drove down to the police station, where Tommy was waiting for her outside, as she pulled up…

Tommy then took Rita to Carrie, where she was still with Tina…

"Oh God Carrie!" Rita Called, as she grabbed and hugged Carrie, as Carrie cried into her. "Thanks for calling me, what happened to her?"

"Carrie called us, telling us that her mother had been brutally murdered." Tommy replied.

"What?! What kind of sick bastard would do something like that?" Rita then growled while stroking Carrie's hair.

"We have belief from Carrie's description of the suspect, it was Jason Voorhees…" Tina replied.

"Jason Voorhees? You must be joking, Jason Voorhees isn't real, he's just a Camp Crystal Lake ghost story, and besides, why would he come here?" Rita asked in disbelief…

"We're trying to figure that out, but from what Carrie described of her mother's assailant, this seems too authentic to be another Jason copycat…" Tommy replied, trying to get Miss Desjardin to understand… "we'll call you when we have more evidence of updates on what we can find…"

"Thank you." Rita replied, as she and Carrie were escorted out of the police station…

(Later that night, at Miss Desjardin's home…)

Rita was comforting Carrie, it was bad enough Carrie was treated badly by nearly everyone at school, but then her mother getting murdered by a supposedly legendary killer, from another part of the USA, felt enough to put her sanity over the edge… Although Carrie was devastated to have seen her mother's murder, she was also curious: Who was this Jason Voorhees? What was he doing here in Chamberlain? Why did he kill her mother? Why did he even let Carrie live?

"How are you feeling Carrie?" Rita asked her student, who was still in shock, but curious and confused…

"Miss Desjardin… I know I should not be asking you this… But who is Jason Voorhees?" Carrie asked nervously.

"Carrie, I don't think now is a good time to be asking about who supposedly killed your mother, I understand you're in shock…" Rita said to keep Carrie calm, but Carrie needed to know… "Ok… Jason Voorhees was a young boy who drowned at Camp Crystal Lake in 1957, he was only 11 years old… The Camp counselors had neglected him, they weren't watching him when they should have been… the following years later, those camp counselors, along with several others, were then all murdered on numerous occasions to reopen the camp…"

"Jason?" Carrie asked in worry.

"Not Jason at first, the first killer was revealed to be Jason's mother: Pamela Voorhees… she had gone insane from learning of her son's death, she knew the counselors had let her and Jason down, so she killed them all, to avenge her son, but also hoping to keep the campsite closed for good… but in 1979, one counselor managed to survive and behead Pamela with own machete… But even though Pamela was now dead, the murders still did not stop… the Locals believed Jason had somehow come back from the grave, on numerous occasions, to punish and kill anyone who dared set foot on Crystal Lake again…" Rita continued, trying not to frighten Carrie…

"Oh God…" Carrie squeaked with worry… "I don't know if I'm gonna be able to sleep tonight…"

"I understand Carrie, if you have any nightmares, just come and get me, I'll look after you, I promise." Rita said to comfort Carrie again.

(Later…)

Carrie was asleep in Rita's spare bedroom… But as Carrie slept…

(In Carrie's dream…)

Carrie found herself in the prayer closet again, just as she heard her mother screaming outside… But as Carrie ran out of the closet… everything looked normal…no blood… no sign of Jason either…

"Carrie!" Margaret called, as Carrie turned to see her…

There was Margaret White, but covered in blood and stab wounds, from when Jason attacked her…

"MAMA!" Carrie said, almost screaming…

"Are you gonna let that Jason Voorhees get away for what he's done to me?! What that Hockey-puck has done to several others besides me?!" Margaret growled with anger.

"What can I do Mama? How can I stop or kill someone that is already dead?" Carrie cried back…

"You will surely find out soon… Bitch!" A woman's voice then said, as Carrie saw a strange figure appeared, as Margaret disappeared, shocking her.

The Figure revealed to be a woman, not as tall as Jason, who's skin was completely burnt, making him look like he spawned from a mutated, rotted and teeth in her wicked smile. He wore a dark brown hair, a clothes and pants, charcoal gray trousers, and black boots, but on his right hand, he had a tan work glove, with metal plating and long and sharp razor blades on the fingers, as he scrapped the blades along some the wall, as Carrie heard a strange lullaby being heard by children skipping with a skipping rope…

"1, 2, Jason's coming for you…

3, 4, Better Lock your door…

5, 6, Grab your Crucifix…

7, 8, Gonna stay up late…

9, 10, Never Sleep again…"

"What do you want from me?!" Carrie asked nervously…

"Simple Carrie, you have powers, you can use them to stop Jason, all I want is payback on him, for turning against me, and making me lose everything!" The woman replied, as she pointed at Carrie. "If you get rid of my son, I will help reunite you with your mother…"

"How? Who are you?" Carrie asked nervously again but with confusion too…

"Be patient, my child… Your time will come! I am Pamela Voorhees!" Pamela replied, as she knifed an evil laugh at Carrie…

(Dream ends…)

Carrie then shot up from her nightmare, seeing she was still in Miss Desjardin's spare bedroom, and it was morning. Carrie then noticed her arm hurt… then looked, to find 4 thin scratch marks, almost bleeding, like from a razor sharp… Like as if it were Pamela… Or was it real?

"Pamela Voorhees." Carrie replied, as she was shocked.
