A breezy wind is cooling her down.
The sea is moving forwards and backwards as the sand is being washed up by the sea itself.
No one knows what fate is holding up to the point that there's no point in saving him.
"Hey, are you okay?"
She ignored that voice, even some fruits and fish are left untouched with that girl lying on the beach like she's dead.
"Mmgh! I need to know what's going on! You've been quiet for months!"
What that fairy-like companion said is true, a girl never speaks after what she had been through as her empty eyes slowly move towards said companion.
Then she speaks out. "Brother…"
"Again with your brother. You said his name every time I asked you. Paimon doesn't understand what's happening to you, but Paimon is worried about you."
The companion is right, even though she'd rather die than losing her brother again.
How would her brother feel if he lost his sister?
What her companion understands is that the girl's eyes meant that something had happened to her in the past is why the companion wanted to help the girl.
Before the companion leaves by hanging her head down, a soft and raspy voice calls her out.
"Paimon…"
"Hm?"
"Do you believe in fate?"
The companion fairy had food for thought about what her traveller friend was talking about.
So she needs to answer in order for the traveller to get on her feet.
"Well… Fate is like a tree. You know, where branches grow, meaning there's many paths. Think of a parallel universe, except it's a route to where your end goal is. The fruits on it are the endings regardless if you did some good and bad deeds and the leaves are the stairs to a different branch. The best fruit is difficult to find and that's the true ending. But Paimon doesn't know if fate is believable."
"So in other words, there's a chance?" The girl asks by sitting up and eye on her companion.
"I mean from what I can tell, you're about to make sure to save the ones you loved. If so, then Paimon can help!"
"Heh. Really now?" The girl's smiles bitterly, realising that her companion is about to be useful for her to face her challenge.
"Yeah! We can do this together! Maybe we can go to Mondstadt and ask for some help!"
While the girl refuses to ask for help, maybe there's no other choice but to go to a place that her companion knows.
Before they take a stroll, a companion stops the girl.
"But first, your name!"
"Huh?"
"Yeah, considering my name is Paimon! Now tell me your name, young lady!"
The girl clicks her tongue and then opens her mouth by answering reluctantly.
"Lumine. My name is Lumine." Lumine answered.
"Well, Lumine! Let's go!" Paimon cheered while flying forwards and was being followed by Lumine.
In the end, both Lumine and Paimon are heading towards Mondstadt together after their slow meeting.
Galesong Hill, Windrise
Windrise, the place where wind rises.
The breeze is even cooler than earlier and the animal-like creatures are roaming around as well as avoiding heavy footsteps.
Speaking of footsteps, a brunette is rushing as well as gliding down while being chased by a bunch of black goblin-like creatures in masks known as Hilichurls.
While the brunette drops her puppet, the puppet ends up being booted away by a Hilichurl unfortunately.
"What's going on with these guys!? I thought they're easier than that!" A girl exclaimed.
Not only they turned out to be tougher, but they're also feral to the point of trying to capture the girl who runs, glides and sets up traps.
But none of it worked.
To her surprise, the Hiluchurl are smarter than that and they're swinging their clubs which misses.
"Hah! Eh!?"
Before she makes a halt, a club eventually smacks her head as the girl crashes down on the ground.
She then grunts as one hand is pushing her head down to the ground.
"Ngh! No way… It never happened before… Are they, no… Something is wrong." The girl can tell by their behaviour and what their movements are.
Are they going to kill her? Sexually assaulting her? Kidnapping her?
Before the girl closes her eyes while grunting, footsteps are incoming which is rustling the grass and the ground.
And the footsteps are coming from a cloak.
"Paimon, this girl is from Mondstadt, correct?"
"Yeah. Judging by her appearance, this girl is an outrider from Mondstadt." Paimon answered while coming out of a cloak.
"Good." Under the cloak is a smugly grin as the cloaked one is approaching the Hilichurls.
Before a Hilichurl swings its club, the Hilichurl unfortunately loses the bottom half of its torso and its arm to an invisible slash, spraying blood onto an unmoved cloaked one.
What's coming out of a cloak is a puppet that used to be kicked by a Hilichurl.
"So, are you Amber?" The cloaked one asked.
"What? How did you know my n- Oh."
Little did Amber know that her puppet has a label that says 'Property of Amber' which had her surprised to visit a mysterious figure.
Both Hilichurls are yelling while rushing towards a bloodstained cloak.
"Watch out!" Amber shouted.
A cloaked figure chucks an Amber puppet at the one near Amber and then…
BOOM! An explosion occurred, vaporising a Hilichurl while setting free Amber.
Coming out of a cloak, both swords are raised by a cloaked girl while blocking both clubs, the cloaked girl plays her trump card by releasing one sword by letting a single Hilichurl fall past her and then swings her other sword by cross cutting the other one's chest and finally stabbing the cross.
What a mess. All over her face and her cloak, the blood still stains.
The last Hilichurl screamed as it ran off, causing the cloak to zoom away from Amber.
While dashing forward, a cloak had come across Paimon who was flying next to her as fast as she could.
"Paimon, what's the solution before he reaches his camp?"
"As far as Paimon could tell, you can run up the mountain and dive down at the monster!" Paimon answered.
Then a cloaked girl smirks while leaping in a steep part, dashing up the hill and finally leaping from the ledge.
While diving, the girl clenches her sword and swings it downwards with that cold glare she made.
"I got you."
Finally, a splash of blood is creating a trail, causing a cloaked one to slash it down and hammer it repeatedly with her sword as if she's killing it in cold blood.
While done, a bloodstained cloak had dropped its hood, revealing a blonde haired girl with golden eyes and her pale skin, Lumine.
Luimine raises her head as the wind blows, showing off her bloodstained face while licking her lips.
"It's over. Now let's go." Sighed Lumine.
Then she stops as she hears Amber incoming, leading her to raise her head and tilt it.
"Ah… Are you okay?" Lumine asks in an unsettling tone, causing Amber to shriek.
"HII! Y- Yeah! I'm alright!" Amber tries to be positive while smiling with excitement. "That was awesome back there! I have never seen someone fight like a badass!"
"I know, right!? Lumine has some skill, even when she goes around… Killing her enemies… Oh boy." Paimon slows down while her smile fades into shock, knowing how she was excited for a bloodthirsty traveller like Lumine.
"Really!? That's so cool!" Amber's eyes sparkled with excitement which caused Lumine to cringe over it.
Although, Lumine only speaks when necessary, meaning she usually stays silent and focused.
"So you and Paimon are together?" Amber asks about Lumine and Paimon's relationship together.
"Well, yeah! We've been friends for months and Lumine is having a hard time communicating with others, she prefers some quiet time!" Said Paimon.
Lumine then moves forward towards a town as it surprises Amber.
"Wait! You're going to Mondstadt too?" Amber is curious.
Lumine halts with surprise and then nods while admitting to going to Mondstadt.
"Sweet! Except you know my name, what about you?" Amber asked.
"L- Lumine…" Lumine slowly answers her name as she flusters.
Amber couldn't tell if that's her name or not, leading her to be puzzled.
"Lumine? Doesn't sound like a usual name, what about you little fairy?"
"Me? I'm Paimon, and I'm helping her for whatever reason." Paimon introduces herself proudly.
To Amber, these two are just passersby that saved her life from her imminent doom by the Hilichurls.
"Tell ya what, maybe you two can stay at my place for the night!" Amber claps, offering some hospitality for Lumine and Paimon.
"Really!? That's great! Did you hear that, Lumine!?" Paimone excitedly asks.
But to Lumine: it's a waste of her time.
"So you don't want to? Really!? As far as Paimon knows, you've been camping for months and sometimes you HADN'T slept in a tent!" Paimon ranted as it surprised Lumine to hear what Paimon said.
"Huh!? You got nowhere to sleep!?" Amber exclaimed.
Lumine growls.
"Don't you growl at me, young lady! Just find a place to sleep so we can eat and shower!" Paimon moans while lying in the air.
Ever since Lumine found Paimon, she knew what's going to happen and Amber is just being nice, even though Paimon is worried about Lumine's wellbeing.
In the end, she had no choice.
"Fine…"
Amber cheers. "Alright! Onward to Mondstadt, the City of Freedom!"
While Paimon cheers, Lumine groans while hanging her head.
"Hold it! You need to clean yourself up." Amber calls out to Lumine about her appearance.
"Why?" Lumine raises an eyebrow out of confusion.
"Because I can't have you arriving covered in blood, people might think you're a serial killer."
"Yeah… She got you there." Paimon agreed.
"Great… Fine, I'll find a lake." Lumine groans again, but this time it's washing herself.
Finally, Lumine has an ally that'll help her and let her stay for the night, despite not wanting one.
Once she's finished washing herself and her clothes, she'll make her way towards her destination, which is Mondstadt.
