So this premise was originally created by VeryUnknown and the concept was actually a decent idea. I mean, getting to hear what happened off-screen and how the Total Drama contestants lived on for their lives? That's prime material right there. However, I felt I could try my own little spin on this concept since this type of story has room for all sorts of headcanons. I am not trying to steal his story idea, but I want to do it my own way. Since the reboot is out by now, it feels like a good idea. I'm going by boot order for each generation so first up we have Noah. I'm debating on whether to do Ezekiel or not and I'm counting rejoins when it comes to eliminationsso Eva will be later down the line.
It's been fifteen years since Total Drama has ended. Rumors were going on about a reboot in the works but they had yet to be finalized, either way, Total Drama seemed to be a thing of the past for now…
Or at least it would be if Celebrity Manhunt had not been so greedy and fame hungry. Total Drama was one of the most popular reality shows in the world and they just needed the dirt on what happened during the show and behind the scenes so as such, they scheduled many interviews with the cast. They decided to go by boot order so right now, Noah was in the waiting room, waiting for his cue to be interviewed. Since he was bored, he turned to his book for entertainment. Until he was finally called to the interview room where Josh was waiting for him.
"Ah Noah. So glad you could join us for this interview." Josh smiled at the Know It All.
"How touching. I don't share the same sentiments."
Noah rolled his eyes, "I don't exactly have the best experiences with this show."
"That's understandable I suppose." Josh shrugged, not bothering to let Noah's rudeness get him down, "So here's how this is going to work. We'll be going in boot order with everyone in your generation and once that's done, we move onto the World Tour newbies? That cool with you?"
"Whatever." Noah rolled his eyes, not caring either way before a screen lowered down to show a picture of Ezekiel.
"First is Ezekiel." Josh said happily, "Is there any background knowledge you have on him?"
"Not really. I just ignored him all the time since he was annoying." Noah shrugged which seemed to dissatisfy Josh since he wanted the review to be more spicy but there were plenty of contestants to go through.
"Next up is Justin, I recall you saying that he was the 'anti-you' once. Care to explain?" Josh began with a smirk indicating he wanted as much drama as possible.
"I called him that because that's basically what he is. He's lazy narcissistic menace who only relies on his looks to get his way in life. The show wanted Justin to be seen as a mute pretty boy in the first season so they never really showed any petty squabbles we might have had in the first challenge because we did share some blows when he got on my case for being lazy with building but yet he was hardly lifting a muscle at times. After that was the confrontation in the special we shared but we don't interact much after that. Unless we're with Owen, we don't talk much. He's not as bad as he used to be, but I don't like him." Noah explained with dry annoyance.
"I was hoping for some more ammo, but oh well." Josh sighed before a picture of Katie popped up, "So you interacted a bit with her and Sadie back at the final five episode, anything to go off of there?"
"We were just sitting together at the pool bar when we were being filmed, that's it. We didn't speak much after that. Same goes with her bff Sadie. They are irrelevant today." Noah briefly summarized.
"Kinda expected that to be honest." Josh shrugged before a picture of Tyler was shown on the screen next, "You two were on opposing teams in Island but sat out in Action and definitely were on the same team in World Tour, you had to have interacted more often there."
"Tyler's an interesting case." Noah pondered a bit as he spoke.
"We did share a brief interaction in Action's filming since he wouldn't stop complaining about Lindsay flirting with Justin. I was a lot less sympathetic than I am now and he was doing it excessively so I sarcastically remarked that he should probably gain more memorable attributes so Lindsay will be able to acknowledge him better. He did not take kindly to that and shouted at me for it, it wasn't much of an argument since I did bite my tongue afterwards but Cody got us to split up and I did apologize to Tyler for saying that." Noah admitted, almost embarrassed to do so.
"Wow Noah, that's a bit of a low blow." Josh snickered.
"Yeah yeah, I was more cranky than I am now." Noah scoffed before continuing, "Anyway, we were then placed on the same team in World Tour. Since I spent most of my time with Owen and Izzy, Tyler wasn't much of a presence to me. I did occasionally share a few jokes with him but we weren't on the same friend group or anything. I never planned to vote him off though, Alejandro was more of a priority. I was surprised to hear he voted against me in London but in all honesty, I think leaving him behind reopened old wounds about how I treated him in the past. After he got eliminated, me and Tyler apologized to each other and even if I don't approve of his friendship with Alejandro, he's a good guy in my books and I was way too harsh on him."
"Nice to see you atone for your mistakes, you could use a bit of humble pie." Josh smirked at the Know It All before Cody's picture came into view, "Ah yes, your old cuddle bunny. How does it feel to reminisce on him now that you have a girlfriend?" Josh said mockingly.
"So yeah, me and Cody did not start out so good at first. The ear kiss was really awkward for us both but I knew that I had to apologize for it or I'd probably be booted off if Cody got the wrong idea, so I did and naturally we got to talking more and I found him to be a good friend. Since I was already bonding with Owen, I got a little cocky in the dodgeball game and thought I'd be safe with their votes, oh how I was very wrong." Noah began, "Fun fact about Cody, he and I were subject to many rumors during our eliminations, mostly started by Izzy and we had to dispel them a LOT."
"That would explain why you were always next to him in season two. How about season three?" Josh asked.
"Oh goodness, season three was practically hell for him. Sierra's antics were way out of hand and none of Team Amazon bothered to help him with his problems so naturally he would vent to me about it." Noah recalled how bad things were for his friend back in World Tour, "He actually cried after the Paris challenge since everyone didn't care to hear his side of the story and just immediately gaslighted him for voting off Sierra. Putting aside all that, we still keep in touch today and are grateful to be in each other's lives."
"So next up is Beth. I'm not sure if you've ever interacted much with her." Josh began.
"You're correct on that front. I never shared an interaction with her in the game. I was eliminated too early in Island and we never made it to the same season together. We never got to interact in Playa Des Losers either since she was always hanging out with more 'preppy' people so we never really mixed with each other." Noah confirmed, "She's neutral as of now."
The next photo to appear on screen was Courtney.
"We already covered Sadie, so let's just skip to Courtney. So the only interaction you two really had was where you told Courtney to get over the fact that she was cheated out of the game. Don't you feel you were too harsh on her?" Josh asked curiously.
"No, why would I? The moment she got here, she wouldn't stop moaning and groaning and whining and crying about how cheated she was. We were sympathetic at first but once she started going psycho on Harold and going on continuous rants, I stopped caring real quick. Never cared to deal with her drama but either way, she's a nuisance to me right now and I hope I never deal with her again." Noah rolled his eyes.
"That's cold but I would expect nothing less." Josh said before Harold was shown next, "So what do you think about Harold?"
"He's just plain annoying, I only talked with him a few times but that's all I really think of him." Noah sighed before saying, "Who's next?"
The next image on the screen was Eva much to Josh's excitement, "Ah. There we go. So you and Eva teamed up with Izzy in the special, what was that about?"
"So me and Eva were pessimistic about the world and as they say, misery loves company so we bonded very quickly. More often than not we would mock the idiocy of our fellow campers as we watched the episodes." Noah smiled fondly, "We both found the Gwent debate very annoying in Action since neither of us cared about Trent or Gwen's love life and in World Tour, she's the one who brought me and Izzy back together after Izzy found out that I recommended that Owen break up with her. She literally forced us to talk about it. She's a good friend, just needs to work on her anger issues."
The next one to appear on the screen was Trent which did not seem to make Josh happy, "I assume you didn't share much interaction with Trent?"
"Not really. The most I did was mock how easily he fell for Heather's tricks but that's all." Noah shrugged.
"Figures." Josh sighed before the screen shifted to Bridgette, "Some fans claim you were trying to make a move on Bridgette, care to clarify on that?"
Noah suddenly got very heated and began ranting, "That is a lie! I was just cold and Bridgette happened to be next to me! I only smiled because I wanted to be warm! Bridgette herself is a HYPOCRITE, she gives Gwen shit about how she treated Trent in Action and yet she proceeds to have a little flirt-mance with Alejandro. How she was forgiven so easily will forever appall me! She's just a bit aggravating but I do not hate her."
"Yikes, you really got into it. Well next is Lindsay, anything to comment on her?" Josh asked curiously.
"Not really. She's just really stupid and therefore I avoid her like the plague." Noah scoffed.
The screen shifted to an image of DJ to which Noah shrugged at, "Honestly I never really interacted with him much, even when my team tried to ally with him. He's just okay."
Josh groaned at the lack of dirt he was getting before Izzy's picture popped up in which his smile returned, "Alright, so we have Izzy. There's a lot of history between you two so start talking."
"Okay so Izzy started hanging out with Eva when she got eliminated so I couldn't really avoid her." Noah began cautiously, "We weren't exactly friends but we did kinda like each other. In World Tour, I had planned to ally with both her and Owen across the game to beat Alejandro but a roadblock was that Izzy was starting to abuse Owen, albeit by accident so before Alejandro could manipulate the situation, I told Owen to break up with Izzy to get it over with so there was no love drama. In the end, Izzy got hit by a plane and I got eliminated so my plans ultimately crumbled. Like I said, Eva got us to patch up so we're definitely closer than before."
"So apparently behind the scenes, you and Geoff got into an argument involving the whole Yukon incident. Please elaborate." Josh smirked at the Know It All.
"Nothing much to explain, Geoff was experiencing paranoia after Bridgette cheated on him so he decided to go after me for the oh so serious crime of huddling for warmth so I called him out for being a jealous wreck and that he should be focusing on how Alejandro was able to turn Bridgette into a stammering puddle." Noah's gaze hardened before his expression softened, "In all honesty, I immediately regretted it once I said it and I did apologize once we saw each other again in the Race but we did not interact much after that."
"Interesting stuff." Josh remarked before the picture shifted to Leshawna, "Thoughts on her?"
"She talks a lot of crap about being upfront and seizing the day when she basically caused a lot of problems during Action and World Tour. She didn't even own up to her unjust reaction to Heather in Germany and just continued to shame her for… literally no reason. She's a hypocrite and obnoxious, I don't like her." Noah admits with a shrug.
The next picture to come up was Duncan which made Noah groan, "Thankfully I never had to interact with that gutter trash but I did have to try really hard to plead with him to vote off Alejandro. Big surprise, he preferred keeping the hot muscly dude over the limb noodle. Honestly, they probably have some form of common bond since they're bad boys or whatever. I don't like him either."
The next picture to come up was Heather.
"Other than our back and forth in the dodgeball competition, we did not interact at all in season one. We preferred to ignore each other until we absolutely could not." Noah told the host before adding, "Then season three happened and I couldn't really ignore her anymore. Whenever she could, she would usually speak with Cody, likely to get him on her side for voting purposes so naturally we did clash a bit when I called her out for wanting to use Cody. Though I quickly learned there was more to it than that, it was never shown on screen since the show wanted to focus on 'Aleheather' and 'Coderra' and even Cody's crush on Gwen but Cody began forming an attraction to Heather. He was more in denial about this one than the one with Gwen so I was probably the only one who noticed. After the game they definitely became a lot closer so we interact a bit more now. I won't tell you what became of them as that is their business but we're cool overall."
"Interesting, I'll have to ask Cody and Heather more about this. Anyway, next up is Gwen. Anything to say on her?" Josh asked.
"Not really. I didn't care for her much and like others, I avoided her after she kissed Duncan." Noah shrugged.
Josh smiled before a picture of Owen appeared on screen, "Alright. We got your best friend next. Tell me everything about your history. People need to know how you two became friends."
"Well it's simple. We shared some jokes in season one, we interacted more after he got kicked off the first time in season two, and then we finally got to talk more in season three. Owen's a really good friend, and I felt comfortable talking with him more often than others. I was concerned about his situations with Izzy and Alejandro so naturally I tried to get him to break up with Izzy and try to turn him against Alejandro. Obviously the latter backfired on me greatly, and Owen paid the price for it later. After that, we went on several reality shows and met Emma and Kitty. The two of us still keep in contact today." Noah smiled genuinely the first time since this interview began.
Next picture was Sierra's and Noah's expression immediately soured.
"Never have I hated someone so vehemently in my life!" Noah ranted furiously, "Cody would tell me in his rants about Sierra that she would never stop harassing him and ignored any of his pleas to be left alone because she either doesn't listen or she willfully ignores him! She made Cody cry in Paris alone and apparently she was a lot more possessive and she had more of a hair trigger temper than the cameras showed. The only reason some of her nastier behavior hadn't been shown because it would get the show canceled and thank GOD Cody cut her out of his life! I despise her."
"The tea I have just received, so you apparently smelled something fishy about Alejandro, can you elaborate?" Josh smirked.
"He was basically Heather and Justin but with social skills but it was so painfully obvious that he was manipulating us and he was trying way too hard to be a gentleman. He was also really obsessed with trying to woo Heather that it was laughable. Fun fact, he turned on the flirting really hard in Jamaica whenever he spoke to Team Amazon since he was in a speedo that day, naturally Heather and Sierra resisted it but Courtney and Gwen were kinda into it, especially since they were so upset Duncan was gone. It was really pissing me off so I ranted about it to Owen when I thought it would be safe in London but no, he conveniently saw me rant about his actions so he got me eliminated! Good god, this bastard got so lucky in the game." Noah grunted in annoyance, "I hate him but he's not as awful as Sierra."
"Interesting. Have you ever interacted with the other cast members post World Tour?" Josh asked.
"I only really interact with Dave, I just never bothered to talk with anyone else from the other casts. Me and Dave got along decently well in the reunion Chris had all of us go to but that's really it. Either way, Total Drama did open me up to new friends but I'm not gonna act like it was the best thing ever since the experience still sucked." Noah told Josh before promptly walking out, "I'm out of here. Thanks for the interview I guess."
Author's Note: So Noah had some pretty mixed views on his fellow cast members, can't say this is OOC of him. So yeah, that's it for the first chapter. Next up we have Justin, that'll be a blast.
