It was finally the night of the talent show as we saw Anya sitting with her friends in the gymnasium as they waited to see their friends perform at the show.
"I'm pretty excited for what's to come, and I heard Allison and the others did great earlier, so I'm excited to see them perform," Anya spoke out to Nancy excitedly as her friend nodded in agreement alongside Charlotte and Emma.
"I'm with you, and I can't wait to see what they're going to show, and that's something I'm looking forward to seeing whatever they might show us," Nancy spoke back to her friend while smiling as she looked over to see Judith and Neville talking to each other alongside their friends which made the young girl raise an eyebrow.
"Oh god, Judith is here! I hope she doesn't try to ruin our night, and I'm honestly getting tired of her nonsense," Nancy spoke out to her friends in a rather annoyed tone while her friends nodded in agreement.
"Oh yeah, she's here. We encountered her when me, Charlotte, and Emma were chatting with Cynthia, and of course, Judith was being her usual mean self," Anya spoke back to Nancy while her friend nodded in agreement.
"Wait, Cynthia is here?! Where is she? Cause I don't see her anywhere.." Nancy asked Anya in a rather joyful voice as she was excited to see her friend again but was met with Anya shrugging her shoulders with uncertainty.
"I'm not sure since Cynthia told us that she was going to head to the bathroom, and we haven't seen her since, but I'm hoping she'll be okay," Anya responded while Nancy looked worried, but she quickly brushed it off.
"I see; well, I hope she doesn't miss the talent show," Nancy spoke back to Anya while her friend nodded in agreement; of course, Judith happened to be observing them; however, she wasn't unable to make out what they were saying due to the crowds of people talking.
"Look at them, Nothing but freaks talking to other freaks, God I hate them.." Judith spoke to Neville in a vain voice while Neville nodded in agreement with Megan and Lisa as Megan began to talk.
"Judith, we're here for a reason, right? You intend to scare Allison out of his wits, right? That's why we're sitting in the front row," Megan asked Judith with a smile. Judith nodded in confirmation while smiling.
"Of course, all we gotta do is just be in his sight, and once he sees us, he'll get all scared and quit the contest! Isn't that great, or what?" Judith responded to her friend while laughing, making Megan and the others smile.
"I see, now that's a good plan, and stage fright can really harm someone, and just add people like us to the mix, then Allison will definitely will never wanna be out in public again," Megan spoke out to Judith while laughing with her friend at the thought of this as this was interrupted by the sounds of the microphone being tapped by Greta.
"May I have everyone's attention, please" Greta spoke out to the audience as the sounds of chatter slowly died down, which allowed her to continue addressing the audience.
"Good Evening, It's an honor to be a presenter for this beautiful show we'll see. The performers we will see have worked their butts off to make this possible, so please show them as much support to the best of your ability, but without further ado, please welcome our first contestants, Lousie and Russell!" Greta spoke out to the audience, and this was met with cheers from everyone but Judith and her gang.
"Louise? Isn't she Calvin's sister or something? I heard she's rather odd in the head from other people," Lisa asked Judith in a curious tone of voice; she was met with Judith nodding her head in confirmation as she began to speak.
"She is, she's very weird, but since she is Calvin's sister, I'll give her the benefit of the doubt but let's see what she has to offer," Judith responded as she looked over to see Louise and Russell entering the stage to showcase their magic trick to the audience.
"Good Evening, everyone. My name is Russell Jackson, and we would like to show you incredible people something that will surely amaze everyone in the room." Russell greeted the audience with joy while Louise began to speak up.
"And my name is Louise Wright. It's an honor to be performing in front of everyone tonight, and here, we're going to show you guys a magic trick, so please pay close attention." Louise advised the audience as once she was done speaking; she walked over to Russell to hand him trading cards.
"Okay, remember what we practiced, okay? You will select a card from this deck, and of course, the audience will be under the impression that I guessed the cards correctly, but of course, I know them in advance.." Louise advised her friend while handing him four cards: queen, ace, jester, and one card containing the number four; she saw Russell nodding his head in understanding before quickly taking a few steps back to allow him to interact with the audience.
"Alright, my friend here is gonna guess whatever cards I have, and the twist is that she doesn't know what cards are on my display, so this will be a test of luck or maybe magic.." Russell spoke to the audience in joy while walking over to Louise with the set of cards in his hand as he waited for Louise to guess the cards.
"Let's see; you have a queen, ace, jester, and one card containing the number four, right? Mr Russell." Louise spoke back to her friend in a rather playful voice while winking at him, making Russell smile as he confirmed whether she was right by slowly checking the cards in his hand.
"Alright, let's see if Louise is right; the results may shock everyone in the room." Russell spoke out to the audience once more as he walked over to the edge of the stage and began to name out the cards.
"Louise is right, it seems! She guessed correctly! Talk about amazing or what?!" Russell spoke out to the audience once more in joy as many cheers could be heard from the audience, including Anya and her friends.
"Wow! That was wonderful! Louise and Russell were very wonderful in their tricks. they sure make a great team." Mai spoke out while clapping for her friend while Charlotte nodded in agreement.
"I agree; both of them have done quite wonderfully! I can't wait to see what Carrie and Allison have in store for us." Charlotte spoke back to Mai in agreement, while Anya, Nancy, and Emma smiled in agreement.
"I agree, I wish Calvin were here to see this, but maybe he's busy or something, but I don't know; it's hard to get to him these days." Anya spoke out to Mai in agreement while the gang continued to watch the events of the talent show unfold as Greta began to speak once more from the stage.
"Alright, next up is Carrie! She will show us something special, so give it up for Carrie!" Greta called out, followed by more cheers from the audience, with the sole exception being Judith and her gang, as Carrie stepped out on the stage with a smile.
"Hello, everyone! My name is Carrie, and I'm here to give to perform a spoken poem that I wrote, so I hope everyone enjoys my wonderful work," Carrie spoke out with a smile while taking deep breaths as she stared at the huge audience before looking over to see Principal Sheldon giving her a thumbs up of encouragement from the sidelines.
Suddenly, Carrie began to speak her poem.
"In the realm of shadows, whispers cry, A tale of loss, where hearts comply. I weave a tale of love's last dance through ebon veils of sorrow's trance. In the embers' glow, memories cascade, Of cherished souls that time betrayed. With heavy hearts, we bear the cost, Of dreams once held; now, love is lost. Gone are the days of laughter's grace. A void now dwells in time and space. The echoing echoes of what was, Remind us of life's applause. Yet, amid the darkest gloom, We find a ray to pierce the tomb. For in the ache that grief bestows, A seed of strength begins to grow. Each tear that falls, a sacred thread,
Binding the living and the dead. Through ancient ties, we find our way, Embracing night and dawning day. The empty chair, the silent voice, Speak volumes of a love that joys. Though presence wanes, love's essence soars, An eternal flame that still adores. In Twilight's realm, we find release, mourning, grief, and peace. Through whispers shared and hearts unbound, We heal the wounds where love is found. So let us honor those we miss. Their spirits dance in love's abyss. In loss, we learn to cherish life, For in the pain, we conquer strife. Though tears may blur the path we roam, We find the strength to carry home, The love that blossomed, now apart, Forever etched within the heart. And so, dear souls, we bid farewell, With gratitude for all you knew. In the loss, we find the strength to mend, And cherish love until the end."
Carrie finished reading the poem with such emotion and feeling as there was silence before being met with a roar of applause from the audience, which made her smile.
"Thank you, everyone! I hope everyone has a wonderful night!" Carrie spoke out in joy as she ran towards the back of the stage and was met with Russell and Allison cheering her on.
"You did great! That poem almost made me cry, so you know that's something to be proud of," Allison spoke to Carrie with a smile on his face while hugging his friend warmly, returned by Carrie hugging him back.
"Thank you so much! I'm glad people liked my poem, and I've worked hard on it, so it makes me feel proud of myself," Carrie responded while Allison and Russell smiled back at their friend.
"Anytime, friend, and It seems I'm next as well…I'm kinda nervous.." Allison spoke out to Carrie in a rather nervous tone while Russell and Carrie quickly reassured him.
"Don't be nervous; you got this! Just go out there and show the school the talented person you are, okay?" Russell advised Allison with a warm smile while Carrie nodded in agreement.
"I'm with him, and just show everyone your wonderful singing skills, okay? We believe in you so much!" Carrie spoke out to her friend, and the advice from those two helped Allison greatly as he smiled.
"Thank you, I needed that, and I feel a little more confident now! I love you guys so much!" Allison responded in joy as he hugged his friends warmly before making his way toward the front stage, thus bringing him into the spotlight as he heard Greta's voice.
"Now, let's introduce Allison! He's going to sing a wonderful song for us, so please give him some cheers," Greta spoke to the audience, followed by most of the audience cheering for the young boy while Judith and her gang silently laughed to themselves.
"Finally, It's Allison! If he sees us, he'll get nervous and leave the stage! This will be gold!" Judith spoke to her cousin and friends, and they nodded in agreement.
"I can't wait to see the little fairy's scared face! I wish I brought something to take a photograph with so we could share it among our other friends," Neville also spoke out while he, Judith, and their friends laughed to themselves as they began to watch Allison's performance.
"H-Hello, M-My name is Allison, and I'm gonna sing so..yeah.." Allison spoke out to the audience in a rather small nervous voice as he stared at the audience before looking over to see Judith and her gang sitting at the front, staring at him.
"J-Judith?! I-I didn't expect her and her gang to be here.." Allison thought while feeling himself sweat as he saw their smiles of joy. Judith was sure to maintain eye contact with Allison as she stared deep into his eyes despite being in the front-row seat, and she had taken pleasure in making him meek and nervous.
"U-Um…I…I.." Allison could only utter as he felt himself getting nervous, and his heartbeat grew faster by the minute due to his nervousness.
"I...I can't do this.." Allison uttered to herself while pointing his head down; this was met with some of the audience gasping while Judith smiled; however, this moment of uncertainty was interrupted by none other than Cynthia herself.
"Allison, don't go givin' up on those people, now! Let's sing together, okay?" Cynthia spoke out to her friend while arriving at his side, which caused many people from the audience to gasp and chatter with wonder.
"Cynthia?! What is SHE doing here…" Judith thought to herself as she felt herself slowly becoming angry as she continued to watch the events unfolding.
"Let's give these people a show, okay? Don't mind Judith and her little friends since they're being such honeypots right now," Cynthia advised Allison; this made the young boy smile warmly as he began to speak to his friend.
"T-Thank you, Let's sing together, shall we?!" Allison spoke out while smiling as he and Cynthia stood back to back, brimming with confidence as the stage lights began to shine on the pair, followed by many cheers from the audience.
"Boy, I knew you had the confidence, but let's give these people a show of a lifetime!" Cynthia spoke back to Allison in a confident voice as the pair began to sing to the audience with such energy and light.
"In the moonlit sky, I found my way. A path of dreams that led astray. Lost in thoughts, I roam alone!" Allison sang with joy while Cynthia followed suit as well.
"A Canvas of hope, we paint the skies, with colors bold, we'll mesmerize!" Cynthia sang out, and both of their singing caused the entire audience to clap along with their singing.
"Thank you, Cynthia; I feel wonderful! If it weren't for you, I would have given up.." Allison thought to himself while continuing to sing with the audience in joy as, in the end, Allison knew that counting on his friends would make things just a bit better for himself and everyone.
