Chapter 20: A Tale of Two Hell spawns

Gotham City

Two hours after Spawn and Raven foiled the Team's attempt to infiltrate Global Tech, everyone was fast asleep for the night. "Okay. Why are you here?" Alvin asked.

"I have been following you exployes for a while and I am in need of your help." David said.

"Simple, he was telling the truth for starters." Alvin said.

"I was reading him from using my powers. I noticed that his aura haven't spike at all since he was telling us his story." Alvin said.

"Well, if you say that he can be trusted, then I will try to trust him but I will be keeping a close eye on him." Sean said.

Alvin got up from his chair and headed towards the door. He walked out of the office to meet with David in the lobby. Once he step off the elevator and stood in front of him.

There was a well dressed man in a white suit and he had his face covered with a black mask that a skull shape. He was looking over the city through his building like he was god himself. Then his secretary was approach with a clipboard in her hand.

"What do I have for today?" Black Mask asked.

"A meeting with other mafia members to discuss the next future endeavors."

"Good. I am going to be on top of the world. Not even Spawn can take me down." Black Mask bosted.

Then Asian woman just adjust her glasses. She just sighed as she was started to write down on her clipboard.

David and Alvin arrived in Gotham City to see that they were a few distance way from the building. Alvin was looking through the building to see that Black Mask and his Secretary were leaving.

'Wow, that placed is heavy guarded." Alvin said.

He handed the binoculars over to David was looking at the building. He pulled them down as he was looking through it once again. He saw a guy on the rooftop. He was wearing a red helmet. He had a double bag. He knew that that it was now or never before this person get to Black Mask.

"It's show time." David said.

He ran after Wraith as they both started to leave trail of bodies in the path. Meanwhile Black Mask was sitting in his office as he heard loud scream. He was looking at assistant.

"What the Hell was that?" Black Mask asked.

"I think that you need to find a new line of work." Spawn said.

The woman just ran out of the room which leaving Black Mask in the process.

"Hey get your ass back here and lay down your life for me!" Black Mask shouted.

He was looking at the two Hell Spawns in front of him. He grinned as he started to walked over to the bookcase. Spawn was looking at them for a moment as he pressed a button and four people appeared out of nowhere and they were was dressed in high tech armor.

"I was saving these guys for that asshole Red Hood but I think that they will start with you two. See ya." Black Mask said.

Both Spawn and Wraith were watching as the bookcase opened up to a express elevator. Then Black Mask stepped inside as the doors closed which Wraith growl as he saw Black Mask smiled. Spawn was looking at the group in front of them before he popped his neck to the side.

"You take two and I take two." Spawn suggested.

"Sounds good to me. Just the heads up these guys are way beyond redemption because they kill for a living. They kill not only other gang members but innocent people." Wraith said.

"Oh don't worry about them. I will not let any of them live." Spawn said.

Then a female drew her twin katana and charged towards Spawn and swung her black to only be block by Spawn's sword. She was looking at him with wide eyes.

"What? You thought that I am good with my fist." Spawn said.

He kicked her in the gut while another male dressed in all black tech suit where his hand power gauntlets. He tried to punch Spawn but he dodged the gauntlets with ease. He followed up with a roundhouse kick. Wraith used his swords to block an incoming beam by another male with a high tech visor strapped to his face.

Then Wraith looked to his right to jump back to avoid a glowing staff. He was looking at the other fighters. They was trying to attack from all side. Both Spawn and Wraith stood back to back as both teams were surrounding the both of them.

"Well, these guys means busy. Can't say that we might have our work cut out for us." Spawn said.

He blocked the two katanas with his sword. Wraith spins his swords into a shield motion to block another blast and he used the other blade to block the staff. Spawn kicked the female warrior in the gut and ducked to avoid a fist. Then he brought his sword into a reverse grip and he cut the arm off.

"Ahhh!"

Spawn brought his sword into the big guy's chest which pierced his heart. He pulled his sword out as the big guy collapsed to the ground. The group of assassins were looking at the dead body with wide eyes. Wraith took the opportunity as he plunge his sword into the head of the blast shot. The static energy from the device corased throughout his body as he was screaming out in pain before his head exploded.

Spawn was looking at what happened before he turned his head to Wraith.

"Damn. I never thought that would happened. Hey, I got an idea. You go after Black Mask. Let me handle these two." Spawn suggested.

Wraith looked at Spawn.

"Yeah. Don't worry. I'll be right behind you." Spawn said.

Wraith ran over to the express elevator and force it open with his Hell spawn strength. He jumped down the Elevator shaft. The two assassin was about to chase after Wraith but Spawn jumped over their heads and landed in front of elevator to block their path.

He pointed his sword at the two assassins as they both started to take their stances. I couldn't help myself to be excited. The two assassins started to charge at me.

Black Mask made it to the garage. He was looking around for a moment before he let out a sigh of relief. He pulled out a cigar and placed it in his mouth. He was about to light it up, but suddenly two blades pierce both of his shoulders. Wraith pulled him towards the ground. Black Mask winced in pain.

"You thought that you would escape your crimes." Wraith said.

He was walking towards the now wounded Black Mask. Black Mask started to get up to escape, but Wraith tugged on the chains of his blades to pull him back down on the ground. He was looking at Wraith because he saw death himself approaching.

"What are you talking about?" Black Mask said.

"You have kill a lot of people for your protection money." Wraith said.

Black Mask reach into his suit and pulled out a gun and started firing at Wraith. The bullet hit him but it didn't faze him at all. The wounds on his body started to close and heal. Black Mask's eyes widen because he wasn't dealing with a normal person.

"When one person stood up against you and your thugs, you have them brutally beat him to death." Wraith said.

Black mask was trying to get away from him. Then Wraith grabbed him by the throat. He kicked Black Mask in the gut and follow up with a right hook. Black Mask landed back on the ground. He was coughing up blood. He was looking at Wraith.

"Like Spawn, I am here to put an end to the suffering of others. By getting rid of the scum of the earth." Wraith said.

"So, you want to send me to jail, huh?" Black Mask asked.

"No. I am going to do something that the world will be rejoice," Wraith said.

Black Mask's eyes widened at what Wraith just said.

"You mean that you're gonna kill me?!" Black Mask said.

"Yes. You have been avoiding the death penalty for far too long." Wraith said.

The pulled on his chains to wrap around Black Mask and pulled him up into the air. He pulled on the chains on his blades which started to tighten around Black Mask's body as you could hear bone crack. Black Mask was gasping for air from the pain.

"AHHHH!" Black Mask yelled.

The chain grew tighter and tighter until he was coughing up blood . Wraith looked at him and gave his chains a quick tugged which crush Black Mask. Then blood pour out of him and he release Black Mask from the chain. He was looking at the lifeless body.

"Now, go to hell." Wraith said.

Spawn was still fighting the last two assassin. He was blocking the two katana while avoiding the staff. He kicked the male assassin in the gut and pushed the female back. She sliced his arm off as she was grinning behind her mask.

"Okay that hurt." Spawn said.

He used his chain to bring his arm back to him. He reattach it as it started to heal. He was looking at the woman as his turned from green to crimson blood red. He moved faster than normal and gave her a right hook in the face. He grabbed her ponytail and pulled her towards him before he gave her a headbutt in the forehead.

She dropped to the ground as she was trying to get to her feet but she was in a daze. She was looking at Spawn who was holding both of her swords and he rammed them into her. Her eyes widened as she was pierced by her own swords.

"This make us even." Spawn said.

Spawn pulled her swords out of her as she collapsed to the ground once again. He was looking at the male assassin with a staff in his hands. He took his stance as he was ready to die. Spawn smirk because he was looking at a dead man before him.

"I have always wanted to say this. One shall stance and one shall fall." Spawn said.

He ready his sword and his stance. They both started to charge at one another. Their weapon clash a few times. Spawn jumped to avoid being hit. He brought his sword down on the staf but the assassin blocked it and pushed it back and twirl the staff a few times. Spawn thrust his sword to stop the twirl. The assassin jump back and did a couple of backflips.

"Okay. this is taken too long." Spawn said.

He used his chains to wrapped around the assassin's leg and pulled the leg out of from under him. He was dragging to the assassin before he flung him around like a ragdoll. He brought the assassin down to the ground to maka an impact crater.

"Boy that was fun, but i believe it's time for you to die." Spawn said.

He jumped down into the impact crater. He was looking at the last assassin. He was struggling to get free from the chains. Spawn drew his sword and brought it down on assassin. He chopped the assassin's head off and removed his chains from the lifeless body. Spawn walked over to the elevator and jumped down to meet up with Wraith.

Once he made it to the garage, he was looking at around for Wraith or Black Mask. He sniffed the air for a moment like something was burning and followed the smell to see Wraith standing over a burnt out body that was once Black Mask.

"Damn. You barbecue his ass." Spawn said.

Wraith turned his head as he was looking at Spawn.

"Thank you. I really needed to get to him." Wraith said.

"Anything. But if you wanted to send a message to the other gangs. Why not torch this place." Spawn suggested.

"That would be nice." Wraith said.

They both didn't waste time in setting up charges around the building. Spawn was looking around for a moment. He let out a sigh of relief.

"Well, I hate to destroy a perfect building like this... Ah well!" Spawn said.

Wraith placed the last charges that was in Black Mask's office. He jumped down to the garage while Spawn was walking out of the door.

"I hope you are done with last charges." Spawn said.

"I am. I am leaving the garage now." Wraith said.

Wraith got on a motorcycle and drove off. Spawn started to looked at the deadenator and pressed it. Then the entire building went up like a christmas tree. He was looking at the direction of the garage where he heard a sound of a motorcycle. Then suddenly, Wraith came out of the garage as the explosion spread to the garage.

Wraith landed and drove towards the stop on the dime. He was looking at the burning building. Both him and Spawn were looking at the burning.

"So, you think that this is a big of a message to the other gangs?" Spawn asked.

"I think so. But if they try anything, we'll be ready." Wraith said.

"I always work alone but I can use some help with the Justice League." Spawn said.

"Screw them. They are the reason that guys like Black Mask and many other have been killing accident people. They are too afraid to cross that line. And the people ends up suffering for their careless option." Wraith said.

"I agree. I think that I might need some good allies for my battle against the crimes and Justice League." Spawn said.

"Well, if you ever need me, just give me a call." Wraith said.

He toss Spawn a cellphone that has his number in it. Spawn watch as Wraith drove off with the stolen bike. He smiled as he closed his eye.

"Let me guess, you just watch the show, huh?" Spawn said.

Then a man dressed in the trench coat and a red helmet on his head.

"Wow, the reports about you are true. You can sense a presence of another person."

Spawn gripped his hilt of his sword.

"Hey now, no need for that. Just wanted to talk is all."

"Talk. And I'll decide to listen or not." Spawn said.

The stranger just sighed as he shook his head.

"Names Red hood. And I am have been working the Black Mask game for a while now. And I thought that might leak his location to a certain person that look like you would draw you out." Red Hood said.

"So, it was ploy to get to me then?" Spawn said.

He gripping his hilt even tighter.

"Not in a bad way. I heard that you were the one that kill the Joker." Red Hood said.

"Yeah. And I would like for you to let me join you in taken on the scumbags here in Gotham. Because I don't like the idea of sociopaths like the Joker running loose in the city and killing people in their way." Red Hood said.

"Well, if you join me, you will have to go head to head with the Justice League and Batman as well." Spawn said.

"I don't mind." Red Hood said.

"Well, welcome to the team then." Spawn said.

"Don't worry we'll keep in touch." Red Hood said.

Red Hood started to disappeared into the shadow as Spawn started to take his leave because he heard police siren heading towards the building.

"This is going to be interesting." Spawn said.

There you go everyone, it took a while for me to get my chapter 20 together because Microsoft has been hacked. So, it will be awhile for me to get more chapters up and going.
