Hey, guys Kurama here with another chapter of A New Hero.

This a quick reminder that this story is meant for me to have fun but also explore my creativity and my ability to write a concrete story.
Let's begin!
-Next day-
I wake up and see that it's almost 12 a.m., making me a bit frantic as I didn't expect to sleep in that much but I guess all these transformations and the testing really took a lot out of me.
I check my phone and see a picture of Yi-Seo smiling at the screen while also doing the peace sign with the hand she's not using to hold her phone.
A small smile is etched on my face before I close off my phone and get ready for the day since I plan on testing more of my transformations with Yi-Seo as my coach.
She'll monitor my energy and vitals so I don't collaspe during my training.
I hear knock on my door so I quickly run downstairs to open it but my bitch of a cousin opens it before I could.
This, unfortunately means that for the five minutes, I'm going to get embarrased like that one outcast in tvs shows.
"Oh, who are you? Are you someone that just moved in?" Lily asks while giving me a mocking wave so I reply with the middle finger, way too annoyed to deal with her shit.
"No, Park Yi-Seo. A friend of your cousin. He told me to meet him here so we could hang out." She replies rather easily but she unknowingly just dragged my pride six feet under with that statement.
"Oh really because I was under the impression that my cousin didn't know how to go touch grass. He's not what you call a... social person." Lily says while barely managing to stifle a giggle.
"Cool but I don't care about you or your opinion, which might stem from the fact that he's academically better than you, which forces you to build connections with others so you feel better about yourself. I'm here for my friend and unless your mother herself tells me that he can't leave the house, I'm staying right here until I get my definitive answer." Yi-Seo says with a tone of finality.
"You little piece of..."
"Enough, Lily. I can still tell your mother about how much respect you showed me today but that's not important. I have things to do so we're gonna leave. Don't expect me to be back soon." I say before pushing her and join Yi-Seo, leaving my cousin to rage out at the humiliation she just went through.
During our walk to my training spot, not one word was uttered as we both enjoyed the peace that was taken from us by my bitch of a cousin.
Only when we arrive do I decide to break the ice by quickly instructing Yi-Seo to stand a bit far away from me so I could get started on training.
"Alright. Here it goes." I say as I select the Pyronite alien and kindly slam the watch with my right hand.
A flash of green light appears but quickly fades away and I take a look at my hands only to realize that they're on fire.
"Magmastorm!" I exclaim at the top of my lungs before shooting a fireball at the river near us and watch as an explosion occurs from where I shot the fireball.
Rememberimg something important, I sit in a cross-legged to find a hidden ability within the Pyronite species like I did yesterday with Spider-Strike's Venom ability.
An idea in my head forming, I focus on the weather and channel some of my more darker emotions as thunder strikes in the direction where I mentally guided it to.
The river is once again victim of Magmastorm's trials and not so many failures.
I focus on the same feeling from a few seconds ago and find lightning dancing around my hands as I cackle in delight and maybe sadistic glee at discovering another power that Ben didn't have in the original series.
I continue to shoot lightning at the river while laughing like a delusional psychopath as Yi-Seo claps her hands like a child witnessing a magic trick for the first time.
BEEP!* *BEEP!*
"Seriously! Are you kidding me?! It hasn't even been ten minutes yet?!"I roar out in anger at the watch.
"Does it do that a lot?" Yi-Seo shouts the question before yelping and goes back to hiding behind the rock where she sat at while I trained.
"Only I discover a new ability. It didn't do that for my first two transformations. That's the part that annoys me a bit. Speaking of annoying..."
BWOOM!*
With that final sound, I'm now a human again, though I'm still frustrated at the fact that new ability I unlock I seem to speed up the time out of the Omnitrix, something that I wish could be remedied but if there are people like Vilgax running around, I guess it'd make for Azmuth to have implented this function into the watch.
Wait, is Azmuth even the creator of this Omnitrix or is it Albedo?
Or maybe there's a version of Psychobos running around making knock-off Omnitrixes like in the Omniverse series?
To think, Brainstorm's species has enough intelligence to make a copy of the most powerful device in all of the universe just out of the need to prove itself as the surperior race.
Truly, a frightening species.
"Omnitrix, who is your creator?" I ask after a moment of incertitude while Yi-Seo stands by my side as we both wait for the intergalactic watch to give us an answer.
"Omnimatrix 2.0 has been created by both Azmuth and Merlin and have implented the AI known as Eunice into the system. WARNING! Omnimatrix does not have sufficient amount of data to proceed. Must find Omnimatrix keys! Must find Omnimatrix keys!" She repeats that last part like a jukebox so I shut it off and the walk back is filled with nothing but questions filling my mind and it all correlates to those 'Omnitrix keys'.
What are these Omnitrix keys and why wasn't it alongside the Omnitrix when I found it?
Did someone possess the Omnitrix before me?
Was it someone who's the equivalent of Vilgax that took them from the watch?
Did Azmuth purposefully seperate the keys but send them all in the same direction, which is Earth in hopes of someone like me finding them?
I'm gonna go with the theory that they're all on Earth, then who has the keys?
Is it the goverments who hold in hopes of augmenting their countries's superpower?
Or were they used to turn people into aliens against their will?
"You're thinking about what the watch said, huh?" My partner asks and my eyes widen in shock.
"How did you-"
"I could see it all over your face. Well, mostly your eyes but you get what I mean and it is intriguing. The existence of those keys, which can unlock more of the watch's power. Good thing you found and not some maniac 'cause otherwise, things would've gone south within a week." Yi-Seo says as we sit on the stairs of her house.
"I guess but this is starting to become beyond the two of us. I want- no. I need to find those keys and maybe get some answers out of the watch. How did it get here? Why was it tracking me?" I voice out my concerns to Yi-Seo, who nods her head in understsnding.
"Hmm, looks like finding those keys just became a top priority to the both of us but if we're gonna do this, we'll need to get some recruits. Preferably, people who are half-alien and half-human since not only will they be a big support on the battlefield but also you'll able to train alongside them and it'll be easier for you to relate to them and vice versa."
"Huh, you really thought this through."
"Of course. We're partners so it's important that I ease you when you're feeling worried. That and we could both use some more friends." Yi-Seo says while staring at the sky.
"Must you include me in this?" I ask her with a deadpan expression on my face.
"Yes because I know that you don't have any friends because of your tendecies to insult anyone and everyone that has earned your ire." She replies easily with a smile on her face.
'You know, with that smile, she looks kind of pretty. Ew, Nate what the fuck are you thinking man?! We're not even friends and you're already calling her cute. Stop staring at her and look at the fucking sky!' I thought before staring at the sky, doing my best to not look at my partner 'cause of thoughts I just had.
This is so weird.
In less than two days, I got a crush on someone who's not even my friend.
Hmm, I shouldn't rush this 'cause if I make one mistake then I'll lose my partner here and without the recruits that we're supposed to get in the nearby future, I'll be all alone to find those Omnitrix keys.
The worst part about this is if I do end up alone, then I don't my mental state will allow me to continue being a hero since I'll probably pull a Marvel and rearrange everybody's lives to how I want it to be and I don't want that so for now, we're partners and only that.
"Shoot, my dad wants to go help him at the store so I'll see you tomorrow. Hopefully we'll have our team as well by then. See ya!" Yi-Seo says as she gets in her car and drives away in the opposite direction of where I go to train.
I'm gonna have to explore more of the city when I have some free time.
I stand up and walk home, which is not that far away and once I'm there, I go into my room and then lay on my bed while also thinking ofwho should be joining our small team of two.
Admittedly, I'd like an Osmosian to join our team simply because of how resourceful they are and because Ben and Kevin's brotherhood.
Despite their shortcomings when they were younger, they were able to overcome that and develop a bond so strong that they could be considered brothers in all but blood.
Is this an excuse because of my failed relationship with Lily? Yes.
Do I care enough to try and fix it? No, no I don't and even if I did, it's not like she'd care enough to try so unfortunately, our relationship has already sunk and it's fine like that.
As for who else, I'd guess an Anodite since they're so powerful due to the fact that they can essentially manipulate life force energy and use it to empower themselves, something thay's both dangerous and amazing from my point of view but I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow.
With those thoughts fleeing my mind, I soon fall asleep, entering the realm of dreams.
