Lincoln was walking down the street holding hands with Maggie. Like most boyfriends Lincoln was walking her home before going to his.
"Thanks for walking me home, Linc, you're a real gentleman." Maggie said.
"No problem Mags." Lincoln responded.
They walked for a few more minutes before arriving at Maggie's house and walking up to her porch.
"Hope to see you again soon, Linc." Maggie said.
"I'd love to but as you know i'm grounded my family won't let me outside the house without a parent or sister." Lincoln said.
"Oooh that's rough." Maggie said.
"Yeah, even walking home with you now is taking a pretty big risk." Lincoln said.
"Well I appreciate it." Maggie said, making Lincoln blush.
"Well I better get back home, the lecture there gonna give me is long enough for hanging out with you, don't wanna get one for being late but it'll be worth it." Lincoln said.
"Thanks Linc and don't forget if you're sisters give you crap don't be afraid to give some back." Maggie said as she leaned down and pecked him on the lips. "Remember what I said, if someone gives you crap don't be afraid to give it back."
"Thanks Mags." Lincoln said as Maggie winked at him as she entered her house. After Maggie closed the door Lincoln began walking home.
"My family may be trying to make my life more difficult like they usually do but it feels great to show them they can't intimidate me anymore and I'm not afraid of them," Lincoln said to himself. "Meeting Maggie has really turned my life around." He said with a smile as he happily walked home.
Lincoln arrived home walking up the porch prepared for whatever angry judgment his family might have for him. He opened the door seeing the living and dining room empty. He wondered where his sisters were while at the same time not caring and just walked up the stairs to relax in his room.
While walking down the upstairs wall someone called his name behind him. "Hey Lincoln." Lincoln turned around to see it was Luna standing in her doorway. Lincoln just shot her a dirty look and proceeded to his room.
"Bro just wait a sec." Luna said as she ran up and grabbed her brother's shoulder just as he turned the doorknob. "Bro I'm not gonna get mad or lecture you I just wanna talk, please."
Lincoln, still with a sour look on his face, stared at the floor pondering if he should hear her out. He let out a sign and turned around "alright what is it?" he said.
The two siblings entered Luna's room and climbed up together on her bed.
"So Bro first i wanna ask do you hate me?" Luna said.
"Well I wouldn't say I hate you, but you make it very hard to like you sometimes." Lincoln said.
"Can I really be that bad bro." Luna asked.
"Like the time you, Lucy, Luan and Lynn left me with four dates at once. Or when you threatened to punch when I took Luans side in an argument oh or how about when you Lori, and Luan got mad at me when I came to get you for dinner… twice." Lincoln explained as Luna dropped her head down in defeat.
"I'm sorry Lincoln." Luna said "Listen I know I get frustrated with you but that doesn't mean I don't care about or love you." Luna said.
"You Could have fooled me." Lincoln said.
"You know if it wasn't just you getting mad at me, you guys make it your life mission to make my life difficult, I'm always singled out for the hard or disturbing jobs, you make fun of me, you never defend me from anything or anyone." Lincoln ranted.
"Lincoln I..I..I have no excuse for any of that, I can just be a real jerk sometimes." Luna said.
"You know out of all our sisters when you do all that it hurts the most when you do it." Lincoln said, fighting back small tears.
"Me, what do you mean little bro?" Luna asked.
"For most of the time your usually pretty nice to me and I thought we were really tight, so when you make fun of me, take stuff from me or beat me up It hurts a lot more cause I thought we were close." Lincoln said in a sad tone as a tear escaped down his cheek and caused tears to well up in Luna's eye's too.
"Like the time you threatened me to take your side in an argument with Luan over your fog machine." Lincoln said. "And by the way I really was on her side and you should have to fix her stupid dummy." he added.
Luna looked down at the floor, tears running freely down her face with guilt.
"Lincoln I'm sorry I am so so sorry I didn't realize what jerk I was, I know i'm not perfect I can be a jerk sometimes but I usually make it up Sam and the moan goats and even our sisters, but I didn't know how harsh I was on you, I'm so sorry." Luna said before started crying fully into her hands.
Lincoln looked at his guilt-ridden sister and started to feel sorry for her and put his arm around her as a small attempt to comfort her. Luna then put both her arms around Lincoln embracing him in a tight hug.
"Can I have a second chance to be your sister? I promise I really will try, I know we're siblings and fight like everyone else, but I promise I won't make fun of you or tease you, I'll be the nice close sister you thought I was." Luna said, pulling away from Lincoln to look him in the eye.
"Um uh okay I guess we can give it a try." Lincoln said hesitantly.
"Really thank you, thank you, thank you baby bro I promise I'll be better." Luna said as she pulled Lincoln back into a hug, and to her surprise and delight he hugged her back.
