Previously on Ash's Journey Through Dimensions: After Yugi defeated Noah, everyone who had been turned to stone returned to normal. Noah tried to steal Ash's body. Thanks to a wish Ash's father, Son Goku, made, This allowed Ash to learn that he was not from the World of Pokemon, as he was needed for a prophecy and was brought to the World of Pokemon to fulfill it. Noah's attempted theft failed. Soon after, Gozaburo Kaiba appeared and revealed he was behind everything. He planned to digitize the world and the Alola Region in the World of Pokemon and become the ruler of it all. Noah promised to help everyone escape, but it was a trap, and everyone was placed in their memories. Ash was able to use his Super Saiyan transformation to free everyone, but the damage was done. Noah stole Mokuba's body and escaped to the real world. The battle with Gozaburo Kaiba is about to begin:

Chapter 18: Kaiba Faces His Past: vs. Exodia Necross: Escape From the Virtual World Part 1

Ash and the gang were making their way toward where Mokuba and Noah were, hoping they would get to them before it was too late, as they felt that Noah had purposely separated them from Mokuba, and Kaiba. Lucario stopped as if something was wrong.

"Huh? Lucario, what's wrong? Did something happen?" Ash asked Lucario, who used his aura sight again and sighed.

"I can't sense anyone it's as if they disappeared from my sight, and no, it's not my aura sight. That ability is working again," Lucario said to Ash. He and the others were surprised and were now worried, and the realization hit them.

"Ash, you don't think," Lillie said to Ash in a worried tone as Ash nodded.

"Yep, I think Noah took over Mokuba's body and created that illusion just to distract us from his real target," Ash said as the others were angry. Not only did Noah trick them, but he was still after his step-brothers.

Elsewhere Kaiba was heading towards Kaiba Corp Tower. He knew full well that Gozaburo would be there. "To think that my step-father was behind all this. I should thank Ash for getting rid of that deception of Noah's. I'll deal with him after I am done with Gozaburo, and I know that it won't be easy," Kaiba thought as he arrived at the entrance of the building.

Kaiba was walking through the Kaiba Corp headquarters main building Kaiba noticed it was too empty. Then again he thought, it was the virtual world version of the tower there shouldn't be anyone here Kaiba thought as he made his way over to the elevator, knowing that Gozaboru was expecting him.

Meanwhile, Noah was walking through the fortress of the ship that everyone was trapped in and headed toward the central control room. "Stupid father using his own son and business partners for something like this," Noah said as he reached the central control room. "To think that my father would betray me and use me for something like this, and now you will pay the price for making a fool of me," Noah said as the sensor recognized Noah and opened the doorway. "Now it's time to put an end to all this."

Back with Ash and the others, Lucario tried to sense anything or at least the footsteps of Noah and Mokuba. "Ugh, it seems like Noah is covering his tracks. I can faintly sense where they were headed was in that direction, but where exactly is still unknown," Lucario said. At the same time, his aura capabilities were getting stronger and stronger. It was still not at Ash's level. especially after Ash's transformation

"Take a rest, boy. You don't need to stress yourself out," Ash said, petting his head, who stopped and nodded. "Right now, I'm sure we'll have to find another way to find out where they went. What is in that direction, given that this is a virtual version of your hometown and all," Ash asked Yugi and the others. Lillie noticed the street was too empty. Then again, it is the virtual world version of their hometown Lillie thought.

"Yeah, I see what you are saying, Ash. This area is exactly the same as our hometown, that might give us a chance to figure out where the exit is," Yugi said to Ash.

"If I remember correctly, that is the district that is mostly known for electronics and the local arcade," Tea said to the group, who minus Serenity, agreed with Tea.

Suddenly Lucario sensed something coming their way and started to growl, and he wasn't even in his aura-sensing mode. Everyone knew that when Lucario started to growl that something is up.

"What's wrong, boy? Is something about to happen?" Ash asked him, who nodded and used Aura Sphere at something around the corner from where the group was. Yugi and the others realized It was a group of Lizard Soldier duel monsters. One of them was destroyed. The others kept moving as if they were chess pieces and someone was moving them.

Suddenly a lot more were showing up. This group of monsters included Skull Knight, Comand Knight, Rock-Ogre Grotto 1, and Cosmo Queen. Lucario got into a fighting stance, ready to fight against them. "Not without help, you won't, boy," Ash said as he pulled out three other Pokeballs. "Sirfetch'd, Incinroar and Dracovish, we need your help," Ash sent out the Pokemon who stood beside Lucario.

Ash turned to the group. "Get going, you guys. We'll handle these monsters," Ash said to Yugi and the others, who nodded.

"Just be careful, please, Ash," Lillie said to Ash, who nodded as the group left. Ash turned to the monsters and his Pokemon.

"Dracovish and Sirfectch'd work with each other, and Lucario and Incinroar, you do the same we're a team, after all," Ash said as the four Pokemon nodded. Soon all the monsters were defeated.

Meanwhile, Kaiba had arrived at the top of the tower, ready to confront his stepfather as Gozaburo had anticipated Kaiba's arrival.

"So you finally arrived, Seto. You've given me a huge headache when you stole my company from me," Gozaburo said to Seto.

"I stole your company? Don't make me laugh, old man, or are you as senile as your associates, the Big 5 were? You gave me a chance to prove my worth, and I've given the company a better reputation than what you did with it. It's a company that makes people happy and need I remind you that those duel disks that you and you're flunkies were using are my invention, so who is really stealing," Seto pointed as Gozaburo shut up as he had to admit Seto was right and he hated to admit it.

"Humph, I'll give you that, Seto. As much as I hate to admit it, you have made the company more money than I could make, minus ruining our reputation for helping the wars and my reputation with other companies applied that were involved with them. So Seto, you dare come to my office and demand me to stop all this like that; Are you as dumb as Ash is?" Gozoburo said as a screen showed that Ash and his Pokemon were fighting the duel monsters with his Pokemon.

"You're not giving Ash enough credit, given from what I've seen he's more than capable of taking those creatures on, and given his reputation now, he is showing me why he's one of the best trainers of his dimension with just this fight alone, but I can tell that there is more to you allowing me to come here, is for more than talking about stupid stuff and the past?" Seto said to Gozoburo, who humphed.

"If you want out of here and for me to stop this, we must face each other," Gozoburo said as Seto laughed.

"If you are thinking about another chess match, then you are really out of touch, Gozaburo," Seto said as Gozaburo smirked, which Kaiba noticed.

"I'm not talking about chess, Seto. I'm challenging you to a duel in your favorite game, and the rules still apply as they would normally in this world, and this time no one is going to help you, Seto," Gozoburo said to Seto, who sighed and accepted the duel.

Meanwhile, Noah had reached the central control room and found the main control panel. He was able to see everything that was going on in the virtual world, and seeing what was going on with Ash caused Noah to glare.

"Seem's like my so-called father is giving Ash and his Pokemon a run for their money with those monsters," Noah said. He then noticed that Gozaburo and Seto were heading to the duel room of the company. "Perfect, that will distract them to the point that they will unable to escape as they will be so engrossed in the duel, not that it matters," Noah said as he was typing certain buttons, instead of the satellite aiming for every city, it was now aimed at the fortress itself.

"Warning this satellite will fire in T-minus 25 minutes. All occupants must evacuate before the fortress is destroyed," the computer said as Noah laughed as he exited the computer room.

Noah also noticed that there was an intruder that was making his way to the central control room as he humphed. "No matter, it's only capable of being opened by me or my family, no one else knows. Now to make my escape out of here," Noah said as he remembered what Mokuba said before Noah took over his body. "Humph, family, what a worthless pile of trash, especially when they betray you like that," Noah said as he left the control room via another exit, although what Mokuba said was still lingering in Noah's mind, which was hard to shake off.

Meanwhile, Seto and Gozoburo were now on the dueling platforms. As both of them were ready to duel, Seto strapped his duel disk to the main computer of the dueling platform to operate with his duel disk as Gozoburo had a regular deck and placed it on the deck slot of the platform.

"Now, Seto, I hope you are ready to lose 'cause I know all your strategies and I won't be going down easily," Gozaburo told Seto, who just wanted to get the duel over with, and was done talking. "Fine be that way, Seto, let's get this duel going," Gozaburo said.

"I'll start by playing the Spell Card called Painful Choice. I'm sure you know what this card does, Seto?" Gozaburo said to Seto, who nodded to show that he did know. Kaiba was curious about why he had that spell card and what his stepfather's plan was. "I show you five cards in my deck and you choose one and I add it to my hand. The others go straight to the graveyard." Gozoburo said as he revealed a set of monsters that made Seto scared and worried.

"It... it can't be. That's Exodia. How did you get those cards, and why are you activating a card that forces you to lose those monsters?" Seto said.

"I am fully aware of your history with these monsters, Seto, and how strong they are, given that they gave you an embarrassing loss to a relative newcomer of all people. Now choose which one you want me to keep. As for my strategy, you'll see in due time," Gozoburo said calmly to Seto, who thought long and hard about it.

"Why would he activate that card to eliminate Exodia of all monsters if he wanted to end this quickly? He could've sent cards to allow him to add those cards to his hand, something is up, but with four pieces gone, that should stop him from getting any more pieces as he could only use one copy per card now," Seto thought as he pointed to the right arm of the forbidden one. "You can have the right arm, and the rest can get out of my sight," Seto said as Gozaburo took the right hand, and the rest were sent to the graveyard.

"With that said, I'll set one monster and end my turn. It's your turn, Seto," Gozaburo said as Seto was unimpressed with all that set-up just for one monster to be set on the field.

"Well, that is a stupid play. Even Wheeler would be able to plan something better than that, and that is putting it lightly, my turn," Seto said and drew for turn. "I summon Vorse Raider in attack mode (1900/1200). Now destroy his facedown monster," Seto commanded his Vorse Raider. It did so, revealing that the facedown monster, which was the Right Arm of the Forbidden One, which confused Seto. "What kind of game are you playing here, Gozaburo?"

"It's all going according to plan, Seto. You'll see soon enough," Gozaburo said as Kaiba sighed.

"I'll set a facedown card and end my turn," Kaiba said as he set a card in the spell and trap card zone.

Meanwhile, Noah was making his way to a helicopter that was preparing to take off. "In less than 15 minutes, this place and everyone in it will be a thing of the past," Noah said as he got on the helicopter as it took off. "Family, hah! What a miserable pile of filth. What's so great about it when they're only holding you back," Noah said. He was entering the helicopter, and it was about to take off. Mokuba's words lingered in Noah's mind. "Ugh, why is that brat still getting to me? He's in the virtual world, and I am him now," Noah said.

"Satelite will fire in 13 minutes," the machine said as Noah started to feel bad and realized his mistake as what Mokuba had said fully got to him.

"What have I done?" Noah said as he got off the helicopter and returned to the central control room, hoping to stop the satellite before it fired when he got to the doorway, Noah arrived to see the entryway destroyed. "Oh, NO! This is bad," Noah said as he ran over to the central computer, only for it to be damaged beyond repair as Noah realized something.

"That intruder did this, and I can't stop it, ugh! I need to warn the others quickly," Noah said, running to the backup computer that controls the world. "I can't stop the satellite, but I can relay the message to get them out of there," Noah said.

Noah reached the backup computer, pressed a few buttons, and put on a headset. "Listen to me, everyone, you need to get out now, I reprogrammed the satellite to target the base itself. I tried to stop it, but someone sabotaged it, so I couldn't stop it. The main computer is destroyed and will fire in about 10 minutes. Please make your way to the arcade, where the exit is. The dancing Game is the exit. Please HURRY," Noah said. Joey and everyone were freaking out and started heading to the arcade as fast as they could. They didn't know if they believed Noah or not, but they knew they couldn't risk it. Ash arrived soon after, Lillie hugged him, glad he was safe.

Inside the arena, Gozaburo was furious. "HOW COULD YOU DO THIS, NOAH," Gozaburo shouted as Seto was laughing at Gozaburo despite the situation. "What's so funny?"

"This is what happens when you trust others and then turn your back on them, Gozaburo. Even your son doesn't trust you anymore; while the situation is grim, you are in no position to demand anything from your son," Seto said.

"Why you, Gozoburo said as he changed into what looked to be a demonic creature and was about to charge at Seto.

Just hold it right there!" Kaiba commanded. Gozaburo halted. "Just look at you; you're not even human; you're just a corrupt computer file infecting the system. If you truly want to prove your power, get back in that corner and finish out this duel! The winner will get to escape in my body."

"Do you really think you can beat me in time?" Gozaburo asked, returning to his dueling platform and to his human form.

"Ugh, you are making a big mistake, Seto, and once I beat you, I will make Noah regrets his decision. If you want to continue, I don't need too long to beat you. Now it's my turn," Gozaburo drew a card. "Now for why I activated my Painful Choice spell card earlier, I play the magic card Contract with Exodia! This magic card can only be activated when all five pieces of Exodia are in the graveyard. By giving up 2000 life points..."

"It allows me to summon the all-mighty Exodia Necross." A darker version of Exodia appeared. "Checkmate, Seto."

"You seem to have forgotten something: your Exodia Necross only has 1800 attack points while Vorse Raider has 1900."

"Exodia Necross, attack his Vorse Raider with Flame of the Dark God!" Exodia Necros started to glow with dark energy. Vorse Raider threw its weapon and clashed with Exodia Necross's fist.

But to Kaiba's shock, Exodia Necros wasn't destroyed!

Gozaburo chuckled, "Exodia Necross can not be destroyed by any monster in battle, plus it gains 1000 attack points whenever it engages in battle."

Gozaburo may think his monster can't be destroyed, but he's mistaken. "I summon Spirit Ryu in attack mode, then I reveal my trap card Burst Breath. By sacrificing my Spirit Ryu, I'm able to destroy all monsters on the field with less than 1000 defense points." Explosions raked Exodia Necross.

But it remained.

"It's still standing, but how?"

"It seems an explanation is in order. Each of the five pieces of Exodia that I sent to the graveyard gives Exodia Necross different abilities. The right leg of Exodia prevents Necross from being destroyed by magic cards, the left leg does the same for trap cards, the left arm prevents it from being destroyed by monster effects, and the right arm gives it the ability to gain 1000 attack points for every battle, and finally, the head of Exodia prevents Exodia Necross from being destroyed by monster attacks."

Kaiba couldn't believe it, "The five pieces of Exodia are strong even in the graveyard! That means I can't destroy Exodia Necross with monster, magic, or trap cards."

"You might as well give up."

"You should know that I never give up," Kaiba declared. "I set one card face-down and switch my Vorse Raider to defense mode."

"Challenging me to a duel was a mistake, but the biggest mistake was ensuring that this duel would end. Face it, Seto, you're finished. You'll regret crossing me once I am done with you," Gozaburo laughed.

Meanwhile, the central computer was counting down. "Warning 9 minutes left until Satellite will fire," the computer said.
