Vermilion: Well good news is that Eko and Eight aren't being charged with anything. The recording of the round the fight broke out in showed it was clearly self defense. On top of that, the ban was changed to a three month one.. thank Callie for that one.

Charger Ace: Thank god. Anything else?

Vermilion: Bad news is the girl Ekolu kicked the shit out of was a former Octo Elite by the name of Maka Azuri and she immediately ousted Ekolu, Callie and myself as NSS Agents when she saw me.

Charger Ace: Oh fuck..

Vermilion: Yeah.. luckily only a few officers and that one detective that we gave the Kensa Intel to heard. Problem is that I don't know if the Octo told Zephyr and she's refusing to talk.

Cheese_Puff: Fuck.. this is bad ain't it?

Charger Ace: Four, you have no fucking idea.

Charger Ace: If word gets out that we are the NSS, we are all in a boat load of shit. And I don't mean legally.

Cheese_Puff: Give me ten minutes. I'm at the Square rn and Zephyr is at Crusty Sean's. And seeing as I talk with members of Zephyr's team every now and then. I'll see if he knows. That being said, he's currently with Vali and his little sister.. I don't exactly know if they were Octarian affiliated though.

Charger Ace: Good. Luckily he doesn't know we are directly associated. As for the Octos, be discreet. There's a good chance they were Octarian affiliated, but there a equal chance they were civies.

Vermilion: I'm gonna have to make him disappear if he's in the know. Fuck..

Charger Ace: Not necessarily. You could bring him in and stress the fact that he needs to keep his mouth shut.

Vermilion: Marie. This is Mistral's brother. If he knows, she knows. And if she knows she will 100% either try to blackmail us or just release the info to fuck with us. Meaning if he knows and told her, I will 100% have to kill them both and dump the bodies in the harbor.

Charger Ace:... I know.

Vermilion: That's why I really really hope that Octo didn't say shit. Because as much as I hate Mistral and Zephyr, I'd rather not having their blood on my hands.

Cheese_Puff: Ok so Zephyr didn't say anything but he was acting real fucking suspicious. I asked what was up with his teammate and he just deflected and immediately dragged the rest of his team to the lobby. So either he knows someone or he's shitting himself because that bitch Maka started shit with your sister and he thinks you are gonna kick his ass.

Vermilion: Fuck it. I'm gearing up and I'm gonna talk to him myself. If he reacts when he sees me then we'll get our answer.

Charger Ace: Be quick. It's gonna rain this afternoon and we all know that the Square is empty during a rainstorm.

(Half an hour later)

"Huh.. that's rare." An Inkling boy said as he ate his Shwaffle.

Parked at the entrance to the Square was an black Quartz Regalia with blacked out windows with the number plate NSS–0. Leaning against the driver side door was a woman wearing a black hooded military outfit with the hood up and some form of visor/mask that was attached to the hood over her face. She was looking at something on her phone at the moment, but it was clear as day she was alert to her surroundings.

Every Octoling present knew immediately who the woman was.

Because after all, Agent 0, the Wraith of Octo Canyon was the stuff of legends. Very, very bad legends.

A moment later she put her phone away and began making her way to the Turf War lobby. And as she did, several of the Octolings along the path stepped back swiftly, much to their Inkling friends/teammates confusion.

As she walked Agent 0's eyes briefly locked onto a short and somewhat fit Inkling teen with short yellow tentacles and tanned skin that was near the stairs to the Grizz co. Building. She was wearing a black crop top with an open yellow jacket and black tights and a pair of yellow and gray sneakers. The girl's dark pink eyes widened for a moment before returning to normal.

After all, Agent 4 had never seen 0 in her full kit before.

Agent 0 came to a halt just as Zephyr and his team exited the lobby only to freeze when they saw the tall, black clad woman before them.

"Zephyr?" The woman asked.

Zephyr nodded "Y-yeah that's me.. who's asking?" The woman before him nodded.

"Agent 0, NSS. I'd like to ask you a few questions about your teammate. One Maka Azuri. Do not worry, it won't take but a few minutes of your time." Agent 0 said as she stalked towards the small group. Causing the Octoling girl to start crying from her mere presence.

"If.. if this is about the fight today we didn't have anything to do with it." Zephyr said, pushing the crying girl behind him and towards her brother "I don't know why she was so insistent on going at Leviathan's sister and her girlfriend, but I told her to knock it off."

0 nodded "That's fair, if a bit surprising given your.. dislike for Naruko Cuttlefish though. However, that's not what I'm here about." She said pulling out her phone "Now in the past, Maka Azuri was a.. let's just say she was a member of a certain.. organization that may or may not be a certain supposedly extinct group."

Hearing this, the older Octoling stepped forward "So… you're here to see if she said anything potentially confidential?" He asked.

"Yes. However, I would like to stress that the three of you aren't in any form of trouble. I'm simply here to enquire… um, sorry your name?"

"Vali. And she never said much about her past.. but I can confirm she has never brought up anything to do with the Octarians or NSS." Vali said honestly, and over the next few minutes Zephyr and his team answered the questions 0 asked them. From minor stuff like how does Maka act during Turf War to more serious things like has she ever discussed odd subjects like the Zapfish or Octoweapons.

0 nodded and put her phone away after Vali answered the last of her questions. "Well then. I guess my business here is done. Have a nice day you three. But I'd get home soon, it's gonna rain pretty hard today."And with that she turned and made her way back to her car.

"Vali… who the fuck was that?" Zephyr asked, still scared shitless.

"That.. that was Agent 0. She's… fuck she's.."

"The Octolings Boogeyman?"

Vali shook his head "No… no she's who gets sent to kill the boogeyman."

Zephyr let out a shudder as he and the whole Square watched Agent 0 get into her car.

'What the fuck did you do Maka..' Vali thought as the Quartz Regalia drove off as it started to rain.

(With Naruko)

Naruko let out a groan has she lowered her hood and mask. Reaching towards the cup holder she grabbed her energy drink and took a long sip.

"This is a pretty sweet car." A voice said from the back seat.

"Yeah. It is." Naruko agreed as she put her drink back. "Pretty dumb sneaking into the car while the attention was on me though, Four."

Four shrugged "Meh, I figured it was safe enough. Besides, I'm not the one that's driving a black version of my own car while on NSS business."

Naruko rolled her eyes. "Yes but my car is platinum and purple with a leviathan decal. Besides, yes a Regalia is expensive but ultimately it's not an uncommon car. Just real professional looking."

They drove in silence for a few minutes after that. The rain and sounds of traffic all that could be heard along with the radio softly playing one of the Squid Sisters latest songs.

"So.." Four broke the silence "That's how Agent 0 gets stuff done? Gotta say, was entirely expecting you to put one of them in a headlock or something."

Naruko laughed "Yeah.. but somethings require a more delicate touch. And believe it or not, I'm pretty damn good at negotiating."

"No shit Miss 'I have two hot girlfriends'."

"Jealous~"

"Very." Four said rolling her eyes. "Also, was that a voice modulator? That's new."

Naruko nodded and explained how it was a new edition to their gear. Mainly to be used for situations like this of course.

Because after a few close calls over the last few weeks were Callie nearly got recognised they finally decided 'hey, let's invest in voice altering tech.' Was it stupid that they didn't have it before? Yeah kinda. But at the time it didn't seem needed.

"Nice gear by the way." Four said while she played with one of the long indigo ribbons on Naruko's shoulder. "When do I get sweet gear like it?"

Naruko shrugged "when we figure out what your speciality is. For example, my stuff is made for peak efficiency in fast paced combat situations while Callie's proper stuff is made to be lightweight but durable for longer skirmishes... And yes, the ribbon and pelt are only there because they look cool."

"Fair enough." Four shrugged before looking at her phone. "Oh hey, Callie said they are all back at your place and that she requires Mc. Donalds. And she posted what everyone wants."

Naruko let out a sigh "All this junk food is gonna go straight to my ass."

"Is that a bad thing? I'm sure Callie and Marie ain't complaining." Four laughed.

"Four."

"Yeah Naruko?"

"Shut up."
