IMPORTANT NEWS: ABL TITLE CHANGE!

Hello everyone! I'm happy to hear that you've been liking the most recent chapter. As a mini update, the next chapter is already 1/3 of the way done, though I am making it shorter than previous. I think having these chapters only be about 15-20k words rather than 30k will help me roll out new content sooner!

But that's not what I want to talk about.

As you know, A Beautiful Lie has been my passion project for the past 5 years, having the title 'ABL' for 4 of those 5 years (OG readers might remember when this story was originally called Colors of Venom lol). Now, I don't like the thought of changing something that the readers are already used to. However, that is the backdraw of a platform like fanfiction. Unlike published writers who have time to iron out and change things before ever going live, fanfiction stories are updated chapter by chapter so any story modifications have to be done while the story is still being rolled out. Case in point, I've been updating past chapters piece by piece in my spare time to reflect my current writing skill (because some of those early chapters were 'woof' pretty bad lol. I mean no shame to my 15 year old self, she did what she could!)

To the topic at hand, I've recently fallen out of love with the title: A Beautiful Lie. Originally, the title had greater significance for a plotpoint I have now scrapped. Without this plotpoint, the title still fits, but I just don't have as much of a connection with it anymore. SO, i've decided to consider an older title that was an original idea way back in the day.

THE CHAIN.

I've considered how this title fits into the story as it is, and I'm happy to say that I think it's even MORE representative of the story than ABL was. However, because all of you have had as big a part in this story's continuation as I have, I wanted to run it by you and also make you aware of any changes that might happen moving forward.

If the feedback I get for this is positive enough, I'll be going forward with this change. So make sure you keep a heads up in case this story updates and you get a notification for "The Chain" instead of "ABL" and you're like wtf is this?

So please please let me know what you think of this change! I love hearing from you guys!

PS, the Tower speech between Peter and TOny would still include the line "Better than a beautiful lie" just as an homage to the OG title and all the OG readers who get the reference ;)
