Volume 7:
Chapter 9: Training Begins
A few weeks later….
We see Sam asleep in his bed. KeeKee was at the foot of said bed, while One-One sat on a bedside table.
NED-B's body sat in a corner in the process of being repaired.
Sam then began to whimper as his dream started to become dark….
….
He was surrounded by endless shadows.
Sam called out, "Dad?"
His voice echoed around him.
He saw a figure in the distance.
Sam said, "Dad? Is that you?"
The figure then came into view.
But it wasn't Obi Wan.
It was Vader.
Sam began to shake in fear as he tried to back away.
Vader reached out towards Sam.
"NO", Sam screamed in fear as he tried to run.
But he started floating in midair.
Sam screamed in fear, "no! No! Let me go! HELP! DAD!"
Sam screamed as he saw up, awakened from his dream.
His screaming woke up KeeKee and One-One.
One-One fell on the ground and exclaimed, "ow, my circuits!"
Sam began to cry as he kept shaking in fear.
Obi Wan quickly burst into the room.
"Dad", Sam cried as he reached his arms towards his father.
Obi Wan went over to his son and hugged him close.
"I had a nightmare", Sam cried.
Obi Wan whispered, "it's okay, I'm here."
"Vader was after me…. In my nightmare", Sam sobbed.
Obi Wan said, "it was just a bad dream. He can't hurt you."
Sam kept crying as his father hugged him close.
Obi Wan held Sam close.
"Shhhh…. Shhhh…. My little one", Obi Wan soothed.
Slowly but surely, Sam calmed down.
"I'll sing you the lullaby to help you get a good night's sleep", Obi Wan said.
Sam nodded.
Obi Wan began to rock Sam as he began to sing the lullaby….
Sam smiled and yawned. He felt his eyelids growing heavy.
Obi Wan smiled as he kept rocking his son to sleep.
Sam was finally asleep once more.
Obi Wan tucked Sam in and covered him with the blanket.
He kissed Sam's forehead.
Sam smiled in his sleep.
Obi Wan smiled down at his son.
Obi Wan then quietly walked out of the room.
Sam would have no more nightmares that night.
….
Sometime later….
Sam was so excited.
Why?
Because today he was gonna begin his training.
He would officially be a padawan!
Sam couldn't stop smiling.
He and Obi Wan would be traveling to various planets to train Sam as a Jedi.
Sam was currently packing his stuff.
That included bringing along NED-B's remains, hoping to repair the droid in his spare time.
And as always making sure he had enough Elixirs.
Sam hoped being more in tune with the force would improve his curse.
Even though the Elixirs still helped him, their effects were slowly wearing off.
Revan had suggested Sam would find a way to control his curse one day.
Sam hoped that to be true.
Anyway, Sam had soon finished packing up.
One-One rolled into the room.
One-One asked, "ready, Master Sam?"
Sam nodded and said, "let's get going."
Sam and KeeKee then began to follow One-One.
In front of the house was a small shuttle.
Obi Wan was there waiting for his son.
He asked, "ready to go?"
Sam nods his head.
Obi Wan held Sam's hand as they got on the shuttle.
One-One and KeeKee followed suit.
The all saw who was piloting the shuttle.
Sam let out a big smile as he saw who it was.
It was Hunter!
Hunter asked, "is everyone all set?"
Everyone got into their seats as Sam said, "ready."
"Well here we go", Hunter said.
The shuttle began to take off.
Sam had a big smile on his face the entire time.
He was so excited!
Once the shuttle was in space, it took off into lightspeed.
Sam asked, "so, where are we headed first?"
"You'll see when we get there", Obi-Wan said.
Sam nodded.
After what seemed like hours, the shuttle came out of hyperspace.
Sam then saw the planet.
It looked much different than Tatooine.
Sam asked, "which planet is this?"
Hunter said, "welcome to Takodana."
The shuttle then entered Takodana's atmosphere.
Sam said, "I've never seen a planet so green."
Obi Wan smiled at his son.
The shuttle soon landed.
Once the ramp lowered down, Sam ran out.
He smiled, seeing all the trees.
He then saw a lake in front of him. He walked over to it.
"So pretty", Sam said in awe.
Obi Wan and Hunter smiled at Sam.
KeeKee purred as she looked around.
One-One rolled over to Sam.
Sam asked, "what training am I going to do on this planet dad?"
Obi Wan said, "training to be patient."
"That doesn't sound hard", Sam said.
Obi Wan said, "having patience is vital for a Jedi. A calm mind is better attuned with the force."
"That sounds easy", Sam said.
Revan said, "easier said than done."
"I'm ready", Sam said.
Obi Wan said, "well then. Let's practice meditating."
Sam nods his head.
Sam and Obi Wan sit next to one another.
KeeKee sat next to One-One as they watched Sam and Obi Wan.
Obi Wan closed his eyes.
Sam closed his eyes as well.
Obi Wan whispered, "clear your mind."
Sam nods his head as he begins to clear his mind.
The world around him faded away.
Hunter, KeeKee and One-One watched all this.
It was quite intriguing.
Sam and Obi Wan kept meditating for a while.
They were in their own little world.
Soon the two stopped their meditating.
Obi Wan said, "very good."
"That was easier than I thought", Sam said.
Obi Wan said, "it is not easy for everyone."
Sam asked, "really?"
"For your real father, it wasn't easy for him being patient", Obi Wan said.
Sam giggled.
Obi Wan smiled and pats Sam's head.
Sam asked, "what's next?"
"You need to learn how to be aware of your surroundings and be able sense when danger is near", Obi Wan said.
Sam nodded and said, "that'll be interesting."
"I want you to be prepared for anything Sam…. So you won't be caught off guard", Obi Wan said.
Sam nodded and said, "okay, dad."
Sam knew why his father wanted him to be prepared like that…. It was because of Order 66.
When almost every clone trooper was ordered to kill their Jedi comrades.
Almost all of the Jedi were taken by surprise, that they didn't have the chance to properly defend themselves.
Only a third of the order had survived.
So Sam understood why he had to train to be prepared to sense any danger that would come his way.
They went to an empty field to practice this.
"I'm ready father", Sam said.
Obi Wan nodded as he handed Sam a vibro blade in order to practice.
Sam then closed his eyes as he began to connect with the force to sense his surroundings.
Obi Wan activated a small training droid.
The training droid flew above Sam.
Sam sensed for it.
The Training droid then fired a shot at Sam. Sam quickly blocked the shot.
"Woah, that was fast", One One exclaimed.
Hunter nodded in agreement.
The training droid then fired more shots at Sam. Sam did his best to deflect the blasts.
One of the blasts hit Sam in the leg. Sam fell to one knee.
KeeKee ran over to Sam and she whined as she was worried.
Sam said, "I'm okay, KeeKee. I'm okay."
KeeKee licked Sam's face as she purred.
Sam said, "I've gotta continue, KeeKee. Stand back."
KeeKee let out a nod as she ran back to the others.
Sam slowly stood back up.
The training droid then began to fire blasts at Sam again.
Sam deflects them left and right.
There were a few times the blasts hit Sam.
But Sam kept going!
After a while, Obi Wan deactivated the droid.
He said, "well done for your first time."
Sam smiled at his father.
He said, "thanks dad."
Then antlers emerged from Sam's head!
Sam said, "oh nuts. Elixir!"
One-One quickly ran to Sam's backpack and pulled out an Elixir.
He handed it to him, and Sam quickly gulped it all down.
The antlers then disappeared.
Sam sighed in relief.
"I promise I will help you learn how to control your curse Sam", Revan said.
Sam nodded to Revan.
"Let's take a rest for a moment", Obi Wan said.
Sam said, "okay."
"Is anyone hungry? I had already made lunch for everyone", Hunter said.
Sam said, "I could eat."
The group then went back to the ship to eat lunch.
Hunter cooked up lunch for them all.
The Lunch was delicious.
Hunter was a good cook.
Soon the group was done with lunch.
Sam asked, "Dad, when will I get my own lightsaber?"
Obi Wan said, "you've still a long way to go before you're ready to wield a lightsaber, Sam."
"Okay", Sam said with a little pout on his face.
Obi Wan and Hunter chuckled.
KeeKee jumped onto Sam and began to lick his face.
Sam giggled happily.
He knew this was gonna be the start of an awesome adventure….
….
A few weeks later….
Sam was outside with KeeKee.
He was petting her as he stared up at the star filled sky.
KeeKee purred as Sam kept petting her.
Sam said, "good girl."
KeeKee purred as she once again jumped onto Sam and began to lick his face.
Sam giggled in joy, KeeKee loved to do this.
As Sam held his feline companion, they heard a strange noise.
Sam asked, "KeeKee, did you hear that?"
KeeKee nodded.
"Let's go check it out…. I just hope dad doesn't ground me for doing this", Sam said as he muttered the last part.
KeeKee shapeshifted into her blue beast form.
Sam and KeeKee went towards where they heard the noise.
As they got closer, they saw…. A meteor?
It was hurtling down into a field!
"It's coming down fast", Sam said.
Sam and KeeKee got a safe distance away.
The meteor then crashed down on the field.
Sam and KeeKee cautiously approached.
Sam got a closer look at the meteor.
It had a huge crack in the middle.
Sam asked, "what's that?"
The crack grew bigger.
KeeKee stood in front of Sam.
She growled lightly.
Sam peeked from behind KeeKee.
Some black slime was coming out of the meteor.
Sam muttered, "what the…?"
KeeKee growled as the slime kept coming out.
"I've never seen anything like that", Sam said.
The slime began to form into something.
KeeKee growled as she stood in front of Sam.
Sam said, "easy girl."
Sam then saw the form the black slime took.
It looked similar to a bi-pedal cat.
"It looks cute", Sam said.
More defined features began to form. White paws resembling gloves, a white face with big black eyes.
"Awww, it looks so adorable", Sam said.
The creature tilted its head to the side.
Sam walked out from behind KeeKee and approached the creature.
The creature quickly hid behind the meteor.
"Hey, it's okay, I'm not gonna hurt you", Sam said softly.
The creature tilted his head.
Sam reached out his hand with a smile on his face. The creature slowly came out.
KeeKee then shapeshifted back to normal.
The creature slowly approached Sam.
Sam said, "it's okay. I'm a friend."
Sam kept his hand out and the creature slowly reached his hand to Sam's.
Sam smiled as the creature took his hand.
The creature then let out a smile.
Sam smiled back.
"My name is Sam Kenobi and this is KeeKee", Sam said.
KeeKee meowed.
Sam asked, "do you have a name?"
The creature nods his head.
Sam asked, "what is it?"
The creature then looked like it tried to speak.
It struggled to say so.
"It's okay, take your time", Sam said.
The creature finally managed to say a single thing.
"Bendy."
Sam smiled and said, "nice name."
Bendy let out another smile.
Sam chuckled lightly.
Obi Wan called out, "Sam! KeeKee! Where are you two?"
Sam called out, "over here, Dad!"
Bendy looked a little scared.
Sam said, "it's okay, Bendy. It's just my Dad."
Bendy tilted his head.
Sam said, "he's a friend, don't worry."
Obi Wan then arrived and was shocked at the sight of Bendy.
Sam said, "it's okay, dad. He's a friend."
Bendy peeked from behind Sam. He looked very shy.
"Don't be afraid, Bendy, you can trust him", Sam said.
Bendy walked out shyly.
"Hello there", Obi Wan said.
Bendy gave a small smile.
Obi Wan asked, "where did he come from?"
"He came from this meteor", Sam said.
Sam pointed to said meteor.
"That's fascinating", Obi Wan said.
Sam nodded in agreement.
Sam asked, "can Bendy come home with us?"
Obi Wan was a little shocked by the question.
"Please Dad, Bendy doesn't have anywhere else to go", Sam said as he made puppy dog eyes.
Obi Wan couldn't fight the puppy dog eyes.
"Okay, he can come home with us", Obi Wan said.
Sam smiled from ear to ear.
As did Bendy.
Obi Wan led them all back to camp.
Bendy stayed close to Sam the entire time.
He was like another pet.
When Hunter and One-One saw Bendy…. They too were shocked.
They had never seen a creature like him before.
Bendy was feeling shy and he stayed close to Sam the entire time. He acted like a shy little brother.
Sam found Bendy to be so adorable.
He was like a child.
Sam knew this was gonna be the start of an amazing friendship….
….
A few months later….
Sam was now 11, and progressing in his training.
His group was traveling to another planet to meet up with a certain Jedi.
Sam could not stop smiling.
He'd be entering the next step of his training on a new planet!
Sam then heard Bendy making noises in his sleep.
He snored lightly on his lap.
Sam smiled and pats Bendy's head.
Bendy smiled in his sleep.
"We're here", Hunter said as the shuttle was now in front of the planet.
Sam asked, "which planet is it?"
"Dantooine", Obi Wan said.
Sam said, "cool."
The shuttle then entered the planet's atmosphere.
The planet looked like a giant wheat field.
The shuttle then landed.
Sam was the first one to run out the ship.
He was amazed by the peaceful beauty of the planet.
"About time you showed up."
The group turned to see Ahsoka sitting on a large boulder.
Sam smiled and ran over to her.
Ahsoka jumped down and said, "hey Skyguy…."
Sam let out a giggle at that nickname.
Ahsoka asked, "ready to start training?"
Sam nods his head in excitement.
Ahsoka said, "the next part of your training will be learning the history of the Jedi."
Now Sam was excited, he couldn't wait to hear the history of the Jedi.
Ahsoka said, "follow me to the Jedi temple…."
Sam began to follow Ahsoka.
As did the others.
It took a few, but they made it to the temple.
It was an old building.
"Woah", Sam said in awe.
Ahsoka said, "yep. One of the oldest Jedi temples out there."
Bendy and KeeKee tilted their heads as they saw the temple.
Revan said, "this temple was where I was trained after losing my memories."
'Really? That's so cool Uncle Revan', Sam said in his mind.
Revan smiled under his mask.
The group then heads inside the temple.
The main courtyard had an old tree in the center.
Revan said in surprise, "that tree is still there after all this time?"
Sam gave a light chuckle.
The group then stopped in front of the tree.
Ahsoka said, "this place will be where your training will continue, Sam."
Sam smiled in awe.
He was so excited.
Ahsoka smiled at Sam's excitement.
She was also excited to teach Sam.
Sam asked, "can we start now?"
"Sure, Lil' Skyguy", Ahsoka said as she smiled.
Thus began Sam's next stage of training….
Sam got to learn a lot about the history of the Jedi. They'd been around for a very long time.
He got to learn about a lot of important events the Jedi were involved in.
Such as the war against the Sith and Mandalorians.
Even the blockade of Naboo and the battle of Geonosis.
And then came the story of the clone wars….
Sam's eyes went wide in awe as Ahsoka and Obi Wan told him about all the battles his real father and she participated in.
It was amazing.
But then came the story of why Ahsoka left the Jedi Order.
She had been framed!
For bombing the Jedi Temple. Though the culprit was revealed to be Ahsoka's friend Barriss Offee.
Ahsoka had been heartbroken over this.
But she was also heartbroken that the Jedi council quickly lost faith in her and turned her over to the Republic military.
Even after she was proven innocent, Ahsoka chose not to come back to the Jedi Order.
Obi Wan honestly didn't blame her.
Sam felt really bad for Ahsoka.
As did Hunter, who actually gave Ahsoka a hug.
Ahsoka smiled as she returned the hug.
Everyone smiled at this.
Ahsoka and Obi Wan then continued to tell Sam more stories of the clone wars.
They were all so captivating.
But then came the saddest stories.
These seemed to occur near the end of the war.
The first being Anakin's turn to the dark side.
Order 66 being carried out.
Anakin and Obi Wan's duel on Mustafar.
And a few other events.
This made Sam feel sympathy for his father and Ahsoka.
He gave them both a hug.
Ahsoka and Obi Wan smiled at Sam's kindness.
He truly was Padme's son.
Sam then let out a yawn.
He was tired, it seemed.
Ahsoka asked softly, "is someone tired?"
Sam nodded tiredly.
Obi Wan picked up Sam.
"Aww, he looks so adorable", Ahsoka said.
Then what Sam said next nearly made Ahsoka's heart melt.
"Night mom…."
Sam was too tired to realize what he said.
Hunter said in shock, "did he just…. Call you…. Mom?"
Ahsoka said, "I…. I think he did…."
Sam was fast asleep in his father's arms.
Ahsoka said, "I…. I'll show you to your rooms."
Obi Wan nods his head as he follows Ahsoka.
Hunter, One-One, KeeKee and Bendy followed.
Sam let out soft snores as he slept in his father's arms.
They soon got to Sam's room, and Obi Wan tucked Sam in.
KeeKee jumped onto the bed.
She curled up by Sam's feet.
Bendy then got into his own bed.
He smiled and yawned.
Bendy then fell asleep.
The adults quietly left the room.
Sam smiled in his sleep as he had peaceful dreams.
….
The next day….
Sam was with Ahsoka and Obi Wan.
Ahsoka was holding two sticks.
Sam was holding a stick as well.
Sam asked, "why sticks?"
Ahsoka said, "I don't wanna risk either of us getting hurt during training."
"Oh", Sam said in understanding.
Ahsoka said, "now, there's multiple forms of saber combat to learn."
Sam asked, "what do they look like?"
Ahsoka then began to show Sam the different Lightsaber combat forms.
The one she preferred, using a reverse grip. And how she preferred to use two lightsabers instead of one.
Sam was intrigued by this.
He really liked that lightsaber combat form.
It seemed to be the one for him.
"I want to train to learn that lightsaber combat form", Sam said.
Ahsoka smiled at this.
"Well then, you got the best teacher to train you in that combat style", Ahsoka said.
Sam chuckled.
After that Ahsoka then began to train Sam….
For days and days, she trained Sam in combat. Sam was slowly getting used to gripping his training sticks in a reverse grip.
He and Ahsoka both used the same combat style as their preferred way of fighting.
Sam was also learning how to do Ahsoka's battle stance.
He believed it was called; the Shota stance.
But he was slowly getting the hang of it.
Each day yielded more progress.
Ahsoka and Obi Wan were proud of Sam.
He was a great student.
They knew he would become a great Jedi.
Maybe even one of the best.
But the only problem was Sam's curse.
He couldn't get any control of it.
And it seemed the Elixir's were starting to lose more and more effect.
He needed more Elixir's each day.
Sam was getting more worried and scared.
He needed to find a way to control his curse!
But then came that day….
….
Sam was meditating with Bendy by his side.
But then antlers sprouted from Sam's head!
Sam yelled, "dang nabit!"
Bendy then looked scared as he searched for an Elixir.
But there were none in sight.
"OH Noooooooooo", Sam yelled as he began to transform into the deer beast.
Bendy backed up in fright.
Sam roared and it echoed throughout the temple.
Hunter had been walking towards Ahsoka's room when he heard it!
Ahsoka and Obi Wan had also heard the roar.
Obi Wan said, "oh no…."
Sam then smashed through the temple wall as he growled.
Bendy was running around in fear.
Hunter exclaimed, "Sam!?"
Sam turned around and snarled as he saw Hunter.
He started going towards them.
Hunter started to back away.
"Sam, snap out of it", Hunter exclaimed.
Sam kept growling.
Ahsoka and Obi Wan ran out of their rooms.
They saw Sam growling as he went towards Hunter.
Sam lifted his clawed hand as he was about to strike Hunter when…. Something jumped on top of Sam!
Hunter exclaimed, "what was that!?"
They saw that a large creature with slimy black skin, no eyes and razor sharp teeth had tackled Sam!
Ahsoka said in shock, "wait is that…. Bendy!?"
Bendy roared, "ELIXIR! NOW!"
"I'm on it", One-One shouted.
Sam then growled as he kicked Bendy off him.
Bendy and Sam roared at one another.
"Sam! Stop! This isn't you", Obi Wan shouted.
Sam didn't listen.
Sam snarled and growled.
"One-One, hurry up", Ahsoka shouted.
We then see inside Sam's mind.
Sam was basically a prisoner of his own mind at that moment.
"I hate this! I wanna stop myself from hurting my family", Sam said.
Revan then appeared next to Sam.
"Uncle Revan", Sam said.
He hugged his dear friend close.
Revan held Sam close.
"I'll help you little one", Revan said.
Sam asked, "how?"
Revan then placed his hand on Sam's head.
"Calm your mind", Revan said.
Sam took a deep breath and closed his eyes.
He tried to calm his mind down.
He kept taking deep breaths.
"That's it, keep it up little one", Revan said
Sam kept focusing.
Sam could feel himself regaining control of his mind.
The beast he'd become began to slowly stop snarling.
Hunter asked, "wait, is he calming down?"
Obi Wan asked, "how is this possible?"
One-One then came in with the Elixir.
He said, "I've got it!"
Then to their shock Sam grabbed the Elixir.
He brought it to his lips and gulped it down.
Sam then began to turn back to normal.
Obi Wan ran to his son as Bendy started turning to normal as well.
Sam groaned as he touched his head.
He said, "that sucked."
Obi Wan asked, "Sam? How did you do that?"
Sam said, "Revan told me to calm down, focus and all that."
"And by the looks of it, that allowed you to regain control", Ahsoka said.
Sam said, "it appears so."
Bendy ran over to hug Sam.
Sam hugged him back.
"Bendy was worried and he actually stopped you from attacking me", Hunter said.
Sam said, "I saw…. I had no idea Bendy could transform like that."
Bendy fiddled with his hands.
Sam smiled down at Bendy.
"Thank you, Bendy", Sam said.
Bendy smiled up at Sam. Bendy hugged Sam again. Sam smiled as he hugged back.
The others smiled at the sight. It was a truly touching moment.
'Thank you Uncle Revan', Sam said in his mind.
Revan said, "you're welcome, little buddy."
Revan pats Sam's head.
Sam chuckled.
Sam was thankful that Revan was able to help him.
This would help make his curse easier to deal with.
Sam still hoped that he would one day find out who was the cloaked figure who cursed him. But for now, he was just happy to be in control of his curse in some way.
….
Sometime later….
We see Sam in his bedroom being hugged by Revan.
Sam giggled as he hugged Revan.
He was always a source of comfort for the young padawan.
And Sam loved the affection.
Revan continued to hold Sam.
Sam smiled, but then it went away as a thought entered his mind.
Revan showed up because of Sam's curse.
But if in the future…. If Sam was able to get rid of his curse…. Would that get rid of Revan too?
Revan then sensed a change in Sam's emotions.
He said, "something troubles you?"
"Yes Uncle Revan…. I'm afraid that if I am able to get rid of my curse…. I might never see you again", Sam said.
Revan said, "I wouldn't worry about that. I'm a ghost. If the curse is cured, I'll most likely no longer be stuck in your head, but would probably still be able to see you."
Sam asked, "you mean it, Uncle Revan?"
Revan nodded and said, "I'm sure of it."
Sam smiled and hugged Revan even more.
Revan smiled under his mask as he held Sam closer.
"Besides, I could never say goodbye to you little one…. You've become part of my…. Well…. Life…. Or should I say afterlife", Revan said softly.
Sam giggled lightly.
Revan held Sam close to him.
Sam yawned and began to doze off.
Revan smiled under his mask as he saw Sam fall asleep in his arms.
Revan then tucked Sam into his bed.
Sam smiled in his sleep.
Things were getting much better from here on in….
….
We then see a 12 year old Sam.
He and Ahsoka were doing stretches as Hunter and the others watched.
Hunter could not keep his eyes off Ahsoka.
His face went red as Ahsoka bent down, her shapely rear in the air.
Bendy saw Hunter staring at Ahsoka and he tilted his head.
One-One scanned Hunter and thought, 'his body temperature seems to be rising.'
Sam and Ahsoka still kept doing stretches for a while.
Sam felt much more limber afterwards.
"When will Dad come back? He's been gone for a while", Sam asked.
Hunter said, "he should be back soon, getting supplies and whatnot."
"I'm getting worried", Sam said.
Ahsoka said, "your dad's a smart man, he'll be fine."
"You're right, thanks mom", Sam said.
Ahsoka smiled warmly.
She was flattered that Sam saw her like a mom. Especially since she'd been so close to Padme.
One-One then detected a ship entering the planet.
"Looks like Master Kenobi is here", One-One said.
Sam smiled in excitement and relief. Sam then saw his father enter the temple. Sam ran to his father with a big smile.
Obi Wan smiled as he hugged his son.
Sam said, "I missed you, dad."
"So did I, my little one", Obi Wan said softly.
Sam asked, "what kept you?"
Obi Wan said, "I ran into an old…. I guess you could say friend."
Sam asked, "a friend?"
Obi Wan nodded.
Then someone walked in and Sam got a look at them.
They were a tall woman with porcelain white skin, long black hair shaved on one side, and a dark blue outfit.
Ahsoka said in shock, "Ventress?!"
Ventress gave an awkward wave.
Sam said with a tilt of his head, "Ventress?"
Obi Wan said, "she was Count Dooku's apprentice, before he betrayed her."
"Oh", Sam said in understanding.
Ahsoka said, "but why is she here of all places?"
Both Obi Wan and Ventress had blushes on their faces.
Ahsoka said, "wait a minute…. You and her?!"
Ventress said, "it happened shortly after Order 66. The heat of the moment and all that."
Sam, Bendy and KeeKee tilted their heads.
Hunter started snickering.
Revan then told Sam what Ahsoka meant.
Sam cringed when he heard that.
Revan snickered a little.
Sam thought, 'ew….'
But despite that…. He was happy for his father.
Ahsoka said, "guess all that flirting you two did during the war wasn't just for fun."
"You are right on that part", Obi Wan said.
Ventress gave a sultry chuckle.
Sam just covered his ears.
Hunter started laughing.
….
Sometime later….
Sam was practicing with Ahsoka with their training sticks.
Sam really wanted to get his two lightsabers. He was determined to prove himself.
Sam used one of his training sticks to defend himself from Ahsoka's training stick.
He had become a pro at this.
Sam then did a backflip to avoid a strike from Ahsoka's training stick.
Ahsoka said, "good. You've definitely improved."
"Thanks mom", Sam said.
Ventress asked as she sat with the others, "mom?"
"Sam sees Ahsoka as a mother figure", Obi Wan explained.
Ventress said, "ah, I see."
Sam asked, "when can I get my own lightsabers?"
Ahsoka said, "very soon. You're almost ready. But remember; wielding a lightsaber is a huge responsibility."
"Okay Mom", Sam said.
Ahsoka smiled at Sam.
The others smiled at the sight.
They could see the bond forming between the two.
….
We then see a 13 year old Sam in his room.
And he was struggling to put on his first bra.
Yep, a bra.
Sam preferred to wear women's clothing.
In fact, he decided when he turned 13, he would start to wear women's underwear as well.
His father thankfully accepted him for it.
That made Sam happy.
But his only problem was trying to get his bra on.
It was tough.
"Need help sweety?"
Sam turned around to see Ahsoka.
Sam said, "yes please."
Ahsoka walked over and helped Sam with his bra.
It took a few moments to do so.
"Thank you mom, it's still hard for me to learn how to put on a bra", Sam said.
Ahsoka said, "you'll learn, eventually."
"I hope so", Sam said.
Ahsoka gave a light chuckle and patted Sam on the head.
Sam smiled a little.
Ahsoka said, "now, go ahead and finish getting dressed, sweety."
Sam nods his head as he finishes getting dressed.
He was dressed in blue robes.
Sam asked, "how do I look Mom?"
"Great Sam", Ahsoka said as she smiled.
Sam giggled in joy as he hugged his adopted mother.
Ahsoka hugged back and said, "c'mon, let's continue training."
Sam smiled as he followed his adopted mother….
The rest of the day was spent practicing a mixture of lightsaber and blaster combat.
And Sam was slowly getting better as time passed.
He had his birth fathers immense talent. And his strong connection to the force. His skill with a blaster came from his mother.
He clearly inherited a lot of his birth parents' traits.
As well as learning skills from his adopted parents.
This made both Obi Wan and Ahsoka proud of Sam as his training continued….
….
One year later….
We see Sam with Ahsoka and Obi Wan.
They were on a shuttle.
Bendy and KeeKee were sitting next to Sam.
Sam had an excited look on his face.
Today was a very important day.
He was finally going to get to build his lightsabers.
They were currently headed to the planet where every Jedi got their Kyber crystal.
Ilum.
Though they had to fly the shuttle to a secret part of the planet due to the empire mining the planet for its Kyber crystals.
Ahsoka and Obi Wan hoped one day the Empire would be driven away from Illum.
The shuttle then landed on the icy planet.
Hunter said, "welcome to Illum, everybody."
"It's so cold", Sam said as he shivered
Ahsoka said, "that's why we brought coats."
Sam quickly put on his coat.
The shuttle's ramp lowered.
The group made their way out of the ship, bundled up.
Bendy shivered as he hugged himself.
Ahsoka handed him an extra coat.
"Thanks", Bendy said.
The group then head towards a cave.
They entered and found themselves in a temple.
Ahsoka stood before everyone and pulled out her lightsaber. She carefully deconstructed it to show the crystal within as she slowly reassembled it and said, "the Kyber crystal is essential. The crystal is the heart of the blade. The heart is the crystal of the Jedi. The Jedi is the crystal of the force. The force is the blade of the heart. All are intertwined. The crystal. The blade. The Jedi. You are one."
She finished reassembling her weapon.
Sam had a look of awe on his face.
Obi Wan said, "this'll be where you'll find a Kyber crystal, and then build your lightsaber."
Sam asked, "so I have to go in there alone?"
Ventress said, "every padawan must."
Sam asked his father, "can I really do this dad?"
Obi Wan said, "I have faith in you, son."
Sam smiled. He then looked towards the entrance to where the crystals were.
"Bendy can go with you", Ahsoka said.
Sam said, "oh thank the force."
Bendy smiled as he walked towards Sam.
KeeKee looked a little jealous. Ventress then petted the kitty. KeeKee purred.
Sam and Bendy then made their way into the cave….
Sam asked, "woah this place is so big. How am I gonna find my crystal?"
Bendy simply shrugged.
Sam and Bendy kept walking through the icy tunnels.
As they kept walking, Sam suddenly tripped.
Bendy quickly ran to help Sam stand up.
Sam groaned from a small cut on his knee.
Bendy then began to lick the wound. And to Sam's surprise, it began to heal.
Sam said, "well I'll be…. You're just full of surprises."
Bendy let out a smile as he gave a thumbs up.
Sam said as he stood up, "thanks, buddy. Now c'mon, let's find my Kyber crystals."
Bendy nods his head.
Sam and Bendy continue on.
"This is gonna take forever", Sam muttered.
As they kept looking around, Sam began to hear something.
Sam asked, "do you hear that, Bendy?"
Bendy shook his head.
Sam wondered what the sound was.
Sam kept walking in the direction of the sound.
Bendy followed close behind.
The sound kept getting louder and louder.
Sam whispered, "I think we're on the right track."
Bendy nods his head.
They kept getting closer and closer.
Sam then saw something in the distance.
It was glowing!
Sam walked towards the light.
Bendy stood back.
Sam knew what that light was.
He saw that they were two Kyber crystals, sitting together in a block of ice.
"Two crystals", Sam said in awe.
Sam needed to break the ice.
Sam said, "but how?"
Revan popped up and said, "use the force, Sam."
Sam then closed his eyes and stretched his hand out.
The ice slowly began to crack.
Bendy watched in awe.
The ice all cracked apart!
The two Crystals then flew into Sam's hands. Sam smiled as he held them.
Bendy clapped his hands.
Sam chuckled and turned to Bendy and said, "let's head back to the others."
Bendy gives a thumbs up as he nods his head.
The two began making their way back to the others.
We then see the group still waiting for Sam and Bendy.
Hunter kept glancing at Ahsoka during this.
One-One and KeeKee noticed this.
KeeKee purred, as she figured out what was going on.
"Dad!"
Everyone turned to see Sam and Bendy leaving the cave.
Sam walked towards his father and adopted mother.
He showed them the two crystals he found.
Obi Wan and Ahsoka smiled.
"You did it little one", Obi-Wan said as he pats his son's head.
Sam smiled happily.
Ahsoka asked, "how did it feel being in that cave searching for your crystal?"
Sam said, "it felt…. Strange…. Quiet…."
"That's how I felt when I searched for my crystal", Ahsoka said.
Obi Wan said, "mine as well."
Sam smiled.
Ahsoka said, "now with two crystals, you'll need to build two sabers."
"Yay", Sam said in joy.
Hunter said, "back to the ship we go."
The group then heads back to the shuttle….
….
Later, back at the temple….
We see Sam holding in his hands, his newly built lightsabers.
They resembled the ancient weapons known as katanas.
"Nice designs, my son", Obi Wan said.
Sam said, "thanks dad."
"Now activate them", Ahsoka said.
Sam nodded as he activated his sabers.
Each blade was a different color.
One yellow, one cyan.
"Woah, so pretty and cool", Sam said.
Ahsoka said, "I had a green and yellow saber."
"Really, that's cool mom", Sam said.
Ahsoka chuckled.
"I can say that Sam is going to be a great and deadly Jedi on the battlefield", Hunter said.
Sam smiled at Hunter.
"I agree with Hunter on this one", Ventress said.
Sam said, "thanks."
Ahsoka asked, "well ready to start training with your Lightsabers?"
Sam nodded in excitement.
Ahsoka then led Sam to the training room….
