"...Hnng?..."

Gumball woke up suddenly, sitting up slowly as he rubbed his eyes. Rattling of metal was heard, much to his confusion. He glanced around at the surroundings, realizing where he was.

He was now inside an almost brick walled room, with cell bars in front. Chains were on his wrists and ankles, along with his chest it seems, as he was barely able to move properly with the metal restraining him. Jail.

The cat soon grew frantic, as the memories of earlier came flooding back. He desperately pulled on the chains, trying to move to the front with all the strength he had. However, it was proven to be useless.

Gumball screamed, tears falling down his face as he pulled on them over and over, kicking and fighting as hard as he could. The fire rose, but soon sank down, not having a proper place to burn anything. The chains only rattled, as nothing but the sound of the sinking crackling fire echoed through the area.

"LET ME OUT, I'M SORRY! PLEASE!" He cried. The dead students were haunting his mind, as he was absolutely struck with grief and fear. Was this a nightmare? Where was his family? Had they given up on him too?

Gumball had now finally stopped, tired from the constant kicking and flailing around. "...I'm sorry…" His words were shaky, as he fell onto his knees, tears dripping onto the cold cement.

There was no happy ending. He was trapped. Trapped in his own mistakes, the horrible consequences had caught up to him. Nobody was there. Nobody would ever be there.

Hearing footsteps, he looked up, seeing a tall man watch him from outside the cell. The feline didn't dare utter a word, the cold stare he received practically silencing him. The last thing he needed was worse punishment.

After a few seconds, the stare loosened slightly. "Here, make it quick." The man said, gesturing to the cell as he stood back, not keeping his eyes off the cat. The family came running in comedically as per usual. They were there. He was gonna be okay.

Gumball was relieved, almost joyful, but.. frowned. Nicole was nowhere in sight. "...Where's mom?..." The thought of her injured or worse increased his fear.

"..She's not dead, don't worry.." Darwin made an effort to hold onto the cell bars, but soon withdrew back, wincing in pain. Where his fins once were, had been shortened, bandages on the little nubs. The fish didn't bother trying to do the action again.

"...W-What happened to your fins?..."

"..Um…" The goldfish noticed the cat's frightened mood, as he tried his best to explain. "...They had to… Cut off some of em'... They were too damaged…"

Gumball was now terrified, his paws shaking. Unknowingly, small flames crackled underneath him. "...I hurt you… Didn't I?..."

"Dude it's okay, I'm fine.. It was just a little bit of the-"

"That's not just 'a little bit'! They're gone! And so are those other people!" Tears came back, as Gumball looked almost angry at this. The chains slightly jerked at the sudden movement, as he flinched in pain.

"But it wasn't your fault!"

"STOP LYING TO ME!" The fire finally rose, flickering and powerful as it was threatening to leak out from the cell. "IT IS MY FAULT! THEY'RE ALL DEAD BECAUSE OF ME!"

The fire grew reckless, Anais quickly stepping back as it almost hit her. As she quickly moved aside, it ended up striking a nearby desk, the furniture now burnt to a charred black.

"Alright that's enough, this is getting out of hand!" The policeman motioned for the family to quickly leave, to which they did so. Gumball fell to his knees, crying as another dart hits him. Before he knew it, he was out.

"Gumball, wake up!"

"..Wait what?.. Ugh not again…"

He wakes up to find himself in complete darkness, the person he was just talking to nowhere to be seen. "..Hello?.."

Gumball walked around, but was soon stopped abruptly, as a familiar looking fire being greets him. Its red, yellow and orange colors glowed, the light reflecting off him.

"We've been waiting to talk to you Gumball.."

The cat flinched, as more creatures showed up and circled around him. "What do you want?! Did you do all this?!" He backed away, but they only came closer. "Get away from me!"

"Don't be silly, that was all your doing."

The flame beings soon morph into familiar people Gumball recognized, from neighbors, to his own family. They smiled sinisterly, circling around him.

"You're the loser after all." A being that looked like Miss Simian cackled.

In panic, Gumball tried to run away, but was trapped, forced to hear the cruel words ring in his ears.

"They're all deaddd!"

"You never think of your actions!"

"Everyone gets hurt when you're aroundd!"

"Stop it isn't true!" He shouted. The cat's eyes widened in fear, as he saw a new figure come closer, the flame creatures stepping aside to let it through.

It now shaped into his mother, with burning flesh seen melting away on her face and body. The creature grabs him by the sweater collar, lifting him up until he was face-to-face with her. She only looked at him with her horrid zombie like eyes.

Gumball gagged at the smell of her, as he struggled in her grasp, trying to escape. His eyes widened in terror, as the thing, in a dark, harsh, tone began to speak.

"You are nothing but a monster. They're all dead, and now the rest are in danger."

The fake Nicole dropped him, still retaining the cold stare. He fell over to the ground, yelling out in pain as the creatures around him laughed at his misery.

Gumball did not get up, only crying horribly. Flames grew around him, as the screeching of the fire beast was heard in the darkness. The fire beast he created. The one that he used to kill. He had killed.

The cat woke back up suddenly, startled by the nightmare. His eyes felt droopy and tired, surroundings blurry. "Oh.. I guess it was all just a dream.."

Relieved, he sat up, expecting to feel the carpet of him and his siblings' bedroom. As soon as his feet touch the floor, his mood darkens.

Gumball fully opened his eyes, greeted by the same cell from earlier, chains and all.

He was still stuck here.

None of this was a dream.
