Silver went to the corner where they met Tails, they wore their new sneakers, jeans and the Queen shirt, "Had a nice weekend?" Silver asked.
"Yeah, I had helped my dad further with his project it's really getting somewhere!"
"That's great!"
"And how was your weekend?" Tails asked as they walked to school.
Silver smiled sheepishly and looked at Tails, "Well…"
"What?" Tails asked curious.
"Don't be mad, but I went out and had dinner with Shadow."
Tails looked a bit puzzled, "Of course I'm not mad, but like I said the last time, just be careful."
"I know and I'm being careful, don't worry."
"Then it's okay, so how come you two went out?"
"Shadow wanted to make up for getting me in detention."
"That's nice of him," Tails replied sincere. "Was it like a date?" Silver suppressed a smile and nodded, "So you two are together now?" Silver didn't really know that yet so they made a doubtful gesture. "Does he know what you are yet?" Tails asked carefully.
But before they could answer Silver's ears perked up as they heard a motorcycle engine and looked around excitedly as their heart skipped a beat. Shadow approached on his motorcycle and stopped in front of them. Silver walked over with a slight blush on their cheeks.
"Good morning Shadow, it's good to see you," Silver said hopeful.
"Good to see you too," Shadow took Silver's hand and pulled them closer and he looked down at them. "Nice shirt," Shadow said with a grin.
"Thanks, I like it too," Silver said as they looked up at Shadow who wanted to lean in to give them a kiss.
"You guys, we're getting late," Tails interrupted, they both snapped out of it, Silver felt awkward as Tails must feel uncomfortable seeing this. Silver pulled away from Shadow.
"See you in class," Silver said, Shadow nodded and drove off.
Silver and Tails sat in the classroom and Shadow came in early. Silver smiled over at him, Shadow walked toward Silver and sat next to them. Silver was surprised as Shadow always sat at the back. They smiled at him, "Aren't you going to sit at the back with Espio?"
"I wanted to sit with you," Shadow replied. Silver had a slight colour on their cheeks.
Now that Shadow was sitting next to them it was sort of easier to concentrate because now they didn't have to look all the way to the back to see what Shadow was doing. Besides that Silver now knew what Shadow was feeling which made it all much easier. They regularly looked over at each other and smiled before turning back to their work. Shadow really felt motivated by Silver to participate in the class.
The weather showed that the seasons were changing, it was cloudy and windy but it also felt really stuffy as it was still hot outside. Every evening Shadow would stay over on the fire escape in the alley without Silver knowing. They really had a good time together, but Silver started to worry as they felt Shadow wanted more. They started to feel guilty as Shadow still didn't know that Silver wasn't a girl. But it all felt so good these days that they didn't want to ruin what they had.
A week had passed and it was Wednesday. Silver just arrived at school for their art classes. They were wearing the yellow sweater and skirt because Tails wasn't at school today. Silver just didn't feel comfortable for Tails to see them like this yet. Shadow just arrived with his motorcycle, Silver ran over to him as he parked his vehicle.
"What are you doing here today?" Silver asked surprised as they didn't expect Shadow to be at school today.
"Nothing special, I just wanted to see you again," Shadow said with a grin.
"That's so sweet," Silver said and kissed him. "Will I see you during lunch?"
"Maybe sooner," Shadow replied.
"What do you mean?"
"You'll see, just get to class."
Silver looked puzzled at Shadow as they went into the building, 'What's he playing at?' They got to the class and all the girls were quite early.
"Wow Silver," Sally said.
"That looks so good on you! So you really liked it?" Marine asked.
"Well, I'm kinda getting used to it, but I don't feel comfortable telling Tails yet. But Shadow really likes it," Silver said with a blush.
"I can see why Shadow would like it," Marine said, "By the way, does Shadow know about you yet?" She asked curious.
Silver dropped their head, "No not really, it's just so hard to tell him because I don't want to disappoint him or lose what we have at this moment."
"I understand, but if you wait too long, you only end up making things more complicated."
"I know," Silver replied begrudgingly.
Mrs Rose entered the classroom, "Good morning everyone. Today we will be working on anatomy. I shall explain a few things before we get started with the model." She said and handed them all a paper with some explanation on how anatomy works and it showed some right and wrong examples. They all examined the paper interested while Mrs Rose talked about proportions. There was a knock at the door. "Come in," Mrs Rose called.
The door went open and Shadow entered the room, who looked over at Silver, but they were far too busy examining the papers and taking notes.
"Hey Silver," Marine whispered, Silver made a noise but didn't look up, "What's Shadow doing here?" She asked. Silver quickly looked up confused and saw Shadow talking with Mrs Rose.
Shadow looked at Silver who was visibly confused, 'What are you doing here?' They mouthed. Shadow didn't answer and turned back to the conversation with Mrs Rose.
"Everyone can I please have your attention?" Mrs Rose asked even though they were all already looking because of Shadow's presence. "Like I said, today we will be working on the anatomy of the Mobian body. Shadow has so kindly offered to be our model for today." Silver looked completely dumbfounded. All the girls looked over at Silver bemused.
"Why didn't you say anything?" Marine whispered.
"I didn't know," Silver replied silently.
While they were whispering, Shadow went behind a curtain to get prepared. Mrs Rose shoved a plateau to the middle of the class room and closed the blinds. Silver looked confused trying to figure out what was happening. "Are you ready?" Mrs Rose asked through the curtain.
Shadow walked out from behind the curtain wearing a bathrobe and went over to the plateau. Silver froze on the spot and looked as Shadow passed by. When he stepped onto the plateau he removed the bathrobe. Silver's eyes widened in shock and quickly hid behind their easel. Silver was starting to freak out and the girls all looked over at Silver's reaction.
"Wow," Marine spoke amazed who looked over at Shadow, "You should really see this Silver," She whispered. The only thing everybody could see of Silver was their ears and quills that popped up from behind the easel and even those were red enough to show they were blushing badly.
Shadow stood on the plateau in the middle of the classroom completely naked.
"OMG, why is he doing this," Silver mumbled stressed at theirself.
"So remember what I explained about the proportions," Mrs Rose continued like nothing happened. "First we will do some simple poses so you can all practise, after that we will also add some props."
All the girls started to practise but Silver didn't dare to peek around the easel as they was just too shocked to see Shadow naked. Mrs Rose came over. "Are you finding it difficult to start?" She asked. Silver nodded, still startled by the whole situation. "Well come, have a look," She said and pulled Silver from behind the easel to have a look together. Silver felt incredibly uncomfortable as they were forced to look.
Shadow stood on the plateau in a casual pose with his hands at his sides, Silver looked up and down amazed. Shadow's eyes turned to look at Silver and he quickly winked.
"You can start with a line to emphasise his pose, and start sketching all the rough details which are important for the silhouette. From that point on you can add more detail," She explained but Silver was only half listening as they had such complicated feelings and thoughts at the moment. Mrs Rose moved on to help the others.
Silver quickly got back behind the easel. They shook their head and took a deep breath to calm theirself down. 'Just stay calm, it's just Shadow… naked… OMG SHADOW IS NAKED!' Their thoughts screamed through their head. Silver slapped theirself in the face, 'Come on, grow up. It's just a naked body I have to draw, nothing special. Just think of it like an object.' Silver slowly came out from behind the easel and looked up at Shadow, examining him. Their eyes moved down from his neck, over his shoulders, stomach, down to….. Silver's eyes quickly moved back up and they bit their lip, 'OMG he looks really good,' They thought still with a blush on their cheeks, but the initial shock had calmed down. They took another breath, 'Okay, okay you can do this, just draw the model. You can do this, you can draw, so you could draw a naked Shadow,' Silver took another deep breath and took the pencil. Looking back at Shadow from behind the easel looking with more ease.
Silver started to draw and it started to feel more normal and they all worked silently. Silver noticed the scars that Shadow had showed them during the electrical engineering classes, but the scars were not only on his hands and arms, they were almost everywhere. 'That can't all be from working at a garage, right?' Silver thought.
Shadow changed his pose when Mrs Rose asked too. After a while she took out some props and gave Shadow a spear to hold, draped an animal skin around his shoulders and put down a piece of wood to rest one of his feet on. It looked really warrior like.
"Wow Silver that looks amazing," Mrs Rose commented when she came to have a look. Silver smiled proudly over at her. Some of the girls came over to look.
"Wow, I love what you have done with the lightning!" Honey said.
"And the texture of the fur!" Nicole added.
Shadow looked very curious but he couldn't move as the others were still working on their drawings.
After a while Mrs Rose announced, "Thank you so much for your time Shadow," Shadow picked up the bathrobe and put it on again.
He walked over to Silver, "So how did it go?" Shadow asked and looked at the drawing they made. Silver looked nervous as Shadow was so close, only wearing a bathrobe. "Wow that looks really cool! I can't believe you drew that."
Silver smiled shyly, "Well I really like to draw you."
"Hope I didn't startle you too much?"
"Ow no, I was completely cool with it," Silver lied and Shadow started to laugh.
"Hmm, I never knew that was what it looked like when you are completely cool with something."
Silver pushed Shadow away, "Ow stop it you," They said playful.
Shadow went behind the curtains still laughing.
