"Damn her! Damn her! DAMN HER!"
Darcy was fuming, no, she was downright livid. Everything was going their way, but then Marcy had to go and get that last-minute power up and break the fantasy world she created for her. It was absurd. She made that world perfect, an absolute dreamland where she could live out her dream of being together with the ones she loved. She even gave her children. CHILDREN.
"I swear, I'm going to throttle that little nerd to within an inch of her life! And then throttle her again as I see the life leaving her eyes! And Sasha, ooooh, SASHA! You thought being a pet was going to be demeaning before? Well, hahaha! I'm going to make you into something WORSE! I'll make you watch as Anne–!"
ENOUGH!
Suddenly, Darcy found herself surrounded by the multiple eyes of The Core's collective. She merely sneered at their presence as she crossed her arms.
"Fine then, let's plan our counteroffensive while they're feeling good about themselves. They won't see us coming," said Darcy with a sinister smile.
We will begin our counteroffensive.
We will initiate the final contingency plan.
The Omega Protocol.
Darcy's eyes widened with shock when she heard The Core's absurd proposal.
"ARE YOU ALL INSANE!? You'll kill everything on Amphibia! You might even destroy the gemstones! And more importantly! You'll kill Anne!"
We tire of your obsession with that human.
We indulged your whims because we saw promise in you.
We believed your existence would propel us into a new evolution.
But we were wrong.
But what could we expect from something born from a child's mind?
Now, we have no choice but to resort to this last measure.
The gems will survive, they are a power that cannot be easily destroyed.
"But Anne Boonchuy is still connected to the power of the Heart Calamity gem! If you kill her, you might lose it forever! If it's not properly transferred back to a suitable vessel, it could just fade into the ether! Then the other two will be useless to you!" Darcy argued.
One of the many eyes morphed into the form of Aldrich Leviathan, who walked until he was a few feet away from the dark persona.
"We have considered this, and we are prepared to utilize other methods. If combined with Dark Ichor, perhaps the additional power will make up for the lack of the third gem," said Aldrich.
"You have no evidence to back that up! No data or anything! Grant me some time, I will deliver Anne Boonchuy to you, and extract that power from her! All I ask is that you give her to me once we have the power of the gems back!"
YOUR REQUEST IS DENIED!
YOUR EXISTENCE WILL NO LONGER BE TOLERATED!
Suddenly, chains made of orange light appeared around Darcy's ankles and wrists. The chains lifted her into the air, keeping her arms and legs stretched outwards as she tried to fight against her bonds.
"YOU OLD FOOLS! YOU NEED ME! YOU WON'T WIN AGAINST THEM WITHOUT ME!"
"We will suffer you no longer, child. Just as we will no longer suffer those ignorant masses, my idiot son, or the human girls who continue to be a thorn in our side. We are Amphibia."
Our existence is all that matters.
Our existence is Amphibia itself.
So long as we exist, our knowledge will persist.
We will make a new world.
A better world.
One that truly worships us.
Like the god that we are.
Darcy lowered her head; all was silent for a moment until she began laughing. Her laugh grew louder, and louder, and more insane by the second. Finally, the dark persona threw her head back and laughed so hard that it began to echo within the dark space that they were all floating in. Finally, Darcy stopped and shot Aldrich a narrowed eyed glare as her smile turned maniacal.
"You're going to die. All of you will die a miserable death. Delete me, but the outcome will be the same. You will all fall. You, an obsolete, arcane collection of minds! I thank you for the wisdom and confidence you've bestowed upon me when I came into existence. But unlike me, I have the mind of a young genius, with new ideas and possibilities. You are incapable of evolving. You've peaked. And if you think my Anne will take this lying down, you have another thing coming!"
"Be silent you wretched aberration," said Aldrich as he raised his right hand and pointed it at Darcy.
The former newt king's hand glowed with orange, crackling light as he fired a beam of that same energy right at Darcy. The beam struck her body, causing the dark persona to scream. Darcy's body started to break down into pixels that just as quickly blinked out of existence, showing that she was being permanently deleted from The Core.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! AHAAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
Darcy gave all of them a wide-eyed glare as she laughed and continued to as she was broken down. Her arms and legs were gone, and her torso was following suit. Now the deletion reached her neck, and her head was slowly being deleted as well. The only parts of her left were just one eye and her mouth.
"Good luck, you pathetic fools…"
With that last taunt, Darcy's existence was wiped from The Core.
It is time…
The helmet that was originally worn by Darcy sprang to life. The Core had set up a backup download space, on the off chance that something like this might happen. They didn't expect it to, but then again, they never expected to be in this situation in the first place. Unfortunately, this was the only other backup available. But that didn't matter, so long as they could reach the Omega Protocol, it wouldn't matter at all. The helmet's eyes checked the room, making sure that no one was inside. Once it was sure, the helmet formed six mechanical, spider-like legs that allowed it to move across the table and hop off it.
Once it was off the table, the eyes of the helmet glowed and fired a beam that blasted a hole through one of the doors. The helmet skittered through the hole and made its way for the closest balcony. The Core confirmed that they were indeed back in Amphibia, so, now they could enact the final contingency. Now on the balcony, the back of the helmet opened and formed high-tech rockets, like a jetpack. Those rockets ignited and shot the helmet high into the sky.
The Core helmet continued to ascend, higher and higher, and once it reached a certain height, it initiated its boosters. The primates and lesser beings of Amphibia thought that they had used all of their best tech in the creation of the army. But they were wrong. They had technology that allowed them to reach further than just other dimensions, they could reach their very moon. The rockets burned white hot as they sped up the helmet's flight, making the world of Amphibia shrink faster and faster until it left the atmosphere of planet and was now in space itself.
The helmet continued its flight until it reached the red moon of Amphibia. Lowering the speed of the rockets, The Core brought itself into an orbit around the moon and began its search. Its search didn't last long as it found what it was looking for. From a distance, the moon looked just like any other moon of a planet, but upon closer inspection, it was revealed that the moon was not made rocks, it was made of metal. In fact, the entire surface of the moon looked metallic.
The Core dropped down onto a node on the surface of the moon and connected itself to it. Upon doing this, something happened. The entire moon came alive, with mechanical circuit patterns appearing all along the surface and glowing bright orange. The rear of the moon opened a few ports and fired off huge rocket engines that began moving the moon on a collision course for the planet, for Amphibia. And just so that their inferiors knew who was going to bring about their end, the moon's surface became riddled with mechanical eyes that glowed an angry orange color, all of which stared down upon the planet, like a vengeful god about to smite the unworthy.
NOW IS THE HOUR OF YOUR DEMISE!
To say that the people of Amphibia were panicking would be an understatement. Everyone was staring up in shock and pure terror as the multi eyed celestial body that was their moon was heading right for them.
Joe Sparrow and Domino 2 flew the Plantars, Yunan, Olivia, and the trio down to the rest of their resistance army, while Frobo got Andrias and brought him down with them.
Anne couldn't believe what she was seeing, it was too unreal to be happening.
"What…How?! What is that?!" Anne asked.
Andrias chuckled a little, causing everyone to look his way.
"It seems The Core has activated its final gambit," said Andrias.
"It's WHAT?!" Hop Pop questioned.
"When our civilization was at its peak, the moon became home to some of The Core's pet projects. Among them, a plan to eradicate all life as we know it, by ramming the moon into Amphibia's surface," he explained.
A collective gasp was uttered from the army, this whole time their very moon was a weapon of mass destruction, floating over their heads for centuries, and one that could've been activated at any time.
"EXCUSE ME?! WHY?! What could they possibly gain from destroying their own world?!" Anne inquired, angrily.
Marcy gently placed her left hand on Anne's shoulder as she gave an answer to that.
"Because…it's afraid."
"What?" Sasha asked.
"It's afraid of being irrelevant, it's afraid of becoming less than. The Core wants to be a supreme being, standing above all things. The conquest of other universes, the pilfering of technology and resources, was all in an attempt to strengthen its power and superiority over all things in this world and in others. But now that it's been defeated, it knows that its time is up. So…it's making this last desperate move to maintain its relevance and superiority," Marcy explained. "It will do anything it takes to defeat us and regain the power of the stones. And if that means wiping out its own civilization…so be it."
"Oh, so, what you're saying is…THIS THING IS A MASSIVE SORE LOSER!" Sasha exclaimed.
"Hmm, more or less," Andrias answered.
"We have to do something!" Sprig shouted. "Anyone got any ideas on how to stop an entire moon?!"
"Anne, what about your powers?! Can't you just fly up there and kick it or somethin'?!" Beatrix asked.
Anne wished she could say yes, but she knew she couldn't.
"I'm sorry, my Rider powers are strong, but I don't think they're moon busting strong. And that's even if I wasn't tired from all the fighting we just did," said Anne.
"Okay, any other ideas?" Mrs. Croaker inquired.
Sasha snapped her fingers and said, "What about using the music box? We could use it to get everyone in Amphibia off the planet. Take them to Earth?"
"Sashy, there's not enough time!" Marcy glanced about, taking count of the frogs, newts, and toads assembled among them. "At best, we could only save everyone here…the rest of Amphibia…"
"Oh, oh!" Toadstool exclaimed. "Why don't use that there music box, open a portal, and push Amphibia somewhere else?!"
Everyone looked at Toadstool, blinked, and then blinked again.
"That idea might just be crazy enough…TO GET US ALL KILLED!" Hop Pop yelled.
"Well, I mean, is it possible?" Anne inquired.
Andrias shrugged his shoulders and said, "The Core never tried it, and to my knowledge, it was never proposed. But if it was possible, the multiverse is too vast. If that was a possibility, then we'd have to transport the entire planet to a universe where there's enough empty space for the planet to exit."
"Why's that?" Sprig inquired.
"He means if we don't, then the entire planet could wind up right in the middle of a sun, or inside another planet, or collide with another planet. We'd have to be very specific with how we input the coordinates, and if the universe we transport the planet to is even hospital for Amphibia's planet," Marcy further explained.
Anne looked back up at moon, the eyes staring back at them as if mocking them, telling them that there was nothing they could do to stop the inevitable.
Is this it? Are these our only options? Save everyone here, and let everyone else die? Or just let everyone die? Anne thought.
An impossible choice, although they could save the Wartwood frogs, the Plantars, some of the toads and newts, and a conjoined olm, but that would mean the rest of the frogs, newts, toads, and olms would be wiped out forever. This group here would be the last remnants of a destroyed world.
"No, there has to be a way to stop this! C'mon, keep thinking!" Anne urged.
Just then, the ground began to quake beneath their feet.
"An earthquake?! Don't we have enough problems right now?!" Polly complained.
"M-Maybe the proximity of the moon is causing the planet's tectonic plates to shift!" Marcy exclaimed.
"So, the moon's causing it! Got it!" Sasha exclaimed.
Just then, one of the dirt mounds that was sticking out of the water erupted, throwing a few newts, frogs, and toads off it. From that mound shot up none other than the wise leader of the olms, Mother Olm.
"MOTHER OLM!" Anne and Sasha gasped.
"WHO IS THIS NOW?!" Marcy yelled as she looked upon the giant, ancient olm. "I've missed a lot…"
The ancient olm looked down upon everyone and asked, "OH, HEY THERE. I HEARD A LOT OF THE FIGHTING STOP. SO, HOW DID GO?"
"Well, we stopped the invasion, but now it looks like the moon is about to kill us all, so, mixed bag," said Sprig.
Mother Olm turned her head towards the sky, even with her semi-blind eyes, she could see the mass of red and orange approaching their world, not only that, but she could sense the malice bearing down upon them all.
"I SEE. THEN THE PROPHECY HAS FINALLY COME TO PASS," Mother Olm proclaimed.
Marcy gasped as she said, "Prophecy! Sasha said something about a prophecy! What's the prophecy?!"
"Three stars burning bright," Anne started.
"Come from beyond to expel The Night," Sasha took up.
"Should they fight or embrace the fall. Their choice will determine the fate of all," they finished together.
Anne placed her left hand on Marcy's shoulder, feeling emboldened by the appearance of Mother Olm as she said, "I had forgotten about that prophecy for a minute, but it means that we're not done yet! We're destined to save the world!"
"Eeeh, well, just wait a minute," said Mother Olm. "The prophecy doesn't necessarily say you'll succeed."
"Excuse us?" Sasha, Anne, and Marcy questioned.
"YOU SEE, THE PROPHECY ISN'T SO MUCH A PREDICTION, BUT MORE OF A HUMBLE REQUEST FOR HELP. AND KNOW THIS: YOU HAVE TO TAP INTO THE ENERGY THAT REMAINS IN THE STONES IN ORDER TO GET THE ENERGY YOU NEED. HOWEVER, IF YOU DO THAT…"
Mother Olm let that linger in the air for a moment, because she wanted the girls to come to the conclusion on their own.
"There might not be enough energy left for us to get home," said Anne.
"We'd be stuck in Amphibia, with no way back," said Sasha.
Marcy chuckled, which made the girls look at her.
"It's so ironic…I wanted us to be together forever and ended up almost causing the end of humanity. And now, we have a chance to save all of Amphibia, but in the process, we might get stranded here for the rest of our lives," said Marcy.
"LIFE IS FUNNY LIKE THAT SOMETIMES, CHILD. BUT NOW THAT ALL THE CARDS ON THE TABLE, THE CHOICE IS UP TO YOU. I HEARD OF YOUR OTHER PLAN, AND IT'S STILL A CHOICE. YOU CAN TAKE THOSE ASSEMBLED HERE BACK TO EARTH AND SAVE A FEW BUT HAVE ALL OF AMPHIBIA DESTROYED AND ALL THE LIVES ON IT WITH IT. OR…YOU CAN USE ALL THE POWER OF THE GEMS AND END THE THREAT OF THE NIGHT ONCE AND FOR ALL, BUT AT THE COST OF POSSIBLY NEVER BEING ABLE TO RETURN HOME TO YOUR WORLD. AS THE PROPHECY SAYS, YOUR CHOICE WILL DETERMINE THE FATE OF ALL," Mother Olm stated.
Anne, Marcy, and Sasha glanced at each other. This wasn't much of a hard question to answer. Would it mean that they might possibly never be able go back home? Yes. But neither could they go back home knowing that an entire planet was destroyed when they could've done something to prevent it. Besides, they were Kamen Riders, heroes, they had a duty to protect innocent lives. And they were going to do just that.
"Huh, you call that a choice?" Sasha asked, rhetorically.
"Of course, we'll fight! We're Kamen Riders!" Marcy exclaimed.
"There's no way we'd leave you hanging in your hour of need," said Anne.
The assembled army cheered loudly, hearing that the three Riders were willing to fight for them one last time, to save their world and their lives, even at the cost of never returning home. And among the relieved denizens of Amphibia, Toadstool seemed the most relieved considering how hard he was clutching onto Toadie.
"Whew! Ah wasn't worried! Were you worried, Toadie? Because Ah sure wasn't," said Toadstool.
"Alright girls, let's get to the music box and get powered up to take the fight to The Core!" Anne exclaimed.
Everyone cheered uproariously as they all immediately made their way into the castle. However, Mother Olm reached out and tapped Anne on the shoulder.
"HOLD UP, ANNE. ONE MORE THING," said Mother Olm.
Sasha and Marcy stopped, but Anne waved to them on, silently telling them she would be there. The two girls nodded and ran ahead to the throne room. Mother Olm opened her hand and laid it out for Anne to stand on. The Thai teen hopped onto the open palm of Mother Olm as she brought her up to her level.
"THE STONES ARE STORNG, BUT THEY MAY NOT BE ENOUGH TO DEFEAT THE CORE," said Mother Olm. "IF THINGS LOOK BAD OUT THERE, DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE SECRET SPELL."
"Wait. The secret what now?" Anne asked.
Mother Olm raised her brow and replied, "DIDN'T I TELL YOU ABOUT THAT?"
"No!"
The elderly olm sighed.
"WELL, THE STONE ARE RUMORED TO HOLD A HIDDEN POWER, ENOUGH TO VANQUISH ANY FOE AND BRING ABOUT THE IMPOSSIBLE. BUT SUMMONING SUCH POWER COMES AT A PRICE…THE LIFE OF THE USER."
Mother Olm lowered her hand and let Anne hop off. The Thai teen looked down at the ground for a moment before looking back up at Mother Olm.
"So, whoever uses this spell, and calls on the power of all three stones…will die," said Anne.
"YEEEAAH…BUT HOPEFULLY IT WILL NEVER COME TO THAT! AM I RIGHT? OKAY, GOOD LUCK OUT THERE!"
Mother Olm was about to hightail it out of there but stopped when Anne called out to her.
"Wait!…The spell. How do I use it?" Anne asked.
Mother Olm kept her back to the young girl as she said, "ANNE, I DON'T THINK YOU'LL NEED IT. THE THREE OF YOU, TOGETHER SHOULD BE ABLE TO–"
"And what if that's not enough?" Anne retorted. "I don't want to see the world I love, and the people I love, getting wiped out from existence."
"ANNE, IF YOU DO USE IT, YOU'RE LIFE WILL BE FORFEIT. EVEN IF YOU MANAGE TO WIN, YOU, YOURSELF, WILL LOSE."
"But everyone will still be alive."
"…THAT IS TRUE."
"So, please, Mother Olm. How do I use the spell?" Anne asked again.
The ancient olm turned around and answered, "MY CHILD, YOU HAVE ONLY BUT TO ASK. NOW, GO FORTH, YOUNG HERO."
"Thanks, Mother Olm."
Anne turned around and ran off to go and join the others in the throne room. All the while Mother Olm watched on with a sad smile on her face.
Please, let this story have a happy ending.
Anne continued to run; her mind was still contemplating the use of the final spell. The fact that it might end her life was…scary. But she had to have faith that the three of them together could bring an end to The Core once and for all. The throne room was fast approaching, so the Thai teen slowed down a bit.
"Hey, sorry for the holdup, guys!" When Anne reached the doorway of the throne room, she gasped. "No way! Valeriana?!"
Standing beside the pedestal of the Calamity Box was the newt guardian of the Temple of Heart. She was dressed in the same white robes as before, and her pet parrot-fly was sitting on her shoulder.
"She was waiting for us when we got here!" Marcy exclaimed. "Sooo mysterious!"
"Pretty creepy, if you ask me," Sasha commented.
Leander flew from Valeriana's shoulder and landed on Sasha's head as he squawked, "Braww! Pretty creepy! Pretty creepy!"
"Ugh."
"Hello, Anne, are you ready for the final battle?" Valeriana asked.
Anne smirked as she punched her right fist into her left palm.
"Oh, heck yeah!"
"Good. Now, the three of you, gather around the music box and close your eyes," she instructed.
Anne, Sasha, and Marcy gathered around the music box, forming a triangle as they shut their eyes and listened to Valeriana's words.
"Focus. Think of your memories of Amphibia. Of how much this world means to you."
Anne recalled the many adventures she had with Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop. The hijinks, the ups and downs, and all of moments she felt like family to them.
Sasha remembered her time with Grime, how the toad warrior had become someone that Sasha could look up to and had come to see as a second father. She remembered commanding the Wartwood Resistance, growing closer to the frogs and feeling the warmth of their forgiveness and acceptance.
Marcy recalled the fun she had, becoming the hero of Newtopia, and its revered architect. Living her dream of a fantasy life and growing closer to the newts Olivia and Yunan.
Valeriana raised her staff as she proclaimed, "This will allow the stones to resonate with your hearts once again!"
The wise newt woman pointed her staff directly at Anne, shooting a beam of azure light from the tip that struck Anne's back. But then that same light passed through her and struck the music box at the center of their triangle. The box began to glow as magenta and emerald energy began shooting towards Sasha and Marcy. Everyone watched in awe as MetamorphRing Drivers appeared on their waists once again, but that's when the three gems rose from the music box and shot towards each girl's Drivers. Upon entering them, the Drivers began to morph, changing shape once again. The Driver turned completely gold as the face plate turned into a square shaped diamond. The hip devices were golden as well, but now in the colors of their individual Calamity power, the same as the crystals in the center of the Drivers.
Anne's hair transformed back into its azure, spikey state, but not just hers. Sasha's flowing hair was wrapped into a ponytail, her bangs and hair changing to magenta, and the ponytail itself transforming into crackling magenta energy. Marcy's hair rose, now colored emerald with a shade of white. The three girls opened their eyes, which were now glowing in their respective colors, and spotted the changes to their Drivers. Now, there was only one thing left to do.
"HENSHIN!"
"HENSHIN!"
"HENSHIN!"
The girls raised their hands and pressed on the hip devices at the same time. Blinding azure, magenta, and emerald light shined forth from the three of them, making everyone have to shut their eyes. The power that was being emitted from the three caused the castle to shutter and shattered the windows as that light poured out of them. After a moment, the light finally faded, allowing everyone in attendance to look upon the newly transformed heroes.
"RIDERS OF AMPHIBIA, ARISE!"
Anne, or rather, Kamen Rider Amp, had a white mesh suit like that of her Justice Mode, but the armor overlaying it was much different. Her golden pauldrons were two tiered, with rounded nodes positioned near the joints that had a blue node at the center. Her gold chest plate took on a similar shape to the Amphibian chest plate she wore in civilian form. But this one had blue glowing lines, a crystal leaf at the center of the chest, and an oval shaped gemstone near the collar of the armor.
The blue lines on her mesh suit had changed their patterns in accordance with the new form. Her boots were half golden, separated at the bottom with a beige color, and crystal leaves around the knees. Her bracers were also golden and had one blue oval gemstone each on them. Amp's helmet resembled that of her original helmet, but was now gold, with the lower jaw area painted azure to match her eyes. The crest had changed too, now completely golden, with another crystal leaf at the center of it.
The back of the helmet was opened, allowing it to vent raging azure light, mimicking Anne's hair when she accessed her full powers, along with glowing pink leaves that disappeared and reappeared around her head. On her back was a deep blue cape that flapped in the wind, and around her, connected to the True MetamorphRing was a navy-blue combat skirt with beige lining and a blue leaf pattern.
What stood before them was Kamen Rider Amp: True Heart.
Sasha, now Kamen Rider Bellona, also had a drastic transformation. Her right pauldron was a deep crimson color, and had gold wing edges, while her left pauldron was the same color, but with gold lining, and three golden spikes. Her bracers were the same color crimson as the pauldrons, with the tops of the bracers having gold edging and two gold ten-inch blades coming out of the bracers. Around each of her wrists were golden bracelets that were adorned with four magenta crystal spikes. Her boots were deep red color, with a four-pointed star pattern on the front, ankle guards with gold-colored studs, and knee pads with three golden spikes coming out of each of them.
The chest pate had sharp lines running along the sides, with one forming a "Y" pattern down the middle. There was a diamond shaped magenta gemstone at the center of this formation, flanked by two other smaller crystals of the same shape and color. Around her waist, connected to the belt, was a combat skirt. The outside was colored a deep maroon with magenta diamonds on the sides, and a pale red edge. The inside of the skirt was colored the same as her Calamity power and had an upside down "V" shaped slit in the back.
The glowing lines on her mesh suit had changed their patterns like Amp's. And like Amp, her helmet looked like her base form, but now the lower jaw was magenta colored to match her eyes, the rest of the helmet was gold colored. There was a single sharp magenta horn that curved upwards in the middle of her forehead, forming the center of a crest that had two horns coming out from it and branched into two smaller horns on either side. Like Amp's helmet, Bellona's vented the energy from within, creating a wisping flame like ponytail that glowed bright magenta.
Those in attendance now beheld Kamen Rider Bellona: True Strength.
Marcy, rather Kamen Rider Ranger. Her pauldrons were mostly flat, with the top rising up to form a bump before tapering back down. Both pauldrons were gold in color, with the top of them having emerald crystal strips running along them, and along the edges of the pauldrons were pale green strips of cloth. Her bracers were gold in color, with an oddly shaped emerald gemstone on top of them. The boots were also gold with dark yellow accents on them, and the knee pads were emerald gemstones. The chest plate had wavy patterns on it, along with intricate glowing lines, and the center of one of these designs was the same oddly shaped gemstone. Connected to the back was a pale green cape, but around that was a white fur collar. And just like the others, she wore a combat skirt that was a different shade of pale green and had triangular patterns at the ends.
The helmet of Ranger was similar to her base form but had the lower jaw area green to match her visor, while the rest was gold. Framed around her face was a kind of crown that curled at the ends near the mouth area and had a crystal at the center of the forehead. Like the others, the top of the helmet vented energy, creating green and white energy that mimicked Marcy's Calamity form hair. Even her emerald butterfly barrette was visible.
The third and final Rider of the Calamity Riders, Kamen Rider Ranger: True Mind.
The girls looked upon themselves, just as much in awe as the others around them,
"OMG! This is SO COOL!" Ranger gushed.
"Holy cow, what is this? This doesn't look a thing like when Anne went Final Form," said Sasha.
"Yeah, I mean, the white suit part is the same, but the armor, my helmet everything looks completely different! I even have a cape!" Anne exclaimed.
Bellona looked at her let hand, which was now releasing sparkles of magenta light. The flame Rider raised her left fist into the air, and upon doing so, created a construct heart with wings, and a couple of pincers at the top of the heart. From between those two pincers, a beam of fiery light blasted forth and completely obliterated the roof of the throne room.
"Whoa…Sasha," Grime gasped.
Bellona stared dumbfoundedly at what she had just done and turned to Amp as she exclaimed, "ANNE, YOU COULD DO THAT THIS ENTIRE TIME?! How were you struggling against Andrias!?"
"Uh, no. These powers feel waaaaay more intense than my normal Final Form," said Amp as she saw sparks of lightning and sparkles of azure light dance around her hands.
Ranger was, literally, floating on air as she said, "The stones' powers must stack when used in tandem. Classic synergy buff." Ranger stopped floating as she got an idea. "Oh, if that's the case, then these must be our True Final Forms!"
"True Final Form, huh? I like it. Okay then…" Amp looked up through the hole that Bellona made, right at the moon. "Let's go Rider Kick that moon right in its ugly face!"
"YEAH!" Bellona and Ranger agreed.
All three Riders' bodies glowed with their respective colored auras, and within seconds, the three of the shot through the hole that Bellona had made, destroying what was left of the roof in the process, and headed straight towards the incoming moon.
"YES! YES! GET IT GIRL!" Sprig exclaimed joyfully.
"I know her!" Polly stated.
"She lived in my basement," Hop Pop added.
Three sparkling comets of azure, magenta, and emerald zoomed through the skies of Amphibia. The three comets easily ascended higher and higher, as if gravity had no bearing on them whatsoever. The higher they got, the smaller the continent of Amphibia looked behind them.
"We're literally heading into space!" Ranger exclaimed.
"This is wild!" Bellona proclaimed.
"I know, right?!"
The Core Moon saw the three comets break out of the atmosphere of the planet, on an intercept course with it.
Riders detected. Deploying defenses.
Multiple large panels opened on the surface of the moon, and from them were released dozens upon dozens of huge robotic monsters. They ranged in appearance, either looking like ancient crustaceans or insects, all of them covering the space out in front of the Core Moon like an armada.
Activate Dark Ichor infusion.
The robotic monsters started to convulse violently, and within seconds their armor began to leak globs of Dark Ichor from inside. The Calamity Riders watched as the armada of robotic monsters were wrapped in cocoons of darkness, and in the next moment, all of them shattered open. Now the crustacean and insect looking robotic monsters looked like nightmare monsters, all of them with extra limbs, enhanced weaponry, and multiple eyes to match the master they served.
"Of course, nightmare fuel Fallen, yeah, because why not," said Bellona.
Amp smirked and retorted, "What's the matter, Sash? Don't think you can handle these guys?"
Bellona glanced back at her girlfriend and that's when her two heron swords appeared out in front of her from the True MetamorphRing Driver. The flame Rider used her powers to merge the two swords into one, infusing them with her power and transforming them into a whole new sword. This sword had a magenta hilt and a golden pommel. The guard was large, red in color, and had gold patterns on it. In the center of the guard was a diamond shaped magenta stone, and on the side of the guard were six wings. The blade of the sword was at least four to five feet in length, white as snow, with the tip of the sword having a diamond shape, and a diamond magenta crystal in the center of the sword's tip.
Bellona grasped the sword and twirled it around before holding it in her left hand as she proclaimed, "Like hell I'm scared! I'm going to cut down every single one of those monsters! And Damocles, my Tyrant Slaying Sword, will get that job done."
"And I want to pay those monsters back. They used my body and hurt so many people I will not allow them to kill a whole planet!" Ranger declared.
The wind Rider slammed her palms together and then swiftly parted them. Upon doing so, a long beam of emerald light formed, growing longer until it was a full-length staff. Ranger gripped the staff, and immediately upon doing so, the energy took form and then peeled off, revealing Ranger's newest weapon. The shaft of the staff was green in color, with a strip of gold on either side of it. At the ends of the staff were two cylindrical emerald crystals that were wrapped in gold armor plates. Ranger twirled the staff around and assumed a fighting stance.
"We're going to fight together this time, all three of us, side by side, and expel The Night once and for all!" Ranger stated.
Amp crossed her arms as she turned to face the armada of monsters, and The Core that was glaring at them.
"DO NOT THINK YOU CAN STOP US!"
"Is that a challenge?! THEN IT'S GAME ON!"
Amp charged in first, as lightning and azure light erupted from her body. The lightning Rider then threw her arms out in a wide arc as several lightning bolts shot out from her body and coalesced into spheres of pure lightning energy. The energy began to take the form of several cute cats that resembled Domino, but with a second wave of her hand, the cute cats suddenly shifted and transformed into large roaring lightning tigers, jaguars, lions, and panthers. The Nightmare Fallen unleashed a barrage of their energy cannons upon Amp as she gave another wave of her hand, giving the silent command for her beasts to attack. All of the lightning cats roared as one and shot towards the incoming beams of light. The construct cats and beams collided in the center, setting off a huge explosion.
However, the lightning cats weren't destroyed as they blasted through the explosion and attacked one Nightmare Fallen after the other. Whether it was biting down on their necks or slashing through their bodies, the lightning cats were easily tearing through the dark monsters. Amp's aura flared as she charged straight in, shooting like a literal lightning bolt into the fray. She appeared before a multi-armed Nightmare Fallen, catching its attention. The multi-armed Nightmare Fallen began unleashing a flurry of energy coated punches at the small enemy before it, but Amp smirked as she batted and kicked away each attack that came to her, creating huge shockwaves with every impact.
Another Nightmare Fallen, a creature that looked like a fusion of a serpent and a crab, came in from behind and snapped its jaws around her. That was a mistake. The beast began to cry out in pain as several explosions took place inside its massive body before multiple lightning bolts shot through its body. Amp blasted out of the back of the monster just as it exploded, going high above the first Nightmare Fallen she fought. She held out her hands and concentrated, and within seconds two constructs of her parents in the forms of Kamen Rider GX-01 and GX-02 appeared.
The GX-02 construct raised its sword and created a ridiculously big sword blade made of sparkling azure light. At the same time, GX-01's cannons shined brighter and brighter with built up power. The GX-02 construct brought down its huge blade, slicing through the multi-armed Nightmare Fallen, splitting it in half. The GX-01 construct unleashed the power in its cannons and fired two incredibly huge beams of azure light at the two halves of the monster, blowing it up, and setting off multiple explosions in the distance as the beams scorched through the other Nightmare Fallen. Amp glanced at the constructs of her parents, who gave her a nod before all three of them charged into another group of Nightmare Fallen. Amp smashed through one after the other with her bare hands and feet, discharging beams of lightning and azure energy as the constructs of her parents did the same. The three met in the center of the group as Amp brought her hands together and charged up for another attack.
As one, Amp fired as beam, with the tip of the beam taking on the form of her transformed Amphibian pet, Domino 2, but in Tempest form. GX-01 fired his cannons again as GX-02 used another sword beam. The Rider and two constructs spun in a three-sixty motion, strafing their attacks all around as more and more of the Nightmare Fallen were destroyed before it all ended in one huge explosion of blue flames around them.
Bellona had engaged as well as she twirled Damocles around and gripped it with both hands. Squaring off with a large squadron of Nightmare Fallen in front of her.
"BRING IT ON!"
Bellona's aura flared around her body was wings of magenta flames erupted from her back and engulfed the blade of her sword. The Nightmare Fallen roared challengingly at Bellona and fired hundreds of their orange energy beams at her. Bellona flew into the barrage of energy beams, using Damocles to slice through the beams, or in some cases, outright deflecting them right back at the monsters. The beams that were deflected struck other Nightmare Fallen, causing them to explode around their fellow monsters. The Nightmare Fallen ceased their beam attacks and decided to get up close and personal. Which was their biggest mistake yet as they completely surrounded her.
"Oh, you shouldn't have done that," Bellona taunted.
The moment they all attacked, Bellona's entire body erupted, releasing magenta flames that burned bright and hot as they rapidly expanded into a burning sphere of magenta and white flames. The other Nightmare Fallen stopped in their tracks when they spotted a literal star exploding into existence, but it was too late as the sphere of burning power engulfed them and set off multiple explosions around the fireball. But the fun didn't end there. The sphere of burning power began to take shape as it grew wings, long legs, a long neck, and a sharp beak. The burning ball of fire had now taken on the form of a giant construct heron that screeched into the air, and on top of its head was Bellona. Like a general commanding her troops, Bellona pointed her sword straight at the next group of Nightmare Fallen and gave the silent command to attack. The construct heron screeched and flew straight for the monsters.
The Nightmare Fallen fired another barrage of energy beams that did manage to hit the construct heron several times. However, the burning beast showed no signs of slowing down or stopping. The construct heron was soon upon the Nightmare Fallen, and used its talons to slash their bodies, its beak pierced through others, and with a flap of its wings, it rained down blazing magenta feathers like deadly arrows. The flaming feather arrows pierced through one monster after the other, setting off more explosions around Bellona and her creation.
The flame Rider flew off her creation and began taking the fight directly to them. When she slashed with Damocles, it instantly sent a wave of energy through the thing she was cutting, creating a severing blast as she swung and allowing her to cleave through one Nightmare Fallen after the other. One of the Nightmare Fallen used its tentacle and wrapped it around Bellona to constrict her. But the flame Rider merely chuckled at this as she flexed her body and broke free from the tentacle as a shockwave blasted around her. But she wasn't done yet. Bellona used her left and grabbed the tentacle. Using her demigod-like strength, she dragged the Nightmare Fallen connected to the tenacle through space as she effortlessly raised it up and brought it down, smashing it into the bodies of several more of its kind, and making it look like a battered piece of technorganic scrap.
When Bellona saw that the monster she used had outlived its usefulness, she tossed it into the distance before pointing Damocles at it and shooting it with a beam of burning energy that detonated it. That's when a big Nightmare Fallen appeared behind Bellona, glaring down at her with its intimidating gaze that would've frightened any other warrior, but not her. However, the monster had forgotten about her construct pet. The flaming heron's beak came jutting through the Nightmare Fallen's chest, making the creature look at the beak for a second in shock before turning its head to see the construct behind it.
Bellona appeared over the Nightmare Fallen's head, just as the construct heron pulled out its beak. She spun once and then came down with Damocles, creating a huge construct blade of magenta light that began cutting the Nightmare Fallen down the middle. Once she was done with her first cut, Bellona slashed again, this time horizontally to form a cross pattern on the creature's chest, all before using her power to blast all four pieces of the monster in different directions and lighting them on fire. The four pieces hit different groups of the Nightmare Fallen armada and set off a chain reaction of explosions all around her.
Bellona's construct heron appeared next to her, allowing her to jump onto its head as she and the heron flew into another group and began to tear through even more of them.
While all this was going on, Ranger was watching from a distance. Seeing the two girls she loved using the full extent of their powers, fighting free and without holding back, it was breathtaking to witness, and it was even more unbelievable that she was here, witnessing this amazing spectacle before her. But more than that, she was a part of it.
"This is the coolest, most anime thing that's ever happened to me!" Ranger twirled her staff, the Ruyi Jingu Bang, and gripped it with both hands as her emerald aura flared around her body. "I'M SO HAPPY I CAN FIGHT BY YOUR SIDE!"
Ranger shot into the battle, one of the Nightmare Fallen thought it had the drop on her, but Ranger's keen sense clued her into the incoming attack from above. She flipped around and aimed the Ruyi Jingu Bang at the Nightmare Fallen. And in the next moment, the pole extended, growing in length in the span of seconds and at a speed that could pierce and shatter a mountain. That would be an understatement as the pole smashed through the technorganic beast's belly, blasting a huge hole in its back as well as the Ruyi Jingu Bang kept rising higher and higher. The Nightmare Fallen exploded around the staff, but Ranger wasn't done.
The wind Rider, with little effort, swung her ridiculously long staff and began smashing it through one Nightmare Fallen after the other, clearing out huge swaths of the monsters with just one swing. Ranger willed the Ruyi Jingu Bang to return to its original length in less than a couple of seconds, but the Nightmare Fallen took this chance to counterattack, unleashing huge energy balls and beams that were hurdling straight at her. Ranger smirked under her helmet as she hefted the Ruyi Jingu Bang like an Olympic javelin thrower and tossed her weapon in the direction of the incoming beam attacks. Just before the Ruyi Jingu Bang reached the energy attacks, Ranger snapped her fingers, and the staff instantly transformed into a gargantuan gold and emerald shield. The beam attacks struck against the surface of the shield and exploded mightily, but when the smoke cleared, there wasn't a scratch on it.
The shield swiftly changed shape once again as it turned into an equally big bow. The draw string was made of emerald light and began to pull back. Upon closer inspection, Ranger was mimicking the motions of notching an arrow and pulling back on the bowstring, which the Ruyi Jingu Bang was recreating by creating a huge arrow of emerald light.
"TITAN ARROW!"
Ranger let go, and the Ruyi Jingu Bang fired. It appeared as a streaking beam of light with the tip of the beam in the shape of an arrowhead. The monsters had no chance of dodging the huge beam as it engulfed all of them at once, creating a series of explosions in the wake of the beam. The Ruyi Jingu Bang shined bright emerald color before reducing its size and returning to Ranger. The playful Taiwanese girl had the Ruyi Jingu Bang appear under her as she sat on the top of it with her legs crossed and giggled up a storm at how incredible this experience was. That's when several more of the Nightmare Fallen appeared, armed with energy blades as they swung their skyscraper demolishing weapons in her direction.
The wind Rider smirked again as she let the attacks hit her. But upon doing so, the monsters found their blades passing through her and the Ruyi Jingu Bang. After several swings and beam attacks, Ranger and her staff disappeared.
"Looking for me!" Ranger called out from high above the monsters. "Time for some saving throws!"
Ranger twirled the Ruyi Jingu Bang around and then tossed it high above her. The staff weapon suddenly transformed into a gold and green, twenty-sided die. The wind Rider caught the die, and with a practiced arm, tossed the die straight at the group of Nightmare Fallen. Ranger made a couple of nonsense hand signs, and upon making the last one, the Ruyi Jingu Bang die suddenly multiplied into dozens and dozens of twenty-sided dice. The monsters didn't know what the purpose of these dice was, but nonetheless, they fired upon them, not wanting to find out the hard way. However, no matter how many times they shot at them, the dice didn't stop. The monsters prepared for impact, but just then, the dice struck against some kind of construct green tabletop that somehow just appeared under them. The dice rolled for a couple of seconds, but then all of them stopped, and all seventy-two of the dice showed the same number, twenty.
"HA! MULTI NAT TWENTY, BABY!" Ranger declared.
The Nightmare Fallen looked down and watched as the Ruyi Jingu Bang dice all began to open. Before they could flee, the dice released hundreds of construct energy weapons. Everything from maces, swords, arrows, chain swords, shuriken, kunai, chakrams, katanas, almost anything fantasy melee weapons related was hurled from these dice and shredded through the group Nightmare Fallen, creating hundreds of green colored explosions below her. When the carnage was done, the Ruyi Jingu Bang dice all reformed into one staff and zipped back into her right hand.
"Flawless victory! AAAH!"
Ranger was suddenly assaulted by a huge arm that swatted her into the distance. She nearly came close to heading back into Amphibia's atmosphere, but she managed to right herself before that could happen. Amp and Bellona quickly arrived at Ranger's location upon seeing her almost getting thrown back to the planet.
"Marcy, you okay?" Bellona asked.
"I'm fine, but what just hit me?" Ranger asked.
"That," Amp pointed out.
All three girls watched as multiple Nightmare Fallen began to pull themselves together, combining their Dark Ichor bodies and forming into a Colossus Fallen. The creature had six muscular arms, bone-like bat wings on its back, and six eyes as it opened its huge mouth roared at them.
"Alright girls let's show them why bigger isn't always better," said Amp.
"Oh, yes! Let's do the thing!" Ranger exclaimed excitedly.
"It's been a long minute since we did that together. I'm going to enjoy this!" Bellona stated.
Amp, at the center of the group, widened her stance as lightning and azure light arced around her. Ranger, on her right, did the same as green wind energy and emerald light swirled around her. Bellona mimicked her girlfriends, her body erupting into flames and magenta light. The symbols of Amp, Bellona, and Ranger appeared out in front of each of the three Riders as the energy they built up started to move towards their right feet. The Colossus Fallen roared again as it opened its mouth and fired a huge beam at the three girls, with Amphibia being right behind them. But that wasn't going to be an issue. The eyes all three Riders glowed bright with their individual colors as they flew straight through their symbols, flipped once, and extended their right legs.
"TRUE CALAMITY KICK!"
"TRUE CALAMITY KICK!"
"TRUE CALAMITY KICK!"
A swirling beam of the three colors crashed into the orange beam of the Colossus Fallen, creating a large shockwave that rang out in all directions. The beam from the Colossus Fallen stood no chance against the combined might of the Calamity Riders as they pierced right through the huge beam, making sure not one part of it was going to reach Amphibia. The trio finally struck as one, hitting the Colossus Fallen right in the chest. The monster wailed and roared but could do nothing as its fate was sealed. The three girls let out a combined battle cry as they blasted through the monster's chest at the same time, coming to a stop several miles behind the monster. The Colossus Fallen had multiple explosions go off all over its body before they all combined into one mighty explosion that lit up space around them.
As the explosion raged behind them, the three Riders glanced at each other. So many things happened to them, both good, bad, and terrible. But through it all, despite how they were towards each other, their bond of friendship and love brought them to this moment. The moment when they were all stronger, the best versions of themselves. And now they were fighting to save the world that had made them better people, together, as friends, and as something more, as lovers. The three Riders grabbed each other's arms and brought themselves into a group hug, letting the happiness of this moment wash over them as they all came to that same conclusion.
When they broke their hug, they looked in the direction of the still remaining numbers of Nightmare Fallen. But they were not afraid. The Calamity Riders, as one, zoomed into the armada once again, setting off dozens of explosions as they continued their destruction of The Core's forces.
Down on the surface, Andrias watched this spectacle with awe. While no one below could really see what the girls were doing, it didn't take a genius to see that they were completely annihilating The Core's forces, if the azure, magenta, and emerald-colored explosions were any indication. And of course, that one huge explosion just a moment ago.
It was like he was seeing one of the battles that Argus once told him about, one of the Azure Knight's old war stories. However, seeing this level of power, he wondered if the former Amphibian Knights ever came close to what he was seeing right now.
And to think…that old frog was going to make me his successor…
Andrias…!
The former King of Amphibia's eyes widened when he heard the familiar voice. His eyes drifted upwards and saw the hidden eye open in the middle of his crown.
"Father? Is that you?" Andrias asked.
It is, my son. Help us…take these fools hostage…Make those humans bend to our will, and you can finally join me and the rest of your forefathers in The Core.
"HEY!" Suddenly, Grime appeared atop a broken pillar, glaring down at the injured king as he pointed Barrel's Warhammer at him. "What are you doing?!"
Andrias looked at the hammer, the weapon that once belonged to a dear friend of his. He then turned his gaze to the falling moon, and he knew what he had to do.
"I am doing what I must. Frobots, engage," Andrias ordered.
The remaining Frobots that were still functional all rose from the rubble. Grime and the others all looked around with shock as they readied to fight the machines.
"Frobots…Destroy The Core."
The assembled machines' eyes blinked as they produced high powered thrusters from their backs and took off straight into the air. Clearing several miles in less than a few seconds as they became glowing dots in the distant sky.
Grime was honestly surprised to see this as he looked down at Andrias and said, "I don't believe this. You're–!"
"Finally doing something useful for a change? Yes."
YOU FOOL! HOW DARE YOU TURN AGAINST YOUR OWN!
"…Tell me, father. Is it true? Did you kill Argus, Aja, and Maurice?"
WHAT DOES THAT MATTER?!
"So, you don't deny it."
YOU ARE BETRAYING US OVER SOME FORGOTTEN WARRIORS?!
"No, they were never forgotten. They always existed in my memories." Andrias took hold of his crown with his right hand and took it off, having the eye now face him. "You've used me, never given a damn about me. Because I listened to you, because I sought your approval so badly, I drove away the one I loved most, brought misery to her people, and got my best friend killed!"
Andrias began squeezing on the crown, causing some cracks to appear on it.
"And because of you, I manipulated a young girl's heart and feelings, someone who saw me as a dear friend. I betrayed her and allowed her to be used by you and turned into a twisted visage of herself! I WENT THROUGH WITH THIS WHOLE INVASION, THIS WHOLE PLAN, JUST TO PLEASE YOU LOT! BECAUSE I SOUGHT YOUR WORTHLESS ADMIRATION AND APPROVAL!"
Andrias squeezed on the crown harder and harder, causing more cracks to appear along the coral crown as pieces of it started to flake off.
YOU COULD'E BEEN IMMORTAL LIKE ME, LIKE ALL OF US! YOU CLOULD'VE BECOME PART OF SOMETHING GREATER! DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU'RE DOING?!
"Yes, I understand what I'm doing. It's something I should've done a long time ago… STANDING UP TO YOU!"
With those words spoken, Andrias crushed the coral crown in his right hand as he heard the final protesting cries of The Core echo in his mind before they faded away. It was quiet now. For the first time in a thousand years, Andrias no longer heard the whispers of The Core in his mind, his thoughts were finally his own.
The girls had wiped out the entirety of The Core's forces, a few scattered technorganic machine remains were floating around, but that was all that was left of them.
"Well, that was fun," Bellona commented.
"You have a messed-up definition of fun, Waybright," Amp retorted.
"Bite me, Boonchuy."
"Oooh~, you two flirting out in space?" Range teased.
The two Riders blushed under their helmets but smirked as they looked at Ranger.
"Aww, Mar-Mar, are you mad that you're getting left out?" Bellona teased.
"Wha-What?" Ranger gasped.
"Maybe we should give Marcy some extra attention?" Amp suggested.
Ranger's head was spinning from the teasing as she shouted, "Let's forget the teasing and stop this moon from destroying the planet!"
Bellona chuckled as she replied, "She's right. Let's stop this moon, and then we can tease the hell out of Marcy until she overloads."
"I'm down for that," Amp agreed.
The flame and lightning Rider took off towards the falling moon, with Ranger grumbling loudly.
"THERE WILL BE NO TEASING OF MARCY WHEN THIS OVER!" Ranger declared as she chased after her partners.
As the trio closed in on the moon, they watched as something broke out of the atmosphere, several somethings. With their enhanced vision, they saw that it was a squadron of Frobots.
"You've got to be kidding me," Bellona complained.
"Don't worry, leave them to me!"
Ranger broke off from the group as she summoned her Ruyi Jingu Bang, ready to easily tear through the Frobots. If the giant monstrosities from earlier couldn't hurt them, these low level mooks didn't stand a snowball's chance in hell. However, just as Ranger closed in, her foot struck against a small space rock, which tripped her and sent her into a tailspin. In the distance, Amp and Bellona facepalmed themselves.
"OH, C'MON! HOW CAN I TRIP IN SPACE! IN! SPACE?!" Ranger yelled in annoyance.
However, instead of attacking, the Frobots flew right past her, confusing the wind Rider and her partners as they continued towards the moon. The Frobots split up and began to comb the surface of the moon, the Frobots shot out beams of light as they began scanning, crisscrossing across the moon to find what they were looking for. One Frobot finally found it and sent out a signal to the others to converge on its location.
The Core saw the Frobot out in front of it, watching as its right arm transformed into a laser cannon and gathered energy to fire. The Core knew it could shoot that one from its position, but there was no doubt more coming, and there was no way it could defend itself from all sides in its current position.
ALDRICH, YOUR SON HAS BETRAYED US!
WE SHALL NEVER FORGIVE THIS!
WE MUST DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO KILL THESE HUMANS!
WHATEVER IT TAKES TO RECLAIM OUR BIRTHRIGHT!
RESTORE OUR LEGACY!
AND ESTABLISH OUR DOMINANCE OVER THE MULTIVERSE!
Suddenly, the entire moon began to rattle and shake. The Frobot's sensors started to run wild, blaring warning signals. The single Frobot that had the helmet in its sights readied to fire but was stopped as a blade of black liquid shot out from under the moon and pierced it through the middle before wrapping it up and crushing it in the liquid.
Ranger rejoined Amp and Bellona, and all three of them began to witness a spectacle that no one on Amphibia or Earth had ever seen.
The entire moon began to transform, becoming a robotic creature for a moment before an explosion of Dark Ichor poured out from it and coated every inch of the moon. The Dark Ichor created an enormous cocoon that cast a huge shadow over the planet. Slowly, orange cracks of light appeared over the cocoon, spreading by the second. First, two huge black feathered wings broke out from the back of the cocoon. Followed by a second pair that were size smaller than the first, and a third pair that were smaller than that. Two long arms broke out of the sides, each one had six claw tipped fingers, and looked lanky.
The bottom of the cocoon shattered next, and a massive number of tentacles came spilling forth from it, each one tipped with an obsidian-like blade. Finally, the entire cocoon shattered apart, revealing the rest of the body. The creature rose until it was at standing height, casting an even bigger shadow over the planet. Its head was oblong in shape and had several gnarled horns atop its head in the form of a crown. But then it opened its eyes, its thirteen huge eyes that glowed with burning orange light, as if to reflect the very hatred that burned inside The Core itself. Cracks started form along the chest and arms, creating intricate lines that formed along the arms and chest of this behemoth of a monstrosity. The amalgamation of the greatest minds of Amphibia, the creators of Amphibia's ancient civilization, the ones who pulled the strings of everyone like a demonic puppeteer, had donned a form most suited to its vile soul.
It truly was…The Night.
"What in the H. P. Lovecraftian heck…" Ranger gasped.
"You have got to be kidding me…I mean, really, you HAVE to be kidding me right now," Amp stated as she shook her head in disbelief of what she was seeing.
"…WHAT THE ACTUAL F–!"
"FOOLS! NOW YOU HAVE FORCED US TO USE OUR LAST TRUMP CARD! BEHOLD OUR DIVINE FORM! YOU SHALL NEVER OVERCOME A GOD!"
The whole of Amphibia stared up in sheer horror upon seeing this ungodly eldritch monster staring down on them, eclipsing all light and shrouding the planet itself in, what felt like, eternal night.
"What in the name of Frog is that," Hop Pop gasped.
"Well, that's gonna haunt my nightmares for the rest of my life," said Sprig.
"I can't believe it," said Andrias.
"What, Andrias, what can't you believe?" Olivia questioned.
"…I had thought that The Core wasn't being completely honest with me when it said that it had a limited supply of the Dark Ichor. When it became Darcy, its ability to create more of the substance had increased, but nothing to the abundance of what was found in the Dark Dimension. It appears that…The Core of the moon itself had an emergency supply of Dark Ichor, which would explain the abomination we are seeing right now," Andrias explained.
"You're telling us, that the center of the moon had a huge amount of Dark Ichor inside of it! And The Core didn't use it until now?! WHY?!" Yunan asked.
"Heh. Probably thought you all weren't worth its use. Now…it's facing three Kamen Riders at the peak of their power. It's been backed into a corner, and will do whatever it has to, to get what it wants. It will kill the girls and take the stones, and given its current state, it will more than likely assimilate the entirety of our world. The planet and every living thing upon it will be used as materials to fuel its current state."
"Andrias, your ancestors, were MESSED UP!" Polly exclaimed.
"Mmm, can't argue with that."
Amp, Bellona, and Ranger continued to look upon the horror that floated before them. This was beyond kaiju sized, this was a planet sized monster.
"Okay, since when did we go from fighting street level monsters, to honking space horror monsters?!" Bellona exclaimed.
"I'm pretty sure we just entered the second phase of the boss fight," said Ranger.
"It doesn't change what we need to do!" Amp proclaimed. "No matter what form it takes, we still need to destroy it before it destroys Amphibia and the multiverse!"
All three girls' auras flared up as they flew in at the giant monster. The Night watched as azure, magenta, and emerald comets came flying at it. The creature of darkness had hundreds of small orbs of orange and black light appear around it, and in the next moment, those orbs unleashed a barrage of orange and black light that bent and curved, homing in on the three Riders. Amp, Bellona, and Ranger got into a triangle and used their combined powers to form a barrier around themselves as the multiple beams exploded against it. The shower of energy blasts kept coming, but that's when all three broke out of the barrage and headed straight for the body of The Night.
Amp summoned forth her sword, Saipha, having shifted it into beam sword mode. The azure Rider raised her sword and called on her lightning and unleashed a huge thunderbolt at the monster. The thunderbolt struck against the body of The Night, causing a series of explosions as Amp strafed it across its chest.
Bellona charged straight for the arm of the monster, creating a monster slaying fire blade around Damocles. The Rider of flames released a war cry as she brought down the huge sword right onto the right forearm of The Night. The magenta flame blade released sparks as it cut through its technorganic flesh, and with one more push, Bellona severed the giant arm. But she wasn't done yet, Bellona sped towards the other arm and sliced it off.
Ranger had the Ryu Jingu Bang transform into its bow and arrow mode and fired three Titan Arrows at The Night, one at the lower half where the tentacles were, a second at its chest, and the third was aimed right at its big head. The three arrows exploded upon impact, creating three simultaneous explosions that glowed bright green in the darkness of space.
However, that's when the problems arose. The severed limbs of the monster immediately lashed out and reconnected to the arms that Bellona had cut off. The tentacles that were partially damaged had regenerated instantly, along with the damage to its chest, but its head was barely scratched at all.
"OUR TURN."
The bladed tentacles all began to rise and strike at the girls like angry vipers. Despite their enormous size, they were swift, making the three Calamity Riders have to dodge and weave at every angle they could. One tenacle came at Amp, but she managed to jump over it and ran along its length as she readied to fire another thunderbolt, but another tentacle came at her from the left, and was about to sideswipe her. That is until Bellona came in and sliced the tentacle off with Damocles at the last second, allowing Amp to fire her thunderbolt from her left hand at the base of the one she was running on. The thunderbolt hit, and exploded, but the creature's hide didn't show any damage.
"What?!"
"GIRLS, I THINK WE HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM!" Ranger announced.
Ranger made multiple Ryu Jingu Bangs that were in bow and arrow mode and fired them at once like fixed cannons. Hundreds of explosions ignited along the main body of The Night, and when the smoke cleared, the damage was far less than had been the first time she hit it with that same attack.
Three bladed tentacles slithered forth to strike Amp and Bellona, but both Riders readied their swords and released crescent waves of magenta and azure light that was meant to cut the first two. The third came at them, but the duo slashed it at the same time. But something was wrong. Bellona noticed it first, cutting the tentacle was fairly easy a moment ago, but now it was harder, as if its skin had become even more durable than it was before. Amp and Bellona released war cries as they poured more of their energy into their slash, and together they managed to slice the tentacle off before flying back to where Ranger was positioned. From their new vantage point, they watched as the damage that they inflicted was regenerating swiftly. Putting their efforts into killing this thing to waste.
"What the hell is happening? It's healing just as fast as we hurt it. And it's becoming even harder to hurt it with each attack," said Bellona.
"It's learning and adapting," said Ranger.
"What do you mean?" Amp inquired.
"The Core is basically a vast collective intelligence digitized into a single being. Combining the Dark Ichor with the reserves of super tech in the moon…I think it's evolving as we fight. Every attack we land on it that doesn't kill it, literally, makes it stronger, making it harder for that same attack to even scratch it at all."
Amp looked at the massive monster as she gritted her teeth.
"So, you're saying unless it's one-hit KO move, we're not going to take this thing down," said Amp.
"I either that, or damage it so much that it doesn't have time to adapt."
"We haven't used our Rider Kicks on it, yet. If we do that, we might be able to finish it," Bellona suggested.
It was a viable idea, but if they were only going to get one shot at this monster, then it had to be on its weakest point, somewhere that it would want to protect the most. Otherwise, hitting it anywhere else would only make it – more or less – immune to another Rider Kick from any of them.
"Let's aim for the head," said Amp. "I can't really think of a better weak spot."
"About as good a guess as any," Bellona replied. "Let's go full power right out of the gate, we're only getting one shot at this!"
"We're about to give this thing a titan sized migraine!" Ranger proclaimed.
The Calamity Riders' auras flared brighter and brighter as their individual symbols formed out in front of them. As they powered up, Bellona and Ranger began to make painful grunting noises, and it looked as if they were shaking. Unfortunately, this did not go unnoticed by Amp.
"Hey, you guys okay?!" Amp asked.
"We're fine, Anne! Focus!" Bellona retorted.
"What Sashy said! We only have one shot!" Ranger added.
Amp decided to ignore it for the time being, but she was hoping it wasn't bad. Once the three of them had maxed out their power, they blasted through their symbols and aimed their True Calamity Kicks right at the head of The Night. But the eldritch monster wasn't about to allow that. Its entire body released a blast sphere around itself. Orange and black energy surrounded the monster and clashed against the combined Rider Kicks of the Calamity Riders. The monster continued to pour out its energy, but the trio was still moving towards them, mile by mile they were slowly getting closer. This was putting quite a bit of strain on them as well. The auras that coated their bodies were protecting them from the majority of the energy and damage they would be taking in this sphere of destruction, but it wasn't going to last forever. They had to take out The Night now or it was going to wipe them out.
"EVERYTHING YOU GOT, GIRLS!" Amp cried out.
The three Riders yelled in unison as their auras exploded and propelled them forward like a blazing beam of tri-colored light. The Night's thirteen eyes widened as it let loose an ungodly shriek. A massive explosion took place inside of the blast sphere, dispersing the energy as another explosion took place that was made of azure, magenta, and emerald light. From that explosion, three lights shot out from the back of the explosion and flew back so that they were positioned in front of the planet, just in case. The smoke from their combined attack finally cleared, and when it did, they saw that half of the monster's head had been blown off. It was floating backwards now, with the orange lines on its body now blinking off and on, as if indicating that the monster was dead or at least about to die.
"Did…Did we…?" Ranger asked.
"We had to. We took half its freakin' head off," said Bellona.
"Please, work. Please…"
Unfortunately, their prayers weren't answered. The glowing lines along the body of The Night blinked faster and faster until they were now glowing brightly again. The monster stopped floating away and righted itself, now looking towards the planet and the three Riders. The blown off portion of its head rapidly started to reform as strands of Dark Ichor launched themselves between the gap until it completely filled in the gap and recreated the portion that was destroyed. The thirteen eyes reopened again as they glared at the Riders and planet once again.
"WE TOLD YOU ALREADY! YOU CANNOT STOP A GOD!"
The giant monster brought both of its hands close to its chest. Between those hands formed a sphere of black and orange energy that began to swirl and compact itself with each passing second. Amp, Bellona, and Ranger didn't waste any time wondering what it was going to do, and just threw their hands out in front of them as they combined their powers to create a shield comprised of all three of their colors. The shield expanded more and more until it was now able to cover the entire planet, and not a moment too soon.
The Night raised its hands into the air and then thrust them forward, releasing the pent-up energy in that sphere and shooting a beam of pure destructive power that released an unnatural warbling sound as it sailed across space. The beam slammed against the barrier, making the three Riders grunt from the effort of maintaining the shield. They could feel the energy of that attack chipping away from their barrier, there were even cracks starting to form. But they continued to pour their energy into it, mending the cracks and preventing the beam from hitting them and the planet behind them.
"UGH!"
"AAAH!"
Amp snapped her head to the right and left, hearing Bellona and Ranger's cries. That's when she saw that their auras were slightly fading, the energy being vented from their helmets was flickering in and out of existence.
"Sasha, Marcy, what's wrong?! Talk to me!" Amp demanded.
"Great…I was hoping you weren't going to notice," said Bellona.
"Same here," Ranger agreed.
"Notice what?!"
"Anne, do you remember what happens whenever we get a new form?" Bellona asked.
"Y-Yeah, it drains us a bit, why!?"
"Yes, the first transformation into a new form drains our stamina and puts strain on our bodies to the point that we can't maintain that form for too long. But as we continue to transform and fight, our bodies begin to adapt to the drain and strain, to the point where it's barely noticeable or practically nonexistent," Ranger explained.
"So, yeah, that's what's happening right now. Marcy and I…we're feeling it. The drain and the strain, it's a lot more intense than it normally is. Probably because we're at the peak of our powers," Bellona added.
"B-But I'm in this form, too, and I'm not feeling anything like that!" Amp questioned.
"Anne, you've been connected to your Calamity gem this whole time. And you've gone Final Form more than once from what I've seen. Even though this isn't the same look as your other form, it's still similar," said Bellona.
"Plus, you really pushed yourself during the invasion. You used it a lot more and stayed in that form a lot longer. Your body's adapted to this state, and when the Calamity gems combined with our belts, we all got a boost to our stamina and energy, practically wiping out our fatigue. So, for you, it's like being back at full power. So, you can maintain this form longer, but Sasha and I…we're fading," Ranger informed.
"I don't believe this! Since when?! When did you guys start feeling this?!"
Ranger and Bellona glanced at each other, as if coming to a psychic conclusion, they said at the same time, "Probably around the second half of the fight…"
Amp's eyes widened. Bellona and Ranger were fighting hard despite the strain this was putting on them. The lightning Rider looked towards the beam attack they were still fighting against, realizing that this fight wasn't going to end in time to finish The Night. And with their failed Rider Kick, the monster wasn't going to be felled easily now.
I guess…That just leaves one option…
"Sasha, Marcy, I need you to listen to me. I know how we can defeat The Core!"
"Seriously?!"
"What is it, Anne?!"
"I'll need to combine the power of all three Calamity gems together. Like you said, my body's adapted to this power, so I'll take that power in, and use it to destroy that thing once and for all!"
Bellona narrowed her gaze behind her helmet as she looked directly at Amp and said, "Why do I feel like there's a 'but' coming on?"
Amp sighed heavily as she added, "But…if I do that…there's a chance that I could…I could die."
"WHAT!?"
"WHAT!?"
Suddenly, the power output of Bellona and Ranger spiked as the shield expanded, became concave, and redirected The Night's beam attack right back at the monster. The hivemind didn't expect that as it was struck with its own attack, blowing a deep hole in its chest that seemed to visibly cause it pain.
"You are NOT about to sacrifice your life, Boonchuy!" Bellona argued.
"It's the only way, Sasha."
"No, it isn't!" Ranger retorted. "If anyone should sacrifice their life it should be me!"
Bellona and Amp looked at their partner with shock.
"It's because of me that all of this happened…If I didn't overreact…If I hadn't suggested getting that stupid music box…none of this would be happening! I was the one who wanted to trap us in some fantasy life so that we would never be separated from each other, and because of that, we all suffered!" Ranger reached out and grabbed Amp's left hand with both of hers. "I have to atone for everything I did! Tell me what I need to do, and you and Sasha can go back!"
"Screw that, Wu!" Bellona shouted. "If anyone needs to make the ultimate sacrifice, it has to be me! I've been controlling and manipulating you two…just because I didn't want either of you to leave me, because I wanted us to be together. I almost got Sprig and Polly's only family member executed. Broke your hearts, betrayed you, drugged you…I'm the worst! I promised myself I was going to protect you two, but I ended up hurting you two." The flame Rider grabbed Amp's right hand with both of hers. "Please, let me protect you two one more time, show me what I have to do!"
Amp shifted her gaze between her two lovers and sighed as she squeezed their hands.
"No."
"Anne–!"
"Just–!"
"Listen. For our whole lives, I've followed you two. Counted on you. Trusted you. Now it's your turn to follow my lead," said Amp.
"Anne…don't do this," Bellona wept.
"I don't want you to die…Please," Ranger pleaded.
Amp brought her partners closer, hearing them whimper as they cried.
"It's okay. If it's to protect the world and people that I love. To protect the two I'm in love with, it's a sacrifice worth making. Let me do this," said Amp.
Bellona and Ranger parted from Amp and glanced at each other. They then looked into the distance and saw how The Night was recovering and was almost ready to fight again. If Amp didn't do this, it would mean everyone died, if she did it, it would mean her death, but everyone else would continue to live on. Just without her in their lives. Their choice was clear, reluctant as they were to admit it.
Ranger and Bellona nodded to her. Amp nodded back and used her power to form a barrier around the three of them. Once she had, Bellona and Ranger placed their hands close to the crystal at the center of their True MetamorphRing Drivers. Upon doing so, the Calamity gems slowly exited out of the Drivers, as they did, their armors began to shift. Changing the two Riders into their Super Forms, and then into Trinity Form. As the gemstones left the Drivers, the energy that was given to the girls seeped back into the gemstones as they continued to shift through each of their forms before ending back up in their base forms. Once the gemstones had been fully removed, Bellona and Ranger's bodies glowed and returned to their civilian forms. With tears in their eyes, they had their individual Calamity gems float towards Amp.
The lightning Rider opened her left hand and allowed the gemstones to float within the palm of her hand. Amp looked back at her two girlfriends, their eyes still shedding tears as they looked upon her. The azure Rider opened her arms and allowed Sasha and Marcy to give her one last hug, she would've liked to give them one last kiss, but she wasn't sure if she could dismiss her helmet. Oh, well. Can't get everything.
"I love you two," said Amp.
The unholy roar of The Night caught Amp's attention, there wasn't any time.
"GO!"
Amp pushed both her lovers away, making the bubble barrier around them wrap around only Sasha and Marcy.
"I DON'T CARE WHAT MOTHER OLM SAID! YOU BETTER COME BACK ALIVE, BOONCHUY! I SWEAR TO FROG YOU BETTEEEEEER…"
With those last words, Amp sent Sasha and Marcy hurdling back to the planet below, back to their awaiting friends. It hurt, knowing that they were expecting all three of them to win this fight, and return together. It also hurt that she would be leaving them all behind, her mother, her father, Polly, Sprig, Hop Pop, Sasha, Marcy, everyone she had met along her Rider Journey, they would all be sad knowing that she was gone forever.
But…
Amp turned around, staring down The Night as it was approaching her and the planet.
If it means wiping you from the face of existence and saving their lives, I have no regrets!
Everyone had evacuated the castle and the city of Newtopia, the presence of The Night was causing the planet's gravity to get wonky, and making the planet shake and rattle. Their chances of getting crushed by debris was a lot higher in the city, so they all went back outside. For all the good it would do them, they would just have a better view of the incoming monster that was going to swallow their world whole.
Just then, Sprig, Polly, Hop Pop, and Frobo spotted a beam of blue light shooting down from the sky. They saw that it landed right in the shallows and hurried to it, thinking that it was the girls. When they arrived, they found out they were right, but one of them was missing.
"Sasha, Marcy?! What are you two doing here, and not in Rider form?!" Polly questioned. "Shouldn't you two be fighting with Anne against that monster?!"
Marcy started to sob as she fell to her knees, with Sasha gently guiding her down as she tried to hold back her own sobbing fit.
"Girls, what's the matter?" Hop Pop inquired, worriedly.
"Anne…Anne sent us back, she said she knew of a way to stop The Core but…but…" Marcy stopped, unable to say the words.
Sasha clenched her left fist as she finished Marcy's sentence.
"But it'll cost Anne her life…she needed the gems that we had to use this last resort…she's going to sacrifice her life to save us all…"
Frobo, Polly, and Hop Pop's eyes widened with shock, hearing that Anne was about to make the ultimate sacrifice for everyone, to protect them from getting destroyed. The gravity of this was almost too much to take in. But for one of them, it was way too much.
"NO!" Sprig exclaimed as he stamped his foot into the water. "NONONONONONONONONO! We can't let her do this! FROBO!"
The robot's eyes blinked from being called out.
"Take me to Anne, NOW!" Sprig ordered.
"Sprig! Frobo can go into orbit, but he doesn't have any kind of life support system for space! If you go up there now, you'll die too you idiot!" Polly shouted.
"I DON'T CARE! I HAVE TO STOP ANNE!"
Sprig rushed Strike Frobo, making him open his chest as Sprig got into the driver's seat. The controls weren't that complicated as he managed to make Frobo's Assault Wing module spread its fin wings and go full burn, blasting off from their position and straight up towards the only shimmering blue star in the sky.
Amp held the gemstones in her hands, the Strength Calamity gem was in her right hand, and the Mind Calamity gem was in her left. And finally, the Heart Calamity gem, which resided in her Driver.
"Mother Olm said all I had to do was ask for your help. So…please…I'm asking you. Help me save the world that I love. The people I love. The two girls that I love. Please…"
Suddenly, the Heart Calamity gem floated out of Amp's True MetamorphRing Driver, and it was soon joined by the other two gemstones in her hands. The three gemstones floated in a circle for a few moments before all three shattered like glass. Upon doing so, a power unlike Amp or The Night had ever seen exploded forth into the universe, this power shined with a brilliant white light, and shimmered with the three colors of the gemstones.
Amp's armor shattered apart, reverting her back to civilian form. This godlike power stripped away the WATs suit she was wearing, and returned to her the outfit that signified her start, and her change, that of her school uniform, and her simple gold colored breastplate. Anne felt her body changing, as every vein, every molecule of her body was charged with this unknown power, it felt so warm, so overwhelming, that she thought her mind was going to be lost to it. However, somehow, she managed to hang onto her sense of self. Her hair turned bright white as her skin paled, but it wasn't from death, more like she ascended to a higher state of being, a celestial.
Anne opened her eyes, revealing that her pupils and irises had been replaced by four pointed glowing stars, no longer did she need to just see with mortal eyes, she could see that and so much more now. It was as if the universe itself had been laid out before Anne, and it was beautiful. The energy then seeped into her Driver, with the center crystal glowing a bright azure, the right hip device glowed bright magenta, and the left hip device shined bright emerald. The Night didn't know what to make of this change, or the power that had just been released, and kept a safe distance from Anne until it had finished analyzing her.
The Thai teen raised her hands, ready to transform, but that's when she sensed someone approaching from Amphibia. Anne turned around and saw that Strike Frobo was heading right for her, but at the same time, she could sense that there was someone inside him, and she recognized who it was.
"Sprig!" Anne exclaimed, her voice echoing.
With a wave of her hand, Frobo was engulfed in a bubble of rainbow light that brought him closer to Anne, she then expanded the bubble, creating a life sustaining environment similar to the bubble she used for Sasha and Marcy. Once Frobo confirmed that it was safe, he opened his chest and allowed Sprig to come jumping out. The pink frog child leaped into Anne's arms, where she held him close as she felt him hug her tight.
"Anne, please don't do this! Don't go away!" Sprig begged. "I don't know what I'll do without you! You're my everything! You…You changed my life!"
Anne shed a few tears that floated and mingled with Sprigs as she hugged him back.
"And you changed mine."
Sprig broke the hug as he floated in front of Anne, who smiled at him as she gently placed her left hand atop his head.
"You are the little brother I never knew I wanted. You, Polly, Frobo, and Hop Pop. You're all precious family to me, and that will always be true now and forever."
Sprig continued to sob, unable to find the words to respond.
"I…I might not be here after this fight…" Anne took her right hand and gently pressed her index finger against Sprig's heart. "But I'll always be here, never too far away."
"I love you, Anne," Sprig wept.
"I love you, too, buddy," Anne replied.
Frobo felt the sadness of this moment, although he had not known Anne as long as his other family members, he cared about her just as much as they did, but his logical mind knew that this was the only way to save them all. It didn't mean he liked it.
Anne gave Sprig a kiss on the forehead before she used her power to gently float Sprig back inside of Frobo. The goddess floated closer to Frobo and gave him a hug.
"Keep them safe for me, Frobo," said Anne.
{I will, Anne,} Frobo replied as he hugged her back.
They ended their hug and Anne sent Frobo and Sprig back to the others. Once they were out of sight, Anne noticed small cracks along her body. It seemed that this power had a time limit, and that time limit was how much longer her body could withstand containing this godly power.
"Goodbye…Sprig." Anne turned back around to face The Night and raised her hands up. "One last ride…Henshin!"
Anne pressed down on both of the hip devices, releasing a blinding white light dome that wrapped around her entire body. The dome expanded more and more until it was like a small star, shining her light and chasing the shadow of The Night away from Amphibia. Sparkling particles of azure, magenta, and emerald light swirled around with the white light dome until the dome itself shattered apart and revealed Anne's Extra Final Form.
Her new form was simplistic, it looked similar to her base lightning form, but there were distinct changes. For one thing the crest upon her forehead was replaced by a crystal that shined with the three colors of the Calamity gems and had three horns that came out from the sides, and one from the top. The helmet's eyes had been replaced by glowing four pointed stars like Anne's eyes had been. Her scarf, which was originally red, was now a gleaming, silver twin-tailed scarf which flowed behind her like a pair of angelic wings. Her bracers, pauldrons, and boots were the same silver color, while the rest of her armor was an immaculate white. Her biceps had a single glowing strip running around it, while her thighs had two on each, and at the center of her chest was a four-pointed star. All of which were glowing with shimmering aurora colors, as if showing Amp's entire being was made of this power.
This was the form that Amp took, that Anne Boonchuy took. This was the power she would use to end The Night, and finally bring an end to all the sorrow and pain they had wrought. This form, which could only be described as Kamen Rider Amp: True Hero.
Amp looked upon her body and noticed that the cracks persisted even on her armor.
"Guess it was too much to hope that going Rider might slow it down. Oh, well."
"YOU ABSOLUTE FOOL!"
Amp glared at the demon-like monster before her as it yelled at her.
"YOU WOULD USE AMPHIBIA'S GREATEST TREASURE AGAINST US!"
Amp clenched her fists as she stood defiantly against The Night and proclaimed, "THOSE GEMS, THIS POWER, ARE NOT AMPHIBIA'S GREATEST TREASURE!"
As soon as she declared this, her aurora aura flared out and created projections of all the Amphibian residents she had met throughout the course of her journey.
"All of them, Amphibia's people, are its greatest treasure! If you can't even see that much, you are truly beyond pity. It's time to return to the shadows and let the light of the future shine!"
"WE ARE THE FUTURE!"
The Night raised its right arm and swung its huge hand at Amp, trying to swat her like a fly. But Amp merely held out her left hand just as the giant hand neared her. And with simple bump of her knuckle, The Night's giant hand was knocked back with the sound of resounding thunder. The Night's arm recoiled as it looked at Amp with shock, despite her size, she literally batted their hand away like it was nothing. The dark entity called upon its power and filled the space around them with thousands of black and orange spheres of energy. With a silent command, the orbs fired straight at Amp from all directions, leaving no escape route for the hero.
Amp didn't care, she simply began walking towards The Night. Yes, walking, she took a single step, and space itself rippled as if she had stepped on something solid. The divine warrior waved her right hand just as the beams neared her, sending a wave of aurora energy flying out towards it. The aurora crashed into the incoming beams, setting off thousands of explosions to her right. Amp waved her left hand and sent out another wave of that same aurora energy, as thousands more of The Night's beams exploded again. The other beams started to get closer, coming at her from the back, bottom, front, and top. Amp widened her stance, crossed her arms in an "X" pattern, and then yelled loudly as she released a huge wave of aurora light in all directions. The scatter beams all exploded around her, not a single one managing to reach its mark.
The eyes of The Night narrowed with an enraged glare as they raised their blade tentacles and launched them at the hero with swift slashes and thrusts. Amp continued to walk towards the behemoth in front of her, the slashes kept coming at her again and again, but to the great frustration of the monster, none of them were landing on Amp as thunder kept booming with each impact. It was hard to see, her actions were too quick for any mortal eye to catch, but she was moving so fast that it appeared as if she wasn't moving at all. Every time the tentacles came to hit her, Amp punched, kicked, elbow and knee struck them all, causing more of the thunder to resound in the vacuum of space, which in and of itself was impossible by physics standards. But then again, when did the laws of physics apply to a goddess?
Amp had stopped walking now standing a little closer to The Night, literally at its chest as she looked up at the massive creature, making it look down at her.
"My turn."
Amp threw a one-inch punch right into the midsection of The Night, releasing an equally monstrous shockwave that resonated and made space ripple upon impact. The giant monster's eyes had veins appearing on all thirteen eyes as it released a shriek of pain, the first utterance of pain that it made since this battle began. The blow sent the monster flying far into space. But Amp teleported right to where it was going to be, keeping her back turned to the monster. Without even looking, Amp spun on her left heel, and threw a left backhand into the back of The Night, creating yet another huge shockwave that made the creature shriek in pain once again. Amp teleported to the monster's head and threw a spinning roundhouse kick into the side of its head, nearly snapping its neck from the hit as it was sent flying in the opposite direction.
Once again, Amp teleported to where it was going to be and awaited its arrival. The Night managed to regain its senses as it spotted the white glowing star it was fast approaching. The entity of evil unleashed its beam of destruction yet again, this time having it hit Amp dead on. A massive explosion took place that obscured the hero from view, but The Night wasn't done yet. The monster unleashed a barrage of beam attacks on that same spot, causing more and more explosions to erupt as all thirteen of its eyes fired one huge beam at once and set off a grand explosion that lit up space in that area. The behemoth was panting and chuckled evilly.
"You know, beam spamming doesn't always work, y'know," said Amp.
The Night's eyes widened as it slowly turned its head to the left and saw that Amp was standing on their shoulder, just nonchalantly waiting for the monster to notice her presence.
"Hey, dude, what's up?"
"GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!"
The Night roared with anger as it unleashed its blast sphere of destruction around itself. Hoping to incinerate Amp. However, about a couple of seconds after unleashing the attack, the sphere was dispersed into particles of orange light. The Night was in shock, it didn't stop the attack, it was just cancelled out. Amp showed that she had gathered the particles of that attack into her hand and condensed into a small sphere, and with a clenching of her of her fist, she destroyed it.
"You're no god. And while I may have the powers of one, I will never see myself as above anyone!" Amp proclaimed.
Amp, in the blink of an eye, threw an elbow strike right into the monster's face and sent it flying yet again. The behemoth spun around, head over heel, or rather tentacle, as it flew through space, dazed from the blow. Amp appeared over it as she spun around and came down with a flying ax kick, striking the center of the monster's chest and making it shriek in more pain. She zipped around and grabbed it by one of its tentacles and threw it into the distance, coming close to the sun at the center of Amphibia's galaxy. The Night realized this and immediately stopped itself before it could be thrown into the hellfire of a star. The Night frantically searched the area, looking for the white Rider, but it failed to look in the obvious place. The surface of the sun.
Amp collected the flames of the sun around her right fist and jumped straight up from the surface and right to the monster. The Night realized too late as it turned around and was punched with the very flames of the sun. The entire body of the creature was set ablaze as it writhed and screamed in agony. Amp made a circle with her left hand, and with her right launched it towards the monster. The circle swallowed the monster, acting as a teleporter that sent it back to where this fight began. The Night managed to use its power to snuff out the flames all over its body. What was worrying it more was the fact that it was not able to adapt to this new level of power. Every time Amp struck them, hurt them, they were adapting and evolving to withstand it, but it seemed as if no matter how many times it happened, they were not able to adapt to the damage, or rather, perhaps Amp was just increasing the amount of power and damage she was doing with each hit so that it couldn't adapt, if that was the case, was there a limit to how much stronger her attacks could get?
Amp teleported right back to her spot, keeping Amphibia at her back. The cracks along her armor were starting to multiply, and pieces of her armor were chipping off. Her time in goddess mode was drawing closer to an end.
"YOU WRETCHED CUR! WE WILL NOT BE SILENCED! WE WILL NOT BE ERASED! WE ARE ETERNAL!"
The Night threw a massive punch at Amp, and the hero's eyes shined for a moment as she threw her own punch. When the two punches connected, a burst of white and aurora light went off that sent fissures of white light spreading across the right arm of The Night until they reached the shoulder. Those fissures spread more and more until The Night's entire right arm shattered into pieces, causing the monster to wail in further pain. But that didn't stop it from acting out of desperation and throwing an energy coated punch with its left. Amp met the punch with a palm heel strike with her right hand, once again sending that same burst of energy through the creature's arm and making it shatter apart. The many tentacles of The Night started to lash out at Amp, but for a brief second, Amp appeared to have multiplied herself and struck every single tentacle at once, sending the same energy bursts through them.
All at once the thousands of tentacles that The Night had shattered to pieces. What was even more worrying for the hivemind was the fact that the energy that Amp released into its body was eating away at the Dark Ichor that comprised its body, turning it into particles of white light just before they disappeared into the ether.
Amp groaned, feeling more of the cracks spread, and her body straining to maintain itself any longer. This was going to be the last attack, the last Rider Kick of Kamen Rider Amp, of Anne Boonchuy. Amp let her aura spread out as her twin tailed scarf fluttered behind her. A huge version of the Symbol of Amp appeared before her as she widened her stance and gathered all the power she had into this final attack. The aurora aura expanded and turned into angelic wings upon her back, matching the position of her scarf's tails.
"GO BACK TO THE DARKNESS WHERE YOU CAME FROM!"
The hero of Amphibia shot through her symbol as the entire thing wrapped around her body. Amp thrusted her right leg forward into her last Rider Kick, white light and aurora light surrounded Amp, along with arcing white lightning as she closed in on the monster's head. The Night unleashed one last desperate energy beam at her, trying to cling onto life with all it had, the beam hit Amp's kick, but her kick merely bisected the beam as she closed in and struck the monster right in the center of its face. The Night shrieked, not just in pain, but for the first time, feeling true fear for its mortality. The monster writhed and squirmed but could not get away from its impending doom.
Amp saw white cracks forming along the surface of The Night's head, and with one final battle cry, she drove her foot through the head of the demonic creature. There was a shattering sound, like glass, right before a blinding white light explosion lit up Amphibia. Within that light, The Night's entire body turned into ash as the Dark Ichor that made up its body, and the very hivemind itself, were turned into the very thing it feared it would become…nothing.
Down below, many had to close their eyes or risk getting blinded by the brilliance of the light that shined upon the planet. When it finally faded, the eldritch monstrosity they had borne witness to was no longer marring the skies of their world, no more was its shadow cast upon them, all they saw was a clear sky filled with countless stars. The frogs, newts, and toads of the Resistance, indeed, the whole of Amphibia, cheered joyously upon seeing that the nightmare monster was gone, that the war for the future of their world had finally ended. But not everyone celebrated. There were six who knew what was really going on up there, and that this victory was bittersweet at best.
However, a spark of hope ignited in their hearts when they saw something falling from the sky like a shooting star. A white comet flew down from the heavens above and gently landed before the Plantars, Frobo, Sasha, and Marcy. When the light faded, everyone, including the Resistance, gasped upon seeing the goddess-like form of Kamen Rider Amp as the twin tails of her scarf fluttered on the ethereal winds generated by her power.
"Anne…?" Sprig called out.
"Anne, is that you?" Sasha asked.
"Please, speak to us," Marcy begged.
Amp took a few steps towards them, and that's when her armor shattered, revealing an entity of pure white light. That light shrunk down before the light peeled off her body and revealed Anne.
"I'm back…"
As soon as Anne spoke the words, the divine glow of her power faded, and she fell backwards into the water.
"ANNE!" they cried out as one.
Hop Pop, Polly, Sprig, Frobo, Sasha, and Marcy gathered around her, all of them kneeling at her side. They gasped upon seeing the state of her body. It was if she had turned into living marble, with parts of her body chipping off and cracking. The Resistance army gasped as well once they saw the state of their savior, now understanding the price that was paid for their great victory.
"Anne, you'll be alright! W-We can fix this, right?! W-Where's Valeriana?! S-She might know how to help you!" Sprig ranted.
"It's okay, Sprig…There's…There's nothing that she can do, I can just feel it, you know. Call it a sixth sense I got now," said Anne.
"Anne, you stupid, brave, idiot! I told you, you better come back to us alive!" Sasha cried as tears flowed down her face.
"Heh…I did come back alive, but…not for much longer…"
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Marcy wailed as she screwed her eyes shut. "I did this to you! I…I caused this to happen! You…Oh, God, Anne…I'm so sorry!"
Anne, weakly, raised her left hand and placed it over Marcy's right.
"Don't be sorry, please. No one needs to be sorry. I have…no regrets about giving my life to save the people I love…"
Sasha gently placed her hands over Anne's left, while Marcy placed her remaining free hand on top of Sasha's.
"Anne, we love you, you know that, right? We will never, ever, stop loving you," said Sasha.
Anne smiled up at her two lovers and said, "I know…I love you, both you."
The savior of Amphibia slowly turned her head to Sprig, who was currently holding her right hand as Polly and Hop Pop flanked him, all three of them crying sorrowful tears.
"Hop Pop…Polly…Sprig, I'm so happy you brought me into your family…"
"Yer a Plantar, Anne, now and forever! You'll always be a part of this family," said Hop Pop.
"Please, don't go Anne…Please," Polly wailed.
"Shh, it's okay…Although, I do have one regret…"
"What?" Sprig asked.
"I regret…that…I never got to see 'Love Choice 2'," Anne answered with a playful smirk.
Everyone began to chuckle at the bad joke that Anne made, but it was so bad that it was genuinely funny in this incredibly sad moment.
Their laughter ceased as Anne closed her eyes, her limbs going limp. As soon as this happened, her body began to break down into a pile of leaves and particles of azure light that floated upwards into the air. Sasha and Marcy desperately tried to hold onto the leaves and particles, but they either broke apart in their hands or passed through them. The leaves and particles continued to float into the air until they disappeared completely.
Tritonio bit his bottom lip as he lowered his cap, and tried to hold in his tears, but failing to do so as his eyes leaked. Beatrix was crying, but she still held her stern expression as she took a step forward.
"A-All toads! S-Salute our…our fallen hero!" Beatrix commanded, her voice cracking as she placed her right fist over her heart.

Olivia had buried her face in Yunan's chest, with the young newt general rubbing the top of her lover's head as she gritted her teeth to keep herself from breaking down as well. Trying to be strong for Olivia.
Andrias, who had been watching all this from afar, lowered his head in shame. All of this was his fault in the end. Had he stood up to The Core, to his father, all of this could've been prevented, but instead, now he had to bear witness to the great sorrow he had brought about. The Core was gone, and Amphibia was free from its influence and malignance forever, but at the price of a young girl's life. A girl who never asked to be thrust into the position of a warrior, much less a hero. And yet, when the time of destiny came to call, she answered it nonetheless with a glad heart, and a courageous soul.
"I had it wrong, Anne…You weren't a true warrior…You were a true hero."
