Lelouch was on his way to the government's facilities of the Tokyo settlement, as he was pretty sure they would take Kallen to such a place. As he arrived, he noticed the area was heavily guarded, impenetrable for regular people. He didn't care as he was confident in his special power.

"Hey, stay away, punk!" yelled one of the guards. "This is no school playground."

"I command you to give me your uniform and let me go inside," shouted Lelouch.

The guard obeyed, so Lelouch took his uniform and put it on. He used the soldier's cask to hide his face so no one could recognize him. Now inside, he tried to figure out where they held Kallen. Right at that moment, another guard just came passing by.

"I command you," ordered Lelouch, "to tell me where the Shinjuku prisoner was taken or, in case you do not have the information, tell me who knows the location."

"All prisoners are held in the basement in the eastern wing," replied the guard, "but I don't know the location. Lady Villetta must know for sure. She's in the training room at the end of this corridor, the room on the left.

"Thank you," replied the Britannian Prince as he went to that room. Upon entering the soldier's gym, he saw some officers doing exercises. Among them was a young woman, which he assumed might be Villetta.

"Yes, private?" interrogated Villetta menacingly.

Lelouch was preparing to use his power on her, but he stopped as he suddenly realized that the woman talking to him was the one whose Knightmare he stole during the battle in Shinjuku. He had already used his mind control on her once, so it would not work a second time. He realized he was in trouble now and had to think his way out of this.

"Sorry to interrupt, milady, are you Lady Villetta?

"Yes," she replied. "In person."

"I have important information to deliver to the interrogators of the prisoner that has just been brought here," continued Lelouch.

"Very well," she replied. "I will communicate this to Lord Jeremiah personally. What is it you have to tell him?"

"I'm afraid it is classified as top secret information, Lady Villetta," insisted Lelouch. "I was instructed to tell no one but Lord Jeremiah himself.

"On whose authority?" asked Villetta suspiciously.

Lelouch paused for a moment. An officer came closer, curious to see who Lady Villetta was talking to. Lelouch sighed in relief and turned to the officer.

"I am a secret agent reporting under her highness Princess Cornelia, and the officer here knows me well. Officer, please confirm my allegiance to Lady Villetta!"

"Of course," the officer obeyed under Lelouch's power, "I can confirm that this man is a secret agent working under Princess Cornelia."

"Hmm…" grumbled Villetta, still suspicious. "Very well then. I shall escort you to Lord Jeremiah myself."

"I appreciate your kindness, milady," replied Lelouch.

Villetta went ahead, followed by the so-called secret agent of Lord Jeremiah. As they walked along the corridors, neither of them said a word. After a few minutes walk, they reached the place. They were standing in front of a small door. Above the door, there was a plate that wrote 'Interrogation room. Do not disturb!'. Next to the door, there was a guard.

"Please go inside and call Lord Jeremiah for me," ordered Villetta to the guard. "Tell him it's important."

"Yes, my lady!" the guard obeyed.

A moment later, the guard came back alone.

"I'm afraid Lord Jeremiah is extracting information from the prisoner right now," he replied. "He would not allow himself be disturbed."

"I am coming for a most urgent matter. Let me get inside," commanded Lelouch.

The guard could do nothing but obey his power, so he stepped aside. But Lady Villetta would not accept it that easily.

"Lord Jeremiah said he doesn't want to be disturbed," shouted Villetta, grabbing Lelouch by his arm. "So you'll have to wait here."

In a sense, Villetta could hardly believe that Jeremiah had such an important agent delivering critical information to him from a Britanian Princess, and she never knew anything about it. It seemed suspicious to her.

"Fine then…" sighed Lelouch.

The young prince took the gun out of his belt and pointed it at Villetta.

He shot.

Villetta stared angrily at the fake agent as the bullet pierced her chest right in the middle. It was too late for her to do anything about that. She fell to the ground.

The guard didn't move an inch or say a word as he was still under Lelouch's command. But at the sound of the shot, more guards rushed toward them. Lelouch didn't have time for this, so he ordered the first guard he saw to pretend he shot Villetta. And so he did, so when the other guards arrived, the controlled guard confessed the crime he supposedly committed. In the meantime, Lelouch rushed inside, crying out loud:

"Someone has shot Lady Villetta!"

"What?" cried a guard in disbelief.

"Let's go see what's going on," shouted an officer.

"Villetta? Shot?!" came Jeremiah's voice from the auxiliary room to the left. Lelouch recognized his voice as he had heard Jeremiah on the TV before. So he went that way. As he entered the room, he saw Jeremiah sitting at a desk. Sitting on a chair on the other side of the desk was Kallen, with a Britannian soldier standing on her left. She had bruises as if she had been hit repeatedly. Lelouch clenched his teeth but let no one notice.

"Lord Jeremiah!" shouted Lelouch. "You must hurry outside! Lady Villetta was shot by one of our guards!"

"By one of our own guards? Impossible!" cried Jeremiah in a shaky voice, his hands trembling. He couldn't believe it. He went outside the room without saying a word. Lelouch now faced only one soldier left, standing beside Kallen.

"I command you to free the prisoner and lead us on the shortest path to the exit."

"As you command," obeyed the soldier.

"Who are you?" cried Kallen. "What the heck is going on?"

"I came here to rescue you again... Q-1!" laughed Lelouch.

"No way!" exclaimed Kallen, eyes glimmering with hope. "You are the guy from Shinjuku!"

"The one and only."

"Why did you come to rescue me?" she asked.

"Because I want you to know my power," Lelouch replied without hesitation. "I want you to help me fight the Britannian Empire itself."

"Darn, after seeing this, I'm really inclined to believe this," admitted Kallen. "Anyway, in case you wonder, I haven't confessed a thing until now. And they tried to make me say many things about Shinjuku. They did many things to me, but I kept silent. I don't know how I would have resisted, so I have to say: Thank you!"

Lelouch and Kallen looked at each other for a moment. Since Lelouch had the guard's cask on his face, she never knew that she was actually talking to Lelouch, her colleague from Ashford Academy's Student Council.

"Can you stand?" asked Lelouch. "Are you able to walk?"

Kallen hardly rose from her chair. Lelouch gave her a hand.

"They didn't beat me up that hard yet," replied Kallen, visibly in pain as she tried to rise to her feet. "I'm fine; I can walk."

"Good," replied Lelouch. "Now, let's follow this soldier."

"I don't get it!" replied Kallen to Lelouch's ear. "Is he actually on our side? But he's the one who's been torturing me so far!"

"He was, but right now, he must obey and take us to the exit," explained Lelouch as he followed the soldier along the corridor.

"Boy, you sure are a man of miracles," admitted Kallen.

Lelouch and Kallen followed the guard and eventually walked out of the interrogation room. They soon bumped into Lord Jeremiah and his soldiers, who were still trying to figure out the shooting of Lady Villetta.

"Where do you think you're taking the prisoner?" shouted Jeremiah.

A dozen soldiers and officers were standing around them, blocking the way out, now pointing their guns at Lelouch and Kallen.

"Ah, good old Jeremiah, my friend," replied Lelouch calmly yet loud enough so that everybody could hear.

"Friend?" wondered the officers around.

"I don't even know you!" yelled Jeremiah. "One more move and I'll blow you to dust."

Everyone was staring in surprise. Kallen attempted to step back, but Lelouch grabbed her hand confidently, still facing Jeremiah.

"It will not be in your best interests," Lelouch announced. "Do you think I do not know about the Orange deal? It would be terrible for you if everybody here would know."

"What is he saying?" asked an officer.

"Orange deal?" wondered another officer.

Jeremiah was becoming very nervous and angry.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" he shouted.

"Oh yes, you do," replied Lelouch, preparing his mind control power for Jeremiah, "and now I command you to let us escape at all costs."

"Very well," obeyed Jeremiah. "Everybody, leave your weapons down and allow them clear passage!"

"Is he insane!?" cried an officer.

"Commander, are you serious?" shouted another one.

"Is he allowing the murderer of Prince Clovis to escape!?" whispered a soldier.

Lelouch and Kallen slipped away, following the soldier whom Lelouch ordered to lead them to the exit. The officers looked blankly at them as they were getting away.

"Let's go get them!" shouted one of the officers, taking the initiative.

"Yeah, let's go!" yelled the other ones.

"If anyone interferes with their escape," shouted Jeremiah, "I will shoot him with my own gun! Do not defy my orders!"

"Are you mad, Jeremiah?!" replied one officer nervously. "Are you on their side?!"

Soon they started fighting, but their quarrel was already in vain. Lelouch and Kallen had already long escaped outside of the building's perimeter.
