Yautja Ooman Translation through translator: Bold Italics

Enjoy :)

"Yes."Came a distorted voice.

Natalie's eyes lit up in amazement. This certainly changes things for them. Now, they'll really be able to understand each other. She can see he was pretty happy about it too, he was still sporting a smile.

"You need to make sure that it's hidden from the camera's view behind you. Otherwise, they will see it and come in here and take it." She said.

As she talked, the translator was going at the same time, each of her words were swiftly transformed into words in his language and spoke back to him.

"I know, I saw the camera not long after they put me in here. Though I was unsure of what it was. Until you confirmed it for me just now." He said.

It was quite neat. Each word that rolled out of his mouth, the translator would automatically turn it into English for her.

A small smile appeared on her face then she gestured to the cot. Natalie then went and sat on it. Yeyinde followed and sat down next to her. Though he made sure to keep the small device out of sight.

"You ok? Why they take you?" He asked.

The smile gradually disappeared.

"They...had some questions to ask me." Natalie replied.

He tilted his head to the side slightly.

"Like what?" He inquired.

"They have been watching us trying to communicate, through the camera up there behind you. Though I don't believe they can hear us. I don't believe that camera can pick up sound.

But they still saw us attempting to communicate. They inquired about it. And wanted to know...how much of the language you have picked up." She said.

"And what did you tell them?" Yeyinde asked.

"That we barely got through some basic words. Which is true. While you have picked up some words, it's still proving challenging to teach you other words and phrases. That's all I really told them." Natalie replied.

"Anything else?" He continued.

She was a bit hesitant to mention the weapons. But as she looked at him, she felt like he had a right to know.

"They wanted to know if...you told me any information about your tech. Apparently, they have figured out how some of your stuff works. But other things, they still have yet to figure out. Of course, I told them know, because obviously, we still can't really understand each other all that well." She admitted.

Yeyinde nodded, "Still don't know why they believe I would tell you, even if I did understand your language better."

Natalie just shrugs, "Who the hell knows. They are government officials. They see something new and shiny, and they automatically want to know how it works."

"Thank you, for grabbing the translator, and letting me know this." He told her.

She nodded, then her eyes averted to her lap.

He noticed she still seemed bothered about something. It seems like whenever something is bothering this ooman female, she can't seem to look him in the eye.

"I can tell there is still something else bothering you. Is there something else they said to you?" Yeyinde inquired.

"Nothing, they just told me some straight up bullshit lies. That's all." She replied.

"Like?" He pushed.

"Why does it matter? I know they're lies. And even if by some stretch, they were true, I wouldn't feel right about it." Natalie quipped.

He just sat there for a moment, studying her. Before he spoke up.

"Why are you here, Natalie?" Yeyinde asked.

She gave him a bittersweet smile.

"Because...I was in that alley when you apparently killed a couple men. They said there could be no witnesses. So, they kindnapped me and brought me here." Natalie confessed.

The young hunter looked at her and was a bit surprised.

That last hunt, the one where he was captured. She was there?

"Was that you, behind that big box full of trash?" He implied.

Natalie continued to stare up into his eyes. And she nodded.

Yeyinde was quite surprised at this revelation. He could understand the ooman males capturing him. But to take an ooman female because she saw him, it still odd that they would consider it. It's not like she's a threat to them. But then, he still doesn't fully understand how ooman laws truly work here.

"The funny thing is I didn't even see you. After I saw that man shoot one of the others. I got scared and turned away. I was too afraid to look back behind the dumpster after that.

But when I turned around, I accidentally ended up kicking a discarded can on the ground. It made a noise and I guess they heard it. because I heard them talk and then start walking over to where I was.

Next thing I know, all I hear is more yelling and gunshots. But I still didn't look. I was too afraid to. And I tried telling those men that. But they didn't believe me and took me anyway. I didn't know anyone else was there. I just thought they were shooting at each other." Natalie admitted.

The more he heard, he kind of felt bad for her. It was clear that she was an innocent bystander who just got roped into this mess.

"I wouldn't dwell on it anymore. Because we're going to get out of here soon." He told her.

"How?" She asked.

"Been trying to think of a good plan on how to get out of here. If I could just get to my armor and weapons now, we'd be good." Yeyinde explained.

Natalie started to give him a skeptical look.

"How do I...know you won't kill me when you get out of here? I don't doubt these people will most likely kill me. For all I know, you might too." She pointed out.

Yeyinde was a bit surprised to hear her say this.

'Kill her? Why would she think that?' He thought.

"Why would you think I would do that?" Yeyinde asked.

Her eyes became a little glassy, and she looked away and let out a shaky exhale.

"Because it's quite clear these people are looking to use me for their own gain before they decide to discard me. How do I know you're not doing the same to me?" Natalie implied.

So, that was it. she thought he was using her to help him gain his freedom and escape. Then she believed once they were out, he would kill her.

"I won't hurt you, Natalie. You have done nothing wrong. You got caught up in something that landed you here. It's not your fault. There is no reason to harm you." He assured her.

Plus, he can't either way. Unless she decided to turn on him and use a weapon on him. But he doubts she would do something like that.

"But how can I trust you? I just don't feel like I can trust anyone here." She said.

"You can trust me. Because I already saved you once." Yeyinde replied.

Natalie furrowed her brows in confusion. Saved her? When?

"Saved me when?" She asked.

"I saw those men approaching the large metal box you were hiding behind. I have no doubts they were going to shoot you. That's when I decided to drop in and make myself known to them and diverted their attention away from you." He admitted.

It was true, he did see her hunched over form behind the dumpster. And saw the armed men approaching. And that's when he decided to act.

"You, saw me? How? Where were you that you saw?" Natalie asked, a little surprised by this new batch of news.

"I saw everything from the roof above. Even saw them shoot the other male." He replied.

He was on the roof? What was he doing up there? Better yet why is he even here on Earth to begin with?

"Yeyinde? Why are you even here? On Earth I mean?" She inquired.

Yeyinde was silent for a few moments. He really didn't want to tell her why he was here. He felt she knew so much already. But it's not like he could really lie to her either. What the hell could he tell her? That he came here sight-seeing and just happened to stumble upon the group of men and her?

He almost snorted at that vague thought.

"I don't think you'll like the answer to that question." Yeyinde replied.

She arched a brow, "Is it something you're not comfortable telling me?"

"No, I just can't keep divulging certain information to you. Most humans are not supposed to know about us being here as it is." He countered.

He may be stuck in this cell with her. But that doesn't mean he can just up and spill everything about his kind and what they do on Earth when they are here.

Not to mention, these oomans may count on him telling her his reasons why he's here. Then, do things to make her talk and tell them what he told her.

Something told Natalie, he wasn't inclined to tell her anymore about the matter. So, instead, they should just focus on how they are going to get out of this shithole.

"Do you at least have somewhat of an idea on how we can get out of here?" She inquired.

"One of the things that comes to mind, may have to do with that gas they keep pumping in here when they want to take one of us out. I'm trying to see if I can build up more resistance to its affects. And try to see if I can hold my breath longer and not inhale it.

That way when they come in here to collect us, I'll be waiting. It's one of the only things I got going at the moment. I really would like to just awaken outside of this room and try to break free when they have me in the other room.

But it seems like they do everything they can to keep me sedated and my body relaxed. This way, it's harder to move and harder to be more awake and alert.

If you have any ideas though, I'm all ears." He suggested.

Natalie thought about it. But was unsure of what she could really do. If only she could sneak at least one of his weapons in here. That's one of the only options she could think of. But is unsure how to go about it. Plus, she's unsure if any are small enough to jam into her pants pockets or down her waistline.

The only thing that comes to mind is that somewhat small round weapon that she said resembled a compact mirror of some sorts on the outside. But after what Lt. Pearson told her about it, she doesn't believe it's a very good idea. She wasn't looking to accidentally skewer herself in the process of trying to sneak off with that weapon.

"I thought about maybe sneaking back with one of your weapons. But I don't think I'll be able to pull it off. Where they had me earlier. They were questioning me down in some large lab.

I saw the table they had all your stuff laid out on. It was literally a couple feet away from where I was sitting. It's where your translator was, and I was able to walk over and lift it from the table when they weren't looking.

But I didn't see any weapons that were small enough on that table that I could pull that off again. Except for maybe one. But I didn't feel like accidentally skewering myself in the process." She explained.

"Which weapon? What did it look like?" He asked.

"It was small and kind of circular in shape but somewhat flat. I inquired about it. And one of them told me when one of their tech guys touched it, blades shot out of it, and apparently one of the blades cut off the guy's finger." Natalie told him.

"My shuriken. It's a multi-bladed weapon. You squeeze it and blades pop out. You can use it in close combat to slash your enemies. It is also a long-range weapon. You can throw it at enemies, cutting them down to size. And it returns to you." Yeyinde explained to her.

"Yikes, that sounds very scary. Also, why I was hesitant to grab it. After what you just old me, I'm not sure I want to be anywhere near it. No way in hell would I hide something that dangerous in my underwear. The translator was one thing, but that one...you can forget it." Natalie stated.

Yeyinde couldn't help but laugh at that remark about her hiding the shuriken in her underwear.

"Why not? You could've simply boobie trapped your undergarments. Then someone would've gotten a nasty surprised if they tried to reach in and grab it."He teased.

Figures, an alien with a sense of humor. Just her luck.

"I doubt you'd be laughing if it was your underwear you had to stick it down." She quipped.

"Well, yeah. Considering, I don't wear any." He continued to joke.

After a few moments, Natalie just couldn't fight down the smile fighting to appear on her face. And she too couldn't help but chuckle.

"Yeah, I learned that the hard way when you decided to suddenly drop the cloth from around your waist in front of me when you showered the other day. Thanks for that by the way, I'll most likely have nightmares now from what I saw." Natalie teased.

He grinned, "Oh come now, you mean to say you weren't the least bit curious?"

"Hell no!" She blurted out.

Yeyinde started laughing again with that strange trill like laugh of his.

"It's not that funny!" Natalie argued.

"Yes, it is, the look on your face is priceless." He said between laughs.

She rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"You really must be quite the comedian back home." Natalie sarcastically responded.

"No, you're just easy to knock on." Yeyinde teased.

"Now you sound like my friends. They say the same thing about me sometimes. I'd be careful though; I may just knock on you back." She playfully threatened.

He smirked, "Good luck there, little human."

Natalie really was glad she was able to get ahold of his translator. It definitely changed things for the better for them. And now they can find a way to come up with a plan to escape.

Until Next Time ;)
