By the way, I made an error in the Reiji vs Ota Duel and I have already made the changes to it, so if you're confused, just go back to the previous chapter and it's explained there.
But enough of me talking, let's get to it.
Chapter 09: The Cost of Victory
Virtual World – Reiji vs Ota

Field: Revolver Dragon (ATK: 2600, LV: 7)
Reiji got back to his feet and he winced from the last attack that he received. "I can't believe that I got pushed this much." Reiji thought. "This guy isn't even a Duelist and I'm struggling against him."
"Now, what will you do, genius Reiji Akaba?" Ota questioned. "I've prevented you from adding cards from outside your Draw Phase, also, my Revolver Dragon has 2600 Attack Points and most of your monsters are high level. You only two cards, and I doubt you can set up a decent Pendulum Scale."
"It's true, with the cards I have, I can't set up a decent scale." Reiji thought. "And if I don't get the right card…" Reiji looked at his deck. "Am I really gonna lose here? All alone without accomplishing what I started?
"You're never alone when Dueling!" Reiji's eyes widened. "The cards in your deck, the ones you have chosen out of the millions in the world, they were fighting alongside you the whole time! Maybe not all of them, by everyone has at least one! The one card that they always put faith in to make a comeback! The one card that shares your dream. The friend that is the symbol of who you are!"
Reiji remembered when Yuya said those words at the Maiami Championship. The words he spoke were true, he was able to evolve along with Odd-Eyes to become the Duelist he is now and he is still evolving. All that Reiji did was tactics and strategy, he liked his cards but he didn't really connect with them like Yuya did.
Now looking back, he could see that he was behind not only Yuya, but Sawatari as well. All three of them could use all the summoning methods, they were also chosen by the God Cards and they have their unique Pendulum Summon. But there was one thing that Yuya and Sawatari had that Reiji didn't.
Yuya and Sawatari connected with their cards and their ace monsters, but Reiji only saw them to improve his strategies and formations, he never really connected with his cards. Reiji looked at his deck. "I'm sorry that I never really connected with you all, but I promise you, if you help me win, I'll treat you all better!" Reiji put his fingers on his deck.
"My turn! Draw!" Reiji drew his card. He looked at it and he smiled. "My Deck Master Effect turns the damage from a Contract card into replenishing my Life Points!" Reiji gained more Life Points.
Reiji LP: 300→1300
Next, using the Scale 4 DDD Death Great King Hell Armageddon and the Scale 10 DD Magical Savant Newton, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Reiji set his scale and his ace monster and magical savant appeared. "With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 5 to 9!"
Grand power that shakes my very soul, arise within me and become a new light that rends the darkness. Pendulum Summon! Come before me! Supreme deity who judges the twilight of gods! DDD Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok (ATK: 2200, LV: 8, PS: 5)!" Reiji summoned a king on a throne.
When this card is summoned, I can Special Summon one DD monster from my Graveyard! Revive! DDD Wave King Caesar (ATK: 2400, RNK: 4)!" Reiji brought back his Xyz Monster.
"So, you brought back both of your monsters, but you still can't defeat my Revolver Dragon!" Ota challenged.
"I activate DDD Death Great King Hell Armageddon's Pendulum Effect! Once per tur, I can have one DD monster on my field gain 800 Attack Points until the end of this turn! For this turn, I choose Wave King Caesar!" Reiji said as Hell Armageddon gave the Wave King more power.
Wave King Caesar (ATK: 2400→3200)
"Battle! Wave King Caesar, attack Revolver Dragon!" Caesar charged in and slash down at the machine monster, damaging Ota.
Ota LP: 3750→3150
"And now, Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok! Direct Attack!" Abyss Ragnarok unleashed a powerful attack that sent Ota skidding backwards and pieces falling off of his Deck Master's body.

"I end my turn!" Reiji finished his turn. "At this moment, Hell Armageddon's Pendulum Effect ends and Wave King Caesar's Attack Points return to normal."

"Damn you…" Ota cursed at Reiji. "My turn! Draw!" Ota drew his card. "I activate the Magic Card: Spell Books from the Pot! We both draw three cards! You better pray that these cards aren't Monster Cards. And you should be grateful since Claw Snatcher's effect doesn't work when you're drawing cards."
Both Reiji and Ota drew three cards. "Tch…you're very lucky." Ota cursed. "But I will still win this Duel! First, I'll summon myself to the field!" Ota moved onto the field. "Then, I activate the Magic Card: Cost Down! By discarding a card from my hand to the Graveyard, I can reduce the Levels of the Monster Cards in my hand by two!" Ota discarded a card.
"And now, I will evolve! I release myself to change my Deck Master!" Ota's body glowed, releasing a bright light and blinding Reiji. When the light died down Ota reappeared as a new monster. "My new Deck Master is now Perfect Machine King (ATK: 2700, LV: 8)!" Ota summoned his new monster. "And Perfect Machine King gains 500 Attack Points for every Machine-type monster on the field!"
Perfect Machine King (ATK: 2700→3200)
"Furthermore, the card that I sent to the Graveyard, Machine Bishop, has an effect that activates from the Graveyard. I am allowed to destroy one Magic or Trap Card on the opponent's field and gain 500 Life Points! I destroy your Contract with the Hellgate! Now you can't use you're Deck Master ability to raise your Life Points!" Ota's machine destroyed Reiji's card.
Ota LP: 950→1450
"Battle! Perfect Machine King, attack Wave King Caesar!" He unleashed his barrage of missiles that destroyed Wave King Caesar and damaged Reiji.
Reiji LP: 1300→500
"I'm more than positive that my next draw will be a Monster Card. Next turn, you're finished! I end my turn!" Ota finished.
Reiji LP: 500, Hand: 3
Ota LP: 1450, Hand: 0
Reiji looked at his hand. "This really is the last turn." Reiji put his fingers on his deck. "I'm not worried. You'll come through for me, because I believe in all of you."
"My turn! Draw!" Reiji drew his card. "From my hand, I activate the Ritual Magic: DDD Advent! This card allows me to release DDD monsters on my field or hand in order to Ritual Summon a DDD Ritual Monster!"
"A Ritual Summon at this timing?!" Ota exclaimed.
"DDD Advent also allows me to use the Trap Card: DDD Armor in my hand as the cost for a Ritual Summon! I release the DDD Armor in my hand and DDD Oblivion King Abyss Ragnarok on my field!" An altar appeared and the armor and Abyss Ragnarok stood on it and it became consumed by flames and 10 of them flew to Reiji.
"Armor that has been forged for the great kings of Different Dimension. Clad yourself to my body so that we may punish those that have done injustice! Ritual Summon! Be born! DDD Blue Armor – Mystic Armageddon (ATK: 3500, LV: 10, PS: 7)!" Reiji had new armor on him now colored with blue and red gems.
"You made a big mistake, Ota." Reiji said.
"What?" Ota gasped.
"In your own desperate attempt to finish me off, you placed yourself, the Deck Master on the field." Reiji fixed his glasses. "Which means Life Points don't matter at this point at all."
"Sh-Shit!" Ota cursed.
"Battle! DDD Blue Armor – Mystic Armageddon, attack Perfect Machine King!" Reiji put his hands out and a blue orb was formed in front of him. "Mystical Orb Blast!" Reiji fired the orb from his hands and the orb struck Perfect Machine King.
"No! Damn it! How could I lose at the rules that benefit us!" Ota screamed as he was destroyed.
Ota: Deck Master Destroyed
Winner: Reiji Akaba.
Reiji's legs started to give in and he slumped to the floor. "I did my part and I know Yuya and Sawatari did as well. Just a few more…and then…you're next, Leo Akaba." Reiji panted.
Gongenzaka vs Titan
Titan LP: 4000, Hand: 3
Gongenzaka LP: 1900, Hand: 1
"You are very strong with your Synchro Summon, but the Academia has provided me with enough data to counterattack your moves. There's only one way you can match me. Call your Dark Synchro Monsters! Only then will my victory be satisfied." Titan said.
"My turn! Draw!" Gongenzaka drew his card hard. "I summon Superheavy Samurai Nusu-5 (ATK: 200, LV: 1)!" Gongenzaka summoned a samurai that looked like a treasure hunter.
"When this card is Normal Summoned, I can draw one card and if it's a Tuner Monster, I can Special Summon it!" Gongenzaka drew his card. "I Special Summon the Dark Tuner, Superheavy Commander Oro-Chi!" Gongenzaka summoned his tuner to the field.
"I'm Dark Tuning my Level 1 Superheavy Samurai Nusu-5 with my level 9 Dark Tuner, Superheavy Commander Oro-Chi!" Oro-Chi disappeared and became nine stars and entered Nusu-5's body and two stars cancelled each other out and eight dark stars started revolving.
"Anarchist with a vengeance against government, unleash your anger and destroy this monarchy! Dark Synchro! Appear! Superheavy Anarchist Naginata (DEF: 3500, LV: -8)!" Gongenzaka summoned his monster with a long weapon.
"Naginata's Monster Effect activates! When this monster is Special Summoned, it negates the effects of all monsters on the field and destroys them! It's not targeting your monsters so you can't use their effects!" Gongenzaka pointed out making Titan grit his teeth. Naginata created a huge slash and it destroyed the two demons. "And for each one destroyed; you take 800 points of damage!" Titan grunted as he took the damage.
Titan LP: 4000→2400
"Impressive. But it's not over yet, from my hand, I activate Death Rook Demon's effect! When Genocide King Demon is sent from the field to the Graveyard, I can send this card to the Graveyard and revive Genocide King Demon (DEF: 1500, LV: 4)!" Titan brought back Genocide King Demon.
"Furthermore, due to effect of Pandemonium, when a Demon monster is destroyed outside of battle, I can add a Demon monster from my deck to my hand that is a lower Level than the destroyed Demon. Since you destroyed two in one move, I can only add one." Titan added another card to his hand.
"Battle! Naginata, attack Genocide King Demon! Dark Jab!" Naginata jabbed its weapon through Genocide King Demon and destroyed it. "I end my turn!" Gongenzaka finished his turn.
"Yes…that's the darkness that I want to see." Titan smiled. "Now then, it's time I show you my true darkness."
"Your true darkness?" Gongenzaka raised an eyebrow.

"My turn! Draw!" Titan drew his card. "From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Demon Fusion!"
"A Fusion Card just for Demons…" Gongenzaka guessed.
"That's right. With this card, I'm allowed to Fusion Summon a Demon Fusion Monster using materials in my hand or on the field, furthermore, the Fusion Demon Monster gets to gain the effect of one of its Fusion Materials!" Titan revealed.
"From my hand, I fuse Demon's Matador and Thunderclap Demon King – Skull Demon!" The two monsters entered the spiraling vortex together. "Demon King of Thunder! Matador of killing beasts! Become one and create a Demon that feeds of the darkness! Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 8! Bloodshed Demon King – Massacre Demon (ATK: 3000, LV: 8)!" Titan summoned a demon that was dripping blood all over the area and he had a blood red scythe ready to swing at anything.
"Next, I Normal Summon Demon's Spirit!" A ghostly form of a demon appeared. "I activate Demon Spirit's Monster Effect! Once per turn, it can become an Equip Card for a Demon-type monster and increase its Attack Points by 800 points!" The ghostly went into Massacre Demon and it gained power.
Massacre Demon (ATK: 3000→3800)
"Battle! Massacre Demon, attack Superheavy Anarchist Naginata! Bloody Massacre!" Massacre Demon charged with its scythe.
"From my hand, I activate the effect of Superheavy Samurai Soul Fire Armor! By discarding this card from my hand to the Graveyard, one Superheavy Samurai monster on my field cannot be destroyed by battle or card effects!" A fire armor protected Naginata.
"Demon's Spirit other effect! The monster that it's equipped to is allowed to inflict piercing damage!" Titan shouted and Gongenzaka got cut by the scythe, making him scream in pain.
Gongenzaka LP: 1900→1600
"Because of Fire Armor's effect, Naginata's Defense Points goes down by 800." Gongenzaka winced.
Naginata (DEF: 3500→2700)
"Don't think you're safe! Massacre Demon is allowed to attack twice per turn! Massacre Demon strike Naginata again!" Massacre Demon attacked.
"Fire Armor's effect is still activated!" Gongenzaka shouted as he grunted from the damage.

Naginata (DEF: 2700→1900)
"With that, I end my turn." Titan finished his turn. "Just so you know, I allowed Massacre Demon to inherit Demon's Matador's effect. When it battles, it doesn't get destroyed and battle damage is reduced to 0 and at the end of the Damage Step the monster that battles it is destroyed."

Gongenzaka LP: 700, Hand: 1
"What do you think, my darkness is powerful." Titan pulled out the Millennium Scales, "My darkness is a boulder compared to your grain of rice." The scales towards Titan weight heavier than Gongenzaka's.
"You're right, your darkness is much more powerful." Gongenzaka dug his feet into the ground. "But darkness is much more than power. Darkness is accepting your weakness, letting go of your pride, and it helps you discover more about yourself. Your darkness is just raw power, but mine is more." Gongenzaka unleashed an aura of darkness and the scales shifted weight again.
"What? Impossible?!" Titan gasped.
"My turn! Draw!" Gongenzaka drew his card.
"With my Pendulum Scale, Pendulum Summon! Appear!" The portal opened and two monsters appeared. "Superheavy Samurai Sword-999 (DEF: 1800, LV: 3)! And Dark Tuner, Superheavy Samurai Mystic-777 (DEF: 2800, LV: 7)!" Gongenzaka summoned a new Dark Tuner that had grey armor and a staff of magic.
"I'm Dark Tuning my Level 3 Sword-999 with my Level 7 Dark Tuner, Mystic-777!" Mystic-777 turned into seven lights and they impaled Sword-999 and cancelled out his three stars, leaving only four dark stars revolving.
"Invade like fire! Immovable like the mountain! Appear before us and dig yourself into the ground! Dark Synchro! Appear! Dark Synchro Tuner, Superheavy Sumo Shield-333 (DEF: 2400, LV: -4)!" Appearing was a sumo wrestler with a very large shield.
"Dark Synchro Tuner?!" Titan gasped. "But that's impossible?!"
"The darkness makes the impossible possible, you should know if you're a true wielder of darkness." Gongenzaka said making Titan tremble.
"I'm Dark Tuning my Naginata with my Sumo Shield-333!" Sumo Shield-333 turned into four black stars and it called out the eight black stars from Naginata and all twelve of them started to spin around the field.
"Lone samurai that walks the entire globe, appear before use with your sword that cut through the elements themselves! Dark Synchro! Appear! Superheavy Overlord Uchigatana (DEF: 4500, LV: -12)!" Gongenzaka summoned the most powerful Dark Synchro monster ever.
"Level -12?!" Titan's eyes widened.
"I activate Uchigatana's effect! By banishing a Synchro Monster from my Graveyard, one monster on the opponent's field has their effects negated and their Attack Points reduced by the Defense Points of the banished Synchro Monster! I banish Superheavy Ogre God Shutendo-G and negate Massacre Demon's effect!" Massacre Demon fell to his knees as he lost so much power.
Massacre Demon (ATK: 3800→1300)
"Shit! If I had just kept Skull Demon's effect, I would've at least had a chance to negate the effect!" Titan cursed at his mistake.
"As I said, darkness is more than just power, I was able to be this strong because I accepted my darkness but instead of using it for myself, I use it to fight for my friends and the other dimensions! Someone like you who only fights for destruction and a selfish dream can never understand that!" Gongenzaka pointed at Titan making him scared.
"Go! Uchigatana, attack Massacre Demon! Uchigatana Death Slash!" Uchigatana charged in with his sword and sliced right through Massacre Demon, destroying it and he then cut down Titan, shattering his mask and making him scream.

Winner: Noboru Gongenzaka
"I won…" Gongenzaka panted. He then noticed black globs rising from the ground. "What?"
"No! Stay back!" Titan screamed in fear as the globs headed towards him. "Please, no! I don't want to go to the world of darkness!" The globs consumed Titan until there was nothing left.
"Ironic…a man who praised the power of darkness…is actually afraid of it." Gongenzaka muttered. Gongenzaka then grunted and he fell on his back.
"I can't believe this Duel took so much of my strength…" Gongenzaka panted. "Crow…Rin…I'm sorry." Gongenzaka closed his eyes and passed out from exhaustion.
Future United World – Rin vs Paradox

Field: Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 3750, LV: 7), Continuous Magic: Magnitude Spell, 1 set card.
Paradox LP: 2300, Hand: 4
Field: Virtue Clear Wing Synchro Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7), Virtue Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (ATK: 2800, LV: 8), Continuous Trap: Virtue Shield, Field Magic: Virtue World.
"If you really want to know who killed Yuya Ryuga, you have to defeat me first." Paradox said. "But to defeat me, you must first make me serious."
"What?" Rin asked.
"I activate Virtue Starve Venom's effect! I can select one monster on the field whose Attack Points have changed and have them return to normal! Virtue Venom!" Starve Venom unleashed its long vines and trapped Cyclone returning his power to normal.
Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 3750→2500)
"But because Starve Venom used this effect on a non-Fusion Monster, it cannot attack." Paradox added. "Next, I activate Virtue Clear Wing's effect! Virtue Mirror!" Virtue Clear Wing made Cyclone weaker.
Cyclone Dragon (ATK: 2500→1250)
"Battle! Virtue Clear Wing, attack Cyclone Dragon! Heavenly Dive Slasher!" Virtue Clear Wing charged for the attack.
"I activate my Trap Card: Witch's Call! By paying 500 Life Points, I can Special Summon a Wind Witch monster from my deck! I Special Summon Wind Witch – Guard Bell (DEF: 2000, LV: 4) in Defense Position!" Guard Bell appeared.
Rin LP: 2750→2250
"Guard Bell's effect forces you to attack her and once per turn she cannot be destroyed in battle!" Guard Bell took Virtue Clear Wing's attack and endured it.
"Good defense." Paradox complimented.
"Huh? Aren't you trying to kill me?" Rin was confused.
"Even though you are the enemy, a Guardian must show honor and respect. That is the code that has been passed on for generations. Embrace your dreams and whatever happens protect your honor as a Duelist." Paradox recited the words of the Dragon Soldier.
"Yuya said that too…" Rin had a sad look in her eye. "That's why I don't want him to die. There's no reason for us to fight!"
"You're right. There's no reason for us to fight." Paradox agreed with Rin. "But you are unfortunately a pawn to your dragon and as long as that dragon lives, you will be nothing more than its puppet."
"A puppet…" Rin muttered before she looked at her dragon.
"Why are you listening to this liar, Rin?!" Cyclone connected to her. "If you care about Yuya, you beat this bastard down and get answers!"
"Cyclone…" Rin muttered.
"This is bad…" Virtue Starve Venom connected to Paradox.
"We must defeat her now or else Cyclone will take control of her!" Clear Wing connected to Paradox.
"I set two cards and end my turn!" Paradox finished his turn. "At this moment, Virtue Clear Wing's effect ends and Cyclone Dragon's Attack Points return to normal!"

Paradox LP: 2300, Hand: 2
"Rin, just win! That's all that matters now! Once you win, you get what you want!" Cyclone Dragon roared.
"O-Okay…" Rin stuttered but she felt uneasy. "My turn! Draw!" Rin drew her card. "By sending a Tuner Monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon Wind Witch – Aurora Bell (ATK: 0, LV: 10)!" Rin summoned a witch wearing aurora colors.
"I activate Aurora Bell's effect! By sending a Synchro Monster from my Extra Deck to the Graveyard, Aurora Bell takes on that Synchro Monster's name and I can perform a Fusion Summon using it an another monster on my field as material! I send Wind Witch Winter Bell to the Graveyard!"
"Now I fuse the Aurora Bell treated as Winter Bell with Guard Bell!" The two monsters entered the spiraling vortex.
"Sound of the wind running through a snowfield of midwinter! Become one with the guardian of wind and give a more violent echo! Fusion Summon! Appear, bell of crystal echoing solemnly! Wind Witch – Crystal Bell (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Rin summoned her Fusion Monster.
"A Fusion Monster…" Paradox looked at it.
"I activate Crystal Bell's effect to copy the effect of Ice Bell in my Graveyard! You take 500 points of damage!" Crystal Bell released a wave of wind that hit Paradox.
Paradox LP: 2300→1800
"Then, I activate the effect of the Tuner Monster, Wind Witch – Phantom Bell (ATK: 0, LV: 1) from my Graveyard! By banishing this card and Synchro Monsters in my Graveyard, I can use them as material for a Synchro Summon!" Rin revealed.
"I'm Tuning my Level 7 Winter Bell with my Level 1 Phantom Bell!" Phantom Bell turned into a single green ring and Winter Bell flew through them and became seven stars.
"Wind of the Winter Solstice! Crystalize this bell and let its chimes freeze the sound waves themselves! Synchro Summon! Come forth! Level 8! Wind Witch – Diamond Bell (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Rin summoned her evolved bell monster.
"When Diamond Bell is Synchro Summoned, I can inflict damage to you equal to half of a Wind Witch monster in my Graveyard! I choose for you to take half of Winter Bell's Attack Points as damage!" A strong gust of wind struck Paradox.
Paradox LP: 1800→600
"I'm almost there, if I attack and destroy Clear Wing with Crystal Bell and then self-destruct with Diamond Bell, Cyclone Dragon can end the Duel." Rin smiled. "Ba—"
"At this moment, I activate my Trap Card: Virtue Healing! During the Main Phase of my opponent's turn, I can recover my Life Points equal to 100 times the total Level of all Virtue monsters on my field! The total Levels of my Virtue monsters are 15! Therefore, I gain 1500 Life Points!"
Paradox LP: 600→2100
"Furthermore, the Battle Phase of my opponent's turn is skipped." Paradox added.
"What are you doing?! Don't think, just do! We could've won the Duel by now!" Cyclone Dragon scolded Rin.
"C-Cyclone…" Rin was started to get scared of her dragon. "I-I end my turn.
Rin LP: 2250, Hand: 0
Paradox LP: 2100, Hand: 2
"I have to stop that dragon. But, the only way to truly stop it is to destroy it in battle. I must get rid of those other monsters." Paradox looked at Cyclone. "My turn! I add a random Virtue monster from my deck to my hand!" Paradox added a random card.
"I banish Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon from my Extra Deck! Appear! Virtue Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Paradox summoned the virtue version of Dark Rebellion.
"I activate Virtue Dark Rebellion's effect! By skipping my Battle Phase, I can banish monsters on my opponent's field equal to the number of Virtue monsters on my field except this card!" Paradox revealed.
"What?!" Rin gasped.
"I banish your Diamond Bell and Crystal Bell!" Virtue Dark Rebellion formed orbs in his hands, similar to Overlay Units and launched them at both of Rin's evolved bell chimes and they disappeared. "And for each one banished, the opponent takes 800 points of damage!" Rin was blown off her feet and she crashed on the ground.
Rin LP: 2250→650
"I set two cards and end my turn!" Paradox finished his turn.
"Ur-Urgh…" Rin winced as she sat up. "He countered me so easily…I don't think…"
"Damn it, what the hell are you doing?! Don't you care at all about Yuya?!" Cyclone roared in anger.
"Cyclone calm down!" Rin begged.
"I thought you were stronger! You made me stronger and evolved me into Wind Ouranos Dragon, Savior Wind Dragon and Shinatsuhiko! But now you're screwing everything up!" Cyclone roared.
"I-I'm sorry. I'm trying my best." Rin apologized.
"Flower was right. We have to set things right. If this is the future, then so be it! It's better than letting human scum like you mess with the planet!" Cyclone stared down at Rin.
"Cyclone! Stop!" Rin raised her hand and her bracelet released a gust of wind.
"That stupid bracelet won't hold me back anymore!" Cyclone raised his claw and he shattered Rin's bracelet.
"No, my bracelet!" Rin cried.
"No! That bracelet is the only way to tame the dragon!" Paradox's eyes widened.
"I'm taking control and you will be locked away!" A small orb flew out of Cyclone's chest and it flew into Rin's chest and she grunted in pain.
Rin's Mind
In Rin's mind, she was in Neo Domino City and Cyclone Dragon towered over her. It let out a roar and gust of wind started to push her away. "Cyclone! Stop! We're friends!"
"Friends?!" Cyclone Dragon mocked. "You were nothing but a tool! All of us dragons agree! You were just tools to be used to purify the planet! And we will purify it by eliminating all humans! And you won't stop us!"
The wind became too much and Rin was blown into a prisoner transport truck that instantly closed and drove away. "Cyclone!" Rin screamed as she was taken away.
Rin vs Paradox
After Cyclone banished Rin to the deepest part of her mind, Cyclone took over her body with her eyes being white out and releasing green light.
Rin LP: 650, Hand: 0
Paradox LP: 2100, Hand: 0
"My turn! Draw!" Rin drew the card. "I activate the Magic Card: Synchro Hurricane! When Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon is on the field, I can activate this card! All of my opponent's set cards are destroyed!" Paradox's set cards were destroyed.
"Furthermore, I can treat this card as a Tuner Monster from Levels 1 to 5! I treat it as a Level 5 Tuner Monster! I'm Tuning my Level 7 Wind Witch – Cyclone Dragon with my Level 5 Synchro Hurricane!" The Magic Card turned into five green rings and Cyclone flew through them and became seven stars.
"Winds that bring destruction and chaos! Rip apart the homes of disgusting humans and bring death to all! Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 12! Supreme Queen Hurricane Dragon – Typhon Death Dragon (ATK: 4000, LV: 12)!" Appearing was a dark grey version of Cyclone, releasing raging storms, thunder and lightning.
"Typhon Death Dragon's Attack Points are multiplied by the number of monsters on my opponent's field, since you have three, Typhon Death Dragon's Attack Points are tripled!" Typhon Death Dragon's winds became harsher.
Typhon Death Dragon (ATK: 4000→12,000)
"Now you die! Battle! Typhon Death Dragon, attack Virtue Clear Wing! Death Hurricane!" Typhon Death Dragon unleashed a very large hurricane that consumed the entire building that they were on.
Rin let out a very maniacal laugh at the destruction that Typhon Death Dragon had caused. "And now, so much for your honor and dreams!"
"So sad."
Rin stopped laughing as the hurricane died down and Paradox was still standing even though his dragons were gone and his Life Points haven't changed.
"What?! How?!" Rin exclaimed.
"From my Graveyard, I activate the Magic Card that you destroyed. Virtue Intervention. By releasing all the Virtue monsters, I have on my field, I was able to reduce all Battle Damage to 0. Furthermore, I activate the other card you destroyed, the Trap Card: Virtue Paradigm Shift!"
"This card can be activated in the Graveyard, when three of the four Virtue versions of the Heavenly Dragons are in my Graveyard. By sending Virtue Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon from my deck to the Graveyard, as well as paying half of my Life Points, I can Special Summon Virtue Truth Dragon!" Paradox roared as a large dragon appeared below him and it towered over Typhon Death Dragon.
Paradox LP: 2100→1050
Virtue Truth Dragon (ATK: 5000, LV: 12)
"Damn it!" Rin cursed.
"With only one monster, Typhon Death Dragon's Attack Points return to normal." Paradox said.
Typhon Death Dragon (ATK: 12,000→4000)
"My turn!" Paradox drew his card. "Battle! Virtue Truth Dragon, attack Death Typhon Dragon! Holy Virtue Roar!" Virtue Truth Dragon let out a golden, holy breath attack and it engulfed Death Typhon Dragon.
"You think you've defeated me! I locked that pathetic girl away! You won't stop us! We will purify the world!" Rin screamed before the blast struck her and knocked her out.
Rin LP: 650→0
Winner: Paradox
Virtue Truth Dragon disappeared and Paradox approached the unconscious Rin. He then looked at the shattered bracelet. "That bracelet was the only way to prevent those dragons from taking control of their hosts. Even though I defeated the beast, I don't think I've freed Rin from the its control."
Paradox gathered the shattered pieces of Rin's bracelet. "There's nothing more I can do. For this future to be saved, there's only one Duelist that can stop it. But for now…forgive me."
Eve's Laboratory
"And this card can counter that Xyz Dragon…but the Synchro Dragon could be a problem." Eve looked at her cards.
A flash of light shined behind her and Paradox appeared. "Eve…"
"Who are you? How do you know my name?" Eve asked.
Paradox dropped an unconscious Rin in front of Eve. "This girl has been possessed by her Nature Dragon and her bracelet has shattered."
"No! The Eve Factor!" Eve panicked.
"So long as one part is pure, the Eve factor should be restored to its regular state. Protect that piece at all costs. I've done all I could. The rest is up to you and Yuya Ryuga." Paradox disappeared.
"Wait!" Eve reached out but Paradox disappeared. Eve looked down at the unconscious Rin. "I can't let Leo Akaba have her now."
Eve dragged Rin into a cell and locked the door. "Ruri Kurosaki and Yuzu Hiiragi's factors are already tainted. The only one left is…" Eve looked at the screen where Serena was at.
Academia – Beach
A loud shattering sound was heard. "Oh no!" Yuzu exclaimed as her foot crushed her bracelet.
"How did your bracelet fall on the floor?" Akari looked confused. "It doesn't look adjustable."
"I-It's very hot and I'm really sweaty." Yuzu fanned herself.
"Oh, that makes sense." Jonouchi said. "Well, nothing we can do about it. Let's keep going."
Yuzu smiled sinisterly as her smashed bracelet. "I can feel it. Cyclone did his part, just two more."
