Chapter 10: Escape the Virtual World

Virtual World – Forest

Yuya had been walking the forest ever since he defeated Oshita. "Geez, how long does this forest go?" Yuya was getting a little tired.

Suddenly, a door appeared right in front of him. "Yeah, that's definitely not suspicious." Yuya sarcastically stated. "But I'll take my chances." Yuya went up to the door.

Virtual World – Courthouse

"Oh, come on!" Sawatari grumbled as he passed a door that had a smiley face on it. "I've passed this door so many times! Where is the freaking exit!"

The door then let out a glow from the other side. "Okay it didn't do that before." Sawatari went up to the door and turned the knob. "And it was definitely not unlocked…eh, it's probably nothing."

Virtual World – Military Factory

Reiji didn't even have to move as a door materialized in front of him. "Looks like I'm allowed to move on to the next level."

Reiji walked up to the door and opened the door.

Virtual World – Kaiba Land

Three doors materialized in the same area and they opened to reveal the trio coming through. "Sawatari! Reiji!" Yuya smiled at seeing them.

"Of course, you guys would win your Duels." Reiji said.

"Like the great Shingo Sawatari would ever lose to such a bunch of corporate scumbags that cheat their way to victory." Sawatari said. "So, where are we?"

"Kaiba Land." Yuya answered.

"How did you know so fast?" Sawatari asked.

"It says so on that building." Yuya pointed to the building that had big font letters that spelled Kaiba Land.

"How did I miss that?" Sawatari asked himself.

"Let's go." Reiji walked towards the building with Yuya and Reiji behind him. They made it to the door where it was shut tight.

"Hey look." Yuya pointed to where there was a chess table by a keypad. "Any of you know chess?"

"I'm more of checkers guy." Sawatari said.

Reiji picked up a Knight Piece and placed it to trap the King. "Checkmate." Reiji finished and the doors were unlocked.

The trio walked through the doors and into a dark hallway before reaching the next room where a video projector was facing a screen. "Man, talk about old school." Sawatari said. "What's next a VHS? A Walkman?"

Yuya walked up to the projector and turned it on. "How did you know how to operate it?" Reiji asked.

"A family memory…" Yuya had a warm smile on his face.

He recalled when he was little, when Zarc was on vacation from Dueling that he would set up an outdoor movie for himself, Ray and Yuya. The family would watch together and enjoy whatever movie Zarc rented.

The movie played and it showed Noah with an older man. "Who's that?" Yuya questioned.

"Oh, this guy I know. He's Gozaburo Kaiba, the CEO before Seto Kaiba." Sawatari noticed. "My mom had a lot of conflicts with Kaiba Corporation when he was CEO."

"But what's Noah doing with him?" Reiji questioned.

"Maybe there's a connection." Yuya looked at Gozaburo celebrating Noah's birthday.

"He looks happy, maybe this is a video compilation of his best—" The video showed Noah getting hit by a car, making the trio wince. "You know it's his fault for not looking both ways." Sawatari said.

"Dude…" Yuya gave Sawatari a look.

"Sorry, but it's hard to be sympathetic to a little brat that's been trying to kill us. And yeah, I want to live." Sawatari argued.

"You three don't deserve to live!"

The area around the trio changed into a molten lava field with them on top of a cooling platform. "Wh-What is this?" Yuya looked around before he saw Noah and another man with him. "Noah!"

"Yuya Ryuga, Reiji Akaba, Shingo Sawatari, the Standard Dimensions Top 3 Duelists and threat to the ARC Area Project." Noah said. "Prepare yourselves for your very last Duels!"

"Why don't you explain yourself?" Reiji narrowed his eyes. "We saw a video of your death, so how are you here?"

"Well, I supposed I could entertain you with my life story. First, I should introduce myself properly, I'm Noah Kaiba, the biological child of Gozaburo Kaiba." Noah introduced himself.

"Oh man, I feel bad for the poor lady that got knocked up." Sawatari commented.

"Silence!" Noah got angry. As he did a large white sphere descended in between the two groups. "That is the container holding my true brain! My conscious lies dormant inside it!"

"I see…" Reiji fixed his glasses. "Because your died in the real world, your mind was digitized by computers, creating this Virtual World, and allowing you to keep living."

"As expected of the Professor's son, you've figured it all out." Noah complimented. "I was groomed to be made the heir of Kaiba Corporation. I was given an advanced education and excelled in everything from academics, music and sports. Had it not been for that accident, Kaiba Corporation would have remained a military company."

"But then Seto appeared. My father adopted him so that he could be my rival to motivate me to surpass all expectations. But even though I surpassed them, Seto had gone further beyond with the Solid Vision System." Noah growled. "My father abandoned all hope for me and focused on Seto and that lead to his suicide. I was alone, no one to talk to…until your father came along Reiji Akaba."

"What did he promise you?" Reiji asked.

"It's simple. All I have to do is eliminate the major threats to the ARC Area Project and when the United World is created once more, he'll create a vessel for me to live in the real world. A vessel so real it's like I never have died." Noah revealed.

"An actual body…is that even possible?" Yuya asked.

"It is possible…but to do that we need to break down an already living body down to its microscopic size and then we rearrange the molecules and atoms into a brand-new body. Bones, muscles, tissues, organs, everything can be taken apart and put back together like a puzzle." Noah revealed.

"Why would the Professor do that for someone like you?" Sawatari asked. "He only cares about his own goals."

"The body being prepared for me is a prototype to the real body." Noah said. "You know the Professor had more than one child, right, Yuya?"

Yuya's eyes widened. "Mom…"

"That's right, that is another part of the ARC Area Project, Revival Zero. All of the necessary pieces to revive your mother, Ray Akaba are gathered her at the Academia." Noah revealed.

"Thanks to the report from Yusho Sakaki, we know your mother lives within your heart. Once Leo Akaba learns how to extract her from within you, he can place her in a new body, a body that will be made by breaking down the bodies of Yuzu Hiiragi, Ruri Kurosaki, Rin Hogan and Serena Andersen." Noah revealed, horrifying Yuya.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Sawatari waved his hands. "The Professor is gonna literally Frankenstein this whole thing! That's messed up!"

"Noah, you bastard! I'm gonna—" Yuya was gonna challenge Noah when Reiji put his arm in front of Yuya.

"I'll take on Noah." Reiji said.

"Interesting…well it doesn't matter who I face, the result is obvious. Very well, Reiji Akaba, I'll take you on. As for the other two, you have them, Daimon." Noah turned to the man next to him.

"Yes, Noah." The man jumped over the pit and grabbed Yuya and Sawatari by their jackets.

"H-Hey?!" Sawatari screamed.

"What are you doing?!" Yuya shouted.

"This place is too small for our Duel. I know the perfect place for our battle!" Daimon said as he flew off with Yuya and Sawatari.

"Now that there are no distractions, shall we begin, Reiji?" Noah asked.

"Yes." Reiji answered. "And I have chosen my Deck Master. This time, it is my ace monster! DDD Death Great King Hell Armageddon!" Reiji chose his first Pendulum Monster as he activated his Duel Disk.

"Time to destroy you and get my own body!" Noah summoned a Duel Disk, activated it and inserted his deck.

"Duel!" Reiji and Noah declared.

"I will go first! Draw!" Reiji drew his card. "Using the Scale 6 DD Magical Savant Thomas and the Scale 8 DD Magical Savant Nikola, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Reiji set his scale. "With this, I can simultaneously summon Level 7 monsters!"

"Grand power that shakes my very soul, arise within me and become a new light that rends the darkness. Pendulum Summon! Come before me, my monster!" A single monster came out of the portal. "DD Vice Typhon (DEF: 2800, LV: 7)!" Reiji summoned his half medusa, half snake fiend.

"I set two cards and end my turn!" Reiji finished his turn.

Noah LP: 4000, Hand: 5

"Oh, not starting with your consecutive summons? Did you get a bad hand?" Noah asked.

"Don't ask questions you already know the answer too." Reiji said.

"Now I'm starting to understand why the Professor is irritated with you. My turn! Draw!" Noah drew his card. "I summon Chiron the Sage. (ATK: 1800, LV: 4)!" Noah summoned a monster with the body of a horse.

"I activate Chiron the Sage's Monster Effect! Once per turn, I can discard one Magic Card from my hand to the Graveyard, and then destroy one Magic or Trap Card on the opponent's field. I destroy…the card on the right!" One of Reiji's cards was destroyed.

"Then, I activate the Magic Card: Shield Crush! This destroys one monster on my opponent's field that is in Defense Position!" A powerful laser headed for Vice Typhon and destroyed it.

"Battle! Chiron the Sage, attack Reiji Akaba!" Chiron charged towards Reiji.

"I activate my Trap Card: DD Barrier! By sending a DD monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I can reduce the Battle Damage in half!" A barrier formed around Reiji but the attack still went through and Reiji grunted.

"Always getting yourself out of a jam huh?" Noah smirked. "I end my turn."

"For the sake of the Four Dimensions, I cannot lose here!" Reiji fixed his glasses. "My turn! Draw!" Reiji drew his card. "Pendulum Summon! Appear! DDD Supreme Dragon King Pendragon (ATK: 2600, LV: 7)!" Reiji summoned a dragon like fiend monster.

"Battle! DDD Supreme Dragon King Pendragon, attack Chiron the Sage!" Supreme King Pendragon unleashed a powerful breath attack that reduced Chiron to ashes.

Noah LP: 4000→3200

"I end my turn!" Reiji finished his turn.

Reiji LP: 3100, Hand: 0
Noah LP: 3200, Hand: 3

"Not bad, Reiji. But such an evil monster does not fit in well with the holy land I've created. My turn! Draw!" Noah drew his card.

"Demons shall be sent back to the darkness they came from! I activate the Magic Card: Fissure! This destroys the monster with the lowest Attack Points on your field, but since you only have one, Supreme King Dragon Pendragon is destroyed." Supreme King Dragon Pendragon was dragged below.

"Next, I Normal Summon Sacred God Ares (ATK: 1800, LV: 4)!" Noah summoned a warrior with a spear and shield. "Go! Ares! Direct Attack!" The warrior charged and struck Reiji hard.

Reiji LP: 3100→1300

"I set one card and end my turn!" Noah finished his turn. "Now what's wrong, Reiji? Is this all the strength of your DD Deck can muster even with the power of Pendulum? If you don't take me seriously, this match will be over before you even realize it."

"I always take my Duels seriously." Reiji fixed his glasses. "No matter how old or experienced my opponent is, I always give it 110%."

Noah LP: 3200, Hand: 1

"My turn! Draw!" Reiji drew his card. "Pendulum Summon! Gaze intently upon the world, my servant! DDD Supersight King Zero Maxwell (ATK: 2800, LV: 7, PS: 4)!" Reiji summoned a new DDD Pendulum.

"At this moment, my Deck Master's Hell Armageddon's effect activates! When a Pendulum Monster is Pendulum Summoned, it gains 800 Attack Points!" Reiji gave Maxwell more power.

Supersight King Zero Maxwell (ATK: 2800→3600)

"You've got some nerve dirtying my holy land with evil fiends." Noah glared at Reiji's monster.

"Battle! Supersight King Zero Maxwell, attack Ares!" Reiji ordered.

"You're long-winded, Reiji! I will return those evil souls to where they came from! I activate my Trap Card: Earth's Crust Change!" Noah played his trap and the magma started to erupt.

"Don't underestimate the Kings of the Different Dimensions!" Reiji shouted. "Thanks to Hell Armageddon's effect, when a DDD Pendulum Monster battles, all activations of the opponent's Magic, Trap and Monster effects are negated and destroyed!" Hell Armageddon unleashed his power and stopped the magma and destroyed Noah's card.

Supersight King Zero Maxwell struck Ares and made Noah skid backwards. "Damn you." Noah cursed.

Noah LP: 3200→1400

"You keep talking as if you're the god of this world, but the kings of the Different Dimensions will defeat even God to achieve their goals! I will defeat you and then stop Leo Akaba!" Reiji declared.

Virtual World – Wasteland

Daimon brought Yuya and Sawatari to a wasteland a far distance from Reiji and Noah's Duel. "This is a good spot." Daimon dropped Yuya and Sawatari on the ground.

"Let me guess, we have to face you and your partner in a Tag Duel?" Sawatari glared at Daimon.

"The Professor has deemed Otaki weak so he already eliminated him from existence. You will both be facing me at the same time." Daimon explained.

"A 2 vs 1 Duel. But I suppose you get to make up the rules." Yuya said.

"Don't worry. I won't do anything underhanded like Oka. Among the Big 5, not only am I the strongest, but I'm also the one with most honor." Daimon said. "And you're a Duelist that holds honor, don't you, Yuya Ryuga."

"Very well, name the rules." Yuya said.

"As you said, this Duel will be 2 vs 1. Since I am by myself, I will take the first turn and my Life Points will be doubled to 8000. However, after I take my first turn, you two will be able to conduct yours afterwards. But no one is allowed to attack on their first turn." Daimon explained.

"That sounds fair, guess you're not the type to lie." Sawatari said.

"Now, build your decks." The wall of cards appeared in front of Yuya and Sawatari and they started making their decks.

As Sawatari made his deck, he noticed some Amazoness cards. "Gloria…"

Fusion Dimension – Pier

Sawatari was finished saying goodbye to his father and headed for the ship. "Shingo!" Sawatari stopped and turned to see Gloria.

"Uh…it was Gloria, right?" Sawatari kind of forgot who was who.

"Yes, listen, I just wanted to give you this." Gloria held out an emerald amulet.

"What's this?" Sawatari asked.

"According to our teacher, we are to give these amulets to a man that we deemed worthy to be our equal. It's meant as a charm during times of war, if you wear this, you'll be protected from any kind of evil." Gloria said.

"Well, it does look stylish. Okay." Sawatari accepted the amulet and put it around his neck. "How do I look?" Sawatari posed.

"Dashing." Gloria humored Sawatari. "Just be careful."

"Don't worry, I'll see you again." Sawatari said confidently.

Virtual World – Wasteland Area

Sawatari pulled the amulet out of his shirt and looked at it. "As a man you called your equal, I have to keep my promise." Sawatari picked some Amazoness cards.

"I assume you have picked your Deck Master." Daimon said.

"My Deck Master is…Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon!" Yuya chose his ace this time.

"And my Deck Master is…Abyss Actor – Big Star!" Sawatari chose his ace.

"As for my Deck Master…" Daimon snapped his fingers and Psycho Shocker appeared behind him.

"Psycho Shocker…if I recall that monster can negate and destroy Trap Cards." Yuya thought.

"Which means our Trap Cards will be useless." Sawatari thought.

"Now, let's begin!" Daimon said.

"Duel!" Yuya, Sawatari and Daimon declared.

"My turn! Draw!" Daimon drew his card. "I summon Axe Dragonute (ATK: 2000, LV: 4)!" Daimon summoned a powerful dragon with an axe. "Then, I set one card and end my turn!"

Yuya LP: 4000, Hand: 5

"A 2000 Attack Point monster at the very start." Sawatari said. "My turn! Draw!" Sawatari drew his card. "I summon Abyss Actor – Sassy Rookie (DEF: 1000, LV: 4) in Defense Position!" Sawatari's actor appeared and took a defensive stance.

"I end my turn!" Sawatari finished.

"My turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card. "I summon Dragonpulse Magician (ATK: 1800, LV: 4)!" Yuya summoned his magician with twin bladed sword. "Next, I set one card and end my turn!"

Yuya LP: 4000, Hand: 4

"My turn! Draw!" Daimon drew his card. "Knowing Yuya Ryuga, that set card is most likely a Quick-Play Magic to get around Psycho Shocker's effect. And Sassy Rookie is able to negate its destruction once per turn."

Daimon looked at his hand. "I activate the Magic Card: Trade In! By sending a Level 8 or higher monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I can draw two cards!" Daimon discarded a monster and drew two cards.

"From my hand, I activate Guardragon Garmides' effect! When a Normal Monster is sent from my hand to the Graveyard, I can Special Summon this card! Come forth! Guardragon Garmides (ATK: 1600, LV: 3)!" Daimon summoned a dragon with blue gems.

"Next, I Normal Summon Spear Dragon (ATK: 1900, LV: 4)!" Daimon summoned another dragon.

"Battle! Spear Dragon, attack Sassy Rookie!" Spear Dragon flew towards the actor and struck it.

"Sassy Rookie can negate its destruction once per turn!" Sawatari shouted.

"Spear Dragon's Monster Effect! When it attacks a monster in Defense Position, if its Attack Points are greater than the opposing monster's Defense Points, it can deal piercing damage!" Daimon shouted. A shockwave hit Sawatari and he was blown back.

Sawatari LP: 4000→3100

"After battling, Spear Dragon shifts to Defense Position!" The dragon crouched down.

Spear Dragon (DEF: 0)

"Guardragon Garmides, attack Sassy Rookie!" The other dragon charged in and destroyed Sassy Rookie.

"When Sassy Rookie is destroyed, I can Special Summon a Level 4 or lower Abyss Actor monster from my deck! Come! Abyss Actor – Curtain Raiser (ATK: 1100, LV: 4)!" Sawatari summoned his monster dressed as a circus tent.

"When Curtain Raiser is the only monster on my field, it gains 1100 Attack Points!" Sawatari made his monster stronger.

Curtain Raiser (ATK: 1100→2200)

"Axe Dragonute, attack Dragonpulse Magician!" The dragon charged in and raised his axe.

"Quick-Play Magic: Mentor's Rescue! When Dragonpulse Magician is attacked, I can Special Summon Dragonpit Magician from my deck in Defense Position!" Dragonpit Magician appeared.

Dragonpit Magician (DEF: 2700, LV: 7, PS: 8)

"Furthermore, Dragonpulse Magician's Attack Points increase by Dragonpit Magician's Attack Points!" Dragonpit gave his power to Dragonpulse, making him stronger.

Dragonpulse Magician (ATK: 1800→2700)

"Oh yeah! Now Dragonpulse can counterattack!" Sawatari smiled.

"I knew you would plan something like that." Daimon smiled.

"What?!" Yuya gasped.

"With your Trap Cards sealed, you would resort to Magic Cards that would help make your monsters stronger. But those power boosts are useless against this card! I activate the Trap Card: Amanojaku's Curse! This reverses all increases and decreases in Attack and Defense Points!" The curse then turned Dragonpulse Magician's power boost into a power drop.

Dragonpulse Magician (ATK: 1800→900)

"Go! Axe Dragonute, attack Dragonpulse Magician!" The axe wielding dragon cut down the student in front of the mentor.

Yuya LP: 4000→2900

"After battling, Axe Dragonute switches to Defense Position." Axe Dragonute switched to a defensive position.

Axe Dragonute (DEF: 1200)

"Damn it, I can't believe he was the first one to do damage." Sawatari cursed.

"Don't worry, Sawatari. We'll make a comeback." Yuya winced from the pain.

"Then you better start your comeback soon." Daimon said. "From my hand, I activate the Continuous Magic: Future Fusion! By sending Fusion Materials from my deck to the Graveyard, during my 2nd Standby Phase after this card's activation, I am able to perform a Fusion Summon!"

"From my deck, I choose five Dragon-type monsters." Daimon showed his five dragons.

"Five Dragons?! You can't be—" Sawatari sweated.

"That's right, during my second Standby Phase, the Five God Dragon will appear on the field!" Daimon revealed. "I set two cards and activate the Continuous Magic: Mirage of Nightmare! I end my turn!"

"Damn it! If we don't finish this guy off, he's gonna summon his Five God Dragon." Sawatari cursed. "My turn! Draw!"

"At this moment, Mirage of Nightmare's effect activates! I am allowed to draw until I have four cards in my hand!" Daimon drew four more cards.

Sawatari looked at his hand and he smiled. "You're Future Fusion has a big weakness!" Sawatari smiled.

"Weakness?" Daimon questioned.

"Yes. In order for your Fusion Monster to show up, Future Fusion must remain on the field, but if it's destroyed, you can't summon your Fusion Monster!" Sawatari revealed.

"Using the Scale 1 Abyss Actor – Devil Heel and the Scale 8 Abyss Actor – Funky Comedian, I set the Pendulum Scale!" Sawatari set his Pendulum Scale. "With this, I can simultaneously summon monsters from Levels 2 to 7!"

"The stage is set! Now let the spotlights of the heavens shine down on the dark underworld! Pendulum Summon! Come forth!" The portal above Sawatari opened and two monsters appeared.

"From the Extra Deck, Abyss Actor – Sassy Rookie (ATK: 1700, LV: 4, PS: 2)! And from my hand, Abyss Actor – Wild Hope (ATK: 1600, LV: 4, PS: 2)!" Sawatari summoned his rookie and cowboy to the field. "Because I have more monsters, Curtain Raiser's Attack Points go down." Sawatari noted.

Curtain Raiser (ATK: 2200→1100)

"Now, I activate my Big Star's Deck Master effect! By returning a Magic Card from my hand to my deck, I can add one Abyss Script Magic Card from my deck to my hand, but after activating it, the card is banished! The card I choose is Abyss Script – Rise of the Demon King!" Sawatari activated the card.

"For every Abyss Actor monster, I have on my field, I can destroy one card on the field! I have three, so I can destroy three cards. I, of course, destroy Future Fusion along with Spear Dragon and Axe Dragonute!" Sawatari pointed.

"Alright! With this, we've sealed Five God Dragon's summon!" Yuya smiled.

"Go!" Sawatari shouted as his Magic Card fired a blast. The two blasts destroyed Axe Dragonute and Spear Dragon. But as the third headed for Future Fusion, it changed course and destroyed Mirage of Nightmare. "What?!"

"I already knew about Future Fusion's weakness." Daimon said. "That's why I set this card. The Trap Card: Misdirection! When one of my cards are targeted by an effect, I can change that target to another card on my field! I changed the target from Future Fusion to Mirage of Nightmare, thank you for letting me keep the cards I've drawn."

"Damn it! I activate Evil Heel's Pendulum Effect! I send Curtain Raiser to my Extra Deck to decrease Guardragon Garmides' Attack Points by Curtain Raiser's Attack Points until the end of this turn!" Curtain Raiser disappeared and Guardragon Garmides got weaker.

Guardragon Garmides (ATK: 1600→500)

"Battle! Wild Hope, attack Guardragon Garmides!" Wild Hope aimed his gun at the very weak dragon.

"At this moment, I activate the Continuous Trap: Protective Seal Wall of Light!" Daimon roared as a wall of light protected his monsters from Wild Hope's Attack and after a while, he fell to his knee.

Daimon LP: 8000→3000

"What?" Sawatari gasped.

"Protective Seal Wall of Light. By paying Life Points, I can prevent my opponent from attack with any monsters with Attack Points less or equal to the amount of Life Points I just paid. I paid 5000, meaning you can't attack unless your monster's Attack Points are greater than 5000." Daimon sweated.

"Damn it…if only Rise of the Demon King wasn't banished…I end my turn." Sawatari cursed. "At this moment, Evil Heel's Pendulum Effect ends and Guardragon Garmides Attack Points return to normal." Sawatari cursed.

Guardragon Garmides (ATK: 500→1600)

Yuya LP: 2900, Hand: 4

"My turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card. "Pendulum Switch. I could use this card to move Dragonpit Magician to my Pendulum Scale and then set Oafdragon Magician! With Dragonpit Magician's effect, I could destroy his Trap Card, but…" Yuya looked at Daimon who smiled confidently.

"Psycho Shocker negates the effects of Trap Cards on the field, except for Daimon's field. Right now, I don't have any cards in my hand to take care of it. I have no choice, but to hold off until next turn." Yuya thought.

"I summon Double Iris Magician (DEF: 1000, LV: 4, PS: 8) in Defense Position!" Yuya summoned a monster dressed like Odd-Eyes and a sword. "I end my turn."

Sawatari LP: 3100, Hand: 1
Yuya LP: 2900, Hand: 4

"My turn! Draw!" Daimon drew his card. "In one more turn, Five God Dragon will descend on this field. But I don't feel like waiting anymore, I'm summoning Five God Dragon right now!"

"What?!" Yuya and Sawatari gasped.

"From my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Dragon's Mirror!" Daimon showed his card, shocking Yuya and Sawatari. "I banish five Dragon-type monsters from my Graveyard and fuse them!" Five Dragons appeared and they started to fuse together.

"Elements of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth and Darkness, combine into one and create a creature that overpowers Blue-Eyes! Fusion Summon! Appear! Five God Dragon (ATK: 5000, LV: 12)!" Daimon summoned the five headed dragon to the field.

"He really summoned it." Sawatari sweated.

"Battle! Five God Dragon, attack Abyss Actor – Wild Hope!" Five God Dragon prepared to unleash its attack.

"I activate Funky Comedian's Pendulum Effect! I release Sassy Rookie's Attack Points to Wild Hope's Attack Points!" Sassy Rookie disappeared and Wild Hope gained its power.

Wild Hope (ATK: 1600→3300)

"Go! Five God Dragon! Five Elemental Roar!" Five God Dragon unleashed its roar and it destroyed Wild Hope instantly and Sawatari tried to brace himself but he was blown off his feet.

"Sawatari!" Yuya cried out. Sawatari's back hit a large boulder and a loud crack was heard, making Sawatari cry as he held his shoulder.

Sawatari LP: 3100→1400

"You're next, Yuya Ryuga!" Daimon pointed at Yuya. "From my hand, I activate the Quick-Play Magic: Five God Rampage! By reducing its Attack Points in half, Five God Dragon is allowed to bypass your monsters and attack you directly! Five God Dragon, attack Yuya Ryuga! Five Elemental Roar!"

Five God Dragon (ATK: 5000→2500)

And even though the Attack Points were reduced, Yuya still felt incredible pain as the roar attack struck him and he screamed.

Yuya LP: 2900→400

"I will win this Duel and Academia's plan will come to fruition!" Daimon laughed as Yuya and Sawatari grunted in pain.

Reiji vs Noah

"You really are a cold and heartless person." Noah said. "I just want to live again and you want to take it away from me."

"I'm sorry for what happened to you, but you can't change the past." Reiji fixed his glasses. "Nor do you have the right to take away someone's future."

"But didn't you change the past? And didn't you take away someone's future?" Noah questioned. "During the Maiami Championship, you erased the memories of three students of LDS so you could let Shun Kurosaki enter the tournament, and you turned your sibling, Reira, into a weapon to fight Academia."

"What happened to Reira was not my decision, that was my mother." Reiji said.

"But the fact that you allowed it to happen proves that you don't care about Reira." Noah said. "In that case, you wouldn't mind if I do this." Noah snapped his fingers and a circle appeared above him.

"What are you doing?" Reiji questioned.

Appearing from the circle was Reira. "Reira!" Reiji screamed.

"Brother!" Reira reached out to Reiji before Noah grabbed him by his head. "Now, give your offering to god!" Reira screamed in pain while Noah glowed a golden light.

Noah LP: 1400→4000

"Reira!" Reiji screamed. "Stop it! Let him go!"

Noah smiled and let go of Reira, who passed out in front of him. "This is what will happen from now on. Unless you can defeat me in one turn, I will keep replenishing my Life Points every time I'm damaged."

"You little brat…" Reiji was now officially furious. It took a lot for him to lose his cool but now he was at his boiling point.

"Now, let's continue. And let's have fun." Noah laughed maniacally.

And that is the end of Chapter 10. We're getting close to the end of this Virtual World part and then we'll be moving back to Academia. Hope you guys are looking forward to that part, especially the big battles to come.
