Eve was in her library doing some research. "Hm…by doing this I should be able to extract the Eve Factor while also killing the dragon at the same time. Now whether or not that kills the girl…"
Just then a loud smash was heard, causing Eve to drop her book and enter her lab. Her eyes widened as she saw the cage that she locked Rin in was busted open. "Damn it! The girl couldn't do that on her own, the dragon is still possessing her."

Carly and Faker smiled confidently while Jack and Kaito didn't like the situation that they found themselves in.
"What's wrong, Kaito? It's your turn." Faker said.
"Dad…" Kaito put his fingers on his deck. "That Parasite Fusioner is the reason why Dad and Carly are acting like this. I have to get rid of it, but…the biggest obstacle is Dad's Numbers. That monster reflects all damage towards us and it can't be destroyed in battle. But on the off chance that we destroy it with a card effect, it might have a nasty effect that could backfire."
"My turn!" Kaito put his fingers on his deck. "Galaxy-Eyes, I've used you as a means to wipe out Academia from taking our home, now I need you to help me save my father. Please…"
"Draw!" Kaito drew his card and he smiled which alarmed Doctor Faker. "I activate the Rank-Down Magic Cipher Fall!"
"Rank-Down?" Faker questioned.
"Remember what you told me father, the best way to defeat your enemy when you have no power is the use the enemy's power against them! Cipher Fall's effect when I have no monsters on my field, I'm allowed to use an opponent's monster Xyz Monster as Xyz Material to Xyz Summon a monster that has a lower Rank!" Kaito revealed.
"What?!" Faker exclaimed. Heart-eartH Dragon turned into purple light and entered the spacelike portal in front of Kaito.
"Galaxy shining in the darkness, dwell in the demonic god of revenge and become my very servant! Rank Down Xyz Change! Descend, Rank 8! Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon (ATK: 3000, RNK: 8, OVU: 4)!" Kaito brought out a second copy of his dragon.
"I activate Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon's effect! By using one Overlay Unit, I can take control of one monster on the opponent's field and treat them as a Galaxy-Eyes! Cipher Projection!" Galaxy-Eyes's wings let out rays of light on Astaroth.
Cipher Dragon (OVU: 4→3)
"Continuous Trap: Parasite Guard!" Carly played her set card. "This card prevents monsters with Parasite Fusioner equipped on it from being affected by card effects!"
"In that case…Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, attack Dr. Faker! Cipher Stream of Annihilation!" Galaxy-Eyes unleashed its breath attack and it struck Dr. Faker, making him fall back.

"Sorry, Dad…but you were the only option left." Kaito apologized.
"Excellent Kaito…" Faker gave a small smile before grunting in pain and his expression changed to a scowl. "You damn brat."
"Galaxy-Eyes is the best card you and Haruto gave me for my birthday. If there's a card that can break you out of that parasite's control it's this card." Kaito grabbed another card from his hand. "I set one card and end my turn!"

"My turn! Draw!" Faker drew his card. "This card cannot be Normal Summoned, but by removing all Overlay Units from an Xyz Monster on the field, I can Special Summon this card! I removed all of Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon's Overlay Units!" All of the yellow Overlay Units disappeared from Cipher Dragon.
Cipher Dragon (OVU: 3→0)
"Appear! Garbage King (ATK 0, LV: 8)!" Faker summoned a fiend dressed like a king in garbage. Garbage King's Attack Points is determined by the number of Overlay Units that was removed to summon it times 800! With three of them removed, its Attack Points are 2400!"

"Then, I activate the Magic Card: Parasite Discharge! This card Special Summons a Parasite Fusioner from my hand, deck or Graveyard! Appear! Parasite Fusioner (ATK: 0, LV: 1)!" Faker summoned the horrible parasite.
"When Parasite Fusioner is Special Summoned, I can perform a Fusion Summon! I fuse Parasite Fusioner with Garbage King!" Garbage King and Parasite Fusioner entered the spiraling vortex.
"King of the infinite pile that kills nature! Become one with the inner voice and become a new power! Fusion Summon! Appear! Beast that is created from the infinite landfills! Garbage Incinerator Dragon (ATK: 0, LV: 9)!" Faker summoned a giant dragon made out of garbage with a furnace in its chest.
"Garbage Incinerator Dragon's Attack Points are doubled the amount of the Garbage monster used to summon it! Also, Parasite Fusioner becomes an Equip Card!" Parasite Fusioner equipped itself to the dragon.
Garbage Incinerator Dragon (ATK: 0→4800)
"4800 Attack Points…" Kaito gritted his teeth.
"Kaito, if I attack you, you'll use your set cards to negate the attack and summon a copy of Galaxy-Eyes and use it to Rank-Up?" Faker asked his son.
"Maybe, but your monster is still stronger. So go ahead an attack." Kaito said.
"Heh…true…but my options are still open! Battle! Garbage Incinerator Dragon, attack Clock Resonator! Garbage Hell Breath!" Garbage Incinerator Dragon unleashed its breath attack on Clock Resonator.
"Clock Resonator can negate its destruction once per turn!" Jack crossed his arms.
"Garbage Incinerator Dragon's effect activates! When it attacks a monster but fails to destroy it, that monster is returned to the bottom of the owner's deck and they take 1000 points of damage! Be buried by garbage!" Garbage Incinerator Dragon raised its food and smashed Clock Resonator flat making it return to the deck and Jack got burned from the fire of its furnace.

"Next, I'm able to draw one more card!" Faker drew one more card. "I end my turn! At the End Phase, I must discard one Garbage monster from my hand to the Graveyard or Garbage Incinerator Dragon will be destroyed." Faker discarded the card he drew.

"Well, Jack. What's your move now?" Carly asked. "Even if you did bring back Red Demon's, our monsters are immune to its effect. And even if you did evolve it, you would only end up hurting your partner. Face it, you're too predictable."
"Then I'll just have to be unpredictable." Jack didn't seem fazed at all. "My turn! Draw!" Jack drew his card. "I activate the Magic Card: Care of Demise! I draw until I have five cards in my hand! But in five turns, I must discard my entire hand!" Jack drew four more cards.
"When I have no monsters on my field, I can Special Summon this monster but cutting its Attack and Defense Points in half! Appear! Vice Dragon (ATK: 1000, LV: 5)!" Jack summoned a dragon. "Next, I summon the Tuner Monster, Trap Resonator (ATK: 1100, LV: 3)!" Jack summoned a purple-colored resonator monster.
"I'm Tuning my Level 5 Vice Dragon with my Level 3 Trap Resonator!" Trap Resonator turned into three green rings and Vice Dragon flew through them and became five stars.
The King's determination is conceived with a flame that burns red and becomes a crimson blade! Appear from beyond the burning hot waves. Synchro Summon! The burning fierce god, Crimson Blader (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Jack summoned his dual wielding swordsman.
"Crimson Blader…but that monster is too weak to destroy any of ours." Carly shrugged it off.
"If you really think I'm predictable then you should know Trap Resonator's effect." Jack smirked.
"Huh?" Carly questioned.
"When Trap Resonator is used as Synchro Material, for the rest of this turn, I'm allowed to activate Trap Cards from my hand! From my hand, I activate the Trap Card: Buster Mode!"
"Buster Mode?!" Carly exclaimed.
"By releasing one Synchro Monster on my field, I can Special Summon a Slash Buster monster that has the same name as the released Synchro Monster! I release Crimson Blader! Crimson blades sharpened to cut through even the thickest of defenses! Come forth! Crimson Blader Slash Buster (ATK: 3300, LV: 10)!" Jack summoned an evolved Crimson Blader.
"I've never seen this before." Carly admitted.
"Carly, I found this after Zero Reverse happened." Jack showed the letter he found, making her eyes widen. "In this letter, you wished that I would continue to be the King that the children admire and that I would find a Duelist that can push me beyond my limits! I found that Duelist Carly and though I lost the title of King, the children still look up to me!"
"The only reason that I'm here right now is so that I could continue to honor your wishes! That's why I'll crush that disgusting parasite that's taking over you and take you back home!" Jack pointed to the Parasite Fusioner.
"Battle! Crimson Blader Slash Buster, attack Fortune-Telling Devil – Astaroth!" Crimson Blader charged into battle. "When it attacks, its Attack Points increase by 300 points!"
Crimson Blader Slash Buster (ATK: 3300→3600)
Crimson Blader struck at Astaroth, and damaging Carly.
Carly LP: 4000→3600
"Parasite Fusioner's effect! If the equipped monster would be destroyed, I can destroy this card instead!" Carly got rid of the Parasite Fusioner to keep Astaroth on the field.
"Crimson Blader Slash Buster is allowed to attack twice per turn! Go! Attack Astaroth!" Crimson Blader charged in again.
"I activate my Trap Card: Power Parasite! With this card, I can equip a Parasite Fusioner from my Graveyard to a monster on my field and have it gain 300 Attack Points!" Carly made Parasite Fusioner come back.
Astaroth (ATK: 3200→3500)
"But Crimson Blader's Attack Points go up as well since it's attacking!" Jack pointed out.
Crimson Blader Slash Buster (ATK: 3600→3900)
Crimson Blader Slash Buster struck again. "I activate Parasite Fusioner's effect!" Carly grunted, protecting her monster.

Astaroth (ATK: 3500→3200)
"Too bad…as long as I have Parasite cards in my deck, Parasite Fusioner will always come back!" Carly smiled.
"Carly…" Jack gritted his teeth.
"I activate my Trap Card!" Kaito shouted, getting Jack's and Carly's attention. "Cipher Self Projection! During the Battle Phase of any player's turn, this card transforms Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon into one monster on the opponent's field! I transform Cipher Dragon into Crimson Blader Slash Buster!" Cipher Dragon let its wings shine on itself before transforming into a copy of Crimson Blader Slash Buster.
"Jack, you can still get through to her! Cut that parasite into nothingness! I activate my Quick-Play Magic: Double Silhouette Attack! When there are two monsters on the field with the same name, by releasing one of them, it allows the other monster to attack once more!" Kaito released his monster.
"Kaito…you…" Jack looked at Kaito. "Carly, it's time to free you from Academia's control!" Jack's Signer Mark glowed and its light went into Crimson Blader Slash Buster's swords. "Crimson Blader Slash Buster, attack Astaroth!" Crimson Blader Slash Buster charged in and because it attacked, it's Attack Points went up.
Crimson Blader Slash Dragon (ATK: 3900→4200)
Crimson Blader finally sliced through Astaroth and Carly winced from the damage.
Carly LP: 3200→2200
"Now, Crimson Blader Slash Buster's final effect! When it destroys a monster in battle, the opponent takes damage equal to the destroyed monster's Attack Points!" Jack revealed.
"What?!" Carly exclaimed.
"Get out of Carly!" Crimson Blader clanged his swords together, creating a strong crimson light, making Carly looked directly at it. Inside her brain, the parasite was instantly burned to ashes and Carly screamed in pain and she fell backwards.

"No!" Faker shouted.
"I set two cards and end my turn!" Jack finished his turn. "And since Carly's turn would have been next, it goes to the next person!" This made Faker sweat.

"My turn! Draw!" Kaito drew his card. "I activate my Rank-Up Magic Life Force! By paying half of my Life Points, I'm allowed to use an Xyz Monster in my Graveyard as material to Xyz Summon an Xyz Monster that is one rank higher!" Kaito grunted as he gave up his Life Points. "Revive! Galaxy-Eyes!" Galaxy-Eyes returned to the field.
Kaito LP: 3300→1650
Galaxy-Eyes then soared into the sky. "Galaxy shining in the darkness. Release the forever unchanging light and become the beacon that illuminates the future! Rank-Up Xyz Change! Descend, Rank 9! Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon (ATK: 4500, RNK: 9, OVU: 1)!" Kaito summoned his evolved Galaxy-Eyes.
"But…I still have a Parasite Fusioner on my field! Even if you raise its Attack Points and battle, my monster won't be destroyed!" Faker pointed out.
"I activate my Trap Card: Buster Overload! By releasing a Buster Monster on the field, I can destroy all Magic and Trap Cards on the field! I release Crimson Blader Slash Buster!" Crimson Blader Slash Buster self-destructed and it destroyed Jack's other set card, Kaito's Double Exposure and Parasite Fusioner.
"At this moment, I activate the Trap Card that was destroyed! Red Curse! When this card is destroyed, by returning one Red monster from my Graveyard to my deck, I can reduce one monster's Attack Points on the field by the Red Monster's Attack Points!" Jack said. "I return Red Demon's Dragon Scarlight!"
"Shit!" Faker cursed as he saw his monster get weaker.
Garbage Incinerator Dragon (4800→1800)
"Parasite Fusioner! Are you ready to repent?" Kaito shouted. "Battle Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon, attack Garbage Incinerator Dragon! Cipher Stream of Eradication!" Neo Galaxy-Eyes Cipher Dragon unleashed its breath attack and reduced Garbage Incinerator Dragon into ash while sending Faker flying back as the Parasite Fusioner in his brain got destroyed.

"Dad!" Kaito ran to his father while Jack ran to Carly. "Dad! Dad!" Kaito called out to his father.
Faker opened his eyes. "Kaito…" Faker muttered.
"Dad, are you okay?" Kaito asked.
"I am now." Faker said. "Forgive me, my son. I failed again to protect our home and now I've done worse, raising my Duel Disk against you."
"It's alright, Dad." Kaito said. "We'll get them back for this." Faker smiled at his son before passing out.
"Carly! Carly!" Jack shook Carly.
"H-Huh? Jack?" Carly opened her eyes. "Where am I?"
"Here." Jack put Carly's glasses on her. "Can you see me now?"
"Y-Yeah…" Carly nodded. "I remember being pulled from the rubble and that mad man…"
"He won't get away with this." Jack said. "I'll make sure that he doesn't harm anyone again."
"That's good to hear." Carly smiled. "Jack…I'm really tired…" Carly passed out.
"What do we do? I want to go after the Doctor, but…" Kaito looked at his weak father.
"We have no choice but to put our trust in Asuka." Jack said. "We need to get these two out of here."
Academia – Hallway
Yuya and Atem stood together as the Obelisk Force stared down at them. "Atem, how could you? You made an oath!" The one with the red gem said.
"What we're doing is wrong! And I'm gonna make it right!" Atem declared.
"Then you will die along with Yuya Ryuga!" The one with the green gem declared.
"Glory on the Academia!" The one with the yellow gem chanted.
"Let's do this." Yuya was ready to fight. All of them activated their Duel Disks.
"Duel!" Yuya, Atem and the Obelisk Force declared.

"This Field Magic negates Special Summons from your Extra Deck and you take 1000 points of damage! Next, I activate the Magic Card: Fusion! I fuse the two Antique Gear Hound Dogs in my hand!" Yellow had his two hounds enter the spiraling vortex.
"Mechanical hounds who carry on the ancient spirits! Flock together and become one with a new power! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 5! Antique Gear Double-Bite Hound Dog (ATK: 1400, LV: 5)!" Yellow summoned the two headed hound. "I end my turn!"

"Here it comes!" Red prepared himself.
"The Pendulum Summon!" Green growled.
"Don't get ahead of yourselves. I activate Wisdom Eye Magician's effect! If I have a Magician card in my other Pendulum Zone, I can destroy this card and place one Magician Pendulum Monster form my deck in my Pendulum Zone, I choose the Scale 8 Dragonpit Magician!" Yuya reset his scale.
"I activate Dragonpit Magician's Pendulum Effect! By discarding one Pendulum Monster from my hand to the Graveyard, I can destroy one Magic or Trap Card on the field! I destroy your Field Magic: Duelists Graveyard!" Yellow's Field Magic was destroyed.
"Damn it…" Yellow cursed.
"Swing, Pendulum of my soul! Draw an arc of light across the ether! Pendulum Summon! Appear! Gravekeeper Magician (ATK: 2200, LV: 6, PS: 4)!" Appearing was a male magician wearing black robes and a gold staff.
"At this moment, I activate Antique Gear Double Bite Hound Dog's effect! Once per turn, when my opponent summons or Special Summons a monster, I can place a Gear Acid Counter on it!" A gear hovered over Gravekeeper Magician's head.
"When Gravekeeper Magician is the only monster Pendulum Summoned, I can Special Summon a Pendulum Monster from my Graveyard! Revive! Odd-Eyes Swordsman (ATK: 1600, LV: 4, PS: 2)!" Yuya brought back his dichromatic swordsman.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Odd-Eyes Fusion! I fuse Gravekeeper Magician with Odd-Eyes Swordsman!" Both monsters entered the spiraling vortex.
"Magician that controls the grave, become one with the swordsman of dichromatic eyes and point to a new path! Fusion Summon! Appear! Level 8! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Yuya summoned Yuri's dragon.
"When Starve Venom Fusion Dragon is Fusion Summoned using only monsters on the field, this card gains the Attack Points of all Special Summoned monster my opponent controls until the End Phase!" Starve Venom's wings glowed as it gained power.
Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (ATK: 2800→4200)
"4200 Attack Points?!" Yellow gasped.
"Battle! Starve Venom Fusion Dragon, attack Antique Gear Double Bite Hound Dog! Acid Venomous Blast!" Starve Venom unleashed its attack and it destroyed Double Bite Hound Dog and blasting Yellow off of his feet.
Yellow LP: 4000→1200
"Why didn't you attack one of us and over with it?" Green questioned.
"A victory without honor or respect is not a true victory at all! You call yourself Duel Soldiers, don't make me laugh! You're a disgrace to Duelists everywhere!" Yuya scolded. "I set one card and end my turn! At this moment, Starve Venom's effect ends and his Attack Points return to normal."
Starve Venom Fusion Dragon (ATK: 4200→2800)
"As expected of the Dragon Soldier, he was able to set up a Pendulum Fusion and with one of the strongest Fusion Dragons in the world." Atem looked at Yuya.

"Mechanical hounds who carry on the ancient spirits, flock together and become one with new power! Fusion Summon! Appear now! Level 7! Antique Gear Triple Bite Hound Dog (ATK: 1800, LV: 7)!" Red summoned the three headed mechanical dog.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Antique Gear Double Imitate! This card allows me to Special Summon two Antique Gear monsters from either player's Graveyard with their effects negated! I will call back…"
"The Antique Gear Double Bite Hound Dog (ATK: 1400, LV: 5) and Antique Gear Hound Dog (ATK: 1000, LV: 3) in my Graveyard!" Yellow revealed.
"I attack the traitor with these three monsters!" Red pointed to Atem. "Antique Gear Hound Dog! Direct Attack!" The hound dog headed for Atem.
"When I'm attacked directly, I can Special Summon this monster from my hand! Appear! White Mage Kuriboh (ATK: 300, LV: 1)!" A white Kuriboh appeared. "White Mage Kuriboh cannot be destroyed in battle and any battle damage increases my Life Points!"
White Mage Kuriboh cast a spell that deteriorated Antique Gear Hound Dog's attack and a white aura enveloped Atem.

"Tch…then there's no point in even continuing to attack, I end my turn!" Red finished his turn.

"My turn! Draw!" Atem drew his card. "I release White Mage Kuriboh! Appear! Black Magician Girl (ATK: 2000, LV: 6)!" Atem summoned the female magician.
"Next, from my hand, I activate the Magic Card: Sage's Jewel! When Black Magician Girl is on the field, I can Special Summon from my hand or deck my strongest servant! Appear! Black Magician (ATK: 2500, LV: 7)!" Atem summoned the famous Black Magician.
"Amazing!" Yuya got excited. "The Master and Student Black Magicians! It's one thing to see it on posters, but to see them this close! So cool!" He remembered seeing his boss, Sugoroku put posters of them all over his shop.
"Geez kid, you're still using those monsters even though I told you to get with the times!" Green scolded.
"No matter how much time passes, I will always remain faithful to my magicians, just as they are faithful to me! From my hand, I activate the Ritual Magic: Advanced Ritual Art! This card lets me Ritual Summon any Ritual Monster by sending Normal Monsters from my deck to the Graveyard whose Levels equal the Ritual Monster!"
"From my deck, I send the Level 4 Holy Elf and the Level 4 Queen's Knight!" The spell caster and knight appeared on the altar before turning into eight flames.
"Become the wind that bears this ceremony, my honorable sacrifices! The heir to chaos, born from the deep darkness…Show your form before us! Ritual Summon! Level 8! Magician of Black Chaos (ATK: 2800, LV: 8)!" Appearing from the eight flames was a magician in black and pink armor and long black hair.
"Behold! The three superior mages of black magic!" Atem declared. "Battle! Black Magician Girl, attack Antique Gear Hound Dog! Black Burning!" Black Magician Girl unleashed her magic and destroyed the Hound Dog and damaging Red.

"Go! Black Magician! Attack Antique Gear Double Bite Hound Dog! Black Magic!" Black Magician spun his magic staff around him before unleashing a powerful magic blast that disintegrated Double Bite Hound Dog pushing Red further away.

"Finally, Magician of Black Chaos, attack Antique Gear Triple Bite Hound Dog! Spell of Destruction! Death Ultima!" Magician of Black Chaos unleashed his own magic attack and instantly destroyed Triple Bite Hound Dog and finally knocking Red off his feet.

"I set one card and end my turn!" Atem finished his turn.
"That was amazing, Atem! I can really feel it, your bond with your cards!" Yuya praised.
"This is how I Duel with honor." Atem smiled. "I'm just following the example that you have shown me. But you're right, as long as we believe in our cards, we won't lose!"

"How dare you undermine the Obelisk Force!" Green shouted in anger. "My turn! Draw! I summon Antique Gear Hound Dog (ATK: 1000, LV: 3)!" Green summoned the mechanical hound. "When my opponent controls a monster, this card can deal 600 points of damage to them! I choose you, Yuya Ryuga! Hound Flame!" The flames hit Yuya.

"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Antique Gear Scrap Fusion! I can Fusion Summon a monster with its effects negated using Antique Gear monsters in any Graveyard! The ones I select are…" Green said.
"The Antique Gear Triple Bite Hound Dog in my Graveyard!" Red spoke.
"And the Antique Gear Hound Dog in mine!" Yellow followed.
"Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 9! Antique Gear Ultimate Hound Dog (ATK: 2800, LV: 9)!" Green summoned the largest hound they had.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Antique Gear Double Imitate to Special Summon with their effects negated…" Green played another card.
"The Antique Gear Double Bite Hound Dog (ATK: 1400, LV: 5) …" Yellow continued.
"And the Antique Ger Triple Bite Hound Dog (ATK: 1800, LV: 7)!" Red finished.
"Four Antique Gear monsters…" Yuya observed.
"Now I activate Antique Gear Hound Dog's effect! When I control an Antique Gear monster, I can perform a Fusion Summon without a Fusion card!" Green had all four of the Antique Gear monsters enter the spiraling vortex.
"Mechanical hounds who carry on the ancient spirits! Join your ten heads and become an absolute power of chaos! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Deity of destruction, return this world to formless chaos! Chaos Ancient Gear Giant (ATK: 4500, LV: 10)!" Green summoned their mechanical giant to the field.
The giant stretched its arms attempting to break the narrow hallway. "Hey, you're gonna kill yourselves too!" Yuya shouted.
"Not if you die first! Battle! Antique Gear Chaos Giant, attack Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" Antique Gear Chaos Giant aimed its cannon and fired at Starve Venom, destroying it and making Yuya skid backwards.
Yuya LP: 3400→1700
"Antique Gear Chaos Giant is allowed to attack all of my opponent's monsters! You're next traitor. Chaos Giant—" Green was ready to attack.
"Starve Venom Fusion Dragon's Monster Effect!" Yuya shouted. "If he's destroyed, I can destroy as many of my opponent's Special Summoned monsters they control and inflict their Attack Points as damage to the opponent!"
"What?!" Green exclaimed.
"Chaos Giant is indeed a powerful monster, but even the tiniest bit of venomous acid can make a goliath crumble." Yuya said as a pool of acid venom was in front of him and shot multiple streams towards Chaos Giant, melting it and making it collapse right on top of Green.
"No! No! No!" Green shouted as he was crushed to death by his own monster.
Green LP: 4000→0
"No way…" Red gasped.
"Chaos Giant…" Yellow paled.
"Now, it's your turn! Hurry up!" Yuya pointed to Yellow.

Yuya LP: 1400, Hand: 0
Red LP: 900, Hand: 1
Atem LP: 4700, Hand: 0
"U-Uh…my turn." Yellow shakily drew his card and looked at his hand.
"What's wrong? Unable to do anything because your strongest monster was destroyed so easily?" Yuya asked.
"I…I can't do anything…I end my turn." Yellow admitted.
"You're a disgrace to Duel Soldiers…" Yuya shook his head. "My turn! Draw!" Yuya drew his card. "I summon Dice Magician (ATK: 1900, LV: 4, PS: 2)!" Yuya summoned his gambling magician.
"Dice Magician! Dice Roll!" Dice Magician threw her die in the air and it landed on five. "Since it landed on five, I can draw five cards!" Yuya drew five new cards.
"Next, I activate the Magic Card: Predator Fusion! When I have Starve Venom Fusion Dragon on the field or in the Graveyard, I can treat one other monster on my field as a Predator Plant monster and fuse them! I fuse Dice Magician treated as a Predator Plant with Starve Venom Fusion Dragon!" The two monsters entered the spiraling vortex.
"Poisonous dragon with hungry fangs! Sweet smelling flower that invites the abyss! Now become one, and indulge in whatever pleases you! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Level 10! Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon (ATK: 3300, LV: 10)!" Yuya summoned the evolved Starve Venom.
"Greedy Venom Fusion Dragon! Direct Attack! Endless Poison Blast!" Greedy Venom unleashed a massive roar of poison that burned Yellow and making him scream in pain as he fell on his back.
Yellow LP: 1200→0
Yuya reached for his hand. "From my hand…"
"Stop!" Red shouted. I surrender!" Red put his hand over his deck.
Obelisk Force: Surrender
Winner: Yuya Ryuga and Atem
The field disappeared and so did the monsters. Red removed his helmet to reveal his long white hair brown eyes. "Bakura." Atem said.
"Atem…you weren't the only one conflicted." Bakura said. "I too have been thinking that Academia has been wrong, but I didn't have the courage to say anything. I just…want to go back home…"
"And we will, Bakura…" Atem knelt down to Bakura. "We'll win and go back home to Egypt where our families are waiting for us."
"Atem…" Bakura looked up. "I'm really sorry."
"There's a ship that's taking the people that were held captive back to the mainland. You can go there." Yuya said.
"Thank you very much. I'm forever in your debt. If you need anything, anything at all…" Bakura said.
"There is one thing. Have you seen the other Dimension Guardians? In particular girls with the same face?" Yuya asked.
"Oh, you mean those girls that the Professor wants us to capture. Um…actually if I'm right." Bakura went up to the window and looked out. "Is that one of them?"
Yuya and Atem went to the window and looked out. "It's Ruri and Shun…" Yuya smiled.
"Hey, Yuya look, there's another one." Atem pointed the other way and Rin was walking towards them.
"Rin too, thank goodness. Now we just—" Yuya froze as he saw Rin push Shun away with a gust of wind and knocking him out. "Wha-What? Rin, what are you doing?!" A tornado was then formed trapping both Rin and Ruri within.
"No!" Yuya stepped backwards a bit before jumping through the window.
"Bakura, get to safety!" Atem followed Yuya.
"Okay…I'll…" Bakura then felt a major pain in his head as a Millennium Item formed around his neck and his expression changed to that of a malicious being. "Finally, the time is almost coming. Humanity's end will be here." Bakura was now wearing the Millennium Ring and he gave off an evil laugh.
Ruri and Shun – A Few Minutes Earlier
Ruri sat up and got to her feet. "Are you sure you're, okay?" Shun asked.
"I'm fine…" Ruri said. "I've rested well enough. I need to see everyone." Ruri said.
"Okay, let's…" Shun then noticed Rin walking towards them. "Rin?"
Ruri looked up and saw her friend Rin with her head down. "Rin? What are you doing here? Where's Gongenzaka and Crow?"
Rin raised her head and her eyes opened to reveal pure green. "Rin?" Ruri stepped back in fear.
"Lyrical Eagle…the time is now…" Rin spoke, but it wasn't Rin in control.
"You're…You're not Rin? Who are you?" Ruri asked.
"The time has come for the Four Nature Dragons to unite and eradicate humanity! And once more, nature will take over the planet!" Rin laughed maniacally.
"I don't know what you're saying, but you're not getting your hand on Ruri!" Shun stood in front of Ruri.
"Stupid human…begone!" Rin unleashed a burst of wind that blew Shun against a rocky pillar hard.
"Shun!" Ruri cried and was about to run but a tornado as formed around her and Rin, trapping them together.
"Now…let's unite our power! Join us, Lyrical Eagle!" Rin shouted.
Ruri's Extra Deck glowed and she saw Lyrical Eagle shining. "I can sense it; Lyrical Eagle Dragon wants to…"
"I won't let you!" Ruri shouted. "Humanity is still worth fighting for! And I'll prove it!" Ruri activated her Duel Disk.
"Fool." Rin activated her Duel Disk. "Then you shall be humanity's first casualty!"
"Duel!" Ruri and Rin declared.
And that is the end of Chapter 15. With that the pillars are all deactivated, but the real battles are just beginning.

Preview: With Rin still under the control of Cyclone Dragon, she challenges Ruri to a Duel in order to take Lyrical Eagle Dragon's power by force. Despite still being afraid of being controlled, Ruri does her best to control her dragon to save her friend. Meanwhile, Asuka has successfully infiltrated the Doctor's Laboratory and is determined to make him pay for what he did with his parasites.
